Well the room was quiet and location is great BUT was there for a swim meet. We leave Early - 5:30am so when I awoke to no running water at 4:45am I was told there had been a leak and the water would b back on at 5:15. Hmmm- 3 people hot muggy Savannah needing to showering in 15min. Well- 5:15- no water. 5:20 a trickle to brush teeth but no shower pressure. I asked to have my bill adjusted- I was offered 2 free breakfast. Hmmmm NO. The staff was nice- the managers were rude acted like I was off base to request an adjusted bill for $200 a night stay. ( yes- I booked late a crazily paid to much!!!) I left with no adjustment  but was emailed by front office manager with a sorry and a here's a lane room discount! I'm tired of discussing it- clearly they win this way. My friends keep asking why I stay at Hilton's- we constantly have issues. Oddly usually involving water! Well guess I will finally move over to Marriott !

They were not full, but still put me on the second floor next to the ice machine and elevator (HH member, no discount, put in the worst room in the place).  Avoid.  You can do better in Savannah.

Great so far! Limited parking but nice staff! We went in May, and we had access to their outdoor pool as well as the indoor pool in the hotel behind theirs.

The staff was friendly and genuine, the entire hotel smelled fresh, the atmosphere encompasses everything someone could enjoy. The location is a little distant from downtown, but the price:location ratio is one of the best anyone can find!

    Problems:
*Toilet paper was dispensed from a jury-rigged contraption underneath the sink. It took me a few minutes to find it.
*Channel-changer had many sticky buttons, obviously not regularly maintained.
*Interior door handle was pivoted 90 degrees, angled downward. Very awkward.
*The ice machines on the bottom few floors did not dispense ice our entire weekend.

    Likes:
*Staff was friendly & happy to assist with anything.
*Refreshment hutch was unique and well-stocked by housekeeping.
*Concierge provide valuable advice on hot-spots & transportation.

When we return to Savannah, the Hilton Garden Inn Midtown is a definite choice to stay at!

Nice hotel, good location. I come to Savannah somewhat regularly and have been making the rounds to different hotels. This location is good, especially if you aren't looking to be downtown. It is within walking distance of a Publix and some other shops/restaurants. We opted for a king bed and whirlpool tub, which were well worth the extra money. The room was clean and nice. The hotel staff was very friendly and even called prior to check in to verify what time we'd be arriving, etc. The hotel was very full while we were there due to Georgia Southern's graduation, and we didn't get a lot of noise or anything. Wi-Fi's free, but our connection on the 5th floors was a bit spotty. There is also a pool, fitness center, business center, and a bar/room service.
The parking isn't very good. When the hotel is full, as it was this weekend, there aren't enough spaces and you have to park at the Hampton Inn's garage next door. It's not terribly far, but annoying enough. Also, the elevators were a bit slow. They really need a service elevator, and people need to stop being so darn lazy and taking the elevator down 1 floor!! Talk about "this is why you're fat!"

Came here on a business trip paid for the company.  Nice and clean operation, very friendly and professional front desk, Ty at the desk when I picked up my electronic key.

Good room with comfy room and bed.  Only drawback was some hair in the sink.  This is not the end of the world, but something that should not happen at a Hilton property.

Free wi fi if you are a Hilton member, which I am.  But system blocked hbogo.

we were hear at new year's. We have small children so had to come back from town early. The bar was closed. Poor show, but forgivable on New Year's Eve. But the next night, the bar closed early too. Good job I'm not an alcoholic. Come on Hilton. Either have a bar or not, but don't slum off early (8:30).

In town for business. Stay at Hilton properties a lot (HH-Diamond). Staff is friendly, room was clean, but I was next to the ice machine. Not what I expected for the status. Parking is very limited as are the TV channels.

Within it's class, it's a clean hotel that suits my needs,  that's why I gave it five stars.   You cannot compare it to a resort or a high-end hotel... Poor comparison.  I use it for business and always receive friendly service from desk staff and bartender. Rooms are always clean.  You can walk across the street for a restaurant or groceries... And Starbucks.  There's even a few stores for shopping next-door. This garden inn serves lunch and dinner, although I've never eaten here If you are visiting savannah, stop being cheap and go down town. This hotel is perfect for business travelers, overnight travelers. If you are a tourist, you would want more amenities. This has a decent hotel gym and a hot breakfast.  Pool is a typical lame outdoor pool within this class of hotel.

