Really nice hotel and absolutely fantastic people.  Just wish Mr. Hilton had set them up for success by providing the resources and training needed.  The hotel, food, and accommodations are fantastic because of the people and not the corporation.  Lots of fun (insert Busta Rhymes mix here)!

Great hotel, nice rooms and comfortable bed, the only thing that ruins it all is the staff and service.. It seems the staff make up what thy want and when it suits them... I was declined room service because they were offering breakfast downstairs.. I was put on hold 3 times for over 10 mins each time.. I timed this to let them know... Just ignorance... Not happy or impressed at all..

Stranded in Atlanta due to Delta plane problems when they offered to put us in a hotel for the night to get out in the morning.  Groan.  Airport hotel. Groan.  What a pleasant surprise.  This hotel is 5 minutes from the airport and they have a free airport shuttle starting at 4:30am running every 30 min.  This hotel is new and trendy.  Beautiful wine/whiskey bar and large dining area.  Great menu with something for everyone burgers to entrees. Very comfortable, clean, pretty rooms with Krups coffee/tea maker. Arrived in the dark and left in the dark so I don't know about the neighborhood.  As others have said it is located on the train tracks but I didn't hear anything all night.  Lots of friendly staff, effiecient check in and out.  Will look for the other Indigos when back in Atlanta.  Thanks Indigo for a great night!

The hotel is nice and the food was great. Dinner for 2 however was not worth $7,239. That is what was charged to my credit card. I only found this nasty surprise on my recent CC statement. The general manager Rebekka is impossible to reach. I was promised a refund, which I still have not received. I just called and was put on permanent hold, as they have caller ID so I'm guessing they don't want to talk to me about all this. It's a total mess and they have not done their job and fixed it. So disappointing. There is another review on tripadvisor.com stating that you should watch your CC charges at this hotel. I am not alone and that is a scarey thought.

I really like the Hotel Indigo hotels. They offer a more modern or hipper decor than your regular hotel. At the Atlanta Airport location the staff were very friendly and helpful and offered really nice and clean rooms. The hotel is located in downtown College Park and is about 15 minutes from downtown Atlanta.

    Two gripes:

    1) The restaurant is a bit pricey compared to the other restaurants nearby. I only had breakfast one morning there (oatmeal). It was fine but it was oatmeal.

    2) The hotel is literally a block from an train rail intersection and every time a train nears the intersection they blast their horn and it is mind jarringly loud. I stayed at the hotel for a week and the first time I heard the train was in the early evening. I didn't mind so much but the next time I heard the train was around 4:00am, I was nearly on the floor until I realized what was going on. Midweek in I grew accustomed to it so it didn't bother me as much but if you are only staying one night then be prepared. I noticed it happens at least three times during the evening and night.

Overall a nice hotel, nice rooms, and a really good staff.

I stay in the Hyatt Place frequently and Hotel Indigo has the same boutique vibe.  Chic and trendy without the Ikea vibe of aLoft it would be a perfect weekend location with the "boo" or girls weekend.  We stayed here without planning (and free) after Delta screwed us during a business trip and  I was impressed with the look and feel.  Don't get excited about the bar and restaurant inside because the hours aren't reliable and it may not be open.  Otherwise its worth visiting during a planned vacay(minus the persnickety woman that checked us in, the guy was nicer and he was at the end of his shift).

This is my first stay at Hotel Ingigo, and it was just OK.  I was coming from the north, so when I got off the freeway, I was glad to see there were a lot of restaurants in the area...but then I find it isn't in that area.  You drive through a residential neighborhood, past a cemetery and right next to the airport runway before getting to this hotel located in what looks like the middle of no where.  There isn't much within walking distance, and the area is quite dark at night.  The hotel itself is nice, but seriously, nothing around it - except for the runway on one side, and railroad tracks on the other.  If you are a light sleeper, this is not the place for you.  There are other IHG properties in College Park that would probably be a little better.

This hotel was great. Our flight was cancelled on our way home and the airline had a deal for us to stay at this hotel. I would have gladly paid full price for our AWESOME room! The staff was extremely kind which was much appreciated after the hectic night at the airport.
We arrived at 11:45pm and were offered room service (even though the restaurant closed in 15 minutes) and the food was to our room quickly- and it was great!
The room was gorgeous and LOVED the tile in the bathroom. The Aveda bath products were a really nice addition. The bed was super comfortable, the TV was large, and the whole room had a modern/trendy feel.
I honestly wish we could have enjoyed the hotel more. The shuttle was on time to the airport the following morning, and all the staff was extremely friendly again the next day.
I'd gladly stay at this hotel again but am not sure when I'll be visiting Atlanta again!

