Great spot! I found this place on Orbitz, and the reviews were all fantastic. The building looks a little aged from the outside, but my room was extremely comfortable and clean. The front desk person was very friendly, even though I got in pretty late at night, free wi-fi, and the hot breakfast in the morning was very good. All this, for a very reasonable price. There was some noise and light pollution from being on a large street, but I am from Los Angeles, so I hardly noticed it. I will definitely stay here again the next time I'm in Augusta.

Great value! Wonderful, friendly staff. Has all the amenities you would need, WiFi, laundry room, hot breakfast, exercise room, computer printer/copier. Clean, well kept and managed. Convenient location. Had an extended stay here waiting on a house. It's not a five star hotel and it's a little noisy on the highway side but you can't beat the value. Highly recommended!

My son his stationed here on Ft Gordon.  I now know I have a great place to stay every time I come to visit. Front desk staff treated me like family, so warm and friendly. The room was so clean! Comfortable bed, great shower. Microwave/frig in room. Convenient central location to all the places I had to go, as this was at the end of a business trip. Nice choices for breakfast from the usual to all the breakfast microwave foods you could want. AMAZING BARGAIN in this day and age!

I chose this place because of ratings and reviews. The hotel overall was nice and staff very helpful. The only downside was the beds. Two double beds in my room were horribly hard and uncomfortable. Worst night of rest I have had in ages.

We just stayed there on May 7-9. The staff was very friendly and the lobby was small but clean. We were in the room right next to the lobby and I was happy about that. The room was clean, smelled nice, I was never afraid to walk around barefoot. The bed was a little hard but the bedding was nice and clean. The hotel was very convenient to everything we were in town for. The room was very comfortable and I was impressed with it.  I was in town with my daughter and my infant granddaughter for my daughter's graduation from med school. It was a very warm day so I invited a couple people back to the room to sit in the nice air conditioned room, to my surprise and horror, the room had not been cleaned. I went to the desk and the young man was very apologetic. He asked if the do not disturb sign had been out most of the day and I said we took it off the door between 10 and 10:15 but we didn't leave til around 11:30 and no one came to the room. I would have let this go but my daughter showed me a spent needle from a diabetic test kit on the counter. IT was very tiny and could have been missed when the room was cleaned. But if we had had a toddler with us or an inquisitive child they would have found it sooner and could have been a disaster. Again, I would have let this go..because it was so small and I would have never seen it if my daughter hadn't pointed it out to me. Then at 3 in the morning, there was a car outside our door for over 20 minutes. The people in the car were very very loud, they woke me up, woke my daughter and the baby.  I complained at the desk the next morning as were checking out and the desk clerk was very apologetic about all 3 incidents and told me, when I inquired, that the owner would give me a small rebate and she would have her call me. I waited and never got a call back, so I called yesterday. I was called a liar and told that there was not a needle on the counter and that the 3 in the morning wake up was from late night check ins and they were told to be quiet. And that we left the do not disturb sign on the door all day. Being called a liar is what got to me..I am not a complainer and would not have complained about any of them, except to let them know what we saw, heard, etc. If the woman I spoke to yesterday had been apologetic and even said, " I am sorry about what happened, thank you for your input, we will make sure it never happens again" I would have let it go..instead she called me a liar.

Many improvements with new ownership. Stayed here several years ago during  Masters golf week and again this year. Very clean and the staff is friendly and available. Only downside was that there were several middle of the night delivery/garbage trucks that were very noisy at the adjacent properties.

I stayed at the West Bank Inn for three nights while in town to play with the symphony.  I wish I could offer this property two separate ratings: one for the condition of the current property and one for value.  If rating value, I would have given the hotel five stars.  I feel that people will probably be more concerned with the aesthetic and cleanliness, for which I would offer four stars.

The hotel looks kind of dilapidated from the outside, but I found my room to be clean.  The mattress was a bit soft, but the bed linens were clean.  The interior of my room was pretty 90's-tastic.  That said, they were in the middle of major room renovations while I was staying here.  The front desk said that some of the rooms had already been renovated, but I was in one of the older rooms.  During my time there, I witnessed workers tearing out the old, laminate countertops and sinks.  There were huge crates of granite countertops in the parking lot that were being installed.  I also could see that they were doing a lot of painting as well.  It seems like the final product would be nice.  The renovations themselves during the day were quite loud, but it wasn't a huge deal and ended around 5:30-6 every day.

The front desk employees were all really friendly, and I appreciated that they served weekday breakfast until 9:30am and weekend breakfast until 10:30am.  (I'm on the road a lot, and I hate it when hotels end breakfast really early.  As a musician with late rehearsals, I always miss breakfast.)  There was also a really small fitness room that contained an elliptical machine, treadmill, machine weights, and a stationary bike.  Nothing fancy, but it was clean and got the job done.

Not at fault to the hotel, but Washington Road can be really loud and busy.  The white noise from my room AC/heater drowned out a lot of this, but it might be worth bringing a pair of earplugs.  For the price, this hotel is a steal.  Because it is locally owned, they offer cheap prices minus the sketchiness one would normally associate with chain hotels at those prices.

    Great deal!

This was the first time that I ever stayed in a hotel for $100 a night and I certainly would have ever stayed in a hotel that the doors are not confined.. Well I did and I was not disappointed. My wife and I stopped in Augusta from Fl going back home to Roanoke Va.. I was very hesitant at first, my wife said come on we are staying here. The price total was $65.00 and the room was very very comfortable, extremely clean and the check in staff was very very nice. I would stay there again and I recommend it to anyone that is looking for cheap and affordable. I am somewhat picky, not over the top picky but I was pleased

They have made lots of updates since I was last here. The carpets are new and there is fresh paint on the walls, flat screen TV's and all the rooms are non-smoking.

The beds need an update, but other than that, it's a nice room for a very low price.

They even have a small fitness center with a treadmill, elliptical, bike and a weight machine.

The staff is very nice and helpful, the breakfast is pretty standard, nothing fancy, but they keep it very well stocked and clean.

Most of the people who stay here are either orchestra members (during the season) or they are contractors who are usually gone before you get out of bed.

It's not luxury accommodations, but it's a nice clean hotel for a good price. I'll seats stay here when I'm in Augusta.
    :-)
