Simply stated, quite Grand!  I loved their newly furnished gym, the equipment was up to date and clean.  The rooms on the Diamond guest floors were well appointed, and they had awesome views of the city.  My only complain was initially finding the hotel self-parking spot.

Stayed at this hotel recently for a company conference and really liked it. Great front desk staff, decent sized rooms, comfy beds, and spacious bathrooms. I'd definitely stay again if work ever brings me back to Buckhead.

What a "grand" place to sleep. Went into Atlanta for a week-end. Got a great room rate for what the place is. Quiet. Extremely comfortable bed, and here's the real kicker...Blackout curtains that really black out the room. Sleep for 10 hours (way more than usual for me). Woke at 11:00 (checkout time), because couple we were traveling with knocked on the door to ask if we were packed and ready (obviously not). Wonder how long I'd have slept without that knock on the door. Parking was $20 self-park, $30 valet--kinda on the high side to my notion. Atlanta isn't as tight parking space-wise as New Orleans, and parking at New Orleans Hotels isn't this high.

They have a car that will drive you around, so you can pay $5 (tip) instead of $8 (flat rate cab ride) + tip to get dinner or snacktown. They also put potpourri in all the rooms, but when you call to be relocated to another room, they pretend to not know what "potpourri" is, insist it will not be in your second room, and then watch on security cameras as you round it up and put it in the hallway.

My fiancé and I stayed here on a romance package for his birthday. I LOVE everything about this hotel. The hotel staff was very friendly. The check in process was a breeze.  The rooms were super clean and a nice size. We stayed on the 21st floor. The breakfast buffet was really good. Our server, Larry, was great. They also have complimentary shuttle to take you within a 2 mile radius. Joe, the driver, was nice and very helpful. Everything is close by. I enjoyed my stay. There is so much going on at this hotel (in a good way). We saw a wedding party taking pictures which was fun since we are getting married soon. There were celebrities staying here the same time we were here. I actually felt like a celebrity because they hotel staff provided A+ service. They all looked and acted very professional.  One thing to be aware of is the parking garage is across the street and they charge $20 to park and $30 for valet but parking was included in our package so I can't complain. Oh we did have a problem changing the input on the TV but that was minor and didn't bother with it anymore.

The staff here are exceptionally helpful, the rooms are spacious, the beds are exceedingly comfortable. ( I booked through priceline and got a VERY reasonable rate. No complains there.) My ONLY complaint is the parking situation. This district of Atlanta seems to have been entirely knocked down and rebuilt in 1994. There are WIDE expanses of land between the strip malls and faux-fancy hotels paved over with empty parking lots for largely unused retail (read: mattress world, et al. ) which makes it especially frustrating to pay 20 dollars a night for parking. It makes me feel like such a cheap skate to worry about it but, really? Next time I'll just stay downtown (or somewhere more central? Is there such a thing in Atlanta?) save myself the drive/ gas and feel more justified in spending 20 dollars for parking.

thanks to priceline, we stayed here for 70 bucks and felt like kings and queens, as we normally go for the super 8, motel 6, that sort of thing. it's beautiful inside, with thick, comfy beds and pillows and namebrand soaps and lotions, which we promptly took with us. it's so close to lenox mall and phipps plaza and all the other cool, trendy, expensive hangouts of buckhead (places i can't afford to go). the pool is cool...hehe, and although we didn't use the valet (30 bucks plus tip) or the bell hop (at least 10 bucks), we carried our raggedy yelp and kroger shopping bags up to our rooms with a certain pride. great hotel.

Quite a luxurious - and expensive - stay. The hotel was clean, and the concierge and bell service were supurb.

Room has excellent amenities, including a bed you just sink into and never want to leave, as well as an alarm clock that is compatible with your iPod. There's also a complimentary hotel shuttle to any destination within 2 miles.

My only complaints are the noise from the construction of the Terminus tower next door and the price for self parking - $17 per day! If you're going to drive and have a lot of luggage, do make use of the $24 valet parking. The parking lot is separate from the hotel and is a hikee to the lobby if you're dragging things around with you.

Excellent stay!

I stayed at the Grand Hyatt for 3 night in August 2007. Had a wonderful time. The pool was huge and pretty clean. The area around the pool had tons of deck chairs. It was well lit at night too. Though I didn't use the exercise room, it looked good.

The rooms were big & clean. Bed was very comfy. The view was great too. Loved the iPod compatible alarm clock. In room safe was big enough for my laptop.

The complimentary driver, within two miles, was great. Denny had lots of suggestions for places to eat & drink. He also had some suggestions on what to see in Atlanta.

The MARTA subway station is about three blocks away. You can walk it, though there is a free Buckhead shuttle that will take you right to the station.

The concierge was very helpful with directions to all local attractions. But he didn't know which restaurants would do take-out.

One night I ordered room service. I got a 14oz steak with mashed potatoes and asparagus. It also came with bread & butter. As I started to eat the  steak I realized it was still mooing. Okay, not quite, but I'm not sure it was on the grill for more than a moment. The center wasn't barely warm, let alone hot. I had asked for it medium -just a little pink. I called down and they were very apologetic and asked if I wanted another steak or to try something else. I ordered another steak, which was a little over done, but a least it wasn't red. They also ended up take 10% off the bill. The meal cost $44 with tip (before discount)

Overall a great stay.

This place has gone way downhill recently. My husband and I stayed recently and the room was dirty, the pillows might as well have been filled with pebbles, and the staff was rude. With so many choices in Buckhead, why even mess with this hotel? Go to the Intercontinental instead--every time we've been there, it's been amazing!

This is very nice hotel.  I stayed for 7 nights on a business trip.  One of the few hotels with expectionally good food overall.  All the banquet orders for our business program were very good.  The service is outstanding in every area.  Room service was very good.  Great tasting and fresh food.  They would call me every evening an hour after my meal was delivered to make sure it was okay.  One night they had some trouble getting my order right, but they took the hiccup off my bill.  I didn't get my friendly call that night...hmmm.

Room was very clean, nice layout and decor.  There is coffee in the room (individual paper cup kind).  Nice mini bar.  Plenty of outlets to recharge all your gadgets.