This hotel used to be great. The staff was friendly, the hotel was clean, the restaurant served great food. My last visit was not the same experience. Staff was rude, too busy on their phone to provide service (An example- I called and asked if an in room menu could be brought to my room since the room did not have one, I was told if I wanted a menu I could come down and get one. When I went down to get a menu two front desks employees were typing away on their mobiles too busy to even acknowledge their guests), several room service trays were left in the hall for over 12 hours, and there was no air circulating in the hallways. The rooms are still clean and comfortable... The restaurant has declined significantly. I used to love the food they served, now the menu has only a hand full of item, which are overpriced, under seasoned, dry, and all around unappetizing. The angus burger is a frozen patty warmed up and tossed on a dry hard bun. If you order this burger they will politely ask you how you would like it cooked... I suggest well done because that is the only way to melt all the ice crystals.

bed was mostly comfortable--only problem was I had a hard time getting to sleep because of it's proximity to Hartsfeld and other "city noise."  Literally, the airport is a mile away.  Jets as late as midnight and then starting at 0600.  Then there's the train.  Hotel is around the corner from a Marta stop, which is super convenient, but the train horn--ugh!

Bathroom was _poorly_ lighted.  It was very dim, and I felt unsafe.  It's obvious they hadn't cleaned the grout in the tile floor nor the shower stall itself in quite some time.  Ick!

The shower was one of those huge glassed-in stalls, which was nice.  But the toilet was very low to the floor.  Almost designed for a child.  Not a fan.

Buffet breakfast was pricey, given the somewhat poor quality.

Long story short, if you want a hotel literally around the corner from Hartsfeld, this might be a good choice.  Otherwise, you might want to go elsewhere.

Hotel is beautiful.  Rooms are modern. But the front desk was unprofessional. Not to mention it's not very quiet! Trains every 30minuted through the night, airplanes late and early constantly and the house keeping starts cleaning early.  Which is ok but the way they clean is keeping the lock latch in front of the door so it doesn't close all the way and instead closing the doors you hear the doors slam against the latch every five minutes with cleaning going in and out!

A gem close to the airport!  I was pleasantly surprised after making a very last minute reservation due to inclement weather last week.  Lobby and my room very clean and had an artsy, contemporary feel.   Big rooms and huge shower!  Bed was very very comfortable although the comforter kind of felt like one of those lead blankets they put on you at the dentist for X-rays - pretty heavy!  Temperature in the room easy to control.  Water pressure a little weak.  They don't charge for parking but there isn't much close to the front.  The area is not that great if you are a walker or runner - this is one of the neighborhoods that was bought out by the airport because of the noise years ago.  There are still large numbers of vacant lots.  I did not hear trains or planes but I am guessing it may depend on what end and side of the hotel you are on - especially for the trains. Ask for a room in the northeast end to avoid.  I did not get a chance to visit the restaurant so can't offer an help there.  I would definitely stay there again.

This is a long overdue review. The hubs and I stayed here in November before an early morning flight. We purchased a Half Off Depot coupon (issued for the grand opening), so it was a really good deal. We took MARTA and walked over from the College Park station, which is maybe a 5 minute walk, tops.

The space is very chic & modern. The colors really pop and are not your traditional cream hotel walls. I liked the large shower and bathroom.

We tried out the restaurant, and the food was decent (though nothing to write home about). When we were there, there was only one waitress who looked tired and overworked. Hopefully the hotel's hired more waitresses now to share the load.

Indigo hotels are nice. I'd stay in another one, if it's not too expensive ;)

Awesome place to stay before a flight! Free shuttle available 24 hours. Many airline workers stay here during layovers. This hotel also has large showers, yet no tubs. Also, rooms facing the airport may be a little loud due to flights landing/taking off. Other than that, great hotel.

This hotel has exceeded my expectations. It's swanky and has a modern feel. My room was clean and the bathrooms design was great. The bathroom had a marble vanity, very large walk in glass shower with modern shower fixtures and a large framed mirror. I also loved the fact that the room had a large fullsize mirror, great lighting and flat screen television. This hotel is also stocked with great amenities. If you're familiar w Atlanta and it's not a requirement for you to stay in the heart of it all; This hotel is the perfect place and it's affordable. The staff is also courteous and professional!

This hotel is very conveniently located near the Airport.  Easy to get into and out of this place, compared to other hotels in Atlanta.  Within walking distance are multiple food venues and a little bit of shopping in the village like area of the center of College Park.

Hotel is very new, modern, friendly staff, easy parking.

I agree with most of the posters before that the train is loud HOWEVER the planes that go over the other airport hotels are equally as loud so  relatively speaking, its no less or more loud than the other options near the airport.  If you are looking to stay near the airport, your choices are to be woken up by planes or trains.

    I would recommend this place.

