Positive: rooms good size, comfy beds

Boo: Stayed here for 2 work weeks.  Both times I checked in I had to switch rooms because the rooms smelled moldy. Now, I'm not sure if this is common in high humidity places, but it was gross and overpowering. Then came the giant roaches (and I was on the 5th floor). I called the front desk for help and he told me not to worry about them because they were "water bugs." WTF I dont care what the are, theyre giant, black, roachy looking creepers that were crawling around my room. And it took them 30+ minutes to save me!!  The woman who did rescue me was really nice and awesome - she was a trooper.

Anyway, not my best stay. Probably wouldn't stay here again

This is our second stay here.  Of all of the hotels and chains that we use when traveling, when we come to Atlanta our two children always want to come back here.  The customer service is exceptional.

My stay was short, but it was nice. Some colleagues were staying down the road at the Crowne Plaza and the two I spoke with were very so-so on their rooms there.

The staff was great and I appreciated the hot breakfast. I agree with the good things the other reviewers have said, and I saw no bugs nor smelled any smoke. :-)

The rooms were nice and roomy and two TVs were an added bonus. Kind of a minor thing, but I sure enjoyed the water pressure in the shower. I felt like I was Kramer with the Commando 450 (episode 126, The Shower Head, in case you're interested).

I had Chicken Marsala delivered to my room the first night and while it was great, I was a little disappointed to spend about $10 in delivery fees. I know they all charge them, but geez. I've usually added a few bucks on the tip, but decided against it this time.

If I'm in the area again, I'll definitely stay here again.

I stay here often since my employer's HQ is in nearby. Out of all the hotels in the Perimiter area I like it the most. Service is good, rooms are nice. Although there are many restaurants nearby, I do wish there was a better one at the hotel for nights when you don't feel like going out.

We've stayed at this place a number of times.  Their suites are generous in terms of space and amenities (2 TVs, one flat-screen in the LR and an older one in the BR).  Price is usually pretty good for the weekend, which is when I would go into Atlanta most of the time.  All suites seem to be equipped with fridge and MV and a little sink.  Front desk service has ranged from friendly to vigilante (was the former on the most recent visit). I like especially my Nepalese friend in the restaurant.  He was kind to and took care of my mother during a stay one time, for which I'll never forget him.  The pool is a nice indoor-outdoor split, but the exercise room is small and offers only the usual cardio machines and free weights - there weren't even exercise balls or floor mats.

We stayed here during the Memorial Day weekend. The hotel was nice and clean. We had the room with a supposedly king size bed.  It was not a king size. Overall, the room was great. We had a flat screen t.v., microwave, and fridge in the lounge area of the room. The sleeping area also had a flat screen in it as well incase your guest don't like what you are watching in the lounge area of the room.  Our bathroom had a separate shower and bath tub, which was great. For the price we paid, I was very satisfied. If in this area again I would probably stay here.. For people that like to shop, it's not far from Perimeter Mall.

It's alright, nothing special. Be sure to grab a cookie when you check-in. As a Hilton Gold member, I requested an upgrade at check-in and was given a smoking jacuzzi room. Cool, I thought. After a long day of travelling, a smoke n a soak sounded phenomenal. But alas, the jets were barely noticeable. Quite the disappointment. Same breakfast every day for a week sucks...change SOMETHING for the love of god. Pretty crappy service by the waitstaff down there but I  that's the norm for Hilton breakfasts for me these days.

From the two places I've stayed while in Atlanta, I find the Hilton Suites a bit more comfortable and homey. The staff is really friendly. The rooms are suites so you get your living space, wet bar, fridge, and microwave. Rooms are pretty quite too.

Stuff I wish they'd improve on:
Though they offer shuttle service in a 3-mile radius, it's not frequent enough, leaving the hotel every half hour. I'd think the pick-up service would be better, but I've even been stranded at the MARTA twice now (waiting at least 40 minutes) for the next shuttle even though I call to let them know I am there ready to be picked up.

Also not a big fan of their soaps and shampoos... just really fragrant.

I like how there is a Publix market close by so I can pick up snacks :)

Very nice, had the king whirlpool suite and loved the separate bedroom. Downside was the maid cleaned and forgot to leave washclothes but they were very prompt to provide anything I needed. Will stay again.

