You could I am fan of this hotel. I travel to ATL almost every week for work and stay here exclusively.

All rooms are suites, front desk staff are nice, close to perimeter mall / restaurants.

I am a Hilton person (diamond) and it is close to my work location. That is why I started staying here, the hotel and staff is why I continue to stay.

convenient, kind staff and great breakfast.  oh, and the trademark hilton beds, as always, rock and will put you to sleep like a baby.

Good hotel. Spend probably 25 nights a year here. Get the same room and same good service every time. Needs a better workout room. Parking lot is a pain too. Other than that, staff is good and friendly. Easy location also to get east, west or north in town. South of course is always tough when you are on the northside in Atlanta.

If you are in need of a quiet room...DO NOT book here! I don't like to stay at Hilton hotels because of the poor quality but it was a last minute thing and I booked blindly through hotwire. Big mistake. First, the staff was very friendly for the most part but that's about it. I was dropped off at the mall by the shuttle but when I called to be picked up, no one answered! I called the hotel and number of 5 times and let the phone right over 10 time per call before someone picked up.

That night around 9pm, I started to hear voices over my tv. I thought the noise was coming from the hall again because I could hear EVERYTHING people were saying all night. This time it was coming from the room next to me. I decided to turn my tv up to drown out the noise. Even then I could still hear their tv, all their conversation, all the laughter...its was awful. I called down to be changed to another room. The clerk was very nice and changed my room from the 7th to the 2nd floor. It was quiet at first, but around midnight...I feel asleep with my tv and was abruptly awakened by the sound of someone flushing a toilet. It sounded like it was coming from the room next door and it was LOUD! I could here the water rushing through the pipes and the pipes moaning and groaning...and this was EVERY TIME they flushed! I could even here their tv..CLEARLY! I don't think it was a case of noisy neighbors...there is NO sound proofing in this cheap hotel!

The night before I left, I asked if I could check out at 1:30. The lady agreed and said it was ok. The next afternoon, I called down to see if I could get that time extended even further because I didn't have to be at work until 3 and didn't want to be sitting there all that time. Some guy answered and rudely told me that I needed to be out of the room at 12 and that I was already an hour late checking out. I didn't even have the energy to argue with him. I hung up, quickly got dressed and that was that.

Don't waste your money staying here! There are much nicer hotels in the area and better quality!

I've stayed at this hotel for its convenience to my company's regional office. The first stay wasn't great so I shouldn't have expected much better this time.  During the first stay in June, the air didn't work in my room. I told the front desk clerk and, someone was sent to fix it. When I returned to my room that evening, it was extremely cold so I turned it up just a couple of degrees. Big mistake!  Should have left it alone because it was hit the remainder of the night. I completely under controlling costs, but the was no AC in the hallways. It's summer in Georgia, really?!  During the stay this week, the bathroom was awful. I had to put down a towel in the tub to take a shower, and the tub was too small for my butt. Mind you, I have a pretty small but for a woman of color so that should tell you something.  Plus my colleague traveling with me, had stained sheets in his bed and hair in his towels.  I won't stay here again.

This is in an ideal location near Perimeter mall, even though I didn't make it there during my stay.  Also, being located right off the highway makes it easier for one to commute to wherever he/she is going.

The staff was oh so friendly.  Once we were checked in, they called about fifteen minutes later to see if we were comfortable and settled in alright.

The bathroom was beautiful.  Our water was standing in the shower and we told them and it was fixed within five minutes.  These people really cater to the guest's needs and make you feel welcome.

The flat screen tv was nice, along with the view.  Very nice setup and ambiance and I would recommend this to anyone!

The breakfast was the typical.  It was good enough to eat, but I've had better and would have preferred a variety in the choices each day.

A lot of people complain about the walk up the little hill for parking, but it's good exercise, right?  I have a handicap sticker so we parked right by the doors and happily avoided the hill.