I would have to say that I didn't think the bed was the most comfortable I've slept in.  I felt the sheets were too rough and bunched up too much underneath because of the padding, etc.  but not a big deal.

Overall, one of the nicest hotels I've ever stayed in.

This hotel is very close to shopping and great restaurants in the area.

After staying at many hotels lately, the Grand Hyatt in Buckhead was a pure pleasure.  From the person taking the car, to the check-out..everyone spoke to me..asking how my trip in was and if they could help me find anything.  Ok ...yes valet parking @ $30.00 per day is insane...that should be cut in half.  The Onyx coffee bar was a nice add to the bar area. The garden area in the back was serene.
I walked into my room which was a decent size with an oversized bathroom.  I passed on the $4 bottle of water..thanks anyway haha.  I turn the air conditioning down to 65 and then turn on the fan at night so I have the background noise to sleep by.  I think the TV is a little difficult to operate since it is on a satellite and also uses Windows to operate all of the pay-per-view stuff.  Mattress is so comfy.
Anyway, yes, stay here when in Buckhead...a lot better experience than others down the street. See William Shatner to get a great price !!

Nice hotel. Staff was excellent and our two rooms were extra clean and well appointed (one was a corner suite). Stayed 2 nights, used the valet and their shuttle service while we were there. Onyx was a great spot for the wife and I to relax with a drink and look out over the garden.

Found a reasonable rate from a Deal site online as well.

I really don't have anything amazing or horrible to say about this hotel.  It was just a nice hotel.  I wasn't blown away by anything.  I think it was very clean and the front desk staff were helpful.  We were told to take advantage of the on-site hotel shuttle while we were there but it was always unavailable so that was pretty misleading.  The hotel is in a good location with a lot of places to eat nearby.  The coffee bar downstairs is really overpriced and it's very slow.  I would stay here again if I was in the area because it was nice, but I cannot say there was anything that really blew me away at this hotel.

Beautiful interior - the Hyatt in Buckhead is often overlooked by some of the newer properties in the area, but its lobby lounge and room interiors are far superior. The gym is one of THE BEST ones I've ever found in a hotel.

The property is on the same level as the Intercontinental. It is far better than the any of the W hotels in Atlanta; the Sheraton/Marriott/Ritz properties in this area don't come close in terms of room quality. The only downside is the lack of free wireless access in the lobby.

For the wedding block rate and the excellent service, this place definitely gets five stars.  We stayed here through a wedding block with a rate of 119.00 a night, yep, that's right, 119!! In comparison to the amounts I've been spending on hotels for other weddings, this was amazing.  The hotel itself is very nice, but the staff is truly excellent.  They were very attentive and could not have been more helpful.  The rooftop pool and bar makes for a fantastic Saturday afternoon.

Stay 4 nights for work.  Room was decent size on 21st floor and came with coffee maker and refrigerator.  I could tell it was an older hotel that was remodeled but they did a pretty good job.  The bed was a little lumpy and their were stains on the pillows.  You have to specificly tell housekeeping to wash your linens otherwise they will simply make your bed.  However their service is great.  My tv stopped working one day, I called front desk less than 10 minutes later 2 techs came to my room and fixed the problem.  Everything in the hotel is expensive so plan to pay a lot.  I guess it is because of the neighborhood.

I was happy they let me check in early (1 pm) and got me a king on the club level. The girls at the front desk are wonderful, and always go out of their way to be pleasant (ie. if you walk by the desk).

Please see my blog for more details and reviews.

I did decide I would start running the "Matt Test" to see how Hyatt treats Diamond members. I called the front desk from my cell phone at 7:30 to ask if they had any suites available. The answer was "yes' and the charge was base rate plus $75 or base plus $200 for a really nice one. Interesting.

The gym is decent, has all the equipment necessary.

Room is ok, club is fine but the breakfast choices are limited (some ceral, few bagels, and toast).

Not worth the $229 that I paid.....there was a Hyatt Place a block away for $149.

Total - $229 + taxes = $263.35

Very cool Buckhead hotel.  Good room service food, good restaurant food too.  Maybe the friendliest staff I've ever experienced - from the valet to the house keepers, everyone was very nice and helpful and seemed genuine.  Valet parking is steep, but quick.  Good local restaurants if you want to get out of the place.

I just had to plan a very last minute two day meeting and ended up choosing the Grand Hyatt. Boy am I glad I did! Lindsay in the catering department was so accommodating and professional. Her & the entire staff really went above and beyond to keep our group happy. This is a picky group or upper executives and also the top guys, so I had a lot ridding on these meeting!. I am happy to say I did not get one complaint.

I don't know how the rooms are, but several people said the food from Cassie was very good. I know that next time I need to plan a business meeting, I won't even bother looking anywhere else!!

Thanks Lindsay! :o)

If you're planning to stay in the Buckhead area, please stay here. I had the best hotel experience. Every employee treated us (4 guests) like royalty. The employees would go so far as to pressing all the elevator buttons, bringing in additional towels, pillows and FLUFFING without us having to ask. They go above and beyond. The rooms are large, the beds are comfortable, and the city view from our room was great. The employees are knowledgable & the complimentary driver to and from anywhere 2miles away from the hotel was fantastic!

The only negative I could possibly come up with = no free wifi.

While here for a conference I was totally surprised at the place. The lobby was amazing and staff were on it!

One of the best parts was the room smelt great and not that over powering hotel smell. Subtle and sweet!

After a scotch on the rocks at the lobby bar I slept like a baby in the uber plush beds. Is this place the ritz? No. Is it the trendy W? No. However it is classy and tastefully done. I would absolutely stay here again and come back

great hotel and the location is perfect. a HUGE perk about this place is the car service-- free ride to any place within a two mile radius!!! You have to pay to park as well as pay for wifi, but hotels.com sometimes has a deal that includes parking and wifi for 10 dollars more, which isnt bad at all.
The service is great and the bar has a great view to the japanese tea gardens.
Walkable to the club Havana, Divan, Lenox Mall, Bones, and Buckhead Loop as well as other amazing restaurants.

