My family and I stayed here over thanksgiving weekend. We needed two rooms and I wanted them side by side. They accommodated us with no problem. The location is convenient to I64 which was good for us. There is plenty in the way of food gas and shopping nearby. The hotel is nice. Not upscale but nice. The staff was friendly and helpful. The room and lobby were clean. I rarely stay in any hotel where I don't have a complaint about the cleanliness but this place was an exception. I was pleasantly surprised. It is true that the rooms are small and out dated. That was not a problem for us on this trip as we spent most of our time with family outside of the hotel. My only complaint is that the bed was not very comfortable which is a big part of staying in a hotel.  The breakfast was nice. All carbs but it was included with the cost of the room so who can complain? The cost is very affordable. We would definitely stay here again.

Disgusting. Old& tiny room. I didn't feel clean all week! The bed was so uncomfortable, I practically sunk in! The sheets, covers,& towels were so old and scratchy and I got a terrible rash! Ugh I can't wait to go home! Don't try to go house hunting last minute the week before Derby! Lesson learned for these Californians!

Not the most modern place I've ever stayed, but it was clean and comfortable.  The front desk staff was very helpful, we were in town for a funeral and they were able to get us a very low rate (about $50/night) which was much cheaper than the advertised rate.  They were very flexible with our length of stay since funeral plans were still being made when we checked in.  Points also for having and in room fridge and microwave plus free wi-fi.

I would stay here again when we visit family in Louisville.

Stayed here for a night while passing through louisville. It's about 10/15 minutes from the city. We got in about 2 am and there was 2 other people checking in at the time. We didn't have a reservation but they still had something available. We were able to get a room with 2 queens. Bed was a bit small for 2 adults so wish they would have had a king available. The bathroom was also pretty small and we took a shower but the water wasn't going down at all. Room was pretty clean and it seemed to be in a decent neighborhood. Happy we were only there for one night though.

This place is terrible. The fan for the heater didn't stay off for more than 10 minutes. It ran all night even though I kept turning it down. When I read their website it said they had an exercise room. It had three pieces of equipment but the room was off limits due to some issues with the room. The walls are so thin I heard the person in the next room sneeze. When I told the person at the front desk I didn't want to be next to the elevator because I was a light sleeper he put me right next to the elevator.  When I switch rooms he put me facing the highway. Talk about not sleeping! If you are totally desperate stay here if you can avoid staying here I would.

I love this hotel. My parents grew up in Kentucky and this is the hotel we have stayed at every time we visit easily over 15 years. The staff is always friendly and helpful the rooms always clean they also a good job keeping everything up to date.  The staff here has always been so kind to my family. The last several years we have been here more often than we like due to deaths in the family and I can't even explain how wonderful its been to know that when we come here we don't have to worry about anything.  Its in a great location as well close to interstate and lots of food and shopping. And the new beds they added in the last few years are like little clouds.

Trying to save a bit of cash, I chose the Baymont over my usual spot when I come to Louisville, the Courtyard Marriott next door.  I can see why this place is half the price of the Courtyard.

First, let me say the positives.  It's clean.  The bed is comfortable.  The shower/bathroom  works.  It's a room.

The internet is painfully slow, so not a great place to come if you're also trying to work.

It personally drives me crazy when there are no plugs next to the bed.  Don't hotels know we all use our phones as clocks/alarm clocks these days?

The switch for the light next to the bed is broken, as is the iron in the room.  The coffee maker has coffee caked in it, so I can't use it for tea (I ran hot water through it five times, still smells like coffee).

Forget about the "Fitness Center"...HA!  It has one treadmill, one "Ellipical" and one stair climber.  I nearly died on the treadmill.  None of the buttons work, so when I tried to get it to start, I hit the "5" button, not realizing that was 5 mph.  When it started to take off, I hit the Stop Button, but it didn't work!  Avoid the treadmill at all costs.  Also, there are no weights at all, not even a few handheld ones.  Fitness Center, seriously?

It's also right next to the highway, I don't remember hearing cars driving past all night when I stayed next door, but it's pretty loud.

Another reviewer said the two "Queen" beds were small...these are full sized beds at best, definitely not Queen.

This is probably a great place to stay if you're just passing through, staying for one night.

Bad experience!  My cousin booked 3 rooms for a family vacation.  The bathroom is sooo tiny.  Opened the drawers to put clothes away and there was a condom from the previous occupant. I placed 2 do not disturb signs on the door (one on the handle and the 2nd one in the key slot) knowing I put the do not disturb signs up I didn't bother to put my laptop, kindle or other items away. We returned to the room to find that the staff had entered our room and left towels for us (we had clean towels and didn't require or request more!) Finally I forgot my jacket upon check out. I called a few hours later when I realized what I had done told them I left my jacket on the back of the desk chair. Was told the head of housekeeping would call me the next day - no call. I called for her but was told she was off and told that the Manager would call me - again no call.  I called the manager and was told they didn't have my jacket.
Don't trust the employees - not professional!

Pros: Nice room, free breakfast, free wifi, staff was nice, safe area. Everything worked, didn't have any problems. Breakfast was only breads: waffles, toast, bagels, Danishes. There was also cereal, and the usual coffee, apple and orange juice. Good food, but if you were expecting a little more, this is all they serve. It's still free though.

Cons: The beds were full size vs queen, so was a little crowded sharing a bed. Small room, no counter space at all. Toilet need a wipe down.
