The room was big and clean. I was allowed to bring my pet for no extra fee. I was very happy with the room and the employees here are very nice and polite. If i ever go to Savannah again I will be staying here again for sure. The free breakfast is decent the food isn't stale or anything I was very happy as was my fiancee.

It certainly isn't the nicest place you could stay in Savannah, but I imagine there are places that are also a lot worse (I'm not sure how much of a compliment this is).

Overall, it isn't a horrible hotel. Fast food and the mall are somewhat nearby, and for a lower-end hotel, the rooms are decently bright and clean.

Probably the only uncomfortable moments I had while here were the dealings with the front desk employees: very unprofessional both in appearance and demeanor. One of them also misquoted the amount for a taxi ride into town, and didn't verify that amount when calling the cab for us.

If money isn't your #1 objective, I'd steer clear and find somewhere else.

La Quinta was a godsend.  We were traveling with a dog and staying at a rather expensive hotel that we didn't much like because they were charging a lot, gouging even, because of our dog.  When we decided to extend our vacation another week I was able to book rooms in several states with ease and within minutes, and with our dog!  They don't care what kind of dog you have, how big it is, or anything.  It's a breeze, and we were very grateful to La Quinta for making our bookings and our stays so easy.

The WiFi appears to be slow at every La Quinta especially when people get on there all at once at night and stream movies and stuff, so we brought MiFi which I guess uses cell towers and that supplemented our Internet needs for when La Quinta's WiFi was slow.  It's not La Quinta's fault though.  Some people are just bandwith hogs.  

It's also very nice that they have a washer/dryer in the hotel and are reasonably priced at $2.00 a load each to wash and to dry.  The Savannah La Quinta was located on a major strip where lots of restaurants like the Waffle House and stores like Target and Best Buy are, so it was very convenient.  The beds were super soft, like a cloud you sink into.  I think it was a pillow top, and after staying at another hotel where the sheets were so dirty I had to sleep on the couch, the La Quinta was like heaven.  I don't think I ever slept so well in all my life as on that La Quinta pillow top...ZZZZZZZZ

I stayed here for a little over a week while I was in town visiting my fiance.  We checked in late at night after my flight arrived; the process was quick and the desk agent was kind and helpful--very appreciated after almost ten hours of traveling!

Breakfast was pretty basic: cereal, oatmeal, fruit, waffles, muffins, bagels, and hard-boiled eggs. The hotel is located on a main street, which is very convenient. Two malls are nearby, as well as many restaurants. HAAF is also short drive away. The hotel is in a safe area. There is a large selection of pamphlets available in the lobby if you're interested in local flavors, historic tours, or other sights. There is an outdoor pool but we didn't use it, seeing as how it's February.

Other than check-in and check-out, we didn't have any contact with the front desk staff. The cleaning staff were thorough and polite. During the mornings when my fiance had to work and I stayed at the room, I placed the Do Not Disturb sign on the door and it was respected. The bed and pillows were comfortable, the room was clean and welcoming. They recently remodeled but I think it was more of a cosmetic thing: new paint job, furniture, wall art. I think they should consider updating the bathroom fixtures; you have to pull on the shower handle to start the water, and by "pull," I mean put everything you've got into it! I was afraid I was going to break the handle, it was so stubborn. The shower pressure is also on the weak side but it got the job done.

Overall, the hotel met our needs and we enjoyed our stay. We didn't have any problems with the staff or other guests and we always felt safe. I'd recommend it to others.

We booked our room over the phone last minute. We thought we booked the last nonsmoking king room for a decent rate, definitely half the rate of the downtown hotels. When we arrived the next evening, Jennifer, the front desk clerk informed us that the only king room left was a smoking room, and that she had upgraded us to an executive king suite. She was the same one who we had spoken to when making our reservation and was a pleasure to deal with both times! She also recommended bars and restaurants downtown, and recommended an excellent cab.
Our room faced Abercorn Street, which is a busy, divided highway, with many stores and restaurants. Despite this, we were never bothered by noise from the street.
The room itself was decent. It's what I would expect for this type of hotel. The mattress was comfortable. The comforter was nicer than it expected; it was in a duvet. Everything was clean.
We experienced great service form all staff. This place is an EXCELLENT VALUE. We also brought our 9-month-old lab mix. This was the only hotel we found that does not charge a pet fee, which was something like $10 per night additional. There was plenty of space in our room to set up his kennel.  
This La Quinta is 5-6 miles from Savannah's downtown historic distinct. It's an easy, straight-shot drive. There is another La Quinta maybe 1-2 miles closer to the historic district. While I cannot comment on that location, I will say that we plan to book at this same location on our next visit.  It was just an all around good experience!

