Very friendly staff.  Rooms a hair smaller than most Marriott court yards.  Nice lunch bar.  Only pepsi products.

55$ on priceline and well worth it considering roach motel walk up rates are higher

Did you know?  They offer free complimentary breakfast every morning, but someone serves you your drink, so be prepared to leave a tip.

This marriott is prob one of the more disappointing ones I've stayed in.  I checked in late and they only had rooms on the second floor -- with NO ELEVATOR.  WHAT? So I had to carry all of my heavy luggage up a floor, which I guess isn't that big of a deal.  It's probably much better than staying on the first where you dont feel that safe.

However, I must say almost everything in Augusta is off of this area, so the location is definitely a plus.  It's a good site, but they have a couple more newer ones (Holiday Inn and Hilton Garden Inn), which you may want to check out before booking ;)

I would have given it another star except for two things: they did away with coffee in the lobby and their towels are extra thin.

Motel is ok however it has some large draw backs.  Getting to your upstairs room is a real problem. They have NO elevator or anyone to help you with your luggage & though you are one of Marriott's best customers you will still find your room upstairs & in the back.

Breakfast was with very thin bacon, pre-packaged potatoes, but the coffee was good.

The motel was difficult to locate due to its location off of a winding back street.  Its major detraction is no help and no elevator to get to the second floor.  They could at least have a ramp so you could drag all of your stuff up the ramp instead of the stairs or a Bellman to assist you.

This defines a 3-star hotel. The Courtyard Augusta is very mediocre - nothing terribly wrong with it, but nothing great either.

I have been upgraded to a "suite" with a balcony and overlooked the pool, and there was nothing upgraded about it. Same room as the other ones in this hotel that I have stayed at in the past when traveling to Augusta.

    - Very comfortable bed (most Marriott's do though)
    - Clean and quaint lobby
    - Plenty of parking
    - Mobile check-in
    - Pretty good TV in the rooms
    - Friendly staff
    - Good location

    - No elevators (not a problem for me, but would definitely be for elders)
    - If you get a room on the first floor, be prepared to pretty much be right next to the parking lot - not ideal when window/patio is the parking lot
    - Rate seems high for Augusta, GA. I have found very similar rates for Courtyards in Washington DC right in the city. AAA rate usually ranges from $150-$175.

If you are loyal to Marriott, Augusta has this one and the Marriott Convention Center downtown. If you don't care and want to stay in this general area, I hear the Sheraton next door is nicer and pretty much the same rate.

Interesting to read other's opinions on this place. I'm a Gold level Elite Marriott member (which means I use my Marriott Visa too much and travel too much!). So I've seen quite a few Marriotts in my travels. I've got to say that my rating is relative for AUGUSTA GA. And, for the quality of Marriott beds! I've stayed at the Hilton, Sheraton, etc and NONE have more comfortable beds than Marriott. I used to have back issues until I invested in one of those Sleep Comfort beds, now my back issues have gone away. Not that Marriott uses Sleep Comfort....but they DO use softer beds. The Hilton next door uses concrete....trust me I'm an Engineer and have run slump tests on those damned things! LOL......

They have a good complimentary breakfast in the morning....at least at my company's rate. They did honor my AAA rate for my personal trip up this weekend to see my Dad for Father's Day.

The staff is always nice and overall this is a nice hotel. Sure there are better. But for Augusta.....4 STARS. That's my story and I'm sticking to it!
