Very nice hotel! Very comfortable beds and pillows! very modern and up to date. Wish they had a continental breakfast offer. The only thing stopping me from 5 stars is that in the morning after seeing a concert the sun came up and there was no way to block it out!!!! This can be very annoying after a long night... Other than that very nice place to stay for the money!

Brand new hotel conveniently located in Midtown Atlanta.   Valet-only parking is $22 per day.   Rooms are standard HGI accommodations.   Front desk staff is super helpful.   Will definitely return.

What a memorable Grand Opening!  An ideal location in the heart of Midtown.  Elegantly decorated rooms, great features.  I'm gonna direct all my guests to this location.  If you're looking for me on the weekends, you know where I'll be there..lounging in the lobby. (smile)

Nicest staff you will ever encounter in a business setting.  Rooms were spacious and clean.  No complaints at all.

Great location near GA Tech.  Stay here 3 times now in past 2 months; first was for the Taste of ATL- just 2 blocks away.  Publix market a block away too.  Staff always friendly! Has breakfast on Sunday morning- omelet was very good.

So, I was not thrilled to discover that, apparently, my travel planner doesn't understand that when I say I never want to stay at this location again, I meant BOTH the Homewood Suites (where I'd stayed previously for a week) and the (completely attached) Hilton side of the high rise.

That said, once milk was spilt, I showed up with an open mind, hoping for the best.  The valets were, sweet and conniving, per expected.  They were efficient and helpful, when they were available at the valet stand.

One new thing that I will note: this is not a convenient area (immediately outside the hotel, or even within a block on any side) to catch a cab to downtown.  And if you go through the valets, you're going to wind up with a livery service and driver (even when you specifically ask for a cab), with the valet getting a (sizeable, given what I was charged compared with separately scheduled livery and actual taxis) kickback (EVEN WHEN IT TAKES A YEAR + AN HOUR TO ARRIVE!).  Sorry for getting all shouty there, but these folks nearly derailed an important business meeting because of their fra-fra.  It shouldn't take an hour and thirty minutes to get a cab (ten minutes of it drive-time) to go 1.5 miles.  It wasn't even rush-hour.  If I wasn't wearing four inch heels and dealing with Atlanta-in-September weather, I could have walked it, far, far faster.

Anyway.  The place is new and in good repair.  I would disagree with the word "elegant," as the trappings are corporate designated and not remotely exceptional, though certainly (again) they are relatively new.

Staff on the Hilton side seem less pretentious and judgy than the Homewood Suites side of the building (which I avoided, given my experience with their desk staff see Homewood review).  They have the same wobbly front door handles (Jebus...who on Earth designed these things?  They're awful!), unfortunately.

I never woke up in time for member-breakfast, so can't speak to their food.

Staff seemed less incompetent than their Homewood counterparts, but, then, it's been two months since their review.

Didn't have time to swim / workout on this visit, so I've no idea whether they've sorted out their pool problems or not.

Just for consistency: valet only onsite, 22$ per day, plus tips per entry / departure.

Some negatives, but overall, a decent midtown hotel.  Negatives first.  Rooms are small, no self-parking, valet parking only at $28 per day, breakfast costs $13 plus tip and is average, free WiFi is very slow.  Positives include two blocks from MARTA station, low noise level in rooms, HVAC is quiet and works great, free computer room and printers, entire property is very clean and maintained, beds were fantastic, roomy shower with glass door, very courteous staff, very close to Georgia Tech.  I would stay here again.

I was in town for a wedding and of course reserved a room at my favorite hotel chain - Hilton.  True to form, my stay here did not disappoint.

This particular hotel was a little different in that it was a Homewood Suites and a Hilton Garden Inn conjoined.

The staff was great and the rooms were extremely comfortable.  For me, it was a great location where I could easily get on and off of the highways.

The valet parking is expensive at $22/day is the only downside.

I'll definitely stay here again if I need to when I return to Atlanta.

I spent the past two nights at the Hilton Garden Inn Hotel in Midtown Atlanta.  The hotel is fairly new and is very conveniently located to the central business district (CBD), Georgia Tech, and Atlantic Station.  The interior of the rooms are nice and the desk staff is friendly and helpful.  Be sure to request an upper room or a room opposite the freeway to help eliminate noise.

