Basically you will get the same nights sleep for half the price of another hotel or inn in same location. Walking distance to most all attractions in the area. The outside looks a little rough/older but the inside seems to be semi updated. At around $70 for single queen I am very happy. The money I saved will be well spent at the local bars on River Street.

The only thing good about this place is it's location and front desk services.  It's old and just OK, but it's location is superb.  Right across from great shopping and restaurants and next door to the River St. shops.  If I went to Savannah again I'd probably stay here again.  I paid $134 but put this place outside of town and they couldn't get $50/ nite.

Checked in around 4pm to find the ac on low. Cranked it up and left for the evening. Came back 6 hours later to find the room extremely hot and the ac not really functioning (it was cooler outside). Called the front desk to be told that they would try to call the maintenance person but it was late. They had no other rooms so they gave us a box fan and said they would try to comp some of our bill. So we ended up sleeping in a hot room since we were paying $169 for the room. In the morning they reduced to rate to $100 saying it was all they could do. So we paid $100 to camp inside.

Other than the ac not working the room was okay and the location is good.

Me and my boyfriend checked into the hotel and right off the bat the air conditioning sucked. The room smelled terrible, like no one had opened a window in years. We decided to crank the ac up and go walk around savannah. We came back to the room, still hot but felt we would just deal with it. Go to get into bed and lift up the sheets to bed bugs. We complained to the front desk and he moved us to a different room. We walk in, the lights don't work, only the bathroom ones do. I lift up the mattress and there's little dead flies and food crumbs. This hotel is disgusting, beware. We demanded a refund and went to the best western across the street.

Good place to stay. Close to everything. Rooms are a little small but, clean. Nice staff.

We stayed at the Quality Inn in our recent trip to Savannah because it was a last minute decision to go and we are bring our little chihuahua with us.  Savannah is such a beautiful and dog friendly town, we just had to bring at least a dog with us when we go.  Anyways, our choices were limited (well, unless we want to spend an arm and a leg) and Quality Inn was very .... cost efficient.  The rate to the room was decent and the pet fee was a one time charge of $25.  I was at first, a bit hesitant, but reading reviews from various web site, many stated the hotel was clean and great location.  So we booked it.

The check in was really painless.  We brought our pup in because the hotel has a 20lb limit.  The staff took one look at our chihuahua and smiled.  We got a downstairs room.  The room was spacious and though the hotel could use a facelift and update their rooms, it was indeed clean.  The room also has a refrigerator, which was nice and convenient to put our drinks and keep them chilled.

We had a great time in Savannah, the location was very very convenient to River Street, but I doubt we'll go back again since my husband and I both didn't enjoy getting up early in the morning and still see a bunch of traffic on Bay Street.  We rather stay in the quieter neighborhood and take our dog for an early morning walk.  But for convenient location, good rate, a decent hotel room, this Quality Inn is "A-OK".

I booked a "secret" hotel in Savannah through Hot Wire and based on my economical preferences decided to choose the most affordable lodge with the best perks. For $94 + tax a night (Wednesday 4/24/13) in Savannah's historic district we thought this was a great bargain.

Walking distance to River Street (the tourist destination with a great bar scene)
Free parking
Free wifi with fast connection
Cable TV on the flat screen
Complimentary continental breakfast- included boxed cereal, boiled eggs, bread, scrambled egg patties, grits, orange juice and milk
Mini fridge and coffee maker in the room
Large shower head with multiple settings and good water pressure
Clean and comfortable beds

Extremely noisy at night and early morning
Hard to find wall plugs to charge all our gadgets

Overall, this inn was an excellent value. The prime location makes it ideal to travel during the day and the affordability allows a patron to take a few extra shots on River Street at night. I think it all works out to everyone's advantage :)

If you drive an SUV, the parking is going to get real tight, real fast.  But if you're driving a standard size car or smaller, you'll do just fine.  The rooms may or may not smell like smoke.  I think it depends on how well the prior guest followed the rules.  Security is decent.  They have a guard on the premises 24 hours and he patrols the area once every hour.

As far as proximity to all the attraction, this hotel is at the furthest end.  And that's why it's such a value, because it isn't centrally located.  Also, there aren't many amenities.  They offer a complimentary breakfast, but seating is very limited as are the offerings.  Also, there aren't many free wall outlets in the room, which, if you're a techno-geek, is very annoying.

The flat screen television is nice, but a little on the small side.

Again, the room may smell like smoke...