My only problem was housekeeping slamming doors so I was woken up on the last two days when I was trying to sleep in.

Oh and they have a computer on the main floor for people to print boarding passes!  Very nice!

Overall, great place.  Amazingly friendly staff.

First room reeked of smoke. Second room better, but super noisy. windows and door to hallway poorly soundproofed - can hear every car, hallway conversation, neighbor activity - had to use two of the three towels to stuff under the door just to help muffle the hallway noise. Bed like a rock. I'll be checking out tomorrow and doubt ill ever return. But it can't be all bad right? Free wifi and good location - That. Is. All.

HGI is one great hotel. The location is convienient to the Perimeter Mall area and to Marta. This is a comfortable property set in a quiet location even though it is near the Freeway. The staff was friendly and helpful. Me room was beautifully furnished with a comfy mattress, nice pillows, new flat screen TV, the in-room coffee maker even had real coffee cups (now the little styrofoam things).
If I were going to nit-pick some negatives I would say that having to hike up a hill for parking is not the best, for my room the keys were somewhat difficult (every time I went into my room I had to try the keys several times to get them to open the door, this was even after having them replaced) and the restaurant is no more than hotel average.
But, I would highly recommend HGI and look forward to staying here again.

DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!

I stayed at this hotel for 2 reasons, 1.) I'm a Hilton Honors member and 2.) my brother was getting married at a nearby venue, Villa Christina, and this was one of the hotels for the bridal party and guests.

We arrived late on a Thursday evening and were put in a room at the very end of the hall across from the ice and soda machines.  The hallways were very hot, as was the elevator.  You could tell it was hot because people were on there sweating, not a good sign.

All night I was awakened by the sounds of the ice machine clanging, but we were exhausted so I was able to tune it out the first night.  The second night, same thing.  I got up around 2AM and went across the hall to the room where the machines were housed and closed the door.

I called down to the front desk to report the issue but instead of the front desk clerk acknowledging my issue, he just said, "Oh the maintenance people are gone."   Really?  He could've at least had the decency to come upstairs unplug it and put a note up saying it was broken.  I told him I didn't like his response and asked if we could move rooms in the morning (the morning of my brother's wedding).

After calling several times, and being given an excuse about the hotel being booked, they finally let us move to a room on the first floor.  I hate being on the first floor but I just wanted a decent night of sleep after the wedding festivities.  Nope, didn't happen here either.

First issue, it was in the mid-90s outside but for some reason the A/C wouldn't come on unless the thermostat was set below 64 so we were always freezing.

Second issue.  The last night of our 4 night stay, the person in the room next door had their TV on full blast all night.  Around 3AM, when I decided I couldn't take it anymore, I called the front desk.  Waited 15 minutes and still nothing.  I called again at 3:15AM, with a more stern tone and someone from Security finally came but the people never opened the door nor turned down the volume.  That was pointless.

Overall if I had to rate my experience at this hotel, I'd rate it a 2 out of 10.  The 2 would only be for convenience to the wedding location and for access to nearby highways 285 and 400.  Also, there was free in-room Wi-Fi.

Needless to say, I doubt I will EVER stay at another Hilton Garden Inn again.

Came here for a work conference. Excellent service!

The food was bland as most hotels are but they offer a free shuttle service within a 3 mile radius.

It has been a while since I stayed at a chain hotel. I was in Atlanta with my sister for a wedding dress shopping trip and she picked this hotel because of location to the dress shop- Bridals by Lori. The hotel provided a shuttle to and from.

One of the best parts about this hotel is the water with lemon in the lobby. So refreshing after traveling. The staff here were also super friendly and helpful. The decor was a bit chain like which was to be as expected. The rooms were clean and comfy.

Overall, a good affordable hotel option.

Please don't bring your family here.  It is clearly designed for one night business travel.  The towels are hard and the bed I'd lumpy and the toilets are old.