Because of a wedding, we were able to stay in this amazing hotel that I used to drive by on a regular basis and enjoy it to the fullest.

The rooms are beautiful, and have been recently renovated from what I understand. The bathroom - AMAZING. Towels that actually wrap all the way around someone who's not a stick, toilet paper that doesn't feel like sandpaper, and a scale so you can monitor your weight gain on vacation.

There's a super nice lounge-y bar in the lobby, complete with TVs that were perfect for pre-wedding football watching.

But my absolute favorite part of this hotel was the Presidential Suite, which was the Bride's suite for the weekend, and was gathering central. The place is bigger than my apartment. Kitchen, living room, dining area, office, half bathroom, HUGE master bathroom, and, best of all, an amazing balcony/sun deck, complete with a round table and chairs and some lawn chairs. All of this is on the 22nd floor, so I can imagine that laying out up there would be fantastic.

The ballrooms, which were used for the wedding and the reception, were beautiful. The little waterfall area is beautiful, and a neat little escape from the hustle and bustle of Buckhead. The bathrooms were nice and clean. They also have their own entrance, on the side of the building, so there's no interruption of or by the regular lobby traffic.

The Grand Hyatt is close to Lenox Mall and the Buckhead MARTA station, so its easily accessible. Lots of things to do in the immediate area. If you have the chance to stay there, I highly recommend it. And based on the way this wedding went, at least from an outsider's perspective, I'd recommend the Grand Hyatt for a wedding or similar event too - props to the staff for putting up with us!

Very comfortable digs. I was in town during the SEC championship and could feel the energy coming from the other OOT guests, and only got bothered at night when some crazy Tigers ran around screaming up and down the hallway (rightfully so, I guess).

The room is huge and well-appointed. Beds and sheets (!! Reviewing sheets??) are exceedingly comfy. Bathroom is larger than the one in my townhouse! Negative for no free wifi in the rooms, but I did fine with my iPad 3G.

The shuttle to the mall is verrry convenient, and also extremely dangerous because I then was able to take home boatloads of bags with minimal inconvenience. All of the staff I encountered, from the bartenders to the concierge to housekeeping, were gracious and genuine.

I would build a trip to Atlanta around staying here again!

Should have stayed at the Intercontinental.  The Hyatt is usually a safe bet, but we didn't have the best of luck.  We DID wind up with a decent view of the city, despite the front desk girl telling us we would not have a view at all.  So that was nice.

The bad news... our AC stopped working somewhere around 1 or 2 AM and no one answered when I called the front desk twice.  One of my favorite parts of staying in a hotel is turning the air way down and not feeling so guilty about it (way down = 68 or so, nothing TOO crazy to have caused it to break, if that is what you are thinking!).  So, we suffered and sweated until 9 am or so and decided to hit the road (2 miles away, since we were on a "staycation" instead of utilizing the late checkout of 2 pm that we had previously arranged.  The room was 79 degrees inside at that point.  It was too muggy in the room to stay any longer.

At check out, of course, they ask how was your stay, and I have learned better than to really complain, as all it gets you is 20 minutes of apologies and nothing else.  So I said "fine but -" and quickly mentioned the AC.  The desk guy said something mumbled about it and handed me my bill.  Almost like they knew that room was having a problem?  Meh, sucks for us I guess!

Yea - we won't be back.  Not with all the exceptional choices in Buckhead.

Very nice place to stay in Buckhead - great location. Staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The bar is nice, but I wouldn't order the coffee here. The water (honestly) didn't taste normal and made the coffee taste weird. Bar was great though, and the hotel is walking distance from terminus. Had a water problem where the water was cut off for about 3 hours in the morning so wasn't pleased about that...otherwise, I would have given 5 stars.

What great service, and a very nice property.

Service is so over the top that you have to let it happen.  I checked in before 7am after taking a red-eye and no sleep.  Both the bellman and the room service people have their 5star service to perform.  I patiently let them complete their presentations.

The room service menus offer a nice variety, and the quality of the food is excellent.  Great coffee, large portions, everything very fresh.  All meals are presented on the rolling table, no trays.  Fabulous multi grain bread!

The room is spotlessly clean; the bathroom is not huge but it is still very nice and is an adequate size.  The entire property is in good condition.

I would definitely stay here again, for business or pleasure.

Plus, have your coffee in the Onyx bar in the morning. They make the best latte I've ever had, and the service is beyond perfect.

It is always hard to write a review when you have experienced a hotel during an event, however this hotel (by their admission) likes to do a lot of events including the Masters. Though it carries the name, look, and amenities of a "Grand Hyatt," this place appears to be set up to handle quantity...not quality.

The hotel was an official NCAA hotel during the Final Four and the rooms were very nice, the service divine, the food delicious, the garden was a nice touch, etc.  So why not give it 4 or 5 stars?  It was not safe.  The entire time we were there pick pockets, thieves, scalpers, and undesirables roamed freely through the hotel and the security staff did NOTHING about it even though it was happening blatantly in front of them.  I mean right in front of them.

While we were there we had all six of our NCAA Final Four tickets stolen, a friend had $600 robbed from her purse, and another friend had his wallet stolen.  When we approached security about this they called the police and took the steps needed to write a report but it was reactive not proactive.  We asked them why they were letting so many non-guests roam their hotel and the head of security snootily said, "This isn't Wichita, KS."  I travel for a living and have stayed in plenty of hotels as have every other member of our party...that statement was outright insulting and inappropriate.  In Kansas City the Intercontinental puts the hotel on lock down for Thanksgiving and the lighting of the plaza ceremony but the official NCAA Grand Hyatt in Atlanta can't?  I've stayed in the top 10 hotels around the world including the Oriental Bangkok...don't give me this "Go back to Wichita Dorothy" crap.