We have stayed at La Quinta's across the country. And although we are usually happy staying at La Quinta, we were not this time. We booked a  King and received a Queen. The room was dirty and the couch, chairs and carpet were dirty with stains. Although, the staff were friendly and professional we checked out after only one night and sought reservations elsewhere.

Thank you, Thank You Jennifer Watson. I often travel with my two dogs so because of their fabulous pet poli y I stay at La Quinta hotels every time I travel. Any time I have had the slightest issue it is normally handled efficiently and to my satisfaction.

On this trip I was running very late do I had called the property out of courtesy to let them know that we were still coming and to be sure that the role away bed that we required was in the room. I was told that I had not made the request when making the reservation. This was not true and we confirmed the day before. There was a lot of back and forth, and bring told that my 22 year old son could sleep with my.wife and I because the "king bed was pretty big". In the end after about an hour we had to stsy becayse we could not find comparable accomodations. My son wiuld get a  bunch of blankets and sleep on the floor.

Being an Elite Returns member I asked if sime confessions could be made to whitch she replied. "Well you only paid 30.00.  I was not happy.

Upon check out I had the oppurtunity to speak with Jennifer Watson and she asked how my stay was and I told her. She was shocked, and immediately apologized. She was awesome. She immediately offered to refund us the points that we used for one nights stay. I am very appreciative of this.

Tried checking in here using clc (corporate lodging, a discount direct bill card).  I was told they don't accept it at that property but I should travel a mile further to their other property where they do accept it.  Now, why would I stay at a secondary property after having been turned away from the first?!  Sorry,  lost my business.   Your loss, Quality Inns gain.
Don't stay here, not accomidating to the working man.

We arrived late at night and the front desk attendant was nice and helpful.  The room was large and clean.  Very nice for the price that I paid online for the room.  The room definitely looks likee it has been renovated.

We didn't have any dealings with the cleaning staff.  Since we only stayed 2 nights, we got our own towels and put the "do not disturb" sign on the door.

Breakfast is typical of this price point of hotel.  Bagels, eggs, waffles etc (I posted a pic of it in the pic gallery)

The hotel is in a good location.  Close to the mall, HomeGoods!!! & not a far drive from downtown.

There is free WIFi here.  It was..ok...in and out at times but it served it's purpose.  You can't connect mobile deceives (iPhone, iPad) to it trhough.  I was only able to get my laptop connected.

Definitely stay at this local rather than the other  location down the road on the same street.  That one looks like it houses some shady characters.

I am very appalled at the condition that I found my room in after a long day out. Housekeeping DID NOT come to my room after we asked them to come back. She knocked on the door at 8:30 (we were sleep) and again at 9:00(we were showering and dressing).  The assumption was that she would come in while we're were gone. We left at 10:00 and returned at 6:45 to discover that the trash, towels, beds , everything was untouched. I called the front desk to complain and was told that it was my fault for sending housekeeping away those two times. They don't come back a third time and if the housekeeper assigned to my room is done, then that's it. No afternoon crew and no coming back to ensure each room is taken care of.  This is terribly nasty!!! I will NEVER settle for a LaQuinta room again in life!

Check in receptionist didn't speak clearly and acted confused.
The room was nice. The beds are a little on the soft side. The bathroom is a bad layout, half in the main room and half in the bathroom.
The breakfast was so so. They tried.

One of the better places we stayed on our recent road trip down south and will definitely stay here again upon a return visit to Savannah.

Room was very nice very clean and very spacious. Staff was very friendly and extremely helpful in showing us how to find the historic downtown Savannah area. We would recommend this place to anyone that is looking to be fairly close to downtown Savannah and not wanting to pay the very expensive hotel fees right in the downtown area.  This hotel is only about 7 miles from downtown right on Abercorn St. and a straight shot into the downtown area.   The free breakfast was good and of course the waffles are always the best part of the breakfast.  

Bathroom set up was kind of odd as the sink area is right at the front door but the rest of the room was very spacious and no complaints at all regarding the beds. We had a great night sleep.