Stayed here in august while i was attending pastry live just across the street - nice comfortable hotel, really convenient store at the front desk with toiletries, snacks, etc. Staff was super friendly, bar was nice, gym was free and clean, good equipment. Bed was super comfortable, rooms felt new, everything was very clean. Will stay any time i'm in north atlanta.

This is a review from Jan.

My room was nice and cozy. The problem that I had with the hotel is that there's carpet in the elevators and it smelled like wet dog every time you go in there. They really need to upgrade the elevators with tile so that when it rains it doesn't smell like wet dog. They tried to cover up the smell would really strong carpet freshener and it made it worse.

I notice my room also had some weird freshener smell I first I thought it was really strong cologne but then I realized it was the hotel

Wonderful hotel!  The service was A-1.  Naomi was very friendly and accommodating. Room was clean and the indoor pool area was nice. The gym is quite small but it had everything that I needed.  The location is great, it's very close by the mall but not too close. The only downside is that the parking isn't convenient. It's up a steep hill. But it wasn't so bad, burned a few extra calories. :)

I like this hotel.  Its probably a 3.5 star, but I'm rounding down for the reasons below.

First, the pros - The staff is consistently friendly.  I've stayed here a number of times and I've never had an issue with any staff member.  They have accommodated every request we've made.  The rooms are spacious with Kerug (or however you spell that) coffee makers and also fridges.  Windows open for fresh air.  Pillows are very comfortable.  Shower is hot and has good pressure.  They have a breakfast - and I assume lunch/dinner too.  It isn't free, and I've never eaten it, but the breakfast looks very good.  I've never used any of the hotel amenities except the business center, and the computers are a bit slow, but its a Hilton Garden Inn - you can't expect top of the line when business travelers and teenagers are probably watching porn on them.  Also, the location is superb.  Just at the top of the perimeter, near Perimeter mall, with easy access to Dunwoody, Buckhead, midtown, 400, 75, 85, 285 (those are highways, I am not just shouting numbers).

The cons - This particular trip, one elevator wasn't working, so it took forever.  I'm not against stairs, but they don't work when you have lots of bags or have been running/hiking.  However, my biggest beef with this hotel, and the reason I round down, is parking.  Their parking lot is up on a hill next to the hotel  It's well enough lit, but its a hike just to get to and from your car, and ladies (or some men, I suppose), if you're wearing heels, good luck.  Finally, I am not a fan of their mattresses.  The firmness can apparently be adjusted, but I don't notice a tremendous difference and many times, they seem to be stuck in rock hard firmness, which is good for some things (am I right ladies...and some men?) but not in mattresses.  Sorry about that; couldn't resist.

All in all, a fine place to stay.  One of the more reasonably priced (we usually nab it with a low bid on priceline) and comfortable hotels.

I stayed at this hotel for a business conference and chose it based on being a Hilton rewards member. The staff was very friendly. However, my room towels were dirty and had some dried clay on it. The room was loud and you could hear everyone outside. Every time I called for a shuttle, I had to call a few times because no one would answer the phone. My receipt was wrong and has taken a few days to fix.

Be careful staying here! Very costly Reoccurring car break ins happening here! My car was broken into overnight in the hotel parking lot that the staff direct you to park in. My window was shattered and another was damaged, dents in my doors and interior damage from glass and rain. I ended up with over $3000 damage to my car and many items stolen that were not visible from outside the car. I later found out that 4 other cars were also broken into that same night. The 1st was reported at 8am and  the hotel claims they have security in the parking lot but no one spotted my car with a blown out window until I found it with the window shattered at approximately 11:15, many hours later. We were staying here for my sons wrestling tournament and I almost didn't make it to see him wrestle because of this. After calling the police, I find out that this is almost a daily occurrence here. Hilton says they are not liable and that I just need to turn it into your insurance. That's what everyone else does. Not only has this been a big expense but an even bigger inconvenience. We were 7 hours away from home and it was the weekend, no one could fix the car.  So we had to cut the glass out ourselves and  tape the window so we could drive 7 hours home, vacuumed the car several times to try to get glass out, with no success. Because of this I have to pay $1000 deductible, pay for a rental car for 2 weeks now while my car is getting fixed(which will never be the same again) slivers and fibers of glass throughout my car, in the leather seats and even air vents. To top that off,  I find out that the stolen items are not coved with a  car insurance policy. I have to file a separate claim on my home owners insurance for the items that were stolen.  Again, hilton says they are not liable for any of this that happened on their property, where I was directed to park, while I paid to sleep over night in their hotel.

