Outside looks a bit dated and it has exterior "hallways" but the interior seems recently renovated. Clean, decent, up to date room. Ac was a bit funky... Made the room feel damp. Loud noise around 9 or 10 pm that freaked me an my husband out. I think it was a plane. Didn't expect that. Good free breakfast... Biscuits and gravy, delicious belgium waffles (make em yourself in the waffle iron), variety of cold cereals, oatmeal, fresh fruits, juices, coffee, some other baked goods, yogurt, Jimmy dean microwaveable sandwiches. Friendly staff. Check out is at 12.

Great hotel for the money. Breakfast was awesome and they didn't take it all away early like most hotels. They let us move in 4 hours early too. Very clean & safe. Easy to get to downtown Savannah.

This is a great secret.  This facility is not an ordinary Fairfield Inn.  It is better.  Spent 3 nights due to business.  It is an easy tide to the historic district, less than 10 minutes and don't forget Tybee Beach.  Outdoor pool, several exercise machines, but hey, just use the stairs.  Very secure.  Clean,  how about spotless and shinning.  From the minute I checked in every one was helpful, delightful, and very conversational.  If you forget you laptop/tablet, don't worry the lobby has a PC, and the hotel is wi-fi.  Need to fax, they handle it at no charge.  ManAger offered to scan the documents and email to me in a PDF.  That was a big, WOW moment.  Not to mention, one block was a LOFT clothing store, Fresh Market, Publix, ABC, Five Guys, Bonefish Grill, and more.  Here is the best part, they had customer appreciation night and grilled hamburgers and hotdogs, with the fixings and potato salad and fruit salad. Breakfast was expanded.

We booked here because over the Memorial Day weekend 2011 the downtown hotels were all booked solid. we had a two-night stay here.

First, I have to say the staff are courteous, and the continental breakfast good. Also, their laundry room is conveniently located on the second floor and is very clean. The parking space are plentiful, unlike the downtown hotels.

However, its WiFi Internet did not work! To me, that ruined the stay. I told the staff twice that either their server is down or the signals so weak that I could not access the Internet, but no one seemed to work on this issue. I had no problem logging on to the Hilton affiliated hotel WiFi down the road (hhonors network), but since I wasn't staying there I could not use it.  

In the night of the second day the WiFi finally worked,  but it was spotty at best, requiring constant reloads. I took my laptop to the lobby and it was the same. I might add that my Acer laptop has a very sensitive WiFi detection unit and it can ferret out even the weakest signals. It was worse than the days of the dial-up connection! I gave up at the end, and relied on my iPhone's 3G to get on the Internet. (By the way, they do have a wired computer in the lobby for the guests, but it was occupied most of the time)

I suppose the motel is OK if you don't need the Internet, but if you do, go somewhere else.

I stay here on my way between Boston and Orlando during the winter and it is my favorite overnight stop. Everyone who works here is extremely nice and welcoming and the rooms and areas around the hotel are very clean and comfortable.

I never wake up in time to get the free breakfast, but I'm usually lucky enough to be in my room when they come by with the free snack cart in the early evening. You can also grab a free bottled water from the front desk whenever you feel like it.

If security is a concern, ask for a room on the second or third floor. While the first floor is open to the parking lot, the second and third floor are both accessible by elevator only and you need your keycard to use the elevator.

This is also a great location for visiting Savannah as you are only about a 10 minutes drive from the historic district.

Booked this hotel because of a Groupon offer.  I checked the hotel online before I purchased the coupon.  The pictures depict a nice and very clean hotel.  After driving for 12 hours, I wanted to cry when I saw this place.  There was a sign on the door letting us know that they place was being renovated and they apologized for the current condition.  The gentleman who checked me in was very friendly and incredibly courteous.  Since the lobby looked (somewhat....the chair at the computer desk had lovely electrical tape on the arm rest) like the pictures on the website I thought, "Okay, no problem.  This is going to be fine."  WRONG!
My sister and niece went up to the room before me while I parked the car. When I came into the room they were both just standing there looking a little freaked out.  My sister told me not to worry and that it was going to be okay because we were just spending the night and leaving first thing in the morning.  The first thing you notice is the heavy smell of damp/mold. The room looked nothing like the pictures on the website.  I mean NOTHING.  The carpet was dirty, the shower liner was moldy and also covered in soap scum, there was hair in the tub and floor and the bed skirts were really wrinkled and the bottoms were completely frayed.  