Great hotel. I arrived grumpy grumpy from a delayed flight and am glad I chose to stay here.

This is my second Hotel Indigo for the second night in a row (the other was in Florida), and I'm becoming a fan of the brand. It has a nice modern semi-boutique-y feeling, with updated furniture and art, a duvet with a cool Marimekko-esque print. That said, it is still part of a hotel chain (IHG) and can't totally escape the chain-feel. Then again, a true boutique hotel would not be available near the airport and might cost more.

    +Free fast wi-fi
+Spacious room (though it's on the 2nd floor, facing a parking lot...I did buy the room through hotels.com )
+Airport shuttle that picks up on the :15 and :45 at the airport, and leaves for the airport from the hotel on the :00 and :30.
+Aveda bath products, my favorite. Nothing like feeling the tingle of rosemary mint shampoo after being in a plane all day.
+Nice shower. Who really needs the bathtub anyway.
    +Friendly service.

I'm a bit ambivalent about the room service, however. The restaurant seems to be fairly good and I was relieved that they were still doing room service when I arrived (available through about 10:30-11:00pm). But the menu was a little brief (just a handful of apps, salads, and sandwiches for dinner), when I was so looking forward to a real meal. I got the burger with white cheddar. The meat was well-cooked, very juicy and flavorful. The bun was a bit disappointing; I think it was described as some ciabatta thing but it was kind of a normal supermarket-esque hamburger bun. And I got myself cheesecake as a treat for my long day, and while it was decent (not too dense, which is not a bad thing), it had no graham cracker crust :( they should warn you!!

I really like how modern the hotel is.  The downside - took three rooms and three keys to get one that worked.  Granted it was the late late shift.  The iron also wouldn't heat and the guy who answered the phone never showed up with the promised replacement.  The comforter was pretty heavy, but I liked the layout that felt multi-room and the spacious shower.

The customer service is terrible. They never cleaned our room or refilled our towels, toilet paper, or coffee station. There was a pee stained sheet that was asked to be removed from our room and it took 12 hours to remove it. We asked for a cot and the guy at the front desk seemed very put out and irritated and said he couldn't leave the desk to bring it up to us. There was many people we came in contact with and one or two of them were nice.

Stayed here for a night before an early morning flight. Very nice hotel. It looks modern, clean and spacious. The staff is awesome. They get an A+ for customer service. The room was a nice size, but smelled like body odor by the front door. Luckily, the area by the bed (which was very comfy) smelled fine so I did not request a room change. Bathroom is clean and user friendly. Our room contained only a shower, no tub. I requested a quiet room because some previous reviewers complained about the noise from the train. We we were room 436 which was very quiet. I could faintly hear the train noise, but it was not loud enough to wake us up (and I am a light sleeper) or disturb us in any way. Loved the Aveda products in the bathroom.
I would definitely stay here again.

Airport hotels don't get better than this!

I want to thank all the staff and hotel manager for making us feel at home during our 3 days stuck in Atlanta unable to get a flight home in January 2014.

Everyone helped.  The shuttle was fast.  The front desk guy was very friendly and got us into our room immediately.   The workout room was small but the new equipment worked great.  The restaurant / bar was a nice place to relax.  Warm cider in the lobby.  Hip decor.  Huge clean shower.  Aveda products :)  Aveda makes everything better!

Within a block there are several good restaurants including upscale southern cooking, barbecue, and chinese restaurant and more.  Also, a few blocks away is Bole Ethiopian restaurant... worth the trip.

For an airport hotel this place is wonderful.

I have no idea how this place has the rating it does.  OK so it's relatively new. The noise is unbearable. Airplane noise is non stop, just when that is about to end its train noise! If you have no real choice it will do, otherwise stay somewhere else. This place is right on the departure end of the runway, so full jet blast!  If you happen to luck out and have them take off the other direction count your blessings, then you only have to deal with the trains. I unfortunately wasn't given much choice and had to stay here. Hardly slept at all.  Most miserable week ever!

Negative- Holy crap! The trains run every 30 all night long, blowing their horns. It woke me up All. Night. Long. And I'm not a light sleeper. I got to the hotel after 11pm exhausted from plane delays, fell into bed, and woke up exhausted because I didn't sleep worth crud after all that ruckus.

Positive- This hotel doesn't have that standard feel to it. The room is more artsy and upbeat, very sophisticated and large. The bathroom was huge and so was the shower. I think I could do jumping jacks in there, but I was too tired to try. The bed was big and soft and warm. I wish I could say it helped me sleep but those dang train horns prevented that.
The staff was very friendly and efficient, getting quite a number of people into rooms quickly after we all got stranded by Delta overnight (Boo Delta). No 24-hour room service which was disappointing. I had lunch, got stuck in the airport with 3 delays and hadn't had anything since lunchtime. I was starving and looking forward to ordering some dinner but that stopped at 11pm. Instead I went to bed hungry.
All in all if you end up here just remember to bring ear plugs!

