This hotel has a good location in buckhead within walking distance of some good restaurants(bones & fogo de chao)  Check in/out was very effcient.  Free parking!  They have the amzingly comfortable hyatt bed.  Free wifi albeit slow but free nonetheless.  Got a great rate through their website $109 which is great for a hotel this nice.  Can't find anything to complain about.... would definitely stay here again.

My girlfriend and I were INCREDIBLY disappointed with our stay at the Hyatt Place. We found the hotel staff nice but generally inept.  It took the receptionist about 6 minutes to log into her own username so we could check in, which was very annoying.  The next morning we went downstairs to order black coffee.  Do you know what black coffee and a little milk means, because apparently the staff does not.  They gave us six shots of espresso and hot water, and when we explained that its not what we wanted they gave us espresso and steamed milk instead...still wrong.  The room was comfortable fortunately and amenities were nice, but the stay was not pleasant.  Go somewhere else.

Very clean room. This hotel is within walking distance to tons of stores, restaurants, and more! It took me and my husband 3 minutes to walk to AMC Fork & Screen. The staff is so friendly and helpful. I asked where a restaurant was, and before I knew it, the front desk clerk had directions printed out for me.

While I was impressed with the cordial staff on arrival at the Hyatt Place, this was short-lived. The hotel is currently in the process of updating its bathrooms and is thus a construction zone. Of course, this was not something I was made aware of when I made my reservation. From the time I checked in until 5 p.m., I heard drilling and banging incessantly. This resumed the following morning at 9:00 a.m. - yes, bright and early. When I called the front desk, I was told "well, the hotel is under construction, sir."  What a comfortable, refreshing night stay - NOT. First of all, inform your potential guests what they are about to experience. Second, my bad experience could probably have been avoided had the hotel not checked me into a room two down and directly across from rooms under construction. Why would you do that? Would it not make sense to keep guests on one end of the hotel while working on the opposite end? It only made it worse when the staff were not the slightest bit concerned about their guests' comfort.

The breakfast was fine - nothing special. The snacks and food offered for sale is outrageous. A coke is $2.50! Give me a break. And the hotel's fitness center is two treadmills and an elliptical machine. Maybe the hotel is better when its not under construction; I, however, had a miserable stay there.

Rooms seemed brand new
Super comfy bed
Nice adornments
Biggest flat screen I've ever seen
Separate and spacious sitting area with an awesome couch
Centrally located within Buckhead (between Lenox Mall and the Roxy)
Immediately adjacent to new Gordon Beirsch
Free internets for guest (hard to come by in Buckhead)
If you like to walk/jog in the evening the hotel is very close to a pretty neighborhood with nice houses and huge trees.

Workout room was four treadmills and one stationary bike. No weights, no circuit. For this alone I'll never come back (sucks when staying extended period of time)
Pool was fairly small
No excuse for slow elevators
Bottled beer was $6-10 at the tiny bar (budwiser people, we're talking budwiser)
No lotion in toiletries for guests. Lame.
Have to log into Internet every day, not once per stay. And internet was intermittently slow. Lamer.

Overall not a bad option but I'll keep searching for the perfect Buckhead hotel.

We had an enjoyable stay here during our recent trip to Atlanta.   We arrived on a Wednesday and this is the one night per week they have the General Manager reception.   The GM introduced himself to us and welcomed us to town.   Complimentary, beer, wine, soft drinks, bottled water and appetizers were served.  The rooms were clean and provided essential amenities including refrigerators. The location is great.  Within walking distance to shops and restaurants  The breakfast could have provided more items.   If you want eggs you are charged a fee.   Also, didn't notice hair conditioner in the bathroom.   Would stay here again though.  Friendly desk agents.   Overall a good experience.

I booked a two double bed hotel room through Priceline for a great price.
The hotel is really nice, the staff is very friendly.
Big flat screen TV that swivels, additional large couch with pullout if needed, free breakfast and parking. Close to quite a few eateries. Wicked water pressure in the showers - just what I wanted after driving all day!
Only complaint would be that their cable had no Comedy Central, :(. Also, I suspect the AC unit made me a bit sick.
Still, I would definitely recommend this place!

Stayed at the Hyatt place for a wedding. This was a cheaper option than the Ritz.

The room was nice, although not too big. I did enjoy how the room was separated slights from the bed and the couch, which you could relax on.

The TV is pretty big and swivels in order to view on the bed or couch.

