I would definitely not recommend this hotel. I made a reservation here, and was unable to get there that night due to many extenuating circumstances, including the fact that the ramps to get onto the highway were closed. No one informed me of this when I called, but I do understand that it was an exceptional circumstance. I called the hotel and the lady at the front desk as well as the manager were very rude. They offered a voucher to stay at their hotel in the future, but as I will not be coming back here soon, it was not helpful. They would not give us any sort of refund and were not at all kind. I understand that it is partially my fault, but I think it shows very poor customer service relations. Do not go to this hotel if you want gracious service.

The hotel itself was nice, and in a convenient location with awesome beds and no bed bugs (in my room) so 4 stars. BUT 2 stars for really idiotic customer service! Total = 3 stars.

I checked in at 10pm and had to be at work at 3:30am the next day. I knew the hotel was pre-paid by my company. For some reason, they insisted on charging MY card for "incidentals". What incidentals??? It's an HI Express! There's no mini-bar and there's certainly no room service. Ridiculous. I can name 4 other major hotel chains which don't do this. The idiotic part was that the girl checking me in didn't know what the $50 was for (I wouldn't pay until I knew what it was for) so she had to call me in my room, when I was in bed, to get my card # to run the charge. I had asked her for a late checkout that night, and she said "1:15 will be fine...I'll make a note." The next morning, when I got back from work, I found that the lights in my room were on. Weird...but whatever. I got in bed for a 1 hour nap. I wake up 45 minutes later to a man pounding on my door and hollering "Are you checking out today? Are you still in there?" I informed him of my 1:15 checkout and got back into bed. 10 minutes later I'm again awakened by a phone call from a woman at the front desk "Are you staying another night?" NO! I WAS TOLD I COULD HAVE A LATE CHECKOUT! "Who told you that? When?" She was actually arguing with me, over the phone.

I'm not sure where the incompetence started, but it was REALLY annoying and waking up from a dead sleep to a man pounding on your door and yelling does NOT put you in a good mood for the rest of your day.

I stayed here 3 years ago. The place was clean, spacious, updated, and the bed was somewhat comfortable. It's a little too soft for me. The pillows were too soft for me, but I also like the big jacuzzi in the room.

Who knew hotels in Louisville would be so expensive? I guess I should have figured, since it's a city and all. I was passing through on a long drive and just needed a place to sleep. This had the best location (NE side of the city, close to I-65), price, and quality. The bed was very comfortable. There was a free hot/cold breakfast which included scrambled eggs, hard boiled eggs, yogurt, milk/juices/coffee, toast, bagels, cereal, biscuits and gravy and sausage (this probably varies daily), hot cinnamon rolls, and bananas. Check in was easy, and they offer AAA rates (my midweek rate was $109) through their website which are cheaper than you can book from the other sites. The parking lot was well lit and there were lots of spots near the front entry. There is an in-room microwave (in the King leisure rooms at least). The TV in the room was easy to use and had a nice picture. The air conditioning/heating unit in my room made this weird loud chirping noise when it was on, but I just turned it off once I got the room to an appropriate temperature so it wouldn't keep me up all night. Bonus points for being right across the street from a giant super Walmart where you can grab a quick dinner from the deli and snacks for your next day's journey (or groceries for the next month). Overall, I would definitely stay here again if I'm passing through. Only 18 hours to Dallas!
