this is the best hotel in the area for several reasons, but first and foremost, it is the people here!  they all really care!  chris, monique and alan are all exceptional and provided great service with a smile.  There's a free breakfast that is awesome and they have 2 very nice cooks, antonio and LJ(not sure of name).  in any event, my room was very clean as i stayed here a week on business.  the room was very well made, very clean, spacious and the  refrigerator and microwave were nice touches.  the bed was clean and outstanding.  the fitness room is very good with weights and a treadmilll and a stepper/elliptical.  the only thing missing is a spin bike.  the free limo service really wow'ed me as my work was just 2 miles away and they always offered to take me in a stretch lincoln navigator to work each morning for free!!  it just doesn't get any better than this, except that both limo drivers were incredibly friendly and pleasant.  Benjamin provided me with a couple of rides, and each morning he greeted me with a smile, made sure i was satisfied with my stay and offered up good suggestions for where to eat and what to see and do.  Benjamin was positive and friendly that i looked forward to seeing him each morning.  bottom line, this is a big value hotel that makes you feel right at home because all of the employees are upbeat, happy and they truly care about your stay to ensure that you will come back again and again.   oh, they also have a swimming pool as well.  the location was outstanding since my company is in Buckhead.  i visit Atlanta every 4-6 weeks and there is absolutely no doubt that I will stay at the hotel time and time again.  everyone was sincere, genuine, and went the extra mile to ensure that i would have a restful night's stay.   there's also some free food in the bar around happy hour for a few night's during the week, so i often had dinner here for a beer or two on tap. there's lots of good places to eat that are walking distance away as well.  this hotel is really great, it was very clean, the housekeepers do an exceptional job and all the people who work there are happy and that genuinely care about you and your stay.  i only wish that more hotels were as clean, comfortable and professional as this one.  the people here are outstanind and i look forward to staying very soon again.

When I'm asked, "Where should I stay in Atlanta?"  this is the place I recommend.  Check out TripAdvisor - there's a reason this is ranked the #1 hotel in Atlanta.  Is it as nice as the Four Seasons or Ritz Carlton?  Definitely not.  However, for the price, location, and all the other amenities, this place is the best for visiting Atlanta.

        Here's what's great:
-- Fantastic staff!  These folks are 100% customer service oriented.  Everything you need will be taken care of with a smile.  Love the staff here!
--Huge, beautiful rooms with hardwood floors, comfy beds with high thread count sheets, mini-fridge, free internet, cable tv, and blackout curtains
-- Did you see that?  Free.  Internet.
-- Free full breakfast.  A free, delicious, full breakfast.  Omelette and pancake/waffle stations.  Fantastic grits.  Yummy sausage and bacon.  All sorts of health food options (great fruit, yogurt, etc.).  Tons of options on beverages, including a cappucino machine.  Lots of cereals and cereal bars.  My breakfast was absolutely filling and delicious and the staff serving breakfast are so kind.
-- State-of-the-art fitness center (great machines!)
-- Great deals on rooms plus Delta Skymiles credit if you sign up for their loyalty program (what's better than that???)
-- Great rates for government employees
        -- Free parking
-- LIMO SERVICE WITHIN 6 MILES OF THE HOTEL.  Yes, this means you can take a ride to Lenox, Maggiano's, even Target.  We took it everywhere - it was free!  You just have to call ahead and be willing to be flexible with your pick-up time, but if you have a cell phone, this really isn't a problem at all.  You could even get a limo drop-off for the Marta station if you need to get to Midtown/Downtown.  Definitely beats the outrageous cab prices in Atlanta and its helpful to have a reliable driver in a strange town to make recommendations, etc.  Our driver was so kind and easy to work with.

If you know someone coming to Atlanta who won't have access to a car, this is a great option as they won't have to worry about transport.

We loved our stay at the Wingate and would send anyone there.  I'm not really sure why I'm the first person to review on Yelp (there are 377 reviews on TripAdvisor as of today), but please don't let this lone review be the deterrent for staying there.

Fantastic hotel!  This is by far the best Wingate I have ever stayed in.  Nice rooms, quiet, clean, comfortable, and modern.  The breakfast is great with real food including eggs to order and just a wonderful experience.  I refuse to stay anywhere else and best of all, it is in Buckhead!

Nice hotel, clean rooms, limo shuttle available up to 2 miles from hotel. excercise room available for those who want to workout. The only downside is the complimentary breakfast they offer, the cook is an elderly gentleman that might have been a chef when he was young but I don't think he has what it takes anymore. I ordered an omelette and my eggs were runny. But then again, i didn't book the hotel for the free breakfast . Recommended highly.