Got a great deal from Priceline. Good sized room. Bigger than the Doubletree Suites Nashville Airport. Separate whirlpool tub, shower area. The sink and closet are in a separate walkway area between the bathroom and bedroom.

Con: Smoke smell was throughout our hotel room. When we returned after dinner, it was down our hallway too. Speaking with the hotel staff, no more rooms. Smoking is only allowed on 2nd floor so not sure why the 4th floor smells. Do these people know that smoke rises?

Parking was a problem when we got back Saturday night. Few spaces left - mostly on back side by dumpster. Half the parking lot is dimly lit in the corners. Most lighting is furthest away from building and next to it.

For our Priceline deal, good find/stay. But definitely not worth regular price.

Little older hotel, but nice clean rooms that don't feel old.  I wish the gym was larger, but overall I'm very happy with this location (I've stayed multiple times if that tells you anything).

Walk to uncle julio's across the street, good mexican food and drinks.

I recently planned an education and wine tasting event for my boss and I don't think I would still have my job if it weren't for Marisa and Jeffrey at the Hilton Perimeter Suites. To begin with, Marisa worked for my business as I was planning on using the Westin, worked with our very small budget and created something that was absolutely wonderful. Marisa played it cool while receiving instruction from three ladies with different ideas and requirements, while placating them when what they wanted wasn't feasible. Chef Jeffrey, with very instruction, came up with the most beautiful and delicious pairings I could ever image. They are one heck of a team.

My office building is very near the Hilton so whenever anyone mentions needing a venue for their event I will insist they meet with Marisa and talk their event through with her as she is amazing at what she does. I'd also like to acknowledge who I believe is the banquet captain, Richard, who was patient and nothing but helpful as I ran around trying to ensure perfection.

All in all, the wine tasting was an extreme success and I honestly have no one to thank but Marisa and the Hilton Perimeter Staff. Bob is doing something right!

For an older hotel, this was not bad at all. Came in town for a comedy show at The Cobb Center and didn't want to fool with staying in the city. This location was close to several food options and convenient to the interstate. Service was really good, the manager greeted me by name and offered additional information about the area. The room itself was very spacious and clean. Again not the most updated but it wasn't bad at all.  The living area and bedroom are in separate rooms with flat screens in each space - convenient for families.  Got a great deal using hotels.com so overall great stay, wouldn't mind staying here again!

This hotel meets my standards: feels clean, smells clean, is clean, spacious, and have an indoor and outdoor pool. The pictures of the rooms on its website are accurate.  I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here. My bed was very comfy. I liked the balcony and room set up. My room was completely smoke free ;)
I only hated that the pool and exercise room closed at 11pm.

The guest rooms here are fairly dated. The bathroom had a jacuzi tub with mirrored walls and dated brass/gold fixtures. The marble floors in the bathroom were also EXTREMELY slippery. My only guess is that the cleaning folks used polish on the floors. Everytime I stepped foot into the bathroom I would slip and nearly fall (with or without socks and no matter how carefully I stepped). I am willing to overlook the dated room since it was clean and that is most important to me.

What I can not overlook is the truly awful customer service I received in regard to a billing issue. I was charged for my stay, but was also charged for a mysterious $380 charge that showed up on my statement. When I called the hotel to figure this out I was told only accounting could help me and they only work 8-5. This seems strange to me given the size of a company like Hilton, but there isn't much I could do about it. When I called back during business hours and asked to speak to accounting I was told the front desk is who I needed to talk to. I spend 15 minutes trying to get help from the front desk when they realized that I actually needed accounting. I was sent back to the operator. Gustavo attempted to help me but also could not find any record of the $380 charge made to my credit card. Gustavo tried to connect me to their account person but he was apparently at lunch at 2pm on a weekday. I After trying 3 times to connect me to Moussa's voicemail only to end up back with the operator, I asked for his direct line. That's when I was told that the reason I kept being returned to the opperator was because his voicemail was full, and they would leave a note on his desk to call me back. That doesn't sound very promising to me. So in total, I have spent 40 minutes on the phone with the hotel and nobody can find any record of the charge to my credit card, and I have no resolution in site.

I am usually a laid back traveler, but $380 mystery charges are enough to scare me away for life.