Scalpers hounded us in the entrance of the hotel with security standing feet away, they roamed the hallways, had access to the elevators, etc.  NOT SAFE.  That is why I am giving this hotel 1 star.  It is important to note that the front desk, concierge, room service, bar, cleaning, and all other staff members were phenomenal and becoming of what one would expect from a Grand Hyatt...but what is the point of luxurious amenities if you don't feel safe.  This hotel needs a new head of security, new security policies, and some serious apologizing before I would change my rating let alone consider staying there or even recommending it to anyone.  One of the major brands I work with is 2 blocks away and I can tell you we will not be using this hotel any time soon for our groups when they come to Atlanta.  As well, they charge $15/day for internet which is ridiculous in this day and age when you can get it free from Starbucks or even a Motel 6.  I prefer my treatment at Intercontinental where I get free bottled water, free WiFi, and free room upgrades vs. being nickel'd and dime'd at the GRAND Hyatt.

Lock your doors...the front door is WIDE open at this hotel.

Pimping. Came here for lunch paid by the company and ate in the Library Room. It was literally a large banquet room with bookshelves.  3 course meal for lunch was fantastic. The salad was typical but the dressing was delicious.  The main course was a roasted beef with a coffee cheesecake ending it all.  Definitely will return.

This place was quite grand, indeed. This hotel was really committed to quality service from the top to bottom and bellhop to front desk, to bartender, top housekeeping. It was really excellent how everyone had the same consistent message of quality service. In too many hotels, they have areas of strength and weakness (helpful bellhops but rude front desk, etc) but here, everyone was really on point and ready to provide a high quality experience.

The rooms were incredibly well maintained and the housekeeping even organized my toiletries and put them on a little washcloth. Very nice of them. :)

The rooms were pretty nice---nothing elaborate, but well done.

The bathrooms were pretty weird though. We were on the 4th floor, and there was a huge window next to the toilet onlooking the flat roof, where it almost seemed like people would be walking around. That made me feel a bit self conscious!!!

Everything else was great, though.

For the price we paid, I would not say this is the BEST hotel experience I have had.
There is no breakfast, no wifi, no parking included. You literally need to pay for EVERYTHING. The interior is very nice and clean. We ordered room service our first night because we arrived very late. The service was pretty fast and food was ok. Our 5 day stay experience would have been a lot better if there were more amenities included.

I spent a few nights here last week to attend a company function.  Very nicely laid out hotel in the midst of Buckhead.  Good entry opens to the bar - you DO have a take a guess on turning left or right to get to registration (it's definitely not obvious), but that aside, a nice layout.

Good conference rooms setup, again a solid layout.  The breakfast buffet was also very well done (although the omelet chef was pretty random on whether he was there or not).

One important note - they offer a "business package" that incorporates internet access, the breakfast buffet, and a bottle of water, for $30 - definitely a good deal, worth taking.  BUT....it shows up on your folio as "room upgrade".  Don't know what genius thought of that, but assuming you're expensing your room, that's going to create a bit of an issue for you in accounting.

Finally...the real ding here (and I DO like the place) is the paper thin walls and doors.  People walking by all night long (and it is Buckhead, so you're not going to get breaks) wheeling their trolleys? Might as well be in the same room as you.  I was a good 100' from the elevator, and listened to "ding...4th floor, guest rooms" the entire time I was in the room.

Overall, a nice Hyatt, but man, that wall/door issue is something to be wary of.

BEST hotel I've stayed at in a LONG time!!! Service could NOT be any better! The staff is kind, helpful, courteous, and friendly. Beds are the most comfortable anywhere and the location cant be beat for the Buckhead area.
Thanks Hyatt, I'll be back!

This hotel is in a great, safe location near several restaurants and a nice mall (via shuttle service). There is also a MARC station within walking distance

I visited Atlanta on a business trip and worked in Midtown and stayed in Buckhead. It was approximately a 15 minute commute. Buckhead is a very safe area and as a female traveller I was glad for this choice. Midtown is more convenient to my job but I received many warnings about even crossing the street alone in Midtown.

The hotel offered free-wifi and complimentary breakfast with my government reservation. I did not take advantage of either so I cannot comment on the quality, but it was a nice offering. I am not sure if this is standard with all government rates.

The hotel was clean and quiet. The staff was nice. The cleaning staff was a bit overzealous and knocked on my door before 9:00 am. Make sure to use your "privacy" door hanger. The rooms were a bit humid. I had to turn the A/C pretty low to feel the temperature drop. But despite these minor things, the hotel was perfectly comfortable.

There is parking across the street for $20 per day which you can bill to your room. There is a pizza place and a sub shop on one side of the hotel.  On the other side are fancier restaurants. There is a larger shopping center a few blocks away with even more restaurants. Atlanta has more restaurants than people, it appears.

If I could give zero stars, I would. I was just there for a conference, but we extended our stay by two extra nights and I wish we wouldn't have. My iPad was stolen out of my room on Sunday, and the hotel has been less than helpful in clearing it up or assisting me. I will just say that we experienced extremely incompetent management and security staff, and because of the treatment we received I will never again stay at a Hyatt hotel.
I was accused of leaving my door open all day (really?), and then was told by their insurance company that the burden of proof is on ME and not the hotel - so I said, "Basically you're telling me that I might as well leave my door wide open, because the hotel takes absolutely no responsibility?" and her response was that I should have put it in the safe. Yes, I should have - but I didn't, and I take responsibility for that - but for the hotel to not take any at all is ridiculous. The whole thing was a huge cluster, and it was like the hotel had never had to deal with this before. Come on.
I was pleased with the conference and how the Hyatt treated a huge group, but I have to say it was completely, 100% different once the group was gone and it was just us. I have been professional and patient while waiting for them to pull their heads out, but I'm finished with that. What they did is not right, and they know it.
It's unfortunate that the Grand Hyatt Buckhead ruined the last two days of my long-awaited vacation. I wish we would have kept our original plans and gone down the street to the JW Marriott. Now I know better.

This hotel is amazing. First of all, you can't find a better location, central Buckhead very close to Lenox Square. The hotel has covered self-parking as well as a shuttle to take you places in the neighborhood. The construction and finished are all high quality spic-and-span, as are all of the amenities: gym, garden, and pool. The furniture, fixtures, and details are not my preferred modern style, but they are fresh, luxurious and plush. Very elegant room and the best mattress I've ever slept on. In fact I found out Hyatt has a website where it sells the mattress on line.

