I stayed here under unusual circumstances; a friend's brother lives here for work, and has an extended stay suite at this hotel, which he lives in during the week. Weekends he heads back to his place in Buckhead, and is generous enough to allow his sister & friends free use of the suite. The housekeeping service was great, it might have been just that we were and weren't there at the right times, but I never saw them once, and never had to ask for anything. there were clean towels every time I went to shower, and every time I came back to the room it had been tidied. the king bed was soooo comfortable, and the free breakfast in the morning was pretty good. The room was very clean and comfortable, had a little kitchenette, and a very large bathroom. 2 flat screen tv's...I have no idea how much it would cost to stay here, but if I plan another trip to savannah, I'll definitely check it out, having had a good experience. It seemed to be within close driving distance to everything we wanted to do, as well.

One of the worst hotel stays I've ever had. It was such a disappointment that this Homewood Suites ruined my rosey view of previous Homewood stays. There were so many things wrong with our room that the staff provided a free room upgrade, but the 2nd room had most of the same problems --- clue phone that this is a junk hotel.  Here's the shortlist of issues:  water stains all over the ceiling of all rooms, black mold / mildew on windows and ac vents, sticky bathroom and kitchen floors, dirty room -- breakfast cereal on floor upon check-in, dirty glasses, dirty bathtub, chipped paint and dirty doorframes, very loose safety latch on main door, dirty light switches....etc. And yet, they want to bill at $125 a night! Real shocker that this location gets the Hilton seal or AAA rating. Not the best neighborhood either.

We decided to go to Savannah the Tuesday before 4th of July so needless to say, hotels were filled up. Homewood Suites had a vacancy and since it's Hilton figured it would be ok. Plus, since we have a toddler who goes to bed before us, the idea of having a suite was nice.

The place was mostly updated. I say mostly because the cabinets in the kitchenette should have been replaced as should the dishwasher and microwave. They looked really dated. There was also a big space where something used to be (maybe an oven) and you could see where the sink had caused water damage at some point. Overall, the room was fine. It was clean and comfortable.

The pool was perfect. Clean and maintained. What more could you ask for?

The breakfast was disappointing. I tried to eat eggs both mornings we were there (first as an omlette and then as scrambled) but they were kind of cold and gross. The hash browns were gross. How do you mess that up? I opted for a waffle because you could make them yourself.

Overall, it was fine. Nothing to write home about but not bad especially for a last minute trip on a major holiday.

Ok. Long hall way walks.  Smells of slight mildew and quite a few smokers.
Not many other options in this area that are better.

Nice property.  Great breakfast and dinner.  The beds are very uncomfortable.  We ended up leaving early to get a better hotel.

Very clean nice set up. Flat screen in front room as well as bedroom!! Perfect for hub and I cause we watch different stuff on tv. Full kitchen if you wanna cook in. Plenty of parking...a close drive to gas stations and fast food grub! Very cozy...im loving my getaway.

Well the walls are super thin. I can hear every word the couple next door is saying to one another. And now it's 2am and it's keeping me up.

The amenities here are really nice, and the beds are comfortable. I will however say, that part of the reason we booked here was because of the hot tub, and it broke just before we got here, and won't be repaired until after we leave. It's kind of an odd set up getting to your room, where the rooms aren't really connected to the lobby of the hotel, rather like separate buildings, with access doors on the ends. But I digress.... Did I say the hot tub was broke & it's going to take like a week to fix? I know this is the south, but man, is the part coming on a ship from china?

Let's keep it to the point!

The room was clean. The location was convenient, as I had no trouble getting to any of the places in Savannah that I wanted to see.

The only big downside was that my room faced the road and, unfortunately, I could hear all the traffic passing by (even though I wasn't on the ground floor). Definitely not my ideal, since I'm a light sleeper.

If I'd had a room that didn't face the road, I think it would've been almost perfect.

WOW!!!! What a horrifying and unfortunate experience. I typically go out of my way to stay at Homewood Suites properties. I went out of my way this time & what a mistake!!!

The hotel is fragmented into small buildings. All outdoor entrances & no elevators. The room was okay. Nothing major to complain about. It was the service or lack of that was downright awful. We were booked for 2 nights. After our first night, we left early to explore savannah. Upon our return later in the evening, we found the maid had been there but only made the bed. No clean towels. No replacement of coffee. The coffee pot wasn't cleaned. The garbage was taken out but no new bags in place. Old dirty glasses were still there. Basically the maid did nothing. We went to the front desk to complain & request the items were didn't have. A woman was also at the front desk. She had been there for 3 days & her room was never cleaned. Hey folks, this is hotel 101.

Our first morning there was Christmas morning. We went to have the free breakfast. On Christmas morning they served tater tots & egg mc muffins. It was Christmas morning.  Maybe the food could have been stepped up for the holiday??

Overall it was a bad experience & somewhere we would never stay again. There are 4-5 other chain hotels right nearby. If you need to stay in that location, do yourself a favor & try one of those.

My boyfriend and I loved staying here! We stayed on a Thursday night, then the following Friday night. On Thursday night, they served complimentary dinner and the food was pretty good. Much better than I would expect from a free driver from a hotel. And they serve dinner Monday through Thursday. I had never known a hotel to do that, so it was a pleasant surprise.

Our room was another wonderful surprise. It was clean and very spacious. There were actually two separate rooms. The first room was a living room space with a mini kitchen. The kitchen included a fridge (with a freezer and ice maker), a stove, dishwasher, microwave, and utensils. On top of all that, there was a totally separate bedroom! The bed was comfortable, there was a tv in the bedroom and living room, and the bathroom was broken up into two sections. Long story short, there was a ton of space!

The staff was very friendly and helpful. I had added the second night after I booked the first night, so I ended up with two separate reservations. I talked to the staff and asked if we could stay in the same room both nights, and they took care of it. They really helped make staying here a pleasant experience. I would love to come back again!

This hotel gets 5 stars for their staff. Very friendly, helpful and just pleasant to be around.

The hotel is very nice and clean. There is a main building with 3 floors in typical hotel style. Then a couple other buildings that have "pods" of rooms. If you don't like having an outside door ask to stay in building one.

The rooms have a microwave, full refrigerator, and two stove top burners. There are also a couple grills outside you can cook on.

There is a basketball/tennis court, a pool and a hot tub.

The location is great - walking distance to grocery store (fresh market and publix!), Gigi's cupcakes, five guys and bonefish grill.

It's also about a 10 min drive into the historic downtown savannah.

And of course you have to love the free breakfast. Make your own waffles, eggs, breakfast meat, cereal, yogurt, etc. Weeknights they serve dinner.
