    I've stayed here multiple times for work and it's been a decent experience.  The rooms have always been clean and well-made with decent amenities... All the rooms I've stayed in had flat screen TVs, microwave, coffee maker, and a mini-fridge.  Those things are always nice for the coffee in the morning to get you out of the room and the fridge and microwave for the late night snack on your dinner leftovers :-)  
    They have a nice lobby with friendly staff. There's a decent bar with a TV that's usually playing some sports game, so if you're looking for a friendly conversation with other travelers there is usually someone.  However, the bartender service can be spotty so you might have to grab someone from the front desk nearby to serve you.  
    My main issue with the Doubletree is for the last 3 weeks that I've visited the pool has been closed.  It's hot as all get out and this is pool season in the ATL.  FIX THE POOL.  After a long day at work I want a cool drink from your bar and a nice dip in your pool.
    Overall, I recommend staying here, it's well priced and decent for an airport hotel.

    You pay extra for parking. $10.00. The shower was very short and had to stoop.  The bathroom only had a half a roll of TP and no backup... Bed was comfortable. Room clean.

    Stayed here to ease the 9am flight, and while I was only in the hotel for a grand total of about 8 hours, I was happy with it. Doubletree cookies always win, for starters.

    Check in took a minute because I showed up at shift change, but that's OK. The room was clean, but the foam pillow I'd ordered wasn't there. (I didn't bother asking about it because it was late, I was exhausted, and it was free.)  Service seemed to be good, for the little bit of dealing that I had.

    The Government Leisure rate was a new one for me - I'd never seen it before - but, with free breakfast, it was a total win. Especially in a place like this where the breakfast buffet is expensive. I don't know if this is a new thing for Hilton overall or what, but I liked it.

    About a 5 minute ride from the airport with free shuttle service every 30 minutes. As a Hilton points accumulator, this will definitely go on the list of choices if I need an airport hotel in Atlanta again.

    Great front desk service and welcoming. We enjoyed our short one night stay. Bathroom vent was broken and dangling but not a big deal. Breakfast was a bit confusing on how and when to pay but figured that out eventually. Decent breakfast.  Rooms were clean and updated. Would stay here again.

    I stayed here for 4 nights. I found it to be great. The breakfast was not free, but it was good. I got oat meal every morning and I loved it. I ate here 2 time for dinner. They offer a buffet for 10 bucks flat including drinks. The food was amazing, a great selection of meat, salad, dessert, pasta etc. I had my milk refilled 3 times plus a big dinner for 10 bucks, cant beat that.

    The rooms were very nice too. I got a king bed room. Very spacious. The tv could be a little bigger but it made due.

    You have to pay for parking but that is expect so close the airport.

    The front desk and dining room staff were very friendly and made a point to remember us.

    I would stay here again! :)

    We wanted a hotel close to the airport where we could use Hilton points.  There is a $10 fee to use their parking lot, but internet was free and speedy and you get a delicious chocolate chip cookie when you check in (don't read the nutrition information on the cookie).  Since we were busy visiting with family and getting ready for our flight out the next morning, we didn't use any of the amenities.  Their contractor did a pretty crappy job putting together some of the things in our room, so our bathroom door didn't really shut and latch (I wish I'd taken a picture of how they installed the sink and the bathroom countertop, it was ridiculous), but shoddy construction aside, our room was nice.  We had a comfy bed and our room was clean and quiet.  I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

    I organized a group of 8 traveling together out if atlanta airport and we met the night before at this hotel.  Staff is great!  We t out of their way to accommodate our needs.  Shuttle drivers Adam and Marvin are amazing!   They took us out to the restaurant and even to the store to get supplies before our trip.  We'll be back.

    10,000 HHonors points were used to get this reservation online.  Status: Silver (so food was not included)

    Note- it didn't matter as there was a Waffle House right down the street had we actually had time to eat here.

    My stay was less than 24 hours:
    Just quick to the airport/rental car place (they have a shuttle if you are not needing to do much here and can live without a vehicle) and then a zip over.  
    -Note: Exercise this drive over with some caution if you are driving a low to the ground vehicle as the road in is adjoined to some gravel... nothingness.