First time guest. Staycation in full effect. The staff was pleasant from the time I walked in and out the lobby (Joshua ) which is beautiful with great modern colors and decor. He's not my friend so I'm honest.

My room was a nice size with a comfy King bed. Plenty of TV channels. Most comfortable mattress ever and a huge heavy comforter that felt like I was at Grandma's house. Little on the hot side so I kicked those off.
They have all Aveda products in the bathroom. Love!! I'm a student at the Aveda Institute Atlanta. Also, a huge shower.  I'm not a tub or bath person and if there's ever a drainage problem you're standing in  water.
People need to really relax with the airplane complaints.  Ummm you're near an airport.

No refrigerator or microwave isn't cool for people who eat nearby and like leftovers. -1 star

There staff accused my husband and I of smoking in their room and charged us $250 without notifying us.  Neither my husband I smoke or have ever had possession of cigarettes.  It was probably their housekeeping staff.  We own a gym and I am a former competitive boxer/kickboxer...smoking disgusts both of us and i am disgusted with the staff at Hotel Indigo.  Make sure you do a walk through with a staff member if you are going to risk staying here...

    I could summer here.
    I really could.

My first time staying at Hotel Indigo, but will certainly not be my last.  This space is not just for existing--it's for the soul.  Like a boutique hotel with an emphasis on art.

    Where should I begin?
    The hardwood floors.
    The room murals.
    The textured shower floors.
Specialty tea and coffee in room
    Great service
Prompt airport shuttle running every 30 minutes.

    Fantastic hotel!

Stayed here in May for a weekend excursion in Atlanta.  Wanted someplace close by to the Airport.  First stay in a Hotel Indigo.  Pros- free parking, WiFi, large comfortable room with a King bed, couch, flat screen TV, work desk, & hotel bar/restaurant.
Cons- No refrigerator or microwave oven and free breakfast.  The room's furnishing was rather mod and added to the atmosphere.  The large walk in shower is excellent!  Heard the often-mentioned train & airplane noises, but they stopped and started at reasonable hours, so they did not interrupt my sleep.  The hotel let me use the staff refrigerator/microwave, so my leftover barbeque wasn't wasted.  I enjoyed my stay, but one of my screening criteria is refrigerator/microwave oven for something more than 1-2 nights, and their website specifically said my room would have them.  Also GPS directions to Indigo wasn't accurate, so it routed me to a different part of Harvard Avenue.

Minus one star for no refrigerator or microwave.  Luckily the wife and I were only here overnight to catch an early morning flight.

That being said there is nothing else I can say negatively about the hotel.

First off the room was large and very nicely decorated with quite a unique mural on the wall.  The walk in shower was huge and the Aveda products was an added plus. I wish I could have taken home the comforter!  It was heavy and very warm on a blustery Atlanta night.

The ATM machine didn't work in the Hotel, but the shuttle driver was kind enough to drive us to the nearest bank. That is what I call customer service (and Southern Hospitality).

The Hotel has a very nice bar/bistro that is called Harvard and Main. We grabbed two meals there, a late lunch and then dinner.  Food and service was good both times.  It is a rather upscale with several conversation nooks and game boards if you feel like playing Chess or Backgammon with your friends.

Looking forward to staying here again and investigating the area of College Park.  There is a nice little Main Street about 2 blocks away with shops and restaurants.

I know this hotel is part of a chain but it didn't have that chain "feel".  Floors are faux-wood laminate, not carpet and the room layout is a bit different.  Amenities are great with a Keurig coffee maker, a nice iHome clock radio and nice toiletries.  My typical pet peeve - not enough electrical outlets - definitely does NOT apply. They are everywhere!  On the light fixtures, along walls, plenty of them!

If this is an example of other Hotel Indigo's....they will become my go-to chain.

I booked the "save early and get breakfast" special for the hotel...and I guess the hotel person didn't realize that I got that with my reservation - even though I asked about the price of breakfast. For some reason I decided to look at my reservation on my phone and said 'hey wait --- I get breakfast!!'

The hotel it self was fine, you need to park in the back of the hotel, and I'm not sure if I was really charged for parking (online said $6). Breakfast was amazing. We wanted some yogurt with our breakfast so we asked the attendant and she brought us this delicious yogurt with granola on top (we were expecting something in a container).

There is no fridge or microwave in the hotel room.

This was the second time we stayed at a Hotel Indigo.

The only real bizarre thing is that there is a school next to the hotel and their 'playground' is this field across the street. The field looks like it hasn't been cut in ages.

If I needed to stay close to the GA airport I would stay here again if the price was right.
