The hotel itself was very nice. The hotel is in good shape and had a modern design. The beds were comfortable and the rooms were clean. When we got there, they had sold-out of the other rooms and we were placed in a handicap room. We didn't mind except for a few minor changes in the bathroom. The hotel is one of the cheaper non-motel kind of places in louisville, but is still not cheap. The location is good enough. In walking distance to 4th st live and a few other places downtown. We were told by various people when we got there though that the better place to go for night life was bards town st which we were quite some ways away from (probably need to take a cab to get there). The only downside for us was that Louisville was a complete ghost town on a Monday night! It seems like the whole city closes and there is no one walking around or even bars open past midnight. We had never seen anything like it in such a large city. The hotel staff was super great though! We checked in with them the next morning to see if we could cancel our reservation for that night and check out without any penalties. We thought they probably wouldn't do it, but they were sold-out that evening, so they were very flexible and accommodating and let us cancel our reservation for no penalty so that we could move on to a different city and enjoy our vacation. We would definitely stay here again!

I remain a loyal Marriott fan, and a fan of most Fairfield Inn Properties. This facility was nice and very well located in downtown Louisville. My only gripe is that I originally was going to say only one night. When I used my Marriott app to cancel and book the room for two nights, my nightly rate went up $10 per night. So I went with two reservations figuring I could get it straightened out when I checked in. Unfortunately, one reservation was for 2 queens and the other for 1 king with a cot. I asked if I could keep either room for two nights and they said no, they'd have to move me after the first night. So, we left after the first night.

We stayed here for one night in July in a king room using points.
Pros: good water pressure, clean, big room, surprisingly quiet overall in the room (lots of children in the building)! Staff was friendly
While I normally ignore the hotel decor in the lobby and halls as I don't generally agree with Marriott's combinations, this seemed particularly awful. Too many colors and patterns like they put together what was on sale. The rooms aren't much better.
The shower only had one small place for your soaps. Definitely tight for even the travel size shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. I had to put mine on the floor
The sockets in the lamp were really lose making it impossible to keep a connection and charge devices.
Towels are rough
Odd: Its great that they have parking on the premises but it's odd: because of the various entry points you could end up going through three checkpoints where you have to swipe your room key to get to the next part of the lot

I probable should have known this based on the price but these guys left out a few things that we have all come to expect in a hotel...a frig and internet.
I was surprised that there is no frig and that internet is at additional costs. I did expect parking to be at an additional costs though.
Having said that, there is a free internet option that I am currently using to post this. Hopefully its good enough for light duty (or I'm out of here).
I'll update this post tomorrow after I've been here and had a chance to look over the place. First impression is good though.

Stayed at Fairfield for the 2013 Ironman and they were fantastic.
Upon arrival, they informed me that they'd have water and Gatorade available at the front desk for the duration of my stay. Other thoughtful gestures: they offered grease rags for if I needed to clean my bike; they had me park in the lower level so as to ensure that the parking garage gate didn't close on my bike rack; they had bag breakfasts available beginning Saturday evening all the way into the early Sunday morning hours so that we could have something on race day; they kept breakfast open late on Monday, the day after the race, because they knew people would be slow getting up; they had race maps and materials at the front desk; they served complimentary beer, water and Gatorade to finishers as they returned to the hotel Sunday afternoon/evening.
The staff was very responsive and the rooms were typical of a Fairfield. I highly recommend that Ironman athletes consider staying here as it's only a few blocks from transition, the finish, and the swim start.