Thank you the Grand Hyatt Buckhead in Atlanta for your amazing service and you truly deserve the southern hospitality award !!  This is my first time in the Atlanta and I was here for the largest blood disorder and cancer conference in America and quite possibly the world and I enjoyed my four nights here.  Every single staff person that I encountered was professional and wanted to help in every instance.  This is hotel professionalism and customer service at its finest.  Other hotels should take lessons from this hotel and learn from this staff.  From room service, cleanliness to providing me a private courtesy car ride to my dinner restaurant, I was satisfied with every part of this trip and it was in large, due to this hotel and staff.  Thank you very much and I look forward to coming back.  This hotel is definitely physician recommended!

Very nice hotel and the staff is excellent.  The bed was a little firm and not very comfortable.  I thought it was odd that I couldn't get WIFI in my room and the only way to get internet access was through the TV which you would have to pay for.  You have the option to valet or self park and that will cost you as well.  The elevators are fast and that was nice.  I thought the complimentary tube of Aquafresh was a nice touch.  The location is convenient to Phipps Plaza and Lenox Mall, and there are several good places to eat within walking distance.  MARTA is also walking distance and so is the Fork & Screen theater.

When my beach vacation fell through, I spent approximately two days wallowing in self-pity.  Then, I booked a room for two nights at this hotel.  The later decision was definitely the better one.  I really had quite a lovely stay -so much so, that I think I might make "staycations" a tradition.

I decided to take MARTA to the hotel to save on the slightly pricey $20/self parking fee ($30 for valet), as the station is only about a quarter of a mile down Peachtree.  The hot walk on an even hotter July day made the fabulous service I received from the moment I walked in, from the doormen to the registration desk, even more refreshing.  The beautiful lobby area, complete with a beautiful bar/cafe with crystal chandeliers and two story tall windows overlooking a cascading waterfall, truly made me feel like I was on vacation.

I thought I got a great deal with my government rate ($132/night for a standard room), but some ladies I met at the pool scored a reservation on priceline for $89, so shop around as there are definitely some deals to be had.  The room itself was very nice, with comfortable beds, nice robes, stone tiled bathroom, and beautiful view from the seventh floor.  I was a little wary about being in a room right next to the elevators, but it was very quiet and noise was not a problem.

I booked this hotel primarily because I wanted to relax by a nice pool, and the Grand Hyatt did not disappoint.  There were never more than three other couples by the large pool, and there are tons of nice lounge chairs, umbrellas, and tables.  The view of the surrounding skyscrapers is beautiful (I was entranced watching some window washers scale the side of the Terminus building on one of the days), and the pool area got full sun from sun up to sun down.  They also have a pretty Japanese garden and a big veranda resplendent with chaise lounges with fluffy cushions.  I'm just sad I missed the pool bar (only open on Saturdays).

For those traveling from out of town, I want to emphasize the fabulous location.  Though a free shuttle service is offered, I never used it, as all of the best restaurants and shops of Buckhead are an easy walk away.  Even Lenox Mall and Phipps Plaza are less than a mile, which makes for a nice stroll.  The routes to these major destinations all have sidewalks and are well lit, and I felt safe even as a single female walking alone in the area at night.

In addition to recommending this hotel to friends and family visiting from out of town, I plan to return in the future myself!

As a Hyatt Diamond member I've stayed here twice.  I really like the way that they make your stay as comfortable as possible.  The lounge is well apportioned (my party must've drank at least $100 worth of water during our 2 day stay) the rooms were clean and modern and the Buckhead area is nice and central.

I am a little bummed out that there's a $20 parking charge, but given the area, I figure it's routine and at least there is in-n-out privileges.  Front desk staff was very helpful as well.  All in all, a solidly run Hyatt here in Buckhead.

If you live in Atlanta and don't have the time to get out of town, but are in need of a getaway, you should consider the Grand Hyatt Atlanta in Buckhead. Or if you are in Atlanta for work or fun, stay here. I spent a wonderful ladies weekend here for my best friend's birthday. We got an amazing deal on a room here, via priceline and were thrilled to spend the weekend at the Grand Hyatt.

Check-in was a breeze and in no time, we were relaxing in our luxurious room, sipping cava, and readying ourselves for a night on the town. We had four ladies in our room and it was beyond spacious to accommodate all of our over-packing (seriously you would have thought I was staying a week at least). The bathroom, more specifically, the shower was fantastic. I could have stayed there all night, but we had bigger and better plans for our evening.

When we were ready to hit the town, the shuttle service was wonderful. We called down from our room to secure our ride, and within 10 minutes, we were on our way with John at the helm of our big fancy SUV. He gave us a number to reach him and when we were ready to move from one destination to another, there he was. He was great!

We were there in the winter, so we did not get to enjoy the pool and zen garden, but from the look of it, I think I could spend some quality summer time out there - it was beautiful. The staff was so friendly and accommodating. The hotel is beautiful.  I would love to stay at the Hyatt for my next Atlanta staycation.

I attended a full-scale Indian wedding at the Grand Hyatt Atlanta in Buckhead.  It was an amazing wedding and the staff at Grand Hyatt pulled it off well.  The entire wedding and its customs, traditions, and ceremonies took place over the course of several days.  I attended three days of the wedding.

While Grand Hyatt can cover everything related to the wedding, including food catering, the bride and groom decided to have Bhojanic cater Indian food (excellent choice).  Other than the food, I believe the rest of the event was handled by Grand Hyatt.  It was impressive, especially considering the large scale of the wedding.

Each day and each night, one of the ballrooms was being prepared for another function related to the wedding, whether it was the sangeet (pre-wedding dinner and dance), afternoon tea, or the wedding ceremony itself.  Each of the wedding functions took place in either the Grand Ballroom (9,700 square feet) or the Buckhead Ballroom (3,000 square feet).  As you can imagine, the total number of guests was well into the hundreds.  The facilities were well-equipped to handle the crowd.

The highlight of the wedding was when the groom, accompanied by his party, rode in on a white horse.  Both the groom and horse were outfitted in traditional Indian garb.  The groom and his party galloped and danced up to one of the entrances to the Grand Hyatt where he was to officially greet the bride.  (The groom wanted to ride in on an elephant, but either the hotel or city wouldn't allow it.)