As many other reviews stated this hotel is super noisy! It's also very unsafe to have you park up a hill away from the hotel and offer no security. As a businesswoman traveling by myself and arriving late, I was super put off about that.

The front desk manager paid no attention to who was in line when and just assisted who ever approached the counter first. When it was finally my turn she snatched my license from me and scratched me with her nail. I was ready to smack her. If it wasn't 10:45 at night I would've walked right back out.

Seriously avoid this hotel, it's not worth the aggravation.

Clean hotel, with good access to the perimeter, and Marta stations.
Dinner is just so so at the restaurant, but the service is good. Typically a crowd in the bar at night.
Cost wise there are other options, but few so close to both Perimeter Mall and the Medical Center. Avoid the Starbucks down the street in the morning, the line is deceptively long, approximately 45 minutes.

The very definition of "meh." For a Hilton, this is below par from my experience. The room was fine but felt like a time warp back to the 90s. Staff was... interesting. I won't say rude because they weren't, but you could tell they weren't used to the kind of service you get in better hotels. Overexplained everything as if I'd never been in a hotel before. No late night room service (not even sure if there WAS room service at all). The breakfast was pretty awful, and about $19. Internet was slow and they charged for it. No coffee out after breakfast was done, just stale cookies and gnarly looking lemon infused water. I stayed there and several members of my group met me in the lobby to plan out the meetings we had that day, but we could barely think straight because of the crappy lite jazz blasting across the space. Really did feel like a total throwback to another, sadder era in hotels.

The staff here is fantastic. Herald, who hosts the breakfasts is especially impressive - greets and serves you and makes your feel welcome as if you were visiting his home and he is proud to have you have a guest. Further more, the woman at the front desk is kind and helpful. Great hotel. I will be back.

This hotel was a great place to stay in terms of accommodations, but our efforts to have a great romantic weekend were trashed because we could not find one moment of quiet time to soak in the freaking hot tub (which is a HUGE deal to us and the ONLY reason we chose this Hilton properties over several others in the Atlanta area). There are few pleasures for those of us who must travel frequently, and hot tubs are one for me. TOTAL FAIL this time around (and we paid a premium for a suite). BUMMED!

In the last 5 weeks I have stayed at 5 different Hilton brand hotels in the Atlanta area (due to the locations being booked.) I didn't think my ending results would rate this the heighest. The hotel itself is nice and clean, the staff even nicer. I had a few dirty breakfast dishes so I had to over look that. The gym is rough, small with broken tredmills when I stayed. The parking lot was the #1 reason I decided to look at another hotel. It's up a huge hill to the side oh the hotel. I consider myself fit and this was a hike up and down, especially with luggage and a computer bag.

I am staying here next week, looking foward to it after some of the last hotels I have been in here in ATL.

Stayed here for a week. Room was nice. Had a pool and gym. Shutle service was excellant. took us everywhere we wanted to go. Staff catered to our every need. Loved the little restuarant area eatery. Tamika was on point. wouldnt definitely come back and stay here again. Wifi service is only available to occupants of the hotel. Only thing I hated was the fact that I had to walk up that steep hill to my car

I have never stayed at a Hilton Garden Inn and I was quite pleased. The staff was friendly and the rooms nice. The room had a Keurig for coffee which was very tasty (although they still only had saccharin as the sweetener instead of some of the newer tasty ones). The toiletries were Neutrogena so that was nice. The bed very comfortable. The rooms have refrigerators and microwaves.  The hotel is in Perimeter center so it is very pretty. The parking is located up a hill and a distance away which is a downside, but probably the only way they could squeeze in parking for the hotel. It has a small bar and kitchen area. I was disappointed that a continental breakfast wasn't free of charge, but the breakfast did look good. I would definitely return.