I stayed at this Fairfield Inn on a recent trip to Louisville. Marriott is one of the brands I prefer to stay at when I'm on the road. This one certainly didn't let me down. The hotel is located right downtown and is co-located with another Marriott property, SpingHill Suites.
I was afraid that parking would be a problem (as it often is with downtown locations), but they have a guest registration parking right out front. The hotel also has a parking deck and private lot. The lobby is the standard Fairfield inn package. It's clean and inviting. The guy behind the desk was friendly and welcoming. He checked me in quickly and was able to help me with some local information.
This is a great location, as it's only three blocks from Fourth Street Live, which is Louisville's restaurant and entertainment district. It's a short walk, and I never felt unsafe walking between the hotel and Fourth Street Live.
The rooms, while not that spacious and very clean and serviceable. Housekeeping does a great job with keeping the rooms neat and tidy. I was pleasantly surprised to come back to my room one night and found that my housekeeper had made some "towel art" and left it on my bed. The bed was very comfortable and the room comes with a flat screen TV, and a desk to work at. There are plenty of electrical outlets around the desk for all my devices that need charging at night. All of the furniture was in good condition too. The air conditioning worked very well.
All of the employees were very friendly and accommodating. The breakfast host was very friendly and always smiling, the front desk staff were all very nice too. This was a great place to stay during my trip to Louisville. This was a great hotel. I will certainly stay here again the next time I visit Louisville.

Booked a room for Valentine's Weekend. Room was quite overpriced and very small. The connecting room was very noisy. Luckily this was a pleasure trip and I wasn't in town for work. Very small TV, maybe 19". Bed felt quite lumpy and there was no internet. I'm no decorator; but the colors made my eyes hurt. The rooms you view online must be at a different property. Also, is an additional fee that wasn't mentioned until check in. This hotel is in the same building as another hotel. You must walk through one to get to the other. All in all, the room was clean, the bed sucked, the linen was rough and temperature couldn't be controlled.

For the price it's pretty nice. Staff were extremely friendly, every single one of them. Room was large and clean. Breakfast food was ok, I'm sure it's due to there limited cooking options, but for free it is a deal. Breakfast staff was so pleasant though it totally made up for the heat and serve food.

Stayed here for Thunder weekend. Staff was friendly but our AC was broke all weekend. 80+ degrees in Louisville and no AC, yea.
When I brought it to their attention that it hadn't been fixed, I was told I was the person who was wrong. I can't sleep because it's too hot in my room and I'm apparently the one who is wrong.
Despite some friendly greetings, staff is horrendous at addressing guest issues. I strongly suggest staying elsewhere. My father is a loyal Marriott member and I couldn't disagree with him more on the level of service and satisfaction for the price point.

Everything. Everything was great. Especially for the price. Hotel staff was very kind, room was very cleaned. Cleaned it while we were out and about and I can back to my clothes neatly folded and my things organized nicely. The woman who cleaned the rooms left us some towel art that looked like a dog, which I thought was super cool. If I'm ever in Louisville again I will stay there. The breakfast was great, with a waffle maker to make your own waffles! The coffee was always hot and pretty good, especially compared to what I have gotten from other hotels. I'm very pleased with everything and will stay again if I need to!

Made reservations here about 6 months ago. Three whole days before I was to arrive they call me and say due to renovations not being done I lost my room. To "help" me they have found me a hotel 6 miles away from the convention for the same price I would have paid there. I spent an hour everyday waiting for transportation to the convention and missed a ton of stuff. MELODY ROBINSON LAVON their
DIRECTOR OF SALES has zero business in customer service. Made no effort to assist me or accommodate me for the huge inconvenience her hotel caused. Claimed everything was not her fault. Apparently, these were surprise renovations because it seems to me that she could have called me a month or even a few weeks out so I could try to find a closer place on my own. Trip ruined. Thanks Melody for your total disregard for the issue your Fairfield Inn caused.

We had a great experience. We were traveling with my parents. My Dad accidentally dropped the keys in the vehicle. They wound up so far underneath the console we could not reach them. Mark at the Fairfield got a socket set out of his vehicle and assisted me with removing the colsole to get the keys. It was at night, and nearing zero outside. Mark could have just said "sorry about your luck" but went above and beyond in helping. Hotel smelled clean. Rooms were very nice, very clean. Quiet. All of the Staff were very nice. Breakfast not that great, but it's not a restaurant. Parking was convenient.