During the wedding ceremony itself, two huge projection screens were set up on either side of the Grand Ballroom, letting attendants see close-ups and different angles of various action happening in and around the wedding.  The decor at each of the functions was exquisite and the lighting was mesmerizing.  The DJ and live music were great.

Parking each day at the Grand Hyatt is expensive ($20 per), so I parked inside the Terminus building parking deck instead.  The Terminus deck is less expensive and it's right next door.

Kudos to Grand Hyatt for pulling it off.  I don't think the wedding could have gone any better.  They did a wonderful job and it turned out to be one of the most memorable weddings I've ever had the pleasure to attend.

Professional staff and a lovely, well maintained lobby.  However, the beds were terrible, and we had to pay extra for wi-fi and parking, which was in a separate garage across the street. Here's a tip, Hyatt, skip the complimentary newspaper, and substitute internet access.

Wonderful bargain on Priceline for one of our favorite luxury hotels in Buckhead, which was also the headquarters for our son's wedding more than two years ago.  We upgraded easily to a junior suite and it was elegant and spacious on the 15th floor.  They were so kind to give us a 2:00 p.m. check out on the last day of our Christmas break.    The staff is amazing.   A beautiful and relaxing two days in the clouds!

Stayed here for 3 nights and was not happy with this hotel. It's nice but the service at the front desk is horrible.  They tell you one thing then play dumb when you ask about what you were told earlier. We were told we could upgrade out room since we are diamond members but everyday we tried to upgrade they said rooms were not available when we were told the night b4 that a room will be available the next day. This continued for two days when we decided to finally check out because we were fed up. We ended up checking in at another hotel.

In addition, the hallways smelled like mildew and the showers have cracked tile. Housekeeping did not do a good job with cleaning and restocking the room. Oh and parking is $22 per day and valet is $32. We will NEVER stay here again.

Spent one night here on our road trip. The staff at the valet upon our arrival had some sort of attitude problem but the bell staff was nice. The room was nice and comfy with a king size bed on the eleventh floor. I'm allergic to feathers and wool and they sent three people to remake the bed with foam and cotton. Three people was nice but extremely unnecessary. Also it took them quite longer than average to make the bed. The worst part of the stay was the fact that even on the high setting the AC didn't cool down the room at all. Check out was simple and easy.

This hotel is amazing.  The experience made me not feel like I am on a business trip.

5 star for the gym.  The machines have access to Youtube and I got to catch up on all the Jimmy Fallon skits while walking out on the treadmill!

5 star for the amenities.  They don't provide some amenities, unless you call housekeeping.  I called to get shaving cream, toothbrush, and some lotion.  They gave me this special hand and feet lotion that was from some spa selection. I absolutely loved it and will buy more!!

5 star for sending up the Yoga mat and dumbells so I can stretch and lift light weights while I sit through my call.  Yay for multi-tasking!!!! And don't worry - I did not need to take notes on that call.

2 star for the front desk guy that worked late at night.  He did not give me good eye contact and was kinda grumpy.

Well, any of y'all who read my reviews know that I often say that J spoils me in many ways. Last night, when the stuff hit the proverbial fan with my parents (have you ever tried being an adult living with your parents? It ain't so easy, in my experience.) . . . what did he do? He was home sick with a violent stomach bug but got up to get online and book me a room at the Grand Hyatt so I could have some peace and rest. How awesome is that??

This hotel is lovely and the service is great. A security guard even came to my room because I slept through the two wake up calls I had scheduled (that's how comfortable the bed was and how exhausted I was). Room service breakfast (eggs and toast, coffee and juice) was timely.

They have a really cool TV set up that lets you do everything from order room service to surf the net to check out.

Thank you, my sweet J. We'll definitely have to come back for a staycation together!

The Grand Hyatt in Buckhead is a very nice hotel, with attentive service and nice decor.

The bar is somewhat simple, the rooms spacious and well kept.

Overall it was a nice experience and enjoyable, I would go back when in Atlanta.

The hotel is located in an area with plenty of food options around it, you can walk to different restaurants. For bars and nightlife, you might need a car as the area, although nice, is also pretty quiet.

I had the pleasure of staying here for 4 days this past month, and it was a really pleasant stay!   I travel quite a bit for work, so I have some experience with hotels in this range.  There are a number of fine hotels all within walking distance in this area of Buckhead, but the Grand Hyatt has become my company's preferred place to stay.  It helps our office HQ is literally located across the courtyard, but trust me there are enough other hotel options on this block that you could easily stay elsewhere.   Luckily, the Grand Hyatt has made our stays so enjoyable it is now our preferred hotel in the area.    Service here is spectacular, anything you need they have it and provide with pleasure.   The rooms are nicely decorated, spacious, and well-kept/clean.   I requested a room away from the elevator and they did not disappoint - I had a nice and quiet corner room with a view of the Atlanta skyline.   My rate included wifi which was great since I was traveling for work and needed to be connected.   Food prices here are a little steep, but that is to be expected.

Tip:  you can order breakfast items at the coffee bar in the AM for significantly less than room service or sitting in the restaurant.

Tip #2:   this hotel apparently has a hopping happy hour!   All 3 nights of my stay, the bar area was packed early in the evening.

Stayed here during a business trip and was pleasantly surprised by nice it was. I am just not a fan of the Hyatt normally. However, this location is beautiful and the staff is so nice. The location is right near a Flying Biscuit, so bonus points! The check in was easy, fast and they were super friendly. They've a Japanese garden that the main lobby looks into. Beautiful! FYI- they've a heated pool too.
When you enter your room they have the tv on when you enter with a personalized greeting. As for the room was alright. Standard room hotel room..nothing amazing. I did like that they give guests items they may have forgotten to bring (i.e. face wipes, flat irons, toothpaste, etc.,) They also offered the option to buy the flat iron if you are happy with it too along with some other items. So either borrow while you stay or take it back home with you for a fee. There were a few issues with my room and stay that made this review 3 stars. First off, the room next door was playing loud music late at night. Seriously, who is partying on a Tuesday night in a hotel no where near any nightlife. I called the front desk who took a little too long to tell them to turn it down. Then the music went back up again. I am pretty sure I am not the only person who could hear their music on the floor. Secondly, I am surprised for a hotel like this they didn't offer free wi-fi or some refreshments in the lobby for their guests.