There is a frig in the room and a bar sink.  The closet is tiny.

In the morning, there is breakfast with juice, bagels, fruit, yogurt. You could also order hot items should you wish. During the day, you can also order items from there and also grab other snack items, drinks etc..

There is a shuttle that runs every half hour within a few mile radius.

I will have to give a special shout to Hyatt place for allowing my wife and I a room after taking our red eye. They didn't have to provide us a room after arriving so early. Once a room was cleaned, we were able to go to our room and get some rest.

The staff was very nice and friendly.  Can't say that at all hotels.

I don't know when I'll be back in Atlanta, but I would stay here again.

The Hyatt Place is an easy choice for top snab hotel in the Atlanta neighborhoods. I quick lick outside the city proper, it's near enough by car to Fat Matt's and strip row. And got a room on a whim too.

The rates are affordable, if not on the cheap end. The rooms are brilliant, with a large tv and couch, private bed, and lobby sinks.

There are few reviews I have written where I can bluntly say: I was impressed.

The free breakfast tok pops to any I've had in recent memory. There's also an outdoor pool for Atlanta's sweet tea days. The brewery next door also looked plum stilled for a good eat.

I will pull up here with each recurring visit south the Mason-Dixon.

Room was very clean and comfortable.  The staff was very friendly and even offered additional seating area during breakfast hours when it got busy.   The hotel is in buckhead and is in close proximity to all the nice restaurants and attractions.  While it does cost more the area hotels, i believe you can't beat the location.  If you don't want to do too much driving around ATL i would recommend this place.

I spent two weeks here while on a business trip to the Atlanta area.  I was very impressed with the hotel.  I was told it was remodeled about a year ago.  Everything still seems quite new and fresh.  It is obviously well cared for.

The staff were very friendly when they weren't being overworked.  Every time I needed assistance at the front desk, there were never enough staff to take care all of the guests.

Housekeeping kept my room in impeccable shape, cleaning everything daily.  I felt like I had arrived in a freshly cleaned hotel room each evening.  They do participate in the environmental program, so if you want your sheets changed daily, you have to put a card on your pillow.  Towels left on the floor will be switched out for new towels.  I left my dirty towels in the tub each morning to make absolutely sure.

The rooms, while not extremely spacious, are very comfortable.  My king sized bedroom consisted of a small wrap around couch/conversion bed, a very nice comfortable king-sized bed, a work area, and a wet bar complete with refrigerator.  There is also a safe underneath the sink for your valuables.  The TV was about a 42" flat panel LCD mounted in the center of the room such that it could be swiveled towards the bed, or the seating area.  I stayed on the side of the hotel which faced the Fidelity Investments building next door, so I had a great view of the empty apartments across the way.

They have a free continental breakfast in the mornings, or you can opt for more substantial fare at a reasonable cost.  They do have a small kitchen that can make just about thing you might desire (eggs and breakfast burritos in the morning to hamburgers at night).  If you are a Hyatt Gold Passport member, you will receive a free copy of the Wall Street Journal on weekdays.

The only thing that concerned me was the rickety old elevators... I tried to stay off the middle elevator, as it sounded like it was gonna snap and fall at any moment!

Overall, this was a nice place to stay and I would certainly stay here again.

This place was surprisingly very nice! The lobby and check-in counter is oddly small, but the rooms are modern and very spacious. It has a kitchenette, and a living room with a couch. My wife and I stayed here with out 7 month old, and we had all the space we needed. The place is clean and they even had a crib in the room when we arrived (per request). Staff was all very friendly. I will def. stay here every time I'm in LA. Lost a star because we get woken up to drunk people yelling in the hallway.

Very accommodating hotel. They allowed us to check in early and check out late with our 2 children. They also assisted us with our vehicle transportation to another state as well as holding our luggage for almost 2 hours after we checked out since we didn't have to be at the airport until 4:00. Would highly recommend.

Hotel front desk is very friendly and helpful. We were given a quick tour of the facility once I answered that I don't remember if I'd stayed with the Hyatt group before - I'm sure I have, but retorted with a 'not sure' to the unexpected question.

The room though - hmmm - not worth the $ spent on the room. Square footage was lesser than expected. Bathrooms need to be renovated without question. The 40+" swivel TV is good, but the overall room felt cramped. Beds were squeaky, spring beds also I think.

