It felt like we were at a motel 6 when we stayed at this hotel.  Our room was not that clean, even after checking in at 5pm.  Bed was unmade and there was a strange odor in the room.  The hotel appearance outside is not maintained and drug addicts were lingering around the area--not safe at all!  We thought we had the wrong hotel when we arrived.  This place was terrible!  Will not be staying here or at any other Baymont hotel again. Save your money and stay at different hotel.  This place charges hotel fees for motel quality rooms and accommodations.

Very clean and comfortable room with great king size bed, sheets and pillows!!! Very very nice staff!  Convenient location right off I95!  Would stay again for an overnight stop!

Not the easiest to find off the main drag, however check in was quick & hassle free and the bed was great! Clean room, simple & basic and did I mention the bed was great! Price was fair as well.

I really can't ask for more. This place was affordable, super clean and offered a small breakfast in the morning.

Add to this comfy beds, good pillows and wifi and I think I'll be hitting up Baymonts wherever my travels take me.

The staff were friendly and they also have big screen tvs in the room, for something like 90 bucks a night I think it's a great place to lay your head.

Pros: Affordable, rooms are clean, friendly but slow staff, pool, fridge and microwave in the room
Cons: Not close to downtown area, sketchy characters

This is a no bells and whistles kind of hotel. It isn't that far off from Historic and downtown Savannah, but it's still a pain to drive up there when there's a lot of traffic. We stayed here on July 4th weekend ($90/night) and one of the nights there were people popping off fireworks in the parking lot. Apparently it is pet friendly but I saw no info of this on their website. I think the pet fee is $25. Overall it's ok if you want to save some money, but next time I would try to visit off-peak times, and stay at a hotel closer to the Historic area.

In Statesboro there are not THAT many options for hotels.  There aren't any super fancy hotels near the downtown area (there are a few nicer ones by GSU).  I found this hotel on Tripadvisor and it was listed as the top or 2nd to top place to stay.  It had really great reviews for being a 'cheap' hotel, so we decided to try it out.  We were able to get a super low rate on priceline ($50 a night for the weekend), which was nice because it was the weekend and they ended up getting completely booked because of various events in the area that weekend.

Upon checking the manager alerted us to all the free amenities- pool, gym, dvd rental (free!), 48 inch plasma TV's in each room, computers with high speed internet in each room, wi-fi (free!), and breakfast every morning.  WOW, that's a lot of stuff for free!

I wasn't expecting much when we went to our room on the 3rd floor.  The hallway smelled bad, like smoke, and I was worried our room would too.  The room was specifically non smoking, and it didn't smell like smoke...it smelled SUPER musty.  I called the front desk and they immediately said they would change our room.  Down to the 2nd floor, the hallway smelled a little better, but the room was completely different!  No smell, and set up differently and more spacious.

The room itself had a king size bed, a desk with computer, a dresser with the 48" TV on top of it, and 2 single person chairs.  The bathroom was very small, but okay.  The shower was spacious as they installed one of those bars that bend outward making the shower seem larger.

The breakfast in the morning was a lot better than a regular continental breakfast.  They had a waffle maker, grits, eggs, bacon, sausage gravy and biscuits, cereal, all types of juice and coffees, and fruit.  It was a nice selection.  They also had a lot of tables to accommodate everyone.

I would definitely stay at this hotel again if I ever am back in Statesboro!

This place isn't bad. Highlights: seemed fairly clean, free shuttle to downtown Savannah that runs every two hours or so, waffle station at free breakfast! Our room was a little worn down but was spacious. The fitness center has one treadmill, elliptical, and stationary bike. Our room overlooked the pool which seemed decent. Staff was friendly and accommodating. Overall, saved money and enjoyed a night in Savannah.

Great for what it is. A fairly new and CLEAN hotel. For the price, not sure it can be beat. It is right off the freeway, but we don't plan to be in our hotel room much. For the money we saved by not staying in Savannah, we decided it was worth the drive in everyday of our stay. We'll use the $100 we saved daily at restaurants, coffee shops, shopping, etc. Did I mention it's clean and I'm not grossed out?

This is our second year staying @ the Baymont. We make an annual trip to Savannah and I must say. I'd rather stay here than many other fancy hotels around. Extremely clean, friendly staff, and very accommodating. We will be coming here on our third, fourth, fifth trip and so on... to Savannah. Thanks for being clean and gracious on our trips. We will be back.

Had a pleasant visit the Wednesday, Friday, and Thursday of Thanksgiving. The room was affordable, and spacious. The only problem I had, was being able to "hear" my neighbors having "relations" at 2am. But this was resolved quickly when I went to the front desk and let Jordan know and expeditiously moved us to the 3rd floor. Only difference was it was a 2queen room, but no problem. All in all, met expectations, and I would stay again. Couldn't comment on the breakfast because we went to Denny's for breakfast both mornings.

Really an excellent place to stay. We stayed in a 2nd floor suite which was very spacious, very quiet, and not too far away (12 miles) from historic district.  Price was a extremely reasonable for 2 senior adults.

When we checked in I was chastised for giving him my home phone number instead of my cell phone number, in case I might want to come back for any items left behind. Guess they don't mail.
I want to say right here that our room looked nothing like the ones shown on their website. The bed was shoved into a corner, no spread or duvet or foot spread just a sheet  with pillows sitting on top at the head board.  A sofa was pushed against the wall with a small table in front of it. Across the room was the desk & chair then there was an area about 8X8 with nothing, not sure what that was for. The air-conditioner was all beat-up with the door hanging, the night lock on the door was broken but the worst part was the smell! I'm not sure if it was cleaner or what but I wasn't able to take it for very long, my throat felt like it was closing up & all I could do was cough. When my husband tried to get us another room they only had rooms on the ground floor, we declined because we didn't want to hear someone stomping overhead all night.
I'm happy there have been other that have had a better experience then us. We WILL NOT be returning to this place. Had to pay for 1 night but I was OK to pay that & not stay!

Paid 150 a night and found a massive hairball in the bathtub. I wish I had something good to say.

Stayed here September last year and really enjoyed it.

The positives - Check in staff were very polite and helpful.
    Room was really clean.
Bed was very comfortable and slept very well.
Had a microwave and fridge and a 48" LCD TV.
WIFI worked just fine, no problems with connecting or connection speed.
Was nice and quite but not sure if that was just do to there not being many other guests at the time we stayed.
Location is good. While it is about a 30 minute drive into Savannah, I chose this location for that reason. So we would not get stuck in downtown traffic, plus it is in a good location to visit other area attractions.
Nice gym, it is small but that is why I like it, no one else in there!
The breakfast room is nice and clean and the food is good but if you are looking for a bigger selection or have a large appetite, then there is a good IHOP just down the road.
There is a Sonic across the street! oh yeah!!

    The Negatives -
Honestly, I can not really think of any and I would be the first to say, if my experience was not to my liking.
I had a good stay here and out of all the hotels I stayed at during my traveling vacation last year, I have to say hands down, this was the nicest and will stay here again when I next plan to visit Savannah.