I called the front desk and the gentleman was very apologetic and immediately offered to move us.  He even went to check the room himself before he had us move.  While this room looked a little cleaner and the damp smell not as heavy, it was only a fraction of an improvement overall.  The room also did not have fridge like the first one did.  What it did have was one big honking dehumidifier that sounded like a
dying animal when we turned it on.  
I tried to find another hotel, but it was past midnight and unless we drove another two hours we were out of luck.  So we sucked it up and spent the night.  
I'm not sure when this hotel went from (according to the other reviews) clean to filthy, but I just can't wrap my head around the odd disconnect between the very friendly front end staff and the rest of the employees.  Clearly, some don't give a what when it comes to having pride in their work or what they are offering for services or accommodations.

We found this hotel in a discount book we picked up traveling through SC. We called while traveling and made the reservation confirming the discount price with a helpful employee.  We arrived to meet a friendly and efficient front desk employee.  The price was what was advertised and confirmed by phone.  The hotel even smelled clean and was pleasantly decorated.  We were pleased with our room.  The hotel was very convenient to the expressway, Starbucks and Cracker Barrel.

The only thing I would add is there was no blanket in the room.

We stayed here for one night when we came into town to see the sights of Savannah.  First of all, this place is a screaming deal for one night.  For $75/night plus tax, we had a room on the third floor with a small fridge and microwave and a smallish bathroom as well as a king size bed (no closet).  Second, for what it is, the place is clean and quiet and the staff is very nice.  We had a continental breakfast, which was typically average fare (cereal, hard boiled eggs, toast, yogurt, make your own waffles and biscuits with gravy), and it was tasty.  I would recommend this to anyone who wants to stay in a quiet place outside of town.

This is basically a motel with free coffee and breakfast.  So if that is what your looking for them this place is fine but if your looking for a marriott hotel then you will be disappointed. Linens were clean.  Bathrooms are tiny.  the sink is in the same room as the beds.

It's definitely not the nicest place to stay in Savannah & it's a bit far from the historic parts of town, but it's affordable and clean. If we're in Savannah again for the weekend, we'll definitely consider it just because it's affordable, not too far from uptown, and centrally located if you're trying to get to Wilmington Island or Tybee.

Basically, they publish great coupons and refuse to honor them, even if customers comply with absolutely all stipulations on the coupons.  So, this place is a total scam.

I purchased a groupon for this location.  According to all published information, the groupon was valid on the date I wanted to stay, and I was reserving the room prior to the expiration date.

When I called the hotel, they told me that I could only stay for full price on that date, the groupon would not be valid.  This brought the rate from $69 to $125.  They claimed this was because too many people had tried to use a groupon that weekend (but rooms were available, mind you!).  There was absolutely no information about such a possible situation in the groupon.  

Next, I called corporate headquarters for Fairfield.  They informed me that the local hotel could refuse accept the groupon at their discretion at any time.  Also the groupon would not be accepted during a single weekend in the entire month that I wanted to travel.  At their "discretion" meant that the groupon was absolutely never valid.  Luckily groupon was able to reimburse me.

I would never stay at this place because they publish coupons that that don't mean to accept.

Visited Savannah for less than 24 hours. Arrived on a Sunday after 1pm and  left the next day after 10:30am. Very short visit. Hotel looked outdated from the outside but okay looking inside.  The rooms were fine for what you pay for. I like that they have makeup remover towelettes for the ladies. Wasn't a being fan of the hotel soap. Had a funny smell to it. The free breakfast was okay too. Wish they had more healthier options.

