This hotel was very clean and quiet. My room was spotless and had a nice flatscreen tv. The dining area and bar is very nice and the food I had was good with quick service.
My only real complaint is the location. Not much around to eat / shop, but a great place to sleep if you need to be close to the airport.

Good price, excellent service.  Counter staff was especially helpful and gracious.  Will definitely stay here again.

Clean, good service, bar if you are interested. The breakfast is not impressive , although they do offer fresh fruit- a small bonus. Rooms are modern, clean and comfy. I've stayed here twice with no complaints.

I read some bad reviews on this property so I didn't expect much. I was pleasantly surprised. I stay in a lot of hotels and this one was just fine. Service was good and I slept like a rock. I would stay here again with no problem. Modern lobby, decent breakfast and the room was clean.

Being sent to Louisville for business for 3 straight weeks doesn't garner much excitement out of many however upon landing and getting my rental car which was a pimped out Chevrolet HHR that smelled like fish, I headed towards the hotel.

During my drive I had a very interesting scenic route.  This hotel is close to the college Football Stadium and is in a not so nice part of town.  I was a bit concerned as I'm not interested in homeless, crackheads, hookers nor toothless wonders.  However upon reaching my destination I was compleely surprised.

I went to check into the hotel and I will say that the hotel lobby is very nice looking.  Dark wood, polished  white tile floors, very nice for this neighborhood.  They have a nice bar and resturant and the staff were very nice.

Got my card and headed up to my room.  Nice door key system as it goes into the solid wood door horizontaly which means the door is pretty thick.  I opened the door and saw a very nice dark wood furnished room.  Two queens with headboards and a LG flatscreen TV.  Too bad it's not HDTV but still it's nicer than the crappy tube TV's is most hotels.  My room had a nice desk, microwave and fridge.

With all of this the only thing I don't care for is the thermostat and heatpump.  The thermostat is an automatic one which in theory is nice however one minute it's blasting heat and the next it's blowing A/C.  I finally got it comfortable in the room by playing around with the temperature.

The only other issue with this hotel is there isn't a lot of resturants around however I did find a close Starbucks.

All in all, whereas I was going to have my admin change hotels before I got here, upon seeing the hotel I am going to have her book this for the next three weeks.

Had a little glitch checking in (only one person working front desk and she had 5 things going on and she was a bit flustered). Once we got checked in the room was nice. I think the place was remodeled recently and the lobby and rooms showed it. We weren't on the property much, but it was a solid night's stay (no free breakfast, however). I'm still a loyal Marriott fan, but if you want a hotel within walking distance of Churchill Downs, this property is A-OK.

I stayed here for my radiology board exams.  It was about $50 to $80 cheaper than the other hotels, but the rooms and the hotel was just as good as theirs.

But I must say, the service was great.  Everybody was really friendly.  One thing was amazing though.  When I was leaving for the airport, it turned out that their shuttle was gone.  The manager of the hotel (I don't know his name, but a bald younger white guy) actually got in his car and drove me to the airport.  Amazing.

There is not much to do around the hotel, but if you need to stay next to the airport, this is by far your best bet.

Oh yeah, and most important, free wi-fi.

In a sharp contrast to hotels that look like the 80's threw up all over the room, this hotel is new, modern, and comfortable. The rooms look pretty sharp. There's a restaurant and bar off the lobby that serves passable food and good drinks. The room has a LCD TV, microwave and fridge. Beds are comfortable with a variety of pillows and it's fairly quiet. Outlets are well positioned in the room so you can plug in your electronics; you can plug in at the desk without crawling on the floor, and there's outlets next to the recliner that also is close enough to the nightstand to plug in your phone. They thought out the room well.

It's a mile and a half straight shot to the airport terminal, so you will get plane noise during the night, but when you have an early flight it's nice to be able to roll out of bed, drop off the car, and get the heck out of there.

A few weeks ago, we went to Louisville.  I really like the 4th street Live area.  It's in their downtown.  It's basically a strip of restaurants and bars.

While there, we stayed at the Holiday Inn.  The hotel was average quality.

However, what made this experience fun was the bar.

It's hard to beat $2.  The mint julep in reality wasn't very good.  It was premixed. I had a few.  Garrett couldn't even drink the one.  I'm sure they would be better if they weren't premixed.  I guess a mint julep is the official drink of the Kentucky Derby or something.  It's basically bourbon and mint liquor.

Eventually, we swapped to Maker's Mark.  We had Kentucky bourbon in Kentucky.

The bartender was actually really good.  He gave us a sample of some high end bourbon.  He was really chatty and friendly.

So... if you are in Louisville, this hotel is good.  The drinks are cheap (if you get the special).

I don't think I'll stay here again.  The AC units are noisy, internet incredibly unreliable, and the place isn't kept up very well.  The elevators don't always work, entry doors get jammed, and things in the room aren't always right.  I still give it two stars for being clean and decent, but it's way too expensive for what you get.

    Wayne's World, party time, excellent!!!

Not really, but that's all I can think of at 1am on a Thursday morning, listening to planes drop their landing gear. Not only is this loud, but a few of the planes actually shook the hotel! I am on the fifth floor, so perhaps the noise is not so bad for the other floors? Oh well... party on, dudes!

Other than that, the hotel is modern and clean, room is very spacious and well-laid-out and has a refrigerator and microwave, which I always appreciate when traveling for business. The king size bed is large... not really comfortable, but expansive. Holiday Inn needs to get it together and provide king size pillows for king size beds, though... I walked in to find 4 tiny, lumpy white pillows centered on the headboard like the poly-fil fairy came and took a fluffy little dump on the bed. Maybe it's too much to ask for a standard size down-alternative pillow?

Impressive hotel to stay in louisville KY for a decent rate!
    1. Very clean
    2. Decent room colors
    3. Modern style furnishing
    4. Very close to highway
    5. Noise free even being next to the airport, university of louisville and highway
    6. Best part, smoke free :)
    7. There is a restaurant where you can have breakfast lunch and dinner! In case, you work for government, you will get free passes for breakfast!! :)
    8. Only thing I didn't like is the entrance from road, it's kinda hidden. I had almost missed it couple times.

I stayed here for nearly 3 weeks due to a business trip.  The staff was helpful and worked with me when my plans changed.

Everything was kept clean and neat.

They also have a nice restaurant/bar.  Two beers on tap (one local) and a pretty good menu for a hotel.  The food was good and the staff was friendly.

It is within walking distance of the U of Louisville football stadium and Churchill Downs.

I would definitely stay here again.