This combines two hotels - the Hilton Garden and the Homewood Suites, which is also (obviously) a Hilton property. They have a comfortable lobby and a happy hour. The hotel is not easy to get into and out of via car, only because it is located on 10th St right at the downtown connector - if you turn onto 10th St from the connector, you can't turn into the hotel easily. Best to take the 17th St exit and then head west on 1oth.

Super friendly staff in a nice business traveler hotel.  The bar and seating area has good food.  The parking is pretty much valet and the guys are very helpful.  The rooms are decent and the beds very comfortable.  It does sit up against the interstate on one side, but they have double paned glass or something similar because noise levels are not loud.  Large pool.  It was being worked on when I was there after the winter storms, but they said it would be open again next week.  The only downside is that they could use another elevator for their 12 floor hotel, but the wait was not too long.  This location in midtown is good and I will be back.

The hotel is surprisingly fantastic.  The experience starts with the beautiful lobby and the super friendly service. The room was fantastic. Clean to the point of spotless. I'll be staying here again the next time I'm in Atlanta.

The Good: I was in Atlanta visiting my sister and this hotel seemed like the best deal. I'm no world travel or hotel connoisseur, but this hotel is great. I am always pleased when the hotel actually resembles the pictures from their website. The hotel was beautiful and modern, and conveniently located in Midtown Atlanta. The Coca-Cola museum, Atlanta Aquarium, Atlantic Station, and  Centennial Olympic Park were less than a 5 minute drive from the hotel. If it wasn't for pure laziness, I would've walked to these tourist attractions. Georgia Tech's campus and the Turner-CNN building are directly across the street, and the I-85 highway is right there for easy access to I-75, I-20, and 285. The room came equipped with a microwave and refrigerator, and the WiFi is free access.

The (not-so) Bad: Parking is Midtown is virtually non-existent. There are no options for getting around the $22/day valet. I tried parking a few blocks away, but everything is metered from 7am to 10pm everyday except Sundays and holidays. Although the valet is somewhat pricy (for me, at least), the hotel allows guests to go in and out, without having to pay separate charges for each time you re-enter the valet section. Finally, the Atlanta traffic. If you have never been to Atlanta, be prepared for rush hour traffic on I-85 and all surrounding city streets during rush hour. Rush hour-type traffic is on I-85 during rush hour, after rush hour, Saturday nights, Saturday mornings, and Sunday afternoons. Basically, BE PREPARED FOR RIDICULOUS TRAFFIC VOLUME AT RIDICULOUS TIMES OF THE DAY.I

With all that said, I would definitely stay at this hotel next time I'm in Atlanta or at another Hilton Garden Inn in another section of Atlanta.

So as HGI goes I prefer Hilton or Double Tree-  I honestly don't like staying at the downtown properties as there really isn't much to do at night.  I tried midtown and also not impressed with the area but it has a bit better scene...

That said this HGI is brand new and very comfortable- price is very competitive and close to GT.  Staff was very professional and thanks to the valets- very much a great group of gentlemen!

Another great stay! The only reason I don't give 5 stars is the fact that they don't have a breakfast room service and limited dinner room service ... No lunch? Overall love this place !

Not impressed. The property is gorgeous, but the parking is $28 a day, valet only.  Room service is very lacking, not a big selection, and did not get my order correct. I had an experience with the engineering staff because the batteries in my door handle were low/dead so I had to turn the handle slowly in order for it to work. This was not resolved during my stay as promised.  The TV (cable wire) cut in and out both picture and sound, and the internet was incredibly slow.  I did a download test and it came in at 0.66mbps. I had faster internet in India

The Kannegiesser team recently stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn and Homewood Suites in Midtown Atlanta, GA. The entire staff at HGI and HWS was amazing! Over a three week period, we had colleagues from all over the world stay for anywhere from one week to all three. A special thanks to the HGI side guest service agents - Jessica, Rodney, Roderick, Keshia, Shermeika; Front Office Manager - Shatavia Robinson; and Assistant General Manager - Amber Johnson. From the HWS side, thank you to Guest Service Agents - Raysa, Leora, Cholie; and Front Office Manager - Robert

For a week we had two days of meetings in the banquet rooms and then breakfast was served every morning. Thank you to Banquet Manager - Noemi Guterriez; Banquet Captain - Max; and the Banquet staff - Yolanda, Carmelo, Magdalena, Connie, Hector. Each of you made us feel very comfortable and were so accommodating throughout the meetings. I can't thank you enough!

