To begin this review, I'll say, if I could give this hotel zero stars, I would. They certainly do not deserve the one star I'm required to give.

We got to our room around 3:30am, and the comforters and blankets on both beds were filthy. There were multiple stains on everything. We went to the front desk to complain, and were given a set of keys to a new room. We pack all of our belongings, go to the new room, and the blankets are pulled back and unmade as if people had already been in the bed. We left that room and went back to our initial room. We then went back to the front desk  and complained again, and were given another set of keys for another room. We went to check this room out, and my friend tried to open the door but the latch was on it, meaning this room was occupied. A man came running out in his underwear after we ran away back to our room. This was highly ridiculous, embarrassing and a hazard.

After this incident, we decided to go back to the front desk. The man whose room we barged into, was at the front desk fully clothed, wondering what was going on (it was around 4:00am). He asked us why we ran, and claimed that he was "packing." He lifted his shirt and showed us a gun in his waistline. Being that it was in the middle of the night, and someone was trying to barge into his room, I completely understand his need for security. The woman working at the front desk said it was her first night working there, and she was a new employee. This too was ridiculous being that she was left to fend for this hotel, all by herself.

We got fed up talking to her about the situation, because she was 'new' and not at fault. But decided to speak with management the next day. We left and went back to our room, stayed there for that one night only and left the next morning. We also got a refund.

I'm laying in the bed at Guesthouse now...which is fairly hard (hopefully yiu like firm beds).  Other than that, the experience has been good.  It's just the typical hotel.   They do have waffles for breakfast, which I enjoy.  It was also cheap (only $85 including tax for a Friday night).  It's not far from the historic district...about a 10 minute drive to Forsyth Park.

I would definitely recommend if you come to Savannah on a weekend when the cheapest hotel downtown is over $200...