Slightly shabby and worn rooms.  Internet is almost as bad as dial-up.  Service is marginal at best.  Dropped off laundry this morning. Not in my room when I returned. Called the front desk. "I have a line of people in front of me." Got disconnected. Got dressed, went down stairs, no line, no people. "I need to pick up my laundry." They hand me a single shirt. "Where's the rest of it?" They finally get the rest of it. By now they have turned me from a neutral customer to a net detractor. I cancelled my next stay and rebooked at the Westin Atlanta Perimeter North. Let's see if they can do better.

We frequently stay at Hilton properties, and this one in Atlanta tops the list for the area in terms of value, amenities, and customer service.  On location, it is conveniently located (minutes from 285), easy access to MARTA (terrific for any event you may be attending downtown and don't want to battle the traffic and $$$$ for parking downtown), LOTS of shopping and restaurants nearby (Perimeter Mall and many nearby restaurants with a great choice of cuisine and price points).  The hotel itself is managed extremely well - all the staff are responsive, friendly, helpful and professional (from front desk, housekeeping, dining room, maintenance, etc.). If you are a gold member with Hilton Honors, breakfast is included with your room rate, and the buffet breakfast is excellent - great presentation, well organized, clean and tidy.  The restaurant staff are fabulous. Even if you aren't a gold member, it's worth it for the breakfast - excellent choices and well prepared food. There is a regular shuttle service to the MARTA station and Perimeter Mall (so convenient!), and within walking distance (not even a block away) there is a Publix grocery store, Einstein's, Pharmacy - and several other handy stores.  It's also in a very pedestrian friendly area with plenty of sidewalks around so if you want to get some fresh air and exercise, it's safe to do so.  While we were there, and at mid-afternoon on Sunday, there were fresh baked cookies at the front desk.  SO yummy after a brisk afternoon walk.  This is not one of those huge Hilton luxury properties - it's smaller, more intimate, very nicely decorated, and lots of free parking. The rooms are spacious and well designed. We will definitely be returning when we are next in Atlanta.  A wonderful property - great customer service.

Ordered the room off trip advisor it caught my eye because it had a jacuzzi tub. The front desk staff was rude or not really friendly. The room was clean but the bathtub was falling apart where you could see the pipes inside & the lovely house keeper covered it with the foot towel how cute. The sofa or futon whatever was weird the bed was hard pillows were okay... The breakfast wasnt worth 18$ but it was fine, the spanish chick , waiter was the only nice person in the hotel she was very nice to me! The room is very spacious in a good area plenty of restaurants , shopping mall & plenty of other stores. And its Close to the expressway..

I recently stayed at this hotel for 4 nights during a business trip. This is the worst Hilton I've ever stayed at.

First, my room was clearly not well cleaned. The bath tub had hair in it, trash can had a pill in it, shower had a spider, and I found a gum wrapper on the floor. The drawers in the dresser were gross so I didn't use them. My non-smoking room also smelled like smoke.

Second, one of the reasons I chose this hotel over some of the others was because it has a full service restaurant. Big disappointment. On my first day they closed their lunch service 2 hours early. The next 3 days I had breakfast there. The buffet was the worst paid breakfast buffet I've ever seen in a hotel. Actually, even some free ones are better than this one. The food was bland and cold. If you order food off the menu instead, it takes 30 minutes to get it.

Last, the staff is unpleasant. They always looked like they were mad, made no effort to be nice, and were hard to find. I asked for the manager one day but was never able to get a hold of her or see her.

The good- large rooms, comfortable beds, good Mexican restaurant across the street.

I travel to Atlanta on business often. I usually stay at the Westin but being full, I opted for the Hilton. When I first checked in, the Staff didn't seem to care that I was there or my membership status (normally Hilton's have a warm welcome). They handed me the key to the room and disappeared to the back office. This pissed me off and I wen't to my room. I decided to take the shuttle and was complaining on the phone how horrible the customer service was. To make a long story short, the shuttle driver told the front desk of my experience he had overheard and when I returned to the Hotel, the front desk addressed me by name, apologized and sent me a goodie basket to my room. I instantly became a happy customer. From then on, great customer service! Just booked the Hilton again for another trip. Let's see how it goes this time.