This is a hotel wanting to be a Marriott.  The breakfast was horrible.  The room was extremely small a first for me in a Marriott.  The bathroom was terrible the toilet was so low to the ground that we thought it was a child's training toilet. The shower curtain smelled awful. The mattress cover had stains on it. I will never stay there again!!!

This hotel has much to improve! The bathroom was gross! The toilet seat was the wrong size so it was like sitting on bricks! Solid water stains throughout the tub, spotty linen, and incompetent staff! I prepaid through cheap tix and they charged my card again! I have had to call three times to get these charges reversed! This place has seen the last of me!!

Had a very short stay here last week.  Checked in late (around 11:30) and was expecting the typical Night Auditor check-in.  The process was quick but the woman was very nice and friendly enough for the hour.

The set-up is strange.  Floors one and two have exterior corridors.  The third floor has interior corridors.  We had a third floor room.  The room was standard with the bathroom being a bit small.  Or at least it felt that way because there was very little counter space.

Our ceiling looked like it had been patched multiple times which doesn't all give the best impression on a rainy evening.  My roommate didn't feel like her shirts were clean.

Breakfast was available right on time at 6:30 the next morning.  Plenty of good offerings including waffles and biscuits and gravy.  We ate and hit the road again.

Overall a quick stay.  In general I would say everything was A-OK but it wouldn't be my first choice if I were to return to Savannah.

Recently, we stayed at Fairfield Inn in Chattanooga and was so pleased we thought we would stay again after finding a great rate deal.

First  of all access to the rooms is exterior and upon arrival their are a group of people  hanging about out outside. ok not a big deal.

Entering the lobby you have to squeeze into a glass enclose next to the elevator ummm AWKWARD! During the remodel I hope the address this!

Check in staff were cordial at best and to  give them the benefit of the doubt they were extremely busy.  Wait, we are in the South where southern hospitality is suppose to reign supreme right?
 
Room checked in and off we go back to squeeze into the little space to use the elevator to go upstairs to our room.

The room is clean this is good!

Time to sleep.

Sleep? No Way... people running up and down and you can hear every sound there is no sound proofing in this hotel. It would be better sold to a Motel 6 that have Marriot on their name.

I  have not finished.. Its Breakfast Buffet time... again its extremely busy and they have a very small seating area... and not enough places for the crowd to seat. The staff which are barely visible must be having a horrendous time in the kitchen  because the food is not stocked to keep up with the demand,

Not the Fault of the hotel by any means I witnessed people picking things up and replacing them to which I then took them and threw said items away! Seriously! People don't handle things at a Buffett! Gross!!! Not even  the plates or cutlery  if you do use it or toss it! Read this if you want more on that topic

Lastly the coffee or should I say water... We brought Starbucks Via with us knowing that the coffee would not be great and Via would be a good alternative. however either the creamer or the water was very off!!! Leaving our Vias non-drinkable!
they had the funkiest taste we determined it had to be the water because  The Man did not use creamer!

We have stayed at far worse, however we will not return to this hotel, and will seriously reconsider staying at other Fairfield Inns.

FYI We are Frequent Marriott guests.
I just visited trip advisor and saw management had responded to many months of positive reviews but not negative.
This earns them -1 star for LOUSY CUSTOMER SERVICE in social media forums.

We stayed here over St. Patty's Day weekend and spent 15,000 points a night for Friday and Saturday, a much cheaper option than staying downtown for $350-450/night. Considering this is basically a motel, there isn't too much I can complain about. The room was clean, the ladies working at reception were incredibly helpful, the breakfast wasn't too bad, the wifi was free, and housekeeping didn't wake us up.

The location isn't great, but shuttles and taxis will take you downtown for $10/person. That was the rate over St. Patty's Day weekend though so they may be cheaper under normal circumstances.