    Their check in is not until 3 unfortunately so two trips had to be made before I could actually do this as I had to run an errand to BFE before I could actually get checked in.  Nonetheless the staff offered to hold my bags if need be prior to my return.  Not sure if there was an additional cost with this (guessing probably), but the gesture in itself was nice.

    Parking was easy but costs $10.  Not sure how this compares to other hotels in the area but coming from Los Angeles, this is pretty much nothing.

    There is a rooftop pool but unfortunately it was pouring buckets of rain on our visit so.. that wasn't a possibility in the slightest.

    Once I finally got here with my kids however, we were greeted (once again) to pleasant staff and warm cookies.  Young kids and warm cookies are pretty much a win win situation.  Added star power for that bonus alone.

    Beds were giant (for little peoples) and comfy.

    There was, however, also something up with the window AC unit not being able to be adjusted in our room but given the amount of time we spent in the room (initially only long enough to shower and then back again for actual right to sleep time) I didn't press about getting this fixed or looked at.

    For a few of the snags (mostly beyond control of the staff) I unfortunately had to reduce the experience a star.  The main snag was the wake up call that I had requested never happened.  Had biology and excitement not kept me up (as well as the backup of my cell phone alarm from the overly meticulous muse for hire), I could have potentially missed my flight.

    The bad:
    -stained carpets
    -stained, very old, uncomfortable chairs in the lobby
    -lamp didn't work in my room
    -phone charger placed far away from the bed; wasn't able to have phone close on the bedside table and have it charge as well.
    -stained wall-paper in the room
    -Shuttle doesn't take you downtown
    -the room smelled like smoke for the first couple of days; I think it was coming from the AC (not entirely sure) or maybe they put me up in a smoking room; there was evidence of cigarette burns on the carpet :/
    -Front desk not familiar with Atlanta Airport and where the shuttle comes to pick you up (very frustrating if the person is new to Atlanta airport and there hotel)
    -10/04: room wasn't cleaned appropriately (trash wasn't taken out and shampoo wasn't replaced)
    -10/05: room wasn't cleaned at all (called front desk and I actually had to go to the cleaning lady and ask for toilet paper and she never came in the room)
    -the AC was very loud; couldn't hear the TV when it was blowing out so hard
    -On the day that I was leaving; at 0845 there was pounding on my door (guess they wanted me to get the hell out of there); it was really scary and disturbing.  Who does that? Can't they wait till check-out time?
    -Don't think they ever vacuum the rooms

    The good:
    -close proximity to the Airport
    -Approx 10 miles from downtown area
    -Comfortable bed
    -Fridge in room
    -AC worked really well (no problems there)
    -towels were plenty (replaced everyday)
    -great water pressure in the shower
    -was able to print and use business center efficiently
    -Staff was nice (front desk and the shuttle drivers)

    I thought DoubleTree hotels were supposed to be one of the best - well, I was very disappointed.  My stay was okay up until the last two days.  I would not stay here again.

    A decent near-the-airport hotel. I've stayed in a few in the ATL area and this is probably the best value for the amenities.

    Pros: awesome Hilton beds, good breakfast (free for Diamond members), close to restaurants and the airport, free shuttle to airport.

    Cons: staff seemed easily distracted. I didn't even get a cookie when I checked in! Parking is $10 (but waived if you have Diamond status), slow internet.

    Definitely worth the price if you are in ATL for a quick trip, if you are staying longer and have more of an expense budget, stay at the Hilton or HGI in the vicinity instead.

    My employer put me up here for a month.  Excellent property!  Hotel staff is friendly and professional.  Rooms are large and clean.   A large fridge was provided due to my long stay.  Hotel is away from the main highway.  Nice and quiet!

    We were here for delta training, so we didn't pay for the room and had no choice in choosing the hotel. I was pleasantly surprised. The rooms were nice, clean and large. We had rented a car, parking is free for Delta people there for training. We were able to check in early. We did have breakfast in the restaurant. It was ok, what made it better were the woman working in the restaurant, very attentive and willing to get you anything you wanted. They made my day better by being so nice.