More details from 3/13 review:
We are Hilton Honors members and are usually big fans of HGI.  On this occasion, we made the reservations at full price because we wanted the location as we are visiting dear friends in the area.  Having a good time with our friends, we did not arrive until after midnight but the room was already reserved and paid for, so we were given the keys and went upstairs.  Neither key would work, so when my wife arrived after parking the car 1/2 mile away in a parking lot up a hill and around the corner (seriously, the only parking for the hotel is no where near the building, as well as access to the hotel from the interstate is very confusing,) she tried both keys and no luck either.  So she went to the elevator lobby and called, and a very nice young man came up, explaining that he is normally in housekeeping but they were short that night so he had been called in to help.  He tried the keys and no luck, so then he got out his pass key and opened the door and turned on the foyer light.  There were people in the beds who shouted out "Who is it?" and the resourceful young man shouted back "housekeeping" and closed the door!  We went back downstairs after this horrifying incident and were given keys to another room several floors up, asking if we could be upgraded to something nicer after this experience.  She assured me she had done that.  The young man followed us up and helped with out luggage, and when we walked in this room was a conference room with a huge table and chairs inside it, and the bathroom was on one side of the suite and a very small bedroom with a full-sized bed in it on the other side.  We called immediately and said this was unacceptable to us and the young man went down and moved us to a better room down the hall.  e were finally settled in an acceptable room after 1 a.m., tired and confused.

There are two reasons why we get hotel rooms on weekends in Atlanta:  to get some rest and respite from the 32 teenage boys we take care of 24/7 for nine months a year in a dorm at a school where we work (with no doorbell ringing constantly,) and I like to get up early and go and sit in the indoor pool and read for a few quiet hours while my wife is catching up on her sleep.  So the next morning I got up and had  breakfast (expensive buffet and most of it was cold, even those items that were supposed to be fresh cooked and hot,) and then headed to the pool.  I got settled into my corner where I could read, and had not been there for one minute before a technician came to me and told me that everyone had to vacate the pool for cleaning.  From the parking to the expensive room mix-up to the lousy breakfast to the no pool, this is our last visit to this location.  Mr. Kosor, get your act together as this report is also going to Hilton management.  I hope you lose your franchise.

The hotel in itself is very nice, both in decor and accomodations. Additionally, it is located in a desirable area (at least to my standards) as there are many places to dine and establishments to shop. The hotel room was very cozy.

However, as I've said before, I am keen on customer service. Check-in was a breeze but I noticed some discrepencies in service that had me raising a brow. Another petpeeve of mine is when I give someone a card or cash in their hand and they place the money/card on the counter... grinds my gears everytime. Especially when I have my hand out in a position to receive the item and Sam, who was assisting me at the moment looked me in my face, at my hand and chose to disregard it, place the change from my purchase on the counter and slide it toward me. Let's just say that he is lucky that I was feeling under the weather because if not, I would have made a gargantuan deal out of it. Trust me. When I spend my hard earned money, I expect to be treated with respect and fairly. If not, whomever is in charge is bound to hear from me.

There were some hiccups along the way, but I felt the staff did a great job at handling the situations to make it better. One particular person was Carl. I believe he was a general manager, I am unsure. However, he was very professional and took care of our issues and left us at ease. I believe more in Hilton more now than ever before. I will continue to stick with this brand because of people like this who make it better.  The only thing I would recommend is the air conditioning in the hotel. It was hot inside. Strange.
