We enjoyed a long weekend in the Kentucky area and this Econo Lodge was our hotel of choice. Located in downtown Louisville, it is very conveniently located to many attractions (Slugger Field and the Louisville Slugger Museum, among others!)
Even though he outside seemed very dated, the room was clean and tastefully decorated and the bed was very comfortable. A microwave, fridge, blow dryer, coffee make and iron were available in the room.
The free breakfast was perfectly acceptable...cereal, boiled eggs, toast, danishes, bagels, apples, juice and coffee. For afternoon, evening or for a late night snack, there is a Papa Johns is located on the same lot and they were very friendly!
The only downside was the parking. At one point, we had to park across the street in the overflow area, but moved our vehicle back into the lot when space became available.
This is an economy hotel, so do not expect to be pampered or have access to many "extras". But for a clean and comfortable place to sleep between excursions, it's great. We would definitely go back!

It was cheap and the location was prime. But when i checked in the clerk was sleeping and the couch and acting like i was a dick for needing to check in. When we got to the room the hallway in front smelt like piss and the ice machine was integrated into our front wall.  At night the hallway of this place was like being in the dorms on welcome week. There were loud drunk stupid people everydayscreaming in front of my door til 4am. I dont expect much out of hotels, nice clean bed, quite room, and friendly service. I didnt meet any of these....

The Econo Lodge was a pretty good motel for the price we paid (Under $50 a night).  The room came with a TV, fridge and microwave.  The bathroom was clean.  The bed was pretty gross. The bedding had crusty stains on them.

There was some noise at night outside our door and window but not as bad as I thought it would be.

Breakfast wasn't great.  They did offer cereal, oatmeal, apples and toast.  The coffee was really bad.

Tried to get a room for the next night again but instead of charging us $49 they wanted us to pay $130.  We left and went to a much nicer hotel ten minutes away.

Econo Lodge is an alright place to stay if you are going to Forecastle.  We just left our car there and walked to the festival every day.

They made us pay 5 dollars a day for parking which was a little odd since Louisville isn't a big city or anything.

Perfect place to stay in Louisville. It was super cheap and right downtown.  The staff was perfectly cordial, the rooms were clean, the bed was comfortable and the wi-fi worked.
I didn't partake in their breakfast but I wish I has as our breakfast that morning was sub bar.
This is where I'm staying every time I'm in town!!

Not bad. Not the ritz, but not bad. Also not 200$ like its neighbors. Right across the street from a 24/7 convenience store, walking distance to everything else. A little noisy; doors slam loud and there's traffic noise. The sheets were clean and bed bug free, but I suspect the coverlet was not clean. It's over there on the floor. lol. Nice amenities - fridge, microwave, and coffee maker. Nice tvs with lots of channels. Furniture is all updated and I love the little armoire for my clothes. Bed was a little hard but I slept good. Overall I think it's a good value for the money.

Excellent value. Room was clean and I felt safe in a somewhat,  less than totally safe neighborhood. I was within walking distance to many good restaurants and to my clients facility and it saved them about $150/night over the Marriott directly across street.

This Econo Lodge was a good place to stay with a fair price in downtown Louisville. When other places are charging triple the price, why not stay here when it was reasonably priced and reasonably clean? It's walking distance from 4th Street Live and other restaurants/bars in the area. If you don't stay out until last call, you can have the displeasure of eating Papa John's Pizza right in your room since it is on the same property as this E-Lodge. Free breakfast served until 10am.

The location is mighty fine and the price is right.  This is a motor lodge meaning your door opens up to outside.

Our room was clean with the basic necessities in working order. (hair dryer, fridge, microwave, tv) They only give you soap & shampoo, so pack your own lotion & conditioner.

This is definitely not the fanciest place to stay in Louisville but it most certainly does the job.

Clean, awesome location - don't expect it to be more than it is.

Continantal breakfast was adequate and staff was very nice.

Welcomed by a gentleman named Jeff who was not only helpful but pleasantly witty. My room is clean, comfortable and has all the utilities I hope for in a room. I certainly recommend.