The food was amazing as well! I hadn't expected to find such quality in a hotel restaurant. You are second to none! Thank you to Chef Steve Masters; Kitchen staff - Pam, Ivette, Tillman, Manny; and all the Servers - Sharon, Germaine, Joseph, Shona, Joanne.

After many long days of meetings and a trade show, it was easy to relax at the hotel bar. Thank you to Dante and Jonelle for helping us kick back!

And last but not least, thank you to our main contact Jonathan Johnson. He was on the ball helping us with anything and everything we needed.

I highly recommend HGI and HWS in Midtown Atlanta for any company event!

Great hotel for a great price; this hotel is a great value. The hotel is very clean, the staff are nice, & the business office is well designed; I finished a report & printed it while staying here!

I only have one complaint: the valet was pricey $28 a day. It is worth noting this is a fair price in comparison to other hotels in the same market-- definitely shocking if you aren't a city slicker. It is also worth noting that breakfast is $11.95 which may be a con to some, as for me, well worth it!

    -Friendly staff
    -Clean hotel
-Competitive rate (we paid 117$, taxes and all)
    -Great business office
    -Wifi is free

    -Valet was pricey
    -Breakfast is not included

OK, I'm a bit late writing this review.  My bad, my bad....

So last January (don't judge my lateness with this review) I visited the HGI Atlanta for one night, and I have to say that my stay was pretty nearly flawless.  Let's start with the fact that upon check-in, the staff couldn't have been nicer, from the valet driver that let me park my car for 10 minutes for no charge (more on this in a minute) to the friendly and helpful front desk staff, I felt very welcome.

The room (on the 7th floor) gave a nice view of the surrounding area, and was very clean and comfortable.  The AC worked (thanks goodness), the water pressure was constant and the temperature was constant (good for a nice cool shower) and housekeeping was on point.

The only issue I had was - remember that valet that allowed me to park for 10 minutes at no charge?  Well they ended up charging me....the full $28.00!  Needless to say after speaking with the front desk staff, and convincing them that I didn't park a vehicle there overnight, they removed the charge.

Will I stay here again?  Yes!

I travel a lot and stay almost exclusively in Marriott or Hilton properties. I have to say that this particular location has dropped the ball. Guest services is difficult to get ahold of if you're not standing in front of them. I had a concern regarding my HHonors account that was not addressed nor followed up on. The fitness center equipment is broken or not functioning properly. The TV doesn't work properly. And on and on and on.

I will not be staying here again. Ever.

Was looking for a nice hotel in a nice location for a weekend getaway and came across this bad boy on Yelp and decided to try it out. Location is very nice and offers great access to the highway if you are in town for events of any kind and need to get there in a reasonable amount of time. The hotel is also good distance from a lot of touristy places to go and explore. The hotel staff is very friendly and attentive, the lobby is very spacious and beautiful and often used for events sometimes (like tonight, there is a graduation dinner). Room is very clean and spacious, bathroom clean and offers great amenities and products to enhance your stay.

Fitness center is very nice and all equipment is well kept. Pool is well kept as well and offers fun getaway inside the hotel. Also a good number of restaurants around the area deliver to the hotel and the front desk will call your room and ask if you would like them bring it up to you or if you want to come get it.

Only two things that are complaints are the parking issue and breakfast issue. With parking, there is no self-parking and the valet is $28/day. It is less then the valet at some other hotels but just having self-parking not being an option is kind of a downer. The other complaint is there isn't complimentary breakfast and if you want breakfast it is $11.95/adult and $5.95/child under the age of 12.

Other than these two things this hotel is fabulous and a wonderful place to stay!