Having had better experiences at a number of other hotels where we paid a similar fare as we did for the king bed room at Hyatt, I recommend to not stay here unless you absolutely need to. I would have given it a 3*, but decided to stick to 2* because I found myself thinking that my weekend out of town would have been a whole lot better if I had a better hotel room.

I stayed here one night in August for a bachelorette party in the middle of the week. We booked two rooms for 8 people. When we booked the rooms we mentioned that we would like the rooms either next to each other or across from each other. This was not fullfilled. It wasn't an out-of-the-ordinary request nor was the hotel even busy. (strike one) We decided to order food from their kitchen for dinner. No room service (strike two). Turns out you must pick it up from the bar. Not only did it take over an hour to get our food they blamed it on us. They estimated it would take 20 minutes to complete our order and that we can pick it up downstairs and we sat there for 65 minutes waiting on out food. Half of them were cold and half of them were not correct.(strike three). Finally, we were ready to head out for the night and called down to the front desk to call the shuttle. We were told when we checked in that the shuttle goes up to 2 miles from the hotel and runs until 11pm. We were going exactly 2 miles from the hotel and we called down to the office at exactly 9:49pm. We got to the lobby and the manager told us they couldn't take us because the shuttle stops at 10pm. This wasn't the issue. The issue was, the GENERAL MANAGER blamed us for the miscommunication, being drunk (which we weren't) and for lying. (strike four!) NEVER again will I stay here nor will I recommend it. If you need a place for the night and you aren't expecting any accommodations... by all means, knock yourself out.

I generally like staying at Hyatt Place - really enjoyed Broomfield CO, Roseville CA and Reno NV.  Also love the Hyatt brand - Hyatt Kauai and Manchester Hyatt are some of the nicest properties I have stayed at.

Unfortunately it is Hyatt's such as this that knock the entire brand.

Pro's -comfortable bed. Good location.

Con's: first as a member of Hyatt's top tier felt like it didn't matter. Room was not the "nicest".  No acknowledgement of being a loyal client. Room was a mid floor in the middle.  If this is the "best room available" - then would love to know what the so-so rooms are like. Long wait for elevators.

Facility was crowded. You could hear everyone walk by the room. Someone decided it was a good idea to paint the inside of an elevator during the day - so it smelled. Weak wi-fi.

While I appreciate the breakfast in the morning - it was packed, no where to sit.

Staff did its best but clearly this facility is about move them in and move them out.

Sorry - this rates as the lowest Hyatt I have stayed at. Won't be back unless nothing else available.

I'm sitting in my Hyatt Place Buckhead room while I am writing this review. The cost of this hotel is a little high for a hotel that doesn't offer room service or have a restaurant or real bar, but the rooms are the typical Hyatt Place models, which are very suitable for business travel.  Even though I have found more reasonable prices for the luxurious Grand Hyatt across the street, the spacious, well appointed rooms at the Hyatt Place are more comfortable to me.

I will say that I HATE HATE HATE the bathrooms.  When I travel with my boyfriend, I like to have private bathroom time.  The vanities are right in front of the bedroom and are outside the tiny bath/toilet area.  Sometimes I like to wake up early and get ready at my own pace, but there is no room to share space for grooming at any of the Hyatt Place hotels.

As with most Hyatt Place hotels, this one is extremely clean.

I really enjoyed my stay here.

The check in process was great.  The staff was very polite and even gave me some sites to see while staying in the area.

The rooms were nice... I did break out a little after sleeping in the bed... but I have really sensitive skin.. and there were no apparent signs of bed bugs.

They also have a lot of great locations to eat and shop within walking distance of the hotel.

All in all great time staying here!

I really enjoyed my stay here, even though it's not as plush as the much higher priced Grand Hyatt a couple blocks north. Located in the heart of Buckhead, this is THE clean and budget-friendly place to stay if location is important to you. The hotel feels fresh bc everything is still like new. I'm referring specifically to the light contemporary decor. The room was nicely done with a seating area.  If this is any consolation, there's three things you get free here that are extras at the Grand Hyatt: (1) two free bottles of water on your room, (2) an amazing breakfast buffet and (3) free parking.

Free breakfast was really very good.
Quick check in/out

Only downside:  Too far of a walk to parking.  Make sure you get the parking hang tag before you park.  We didn't and it was a hike back to the car to leave it.

Let me start by saying that I have stayed at Hyatt Place all across the country.  As a mater of fact it was the hotel of choice because I have always had a positive experience.