Booo!  I don't plan to ever stay here again!
I stay around 100 nights a year typically at HGI all around the country. Normally I am thoroughly pleased. Here in Savannah at the HGI midtown it started the same way. Nice lobby, friendly staff, clean elevator and room.  Super comfy bed. AC works great, big flat screen tv.
That's great because I travel with my ps3. I connected the hdmi cable, powered it all up and......hmm, how do I change the tv to HDMI? You can't, and the front desk wouldn't help.
I travel a lot and typically have 5 hours every evening to kill.  I play my ps3 or xbox. If I can't do that I will stay elsewhere. I can't think of any reason why a hotel would deny me access to this. They're not losing any money. Nobody is going to watch 5 hours of pay tv every night.

I'm upset and disappointed. I wish I could stay here and am pretty sure in the past this wasn't an issue.

Looked like a nice upscale place, but on arrival they told me they had overbooked, even tho I had a confirmation number! I had to stay around back at the Hampton which worked out fine with the grandkids.

They were completely booked on a Saturday night so we had to stay down the street. The rate did go down $20 for checking in on a Sunday rather than Saturday so take that into consideration.

The staff was nice for the most part but check-in isn't until 4pm and they will make that very clear.

The facilities are very clean. Nice look lobby and breakfast area but the meals cost ~$10/person.

The parking lot is SUPER small. We had to part about 100 yards away at the Hampton inn one night and the TV's audio didn't match the picture so we couldn't watch Tv.  Overall nice hotel but room for improvement.

Ok for under $100. Stayed during a business trip. Hotel is extremely clean with up to date rooms. Gym has free weights, a weight machine, and several treadmills, bikes, and ellipticals that are quite old. Nice looking bar and restaurant, but did not eat.
Quite, with comfortable beds, but internet is very slow. Frustrating when you have work to do. Would have given better ratings if 1. Breakfast was free 2. Internet was faster and 3. Gym updated

We booked this hotel to stay one night in savannah.  It was what you would expect out of a Hilton garden Inn for the most part.  The rooms are relatively updated and the lobby is nice.  It's not right in historic savannah but it's neat enough to be convenient. We had a room with 2 Queens and a pull out couch. The reason I'm giving it two stars has to do with pull out couch.  We pulled it out and it was horrible.  Not only could you feel every spring,  but you could also see stains on the mattress.  We decided to call the front desk and ask for extra blankets to make it more comfortable.  We could not get the front desk to answer and had to go down to the lobby to get help. They agreed to bring a roll away bed and extra blankets.  That seemed like a reasonable solution until we saw the roll away.  We put it down on the floor and it was covered in dark brown stains.  It was absolutely disgusting!  I posted a picture for you to see.  I wouldn't say never to stay here because the actual beds were fine and the room was generally clean,  but I would expect a Hilton hotel to replace a roll away with so many stains.  I'm a bit disappointed.

Super clean.  Check-in was a little slow but it was busy and the people in front of me were being super obnoxious.

I only stayed one night, as I was going to another hotel in the Historic District the rest of the weekend for a conference, and for $110 I was completely satisfied.  Bed was great, awesome water pressure in the shower, and the bar (although pricey) was nice.  Didn't eat there, walked across the street to Bonefish.

I'd prefer free breakfast but this seems to be getting more and more rare around Savannah.

The hotel was just okay. They do not have a free breakfast option, which is not shocking but they pester you about eating there anyway. My husband and I were placed in a handicap room where we could hear everything the people next to us were saying and doing, which grew extremely tedious. Also, no one told us about the adjustable bed, so I had to snoop around the mattress after coming to the conclusion that no bed should be so firm without some way to fix it. Overall, I'm unimpressed.

Originally planned to stay at the Hampton Inn (100 feet away), but I had made the mistake of not reserving a room the day before at that price, and the price had shot up to $180.00 for one night by the time I showed up.  ---  So I walked 100 feet over to the Hilton Garden Inn and they had rooms avail for closer to 80.00 :-)

Standard Hilton Garden inn with the nice lobby, free breakfast, and updated rooms.  For under 100, cannot go wrong!  ((I mean you could pay a little bit less for a non-chain discount hotel in Savannah, but then you might be walking into the bathroom and find that 6 or 7 of your small uninvited 'friends' are having a little party in there!))

So yep, do the Hilton Garden Inn.  Great Hotel at a Great Price!