What a wonderful hotel and staff!!! And let me repeat that...the staff here are the best!!

I have stayed here three times during the last 3 months, once for 24 consecutive nights, and from the first day here, everyone (valet, bellstand, front desk, concierge, housekeeping, club room staff, maintenance/engineering, dining room and bar staff) went overboard in their successful endeavor to make me and my wife feel comfortable and at home.

As a result of this most positive hotel experience, I signed up for the VISA Hyatt credit card, which automatically elevated my status to Platinum.  Then, as a result of my highest rewards level in another hotel, Hyatt provided the opportunity to me to attain their highest level, called Diamond.

The benefits from both of these award levels are comparable to what you'd expect from other hotels' programs....free wifi, breakfast, clubroom access, etc.

As a result of this hotel, and customer service from Hyatt, I have added Hyatt to my mix of hotels.  I am already scheduled for another return visit here.

This is our 2nd time staying here. The hotel is beautiful & the rooms are very nice. On our 1st visit I had read a previous Yelp review that said to use other parking across the street to save money over the Hyatt parking. I ended up with a boot on my car because they don't allow overnight parking even when you pay the 24 hour rate. Don't use the parking by Jimmy Johns, it's a scam. The gym at the hotel is better than the average gym with several machines of each type. There is also a courtesy car that will take you anywhere within 2 miles and everything is within 2 miles. We have used this service on both trips and found the driver to be knowledgable of the area and very pleasant. Overall this is a gorgeous hotel with a friendly staff and great rooms. Look for a deal on the price and book the Grand Hyatt on your next trip.

Pretty nice Hyatt in the heart of Buckhead Atlanta. The rooms themselves are only average, but the gym and corresponding amenities are above average as far as Hyatt goes. I'm a workout enthusiast and do not usually expect much of hotel gyms. But, their gym surprised me since they had an area to do squats and bench. Although the bar was on a rail, which is not ideal, it's better than nothing! In addition to the gym, they have a sauna and a pool area (which was closed when I went due to winter season). They also have a Japanese zen garden which was under renovation.

The lobby was always buzzing at night with tons of patrons chilling in the lounge with drinks. Seemed like a chill spot. I enjoyed the Club Lounge for breakfast each morning, but didn't get a chance to check out their evening hors d'oeuvres. All in all this Hyatt was comfortable, quiet (for sleeping) and conveniently located near the MARTA.

Okay so this is what I call a luxry hotel! I only stayed here for 1 night but so many things I loved about this hotel. The entrance into this place is GRAND! But that's expected right being it's located in the heart of Buckhead! Very pleasant staff. Check-in was fast! No wait! I was granted the high floor room like requested so that's always a PLUS! They parking for valet is $25 whereas the self parking is only $20 to just walk from the garage! No big deal! At least they offer self-parking right? The package I booked was right thru the Hyatt reservations line and they had a cool Breakfast for 2 included in the hotel price. I thought the breakfast was just OK... wasn't anything too grand but is what it is. I wouldn't let that stop me from recommending this hotel or staying here again! Great job Hyatt :-)

This is not so much review of the hotel but rather a great tip on how to save money and stay at this place. Friday and Saturday nights can be scored for $70 or less on Priceline. Choose the Buckhead area and 4.5 stars and this is the hotel you will get.

You can also score a killer deal on the Intercontinental if you choose five stars, but typically we found we have to bid somewhere around a hundred to get that place.

We had a corner room and there were plenty of windows including one in the bathroom next to the toilet. We could see buckhead or atlanta from anywhere in our room.

Beautiful hotel. Attentive staff. Comfortable upscale guest rooms. Great location.

My husband and I stayed here over Christmas while in town for a wedding. I overpacked as usual, but was surprised at the array of items you could "borrow" or request from Housekeeping! Curling iron, flat iron, makeup remover, nail polish remover, free weights, humidifiers, lighted makeup mirrors...I could go on! "Hotlanta" obviously had its way with my hair, so I asked to borrow a flat iron. Alas, they were all out. Worth a try anyway.

We reported a very minor problem with our television, and the manager on duty went above and beyond to have it repaired for us in a timely manner, even though we stressed that it wasn't a big deal at all. He even comped us a buffet breakfast which was unnecessary but very nice. Service we received here was fabulous from everyone including the valet, managers, waitresses,  and desk agents! :) Also, nothing beats a fancy hotel decked out for the holidays.

This is a lovely hotel so they get 2 stars. However, the fact thay they are in the middle of the city and BLOCK THE SIDEWALK with the valet desk is very inappropriate. They park cars inches away from it so if you're walking through you must walk through vehicle traffic in a crowded motor lobby where the valet guys drive so fast and without regard for pedestrians. The valet are rarely at this post so I really don't understand why its there. I wish they would have more respect for pedestrians and get rid of this thing. Plus, it would help if the valet and the hotel's chauffeured car driver slowed down.

Just returned from a three night stay (business trip).

What sets this property apart is the staff - professionally friendly, but also appear to be genuinely friendly (basically, very well trained!)  Always asking if they can help, offering to go the extra mile.

The food is also amazing - probably some of the best room service meals ever (as a busy professional Mom, I enjoy room service more than eating in the restaurant, but it usually involves a trade-off in quality - not at this hotel).  I also appreciated that every time I placed an order they said it would be 30 minutes - and it was 30 minutes or less (usually 20 - 25 minutes.

I would definitely recommend and will returng ...

The Grand Hyatt in Buckheas is a superb hotel with a few minor problems that reduced my review from a strong 5-stars to four.

