The Iao Valley Inn was our favorite place we stayed during our 2 week honeymoon on 4 islands of Hawaii. We were on Maui for 3 nights and stayed in the Palms Room of the Iao Valley Inn. The owners, Bob and Tamara, were incredibly welcoming and friendly, but overbearing and were very respectful of our privacy. They maintained a great balance between leaving us be alone and providing lovely hospitality. Each morning, we were provided a delicious breakfast to eat outside on our private lanai. Breakfast included fresh fruit grown right in the Inn's garden (papaya, guava, passionfruit, banana, strawberry, starfruit) and coffee made from fresh coffee beans also grown on the property. There was also pastries, cereals, etc, definitely enough to keep you full till lunch! You could spend your entire vacation just exploring their property. You can see both mountains and the ocean from your lanai, and the property has gardens, orchards, a waterfall with a wading area, sheeps, roosters, dogs-- so much nature it was great! The inn is located very near the airport and cute restaurants and shops, but it is also not too far of a drive to anywhere in Maui- it's wonderfully centrally located. If I ever come back to Maui, I will most definitely stay here again!

The Iao valley inn was the most breathtaking misty magical little piece of heaven! Located quite centrally on Maui it really boasts all that you simply need. Luxury and privacy that nature and your gracious hosts will provide. Tamara and Bob were really so GREAT! We stayed in the Palms room which offers the most privacy, it is attached to the orchid room but is on the far end of the house. The bed in our room was one of the most comfortable beds ever!!!! I recommend spending a little time on their property if you can, don't just rush out for all of the attractions and activities so fast,,enjoy the land.(-:  It's really easy to melt into Island time at the Iao valley inn. Such a nice ending to our 2 week stay on the Island,, The biodiversity on Maui lets you experience a little of bit of everything luscious! Don't forget the Valley!!!!!!! You will not be disappointed! Perfect stay! Imacculate, adorably chic rooms and all the comforts on hand that really make your stay here unique!!!! LOVE!

The Iao Valley Inn is a wonderful place for your  Hawaiian get-away and relax.  For my wife and me,  the location was perfect.  The grounds are natural, fruit trees and Ioa Valley Creek provided us a wonderful location.  Sounds from the birds and Iao Valley Creek added to the atmosphere.  Stay at least four days.

The Iao Valley Inn is one of the best kept secrets on Maui! Not only is the price very reasonable (we paid $110 a night for the Orchid Room), it's very centrally located - so it's not a far drive to many of the main attractions on the island. This place is a little slice of paradise, very secluded - you really feel as if you're escaping into another world. It's so beautifully quiet, with the gentle sound of rushing water and native birds singing in the background. The ocean and mountains can be viewed from the room.. and the lush tropical surrounding, including a waterfall literally in the front yard, and beautiful tropical plants and fruit trees all over the property. The owners Bob and Tamara were so kind responding to our every request, and very hospitable. We borrowed coolers, beach towels, body boards, shoes (we have forgotten a pair of enclosed shoes for zip-lining) - they were so gracious about everything and gave us great advice about what to do on the island. The room itself was beautiful, recently renovated with hardwood floors, a beautiful vanity and claw foot tub, king sized bed, mini fridge, microwave etc. The room decor was very hawaiian and I loved that. Breakfast on the lanai in the mornings was delicious and the view was incredible! Do yourself a favor and stay here!! We stayed here for 5 nights and would go back in a heartbeat.
