    If zero was an option, that's what I would give this place.  I reserved my wedding room block here since it was near my reception.  I pre-arranged the shuttle.  I gave the hotel the address of the reception, yet the dropped off one group at another location at someone else's wedding!  (Since my guests were from out of town, they didn't know the difference.)  My guests called the hotel and they came back to get them.  That was fine as it was a simple mistake.  What really upset me was after the reception they took two shuttle loads back to the hotel and were supposed to come back for the third and last group (which included my husband and I.) When the shuttle driver didn't show up after a half hour, I called the hotel and the gentleman on the phone told me the shuttle driver had gone home for the evening!  He apologized and told me there was nothing he could do.  Needless to say, I reminded him of my contract and that I was promised a shuttle and he asked me to calm down as I shouldn't be getting upset with him!  Calm down?  It was my wedding night!  I realize it wasn't his fault, but it was his responsibility to solve the issue, which he at first was not willing to do since he told me "there is nothing I can do."   We sat there an hour before someone came to pick us up.   I understand that things don't always work out as expected, but as a business... if there's a problem, you need to try to solve it.  I would never recommed this place to anyone, especially anyone looking to have a wedding block!

    I recently stayed for a week in this property and have business in North brook over the next few months. It is an amazing value the lobby was great, from great coffee to a beverage and great breakfast set up, also, sofa area with a fireplace and plugs to charge your phone or iPad. Rooms and lobby all updated, coffee set up in room and the greatest staff so friendly and helpful. I have never written a review in my life but I felt I had to express my thanks to the people here. I will not stay anywhere else.

    to make sure that they would give the correct information in the future...assistant manager called me to settle my dispute... he told me that hotels dot com had sold me the room and that they were responsible for giving me the correct information.. so I told him that I was quoted 109 per room and the computer switch to to 119 a room.. he told me he would refund us the $40 to make me happy..
    he told me that he would call hotels dot com to make sure that they would honor their price..

    Well, it's cheap. But everything looks crappy and cheap. Bring flip-flops if you're planning on walking around in the room -- the carpet gave me a B-A-D feeling.
    The amenities bottles (shampoo, conditioner, lotion) were half- empty. The whole place feels creepy. Bed was comfortable, but with a single sheet and light coverlet. I was cold all night.

    The bathroom mirror was mounted to the wall and it was impossible to lean across the sink to get close enough to put on my make-up. There is not an ounce of provision for guests' comfort other than the coffeemaker.

    So-called continental breakfast was highly-processed muffins wrapped in plastic wrap -- obviously brought in from elsewhere, and more like over-sweet cake than a muffin.

    Very friendly staff. But the whole place is done as cheaply as possible.

    We booked a block of rooms for our wedding here over labor day weekend 2014. The rooms were about what we expected for the price, decent, nothing major to complain about. Our major was in regards to the shuttle that the hotel provided our guests with to and from our reception. We had a very similar experience to Aimee C in 2012.

    About a week before our wedding I spoke with Krystyne Jimenez, the sales manager there. We scheduled times for the shuttle drop off and pickup, two shuttles were to bring guest to the ceremony and there would be three shuttles to bring guests back. I had some concerns regarding the shuttles due to a large event at Ravinia the same night, however Krystyne assured me that there wouldn't be an issue and our wedding was a high priority for them.

    Well that couldn't have been further from the truth.

    The drop off shuttles worked fine to the best of my knowledge, however the pickup shuttles were a major issue. The bridal party as well as my wife and I were left stranded at the reception venue after the second shuttle (full) left, even though the driver assured us that they would make another trip to pick us up in approximately 10 minutes. About half an hour passed and repeated calls to the hotel went unanswered. After we eventually got ahold of someone were were informed that the shuttle driver was asleep. I am not making that up. That is the excuse we were given.

    Eventually another shuttle did arrive, only because a guest from one of the previous shuttles had lost her purse and convinced the front desk clerk to send a driver back to the venue with her.

    The next morning two of my groomsmen went to file a complaint with the hotel and spoke with Will at the front desk. Will took their complaints and was nice enough to flip them the bird as they turned around. This was witnessed by my aunt and parents as they were eating in the breakfast area as my groomsmen were filing their complaint.

    I would like to note they the gentlemen filing the complaint were frustrated, however they were not in any way rude or insulting to Will. Nothing warranted this blatant disrespect displayed by this hotel's staff.

    So in closing...do not book your wedding block at this hotel. It will be an issue. Also, fully expect rude treatment from the staff either to your face or when they think no one is watching.

    This place is a good solid hotel for the money. Is it filled with amenities, no. Is it's breakfast anything more than highly processed inexpensive pasties cereal etc. No. But it has a pool it is clean and it is one of the less expensive places in the area with good access to the highway.

    I had a very stressful full day of traveling and had a late check in, Angelina! was so amazing and helpful with checking in and figuring out my transportation for the next day making sure everything would be on time and go smoothly! She went way above and beyond what she really had to make me feel welcome and take a ton of stress off my back for next day. She is so great. Thanks Angelina! To me a bed is a bed but when the staff makes you feel welcome and are beyond helpful that is what makes my trip!

    On a side note.. The hotel is really nice! VERY clean and comfortable! They have Paul Mitchell products to use which is great and they serve Starbucks!

    I signed up just to leave this review because Angelina was so wonderful!