Strong Points -
Location - Safe, high class environment, surrounded by shops, dining, malls, and good parking
Communal areas - beautiful zen garden, exquisite, opulent lobby, with beautiful floors and elevators
Room design - simple room, not large by any standards, but with a very intelligent layout. All lamps have electrical outlets to charge your phone, the room phone is cordless, and the television is centered. There were TWO windows in my room and a good view of the surrounding area.
Price - there are good deals for this hotel on discount sites but in general I really felt like staying here was a better decision than staying downtown

Weak Points -
Parking - $22 for self parking? $32 for valet??  Ouch!!!
Linens, towels, and Slippers - there's a sour odor to some of the towels, slippers and sheets that bothered me

I also wanted to add that while I was here, there was even a clothing clearance sale in one of the shops downstairs that my wife greatly enjoyed browsing through! Even I was impressed by the fact I saw clothing made in the USA for reasonable prices! I wish that I was a very important person and could schedule a conference in this hotel because I think Buckhead would be an area that all my employees (who have spouses and kids) would enjoy!

Grand Hyatt, Oh how I hate to check out today! Everything, everyone of the employees from Valet to the bellhop where EXCEPTIONAL!
The bed was indeed comfortable. The room service always came on time. Prices here for the food are worth it, once you take your first bite you will understand. Bring your own bottles of liquor or you will be paying a good $200 for bottles that cost $30 or less at your local package store!! Each of our rooms came with Chocolate covered Strawberry's, Champagne from cassis restaurant on the property! I was the only one who drank my entire bottle, what does that say about me??? :) (over the course of 2days)

We stayed on the 18th floor the first night. The second night we switched rooms to a more peaceful floor. Above us on the 19th floor someone had kids, early Saturday morning cartoons were in full effect! I started to feel like I was home with my own kids, didn't want that so we switched rooms which was NO PROBLEM with front desk!
Very clean rooms top to bottom. There was 3 rooms for my party of 6. We all agree  about the Excellent treatment from everyone we encountered! Special shout out to SAM our bellhop!   Had a wonderful stay and definitely will be back!

My fiancee and I came to Atlanta for a much needed vacation and, through the magic of a random internet booking ended up at the Grand Hyatt.  Our experience here was nothing short of perfect.

The room was perfect, clean and comfortable.  The staff that we interacted with we're incredibly helpful and friendly. I can't for the life of me remember their names, but the bartenders were our favorite of any hotel we've ever stayed in.  Since it was both of our first times in Atlanta we asked for some advice from the hotel bar staff and were directed to some fantastic restaurants and experiences.

The location is great as well.  Though we rented a car, the hotel was within easy walking distance of a ton of places, Lennox Square mall, tons of bars, restaurants, etc.  We parked in the hotel garage, which I thought was a little much at $22 a day (not a common thing where I'm from), but it turns out that's completely the norm in Atlanta, so no big deal.

Overall our time in Atlanta was a great experience, made even better by our hotel stay. We'll be staying at the Grand Hyatt again on our next trip.

Had a very pleasant stay.  Clean, comfy rooms with friendly staff.  They had a very convenient guest car service that drops/picks you up if you are within a certain radius from the hotel - it was awesome!  Check in/out was a breeze.  Food via room service could have been better, the fish tacos tasted like a salt block.  Would recommend and stay here again.

LOVED my stay!!!!!!!!!!

So the Italian was debating between staying here or the Ritz carlton and I'm actually happy he went with this!!  This wasn't tooooo far from the Airport but OMG the driving here is scary! LOL The turn lights or the lack thereof are a frakin trip! We got a little turned around trying to find this gigantic hotel LOL. Finally figured it out and pulled into the valet. They're on it here! Never did we have to wait to get service in and out from the valet. You're always greeted by any staff you encounter on the property. Just nice non nosey staff!

When we were going to the room, the Italian told me we got a room by the elevator, I was like really! UGH! No couple and I mean NOOOOOOOOOO couple wants a room where a lot of foot traffic is near by! I'm not trying to traumatize families, if you know what I mean LOL. So we get to the room and its a nice corner suite so we were confused by the clerk. Maybe she meant we weren't going to have some long ass walk to the elevator and how it was close enough. Who knows, but once we walked in our room it was gorgeous. So spacious! Nice living room area and high ceiling windows. There was a door to have privacy from the bedroom. So a door for the living room, door to the bedroom and bathroom door. Great sound proofing as well ;) ;)

Everything was nice and modern and had a cozy feel. The restroom was nice but my only complaint was how close the sink was to the shower. The shower also could have been a little larger as well. No worries, the water pressure was great and didn't dry my skin out. The temperature control was great, had a thermostat in the living room and one in the bedroom. I slept like a baby!!!! Very comfortable bed. We didn't really lurk around the property. We did room service when we checked in and the wait time was low. Food came quickly, nice and hot! We had ordered a Caesar salad and a flatbread, I forget what kind of flatbread. Also the salad came with a bread basket with butter and I couldn't stop eating it!  Seriously everything was so fresh and seasoned well. I didn't feel like I was eating hotel food. Very solid!

Overall this was a very satisfying stay and I would easily come back to this property no doubt!

Fantastic stay.  If you have read my reviews, you know I can get super picky with hotels (as I think you should!!).  So here we go:

Staff:  all very professional and friendly upon check in, room service, valet, everything.

Concierge: actually knows the city as opposed to looking things up on Yelp right in front of your face!

Room Service:  PROMPT and always friendly even at 6:30 am =)

Meeting rooms:  clean, awesome fixtures and very presentable

Sleeping rooms:  clean, SUPER comfy beds and nice views

Valet:  faster than you expect them to be (helps if you call ahead from room)

Overall, bravo to Grand Hyatt Buckhead...I would definitely recommend this a a meeting space to my company again and gladly have visitors to Atlanta stay here.

Ordered a cheese plate at the bar and was impressed by the amount of food and the great flavors.  Awesome wines and too service.

The hotel itself is quite nice.  Kind of suburban-ish furnishings and lots of beige and yellow, not really my style, but a good nights sleep.  Nice public areas, a peaceful garden, good pool and nice workout room.

I loved my stay at this hotel! we stayed for a romantic night away from home for our 5 year anniversary and it was great.
the room was very nice and clean the staff at the valet and check in were very friendly and helpful.
we got our room with the regency club and it was so worth it the food served was really good plus you could have cocktails for 4 and 5 dollars which is very cheap.
The breakfast at the regency club was really good and the coffee at Starbucks level which I love.

I can't wait to to stay there once again!!