    Love the hotel.
    Clean and very good value.
I stay here 2 weeks straight. Have no problem with my room.
The only draw back is the customer service, the person who check me in is very friendly but i had to deal with 1 particular older front desk who is rude, just plain rude. This is Hilton for god sake, why they dont have better screening for employee. I m a hilton honors Diamond member, stayed 200+ days out of a year in Hilton properties around the country, just imagine if you are no body, you will be treated like a tax collector.. Unwanted.

Ok stay, I called and asked for the room name before booking and explained the room I was looking for. Booked the room and still got the wrong room, smh. The staff was friendly and helpful, really fun to talk to. They offer a shuttle to the mall and eateries in the area, which is a plus. Toilet was running, maintance came up, it stopped for awhile but started back later. It stopped and started, stopped and started. A restaurant is on site, food ok, but go elsewhere to eat. A Starbucks is also in house. They have an indoor and outdoor pool with an indoor hottub. Also has a gym. Stay was ok, will I stay again maybe

First start with the good....location very convenient to local food and my work. Rooms are big with good TVs and air conditioning. Beds are comfortable.

I have stayed here probably 40 nights this year due to above ( no one has ever said thanks for returning to us). Now have to question going back. This summer on 4 occasions I have had intruders in my room...2 large water roaches and 2 large house centipedes. Killed them all but am not going back. Just too many to think they aren't there all the time.

Hope they can get rid of them for everyone else.

I must say that I was truly disappointed with my stay. I arrived at the hotel around 12:30 local time looking to check in. To my disappointment, my request was denied UNLESS I took the bait for a "pay for play" scenario that was offered. I was informed that it was now a Hilton policy to apply a $50 surcharge for early check-ins. Completely stunned and baffled, I questioned the policy. The GSA gave a poor explanation centered around guest requesting late checkouts and housekeeping turnover times. The GSA further added that many people we requesting early check-ins blah, blah, blah. I questioned this logic by posing the questing: "is there a surcharge for requesting a late checkout?" which coincidentally did not have said surcharge. Moreover, I asked if an early check-in would be possible if a room had been turned over and was available?  The GSA went on about a 3pm guarantee and that I could call back and see if any rooms were available before 3pm. I left the facility and called back 15 til 2pm only to be informed that there were still no rooms available for early check in HOWEVER, if I paid the surcharge I could check in...

What I deduced from the situation was that I was treated as a second tier customer because I booked through a 3rd party site in Priceline. Basically, to deter you from booking through the 3rd party site and to promote the use the official Hilton website, you will incur added fees for 3rd party booking.

On another note, the room had a decent set up and was clean. However, the AC unit did not cool the room evenly. The common/living area maintained the proper cooling temp but the sleeping area was extremely hot.

Additionally, the smell of marijuana permeated through the room as someone was smoking in another room. No fault of the hotel, I suppose, but still negatively impacted my stay.

Finally the $17 buffet breakfast is not a good value. With any buffet, food gets cold as it was not rotated out properly which was the case here. The highlight of the breakfast are the cook-to-order omelettes...

I enjoyed a great three-night stay at the Hilton Perimeter Suites.

I booked a king suite which included a main room with a armoire, Murphy bed, microwave, mini fridge, 1-2 cup coffee maker, pull-out couch, LCD TV & desk.  The bedroom had two nightstands, another LCD TV and a comfy king size bed with 5 pillows.  The bathroom has a big one sink vanity with a closet directly behind you then a huge tub with jets and a separate shower.

The room was a lot bigger than I expected and everything was clean and functional.  Each day the staff cleaned up things nicely.  I noticed the window behind the desk was a sliding glass door with a little balcony.

Great room, I could not ask for anything more. Maybe the couch could be a bit more comfortable, but it was a sleeper couch.

The staff was very friendly, from the counter staff, bartender and restaurant waiters.  The restaurant waiters were great and accommodating when I asked for a to-go soda.

The food was also great.  I received free breakfast buffet coupons through a corporate rate, but the prices seemed a bit high.  The quality was good though. I enjoyed delicious scrambled eggs, fresh fruit (pineapple, strawberries, melon, etc), bacon, sausage and muffins. They also had pancakes, oatmeal, biscuits and gravy, oatmeal, grits and an omelet station.

One day they had warm, huge cookies at the front desk. Here I enjoyed the largest and probably the best peanut butter cookie I have ever had.

They also offer a shuttle to places in a few mile radius, but there are plenty of places within walking distance including the Perimeter Mall.

    Great place!
