I have spent alot of time in Hampton Inns across the country. The fault here  is not with the management/staff. The issue is that this is an old school Hampton Inn that is a few degrees removed from a Motel 6. I am talking about small, external access-only rooms only of the kind you find along highways everywhere. The facility is simply not up to par to what I expect when I reserve a Hampton Inn room.

You gotta take what your budget allows.  The Hampton Inn on Washington Road offered a 2-day Masters Practice Round package.  Besides two tickets for Monday and for Tuesday, the establishment provided van services every half-hour starting at 7AM and ending at 7PM - and they dropped/picked-up within 100 yards of the patron enter-here gates.  Very nice and convenient.  And as part of their Masters package, they served dinner poolside on Monday night (burgers, hot dogs, salad and dessert) and Tuesday night (pork loin, mixed veggies, salad and dessert).   The rooms are a bit behind the times and my room had an air-conditioning unit that had a personality of its own (it gurgled before coming on).  But the bathroom was clean, the shower strong, and the bed comfy.   I'll take convenience that comes with a great trip to The Masters anytime over laying down my retirement savings to have a cushy room at the Marriott in downtown Augusta.  Of course, this was a guy's trip...... with a gal?  Oh Marriott would be in play.   :)

I was swindled! I though if I had a Hampton Inn booking...I've gotta be safe right??? Well, no.... outside opening doors, the absolute worst area as far as traffic congestion goes, hotel front desk staff was rude in person and over the phone. Hampton Inn folks should just sell this property. It's an embarrassment to have their name on the hotel. Room was clean but tiny. No elevator so get ready to practice your deadlift skills. Breakfast was ok. Again hotel front desk was ruuuuuuuuude.

The hotel is fair. Lots of road noise. Small rooms. No room safe. No shower cap. Food passable.

I stay at Hilton brands weekly and usually Hampton Inn are actually the most consistent.  Not in this case!  It is a re-done Motel 6 or Super 8 so it is the first Hampton Inn I have been to with outside entrance directly from the room which is not the safest for a single, traveling girl.  They did the best they could with the rooms, however, w/o a full renovation, it still feels like a motel.  Stay at the Hilton Garden across the street!

Let me explain why I gave this hotel 4 stars. We are a touring rock band and I get to stay in all sorts of cut-rate flea bins but this place is clean, the surrounding clientele are relatively safe, and I can close both my eyes at the same time. For the price we are big fans.

Its decent, but one of the first Hampton properties, according to the desk girl.  The doors open to the outside / parking area.  The rooms are all rennovated, clean and comfortable.  Because they open to the outside, it can be a bit louder with car alarms, pedestrians, etc.

    The rates were very cheap.

We were quite pleased with this property.  They have done a good job remodeling. The rooms were large and comfortable. Hampton is one of the very few that have smoking rooms. I would stay here again.

This place was wonderful! The staff went above and beyond for us everyday. The room was very clean, the linens were very nice, the beds were very comfortable, and i felt completely safe staying there with two small children. The rooms are exterior but i did not feel that was issue. The "continental" breakfast was a FULL hot and wonderful breakfast every morning. I can not say enough about the staff. They were caring and friendly and very professional. I will definitely stay here again and recommend it to my family and friends.

Eh, not what I expected with a hilton property..... This is literally one step above a motel 6. Biggest complaint is the front desk.... Very rude. I'm a long time hilton rewards guest and called about 35 minutes out from this location while traveling. Called hotel direct and was quickly and rudely transfered to the hilton reservation line. (I don't typically mind using the reservation line but.... Sometimes it's nice for the personal touch to speak with the actual hotel when booking a room in an area you are unfamiliar with) ok, no big deal. Booked the room... Got to location relatively easy. Remember this because this is iMPORTANT... noooooooooo elevator.... And limited stairwells.... If you have more then one bag... Skip this location... When I walked in I ask for the locations of the stairwell and or the elevator... Front desk was flat out rude.... I'm currently sitting in my room... But I can promise you I will NOT return to this location again.. For the price.. I expect better. I could've booked couple doors down for much less the. My $109 price and received better service and a comparable room. Room is very small... And dated.

Horrible.   Shame on you Hilton Brands for not selling this location to a pay by the hour motel owner.

The friendly excellent staff can't make up for the TINY beds. These rooms should be sold as singles only. They are building a new facility behind the current one. Maybe better in a couple of years.

I've stayed here a few times for work. They have made major improvements since my last stay last year. They are clean, friendly, quiet, and comfortable. I will stay again the next time I'm in Augusta.