    Review based on 1 night stay on the 6th floor:

    PROS:
    + Very close to airport
    + Shuttle
    + Spacious room and bathroom
    + Friendly staff
    + Free breakfast with voucher was decent

    CONS:
    - Hallway had a hint of smoke
    - A/C vent is right next to the desk without a way to redirect air
    - Neighborhood seems a bit iffy

    Not bad for an airport hotel.  Met every need I had.  Picked me up and dropped me off at airport with enough time to spare.  Would consider staying here again.

    I was here for a full day conference. This hotel was convenient for travelers, easy to find, and very clean. The staff were great. Lunch was provided by the Doubletree and was both simple & tasty.

    One major downside: our conference was next to the door where it seems staff go outside to smoke because about every fifteen minutes from eight am to four pm the entire conference room smelled as though someone was smoking cigarettes inside. Yuck!

    Managing this differently would make a huge impact on my impression of Doubletree.

    I don't usually check into hotels early, but when I do, I prefer that they let me check in early without getting grief!!! Check-in is 3:00pm but I arrived around 10:40am I was allowed to go to my room and drop off my luggage.

    No grief is exactly what I did not get at this hotel! The front desk was great. When I arrived it was as if they had been waiting for my arrival, I was greeted with a personalised letter welcoming me back as well as instructions for the hotels amenities and breakfast vouchers (worth approximately $12 for each day) parking is free for Diamond members (and maybe Goldielocks not 100% sure). The room was spacious, two complementary bottles of Fiji water per day, and the room had a pleasantly clean feel to it.

    Service at the restaurant was ok. I am aware that my waitress was busy but not that busy to forget items I had requested etc. The drive to the rental car centre is less than 7 minutes. I would recommend this hotel for the proximity to the airport and the service that I received! I am aware everyone reviewing had different opinions but my experience was not bad at all.

    terrible!!!!!! we stayed over the weekend in here and on saturday they have some problems and there was no hot water!!!!!!!!  seriously??????  and it was the same the next day!!!!!!!!!!!!  i will never ever come back here again!!!!!!!!!  no hot water?!?!?!  we came to atlanta for a party and there is no hot water to take a shower and get ready!!!!!!!!!!???!?!?!??  don't do it!!!!

    It's fine for what it is. I'm used to better DoubleTree hotels in different cities. It seems to me that this was a great hotel years ago but now it needs better maintenance.

    Price is right. Very close to the airport. Free wifi. Free shuttle to the airport. Breakfast is not included on the price but you can buy vouchers for $12.

    Rooms are not cleaned well. I saw a lot of dust and some stuff was left behind. For a hotel managed by Hilton I would expect more.

    I would stay here overnight again. But it has nothing special so if you are looking for something more... Don't come here.

    Very nice hotel. Low cost. Comfortable bed. The server is nice. If you check in to thus hotel, they have shuttle bus to airport. The tip is to select room face the packing lot is the quiet. It come with cookie when you check in. The self parking is $10. Please factor the parking into the cost. Very close to airport. The only inconvenient is far from downtown attraction. But it is good with motor vehicle.

    This is actually a pretty shabby hotel.  I'm surprised that a Hilton brand property would sink this low.  Peeling wallpaper in my bathroom, dirty glasses in the restaurant and meeting room, a generally grimy and well worn look to the walls and carpets, filthy garbage cans in the room, hair in shower, filthy stairwell, poor water taste, dirty cups at breakfast, ineffective meeting room partitions (with gaps due to missing components) resulting in major sound bleed from adjacent room.  More like "Troubletree".

    One colleague requested an extra blanket and it took 6 hours to get it.  Another colleague requested a microwave in his room and I'm not sure that he ever got it.

    Only positives were:  a decent (yet small) exercise room, free airport shuttle, decent beer selection at the bar, and a friendly bar tender.

    May want to have the dish-washing machine serviced.

    For an 'airport hotel', this place does a pretty good job.

    First good impression came from the very friendly staff. Not just a onetime occurrence, all of the staff were exceptionally kind.

    Rooms are decency appointed. Clean. Modern. roomy.  

    In room coffee maker was well supplied along with consistent housekeeping.

    The area is in a stressed location with plenty of crime even during daylight hours, so be aware and utilize the hotel shuttle whenever you can. They will give you a lift up the street to a number of eating places nearby.