Did a one night stay at this  Buckhead location booked through Hotels.com and arrived at 6:30 PM.  We were told in a not so nice way our room was not ready and we were 5th in line for when one was ready but they would give us a piece of thawed out frozen cheese cake if we wanted.

We went out to dinner and did get a room when we returned at 9:30PM.  This location is VERY WELL USED.  Our room on the 2nd floor was standard layout but the carpets was stained in several spots, just plain dirty, the TV remote was broken, the bathroom door would not shut and the handle on the bathroom door was detached from people yanking on the sticking door.  The bathroom was so small you had to step into the shower to close the door.  Lastly, the bed was so old and broken down it was like sleeping on a wave.  This is not the standards I have come to expect from Hyatt Place.

The elevators worked but so SLOW. I used the workout room and that was small but had OK equipment.

We DID NOT receive out bill under the door but had to go down to the deck upon no one even asked about how the stay was.  This was the most telling part, they have a staffing and management issue at this location. The people working here just don't seem to care and it shows.

I will think twice about Hyatt Place in the future.  I would NOT recommend this location.

I give this place 5 stars.  Excellent staff and front desk politeness; very customer service oriented.  Free parking.  Spacious, clean, well appointed rooms.  Great for business travelers.  I noticed, although I did not use this, it had computer connections to the very large flat screen TV so you could fire up power points and review them with your associates right in your room.  I don't think Hilton or Marriott properties offer this.

Stayed at this property over the July 4th weekend and if i would have did my research to know that there was a marathon that weekend i would have most def choose another hyatt to stay at. I enjoy being a starwoods member and not to jump on the bandwagon with most of the other reviewers but i have to be honest! This by far has to be one of the least favorite hyatt's that i've stayed at. The elevators are so slow that i decided to take the steps most of the times i left and came back to the hotel. I was located on the sixth floor. Not much of a view so if your a person that loves rooms on a high floor save your request there is NOTHING to see. Bathrooms are almost comically small! You literally can't shut the door here unless you step into the shower! LOL! This particular weekend they were pretty busy and just with my luck i was on the same floor as a family and their kids. Baby crying early in the morning and they would wake up at the crack of dawn can hear through these walls since they are basically paper thin. On the positive side the staff was actually pretty courteous and professional i will say. Also the complimentary cont breakfast they offer is awesome. Free parking and wifi! You can't really find that sort of thing at ANY hotel in Buckhead which is a prime location! Phipps Plaza within walking distance as well as Lenox mall. I would stay again if i was traveling on a budget..

We used this location for a Bachelorette weekend and we were very impressed! (Once we found the place)

It definitely confused us and our GPS that there was the Hyatt and then a separate Hyatt Place down the street. Make sure you know which one, before you mistakenly pay for parking at the Hyatt!

I agree that it was a frustratingly far walk from the car to the lobby, but what can you do? Gotta work with what you have! Plus, their parking was free!

Our room was clean and even with 11 screaming girls the sound was minimal in the hallway outside of our room. The rooms were clean. I was impressed by the quality of bedding, pillows, and towels too. They had plenty of hangers in the closet for all of our dresses.

The ladies working in the lobby were fantastic! They were all very sweet and even offered to take a group photo when we were struggling with out phone selfies.

One of the big perks of this hotel was they had a complementary shuttle that took us to dinner, then picked us up and took us to our first bar of the evening! The shuttle service ended at 11, but the hotel was close enough where we were able to walk back from the bars.

Literally the worst experience I've ever had with any of the Hyatt hotels. Hyatt Place Buckhead Atlanta states they are "pet-friendly" when really they aren't at all. Dear Hyatt Place, if you are going to charge $75 for a pet fee, then tell me that my pet isn't allowed through the front door and lobby, (you have to use side doors) you shouldn't be considered "pet-friendly"at all. There should be a sign adequately stating that pets aren't allowed through the front door if you are going to make that a rule. Another thing, how is one person staying with a pet going to check-in when they are supposed to not have pets in the lobby? I can't stand the fact of paying an outrageous fee and be told when & where I can & can't have my fur baby. Now, I could understand if it was a "free-fee pet-friendly" establishment, then I would do anything you told me to do! But as long as there is a fee for pets, I refuse to follow any "pet-policy", I will not recommend this hotel branch to anyone, nor will you ever have my business again. Not to mention the rooms, they are really not anything special. The water pressure was horrible, the shower would make this high-pitched screeching sound, and the beds are really not comfortable. On a plus side, the toilet had a "no-slam" lid! Management was the worst. All I'm gonna say! I will not recommend if you are looking for somewhere to stay, we packed up and left! Lost our business! Headed to the Westin!