When looking for a hotel for this quick visit to Atlanta, I had 4 specifications (1) not too far from the attractions we planned to visit, (2) free parking, (3) free wifi (because I visited a hotel in DFW a couple years ago which was, like, $160+/night, but didn't include free wifi in that price and (4) complimentary breakfast since I had 2 boys with me to feed. Wingate by Wyndham met, and exceeded, ALL of my specifications. It's also the first hotel room I've ever been in with wood floors installed in the rooms (was probably actually laminate flooring or engineered, I didn't look at it that close to tell) which is so much cleaner than carpet.

We didn't spend a whole lot of time in the room (left about 10 each morning and got back to the room about 8 each night), but the little bit of time we were around impressed me. If you're staying here, I really recommend getting up early enough to enjoy the complimentary breakfast (my kids certainly enjoyed it, especially since I told them if they didn't get up in enough time to eat, then they would just be hungry until lunch time - food is a great motivator for a teenager & a pre-teen lol).

Will definitely stay here again next time I'm in the ATL area.

This place is Amazing! I came here to work during the weeks I had off school and it was amazing. The people here are so nice and since I was by myself they were incredibly nice to me. The breakfast here is delicious.

Good: excellent people at the front desk and people making bfast, free bfast with custom made waffles and omelets, free cookies, free business center, free escalade limo within 3 mile radius, clean fitness center with modern equipment, eggwhite omelet option at bfast.

Bad: crappy printer in business center. They should upgrade the printers, needed to print flight ticket info for flight back home; printers didn't work.  Not a big deal. But they probably don't even know the computers and printers suck. Looks like they contract the service of the computers to a third party.

My 1 year anniversary went awesome thanks Wingate.

So it was my 1 year anniversary with my boyfriend and he went all out for me.

When arriving at the hotel on the outside it looks horrible. I was thinking to my self wth??

Upon walking in they instantly greeted us and treated us like royalty.

We had the romance package which included
Accommodations for Two in a Suite
        Bottle of Champagne
        Box of exquisite chocolates
Full American Breakfast with made to order omelets & waffles
Dinner for Two at a Buckhead Life Group Restaurant ( buckheadrestaurants.com )
Limousine Service within the Buckhead Area

The suite was very nice looking.

Love the hot tub we had in our room & nice shower area.

        The room was very large..

I was on cloud 9. Omg the bed was so comfortable at times I didnt want to get up out of it. I am real big on customer services & the hotel staff was wonderful.

I would recommend this small but luxury place to anyone

This could be another average chain hotel, but it is not. There are many differentials such as the free limo transportation to nearby areas, the daily hot breakfast with amazing biscuits and made to order omelets, the very nice coffee machine providing delicious coffee drinks anytime (the latte is amazing), the cookies in the afternoon, newspaper every morning and a courteous front desk. Rooms are comfortable and well decorated and the hotel offers free self-parking. I didn't use the swimming pool or the restaurant. Location is great and definitely the stay was an excellent deal.
The only small problem: housekeep service was a bit slow.

Stayed here for the July 4th 10K Road Race that starts at Lenox & Peachtree Road. Excellent property, nice clean rooms - excellent staff - and by far the best free Hotel breakfast ever (real bacon...not fake, real omlettes). If you arrive late, and the hotel is booked, expect no parking to be available.....but, there are plenty of curbs (but it get's really tight). You can walk to Buckhead and MARTA (but, hotel provides a shuttle as well). Just be aware that traffic on Piedmont is HORRIBLE (not hotels fault) - just be aware that evening traffic will cause the 1.1 mile trip to the Phipps (Buckhead) Mall to take 20++ minutes.

For racers - skip the other more expensive hotels that charge you an arm and a leg for everything from parking to wifi - and stay here! Free wifi, free parking, free breakfast and reasonable rates! Short walk to the starting line area, and short return walk from Marta after the race.

We spent this past weekend at the Wingate By Wyndham and LOVED it! Excellent service all the way around from the front desk to the bellman. We had a deluxe room and was just the right size. The location of the Wingate By Wyndham is perfect. We will stay at the Drake the next time in Atlanta. We would not think about staying anywhere else.

There are four things that I look for from now on when booking a hotel- convenient & safe location, cleanliness, amenities, & good Yelp reviews. I was in Atlanta this past weekend for my brother's fiancé bachelorette party. The other bridesmaids chose to stay at another replicable hotel but I chose to book with Wingate for the free parking, wi-fi, breakfast, and shuttle service within a 3.0 mile radius. I checked-in with Marie, who was pleasant, friendly, and made check-in a breeze. The room was a bit worn, however; thoroughly cleaned and smelled fresh. The bed was comfortable with a nice flat screen television perfectly positioned in front of the bed. The microwave, refrigerator, and safe are excellent additions to any hotel room. Also The hot breakfast OMG was amazing!
This hotel is not as fancy and as the other hotels in the area but it has reasonable rates with quality service. I definitely enjoyed my stay and will return in the near future.