I really liked this hotel for several reasons but knocked them off a star because they aren't really "pet-friendly" like they had advertised. Instead, they're more "pet-tolerant" which is definitely not the same thing. For example, our silky terrier (who is a small dog and not more than 20 pounds) was not allowed to walk through the lobby or any common areas. Instead, when we had to take him out for a walk, we were told to use side doors. Usually, I don't make a fuss over such a thing but please don't call yourself a pet-friendly hotel if you won't let pets in through the front door or in the lobby area, that just doesn't make sense to me.

Other than that, I thought the hotel was clean, had nice rooms and great accommodations. I really liked the courtesy breakfast in the morning which had an assortment of cold and hot breakfast items, as well as coffees and teas (thanks for thinking of us people who don't drink coffee!) They also have a shuttle which could take you anywhere within a few miles radius AND pick you up! Of course this was only available during operating hours but definitely perfect if you want to catch a movie, go shopping or do something nearby and don't want to spring for a cab!

They do have free parking which is awesome considering other hotels want to charge you. The only downside is that it's a lot that isn't directly in front of or behind the hotel. Instead, it's off to the side and not a fun walk if it's rainy or cold, but still beats paying!

I really did enjoy my stay here, I just wish they were pet-friendly like they were advertised to be!

When we first arrived at the Hyatt we were pleased by the friendly staff until after we enquired about restaurants within walking distance and they not only didn't bother to tell us about the pub 100 feet from the hotel but were clueless that the Mexican restaurant we had visited last time had closed. They nudged us towards ordering their version of room service instead. It was 20 degrees outside so we opted for the room service, which isn't room service because you have to go down to the lobby to pick it up.  Was that ever a mistake. $12 for a chicken Nacho Grande platter that consisted of tortilla chips, a dozen dime sized pieces of chicken and cheese sauce poured over it from a can. The Ceasars salad was even worse. We made three trips down to the lobby trying to get our order right since they put no dressing on the salad and sent the wrong sandwich.

The room was clean but the maid never replaced our drinking glasses after we used them the first night. They were taken away never to return.

The icing on the cake was the billing. We were there on a business trip and needed to split the bill between us for the several night stay. We returned home to discover that not only had I not been charged for my half but my friend had been charged twice.  So a $1400 bill landed on her credit card.  Nice. ...needless to say we will NOT be returning to the Hyatt.

Looking for another swanky hotel, with amazing rooftop views, and a bar crawling with Buckhead's finest? Well that's not this hotel, however that might be a good thing in Buckhead.

What the Hyatt Place Buckhead offers is high quality rooms, attentive staff, good location, and plenty of amenities to make you smile. All at a very good price.

I stayed three nights this past weekend and had a wonderful time. I was impressed with the room. Comfortable, large, and quiet. Cleaned often, and the staff was never intrusive. Each time I came by to ask a question downstairs, they replied with a quick answer. Providing extra information that I hadn't even asked.

It's centrally located in the heart of Buckhead. Quick walk over to the train. Near all the major highways. On Peachtree Road. And while people gawked and thought it was weird, we comfortably walked to all the bars and restaurants within 15 minutes in Buckhead. (Hey, I'm a New Yorker. A 15 minute walk isn't anything)

If walking isn't your thing though, they have a shuttle service every half hour. It will drive you within a 2 mile radius of the hotel. They gym isn't anything special, but they do have one. Basic free weights up to 50 pounds, one bench and some cardio machines. If you come back from a night on the town, you'll be glad to know you'll be able to rehydrate with some delicious flavored fruit water as you walk in. Or maybe you want to grab a beer at the lobby bar. It's nothing special and closes by midnight, but you can grab a quick one (or three). If you wake up feeling a bit tired and need some energy, they provide complementary breakfast which lasts till 9:30 on the weekdays and 10 on the weekends.

My one issue would be the elevators. They seemed new enough, yet were very slow. At times it felt they closed too fast, and at others too slow.

If you're looking for something friendly, pleasant, and at a good price in Buckhead, Hyatt Place might be your place.
