I chose this hotel because we had our Shih Tzu with us. I LOVE that they accept pets and don't charge extra for them!

The breakfast has a very good selection of hot and cold choices. The area was very clean and well organized.

I misunderstood when I spoke with the reservations (via 800 number) that our double queen room would have a pull out sofa couch as well. We needed the room but had the little kids sleep on the floor. They offer a roll-away, but there isn't room, in my opinion. ALL off the staff were EXCEPTIONALLY friendly to EVERYONE that I saw, EXCEPT for the guy who works the 2nd shift at the front desk. Very indifferent and acted like I was taking up his time.

Overall, a nice hotel, especially for the price.

This was a nice place.  We requested a suite but, they were booked and could only get 2 beds.  The location was convenient to airport, right off the expressway and several restaurants.  The room and hotel was clean.  Staff was very friendly.  We had been staying at Drury Inn's on our trip and this I would say was a step under as far as decor but, still a very nice place.  They had a very nice area in the back to walk your dog and lots of  garbage cans which made clean up a breeze.  The breakfast was very good.

The only cons I would say is that at breakfast the garbage was not changed out and food and plates got stacked up on top and it was gross and difficult to dispose of your food.  Also, when I called to make a reservation we specifically mentioned we were bringing a dog and they put us in and adjoining room with a family who also had a dog so the dogs could smell one another from the adjoining door and whined all night.

I drove from Chicago down South with my dog and was looking for a pet friendly hotel to stay at midway through our trip.  After searching online and reading other good reviews, I chose this hotel.  The other positive reviews I've read at various web sites are spot on.

The common areas and room was immaculate.  The staff was very friendly and accommodating, and the room rate was very reasonable.  The fact that this hotel does not charge an extra pet deposit fee is a nice bonus.  They have free wi-fi, coffee maker, microwave, and a refrigerator in the room.

The only thing that didn't really impress me was the free breakfast.  However it was free so one can't really complain.  I liked this hotel so much that I re-booked it on my way back to Chicago.

If you are looking for a very clean, comfortable and reasonable pet friendly hotel in Louisville KY, this is your place!

Great hotel especially for the price. Our king room was huge with a mini-kitchen that had a large fridge and microwave. The was plenty of counter space and cupboards. I only wish that the bathroom sink area was larger. Maybe when they remodel they can open the bath sink area by taking up some of the counter space of the kitchen.

We were very impressed by the breakfast room and the offerings for food which included waffles and biscuits and gravy.

The staff was very helpful and friendly.

If we are ever in Louisville again, we will stay here.

An okay La Quinta but not as nice as some I have stayed at.  Clerk at desk when I checked in, didn't make me feel welcome.  The room was so-so.  The bed had to be one of the hardest I have ever slept on.  Needs a bit of help on a number of fronts to move higher on the rating.

I reserved a Suite (2-rooms) but when I checked in found out they call a room with two beds and suite. Asked the managers to change us to a real suite and she said she couldn't because it was paid for through Orbitz. Called Orbits and they said they could not change it because I had already checked in. Learned two important lessons today (1) never stay at La Quinta, and (2) don't book hotels through Orbitz, just flights, otherwise you get stuck between a rock and a hard place

This place sucks. My room smelled like dirty old feet. My shower only put out cold water. The bed was rock hard.  I usually have better luck with la Quinta. If I return I sure will not stay again.

Overall I'd say a good deal for the price. I liked this one slightly over the one in east Louisville I've stayed at but I'd say the area is better at the east Louisville La Quinta but the breakfast is better here so pick your poison. I will say my room layout was nice, with a wet bar and cabinet space, so this room would have been awesome for the three night stay we just had in Knoxville but the LaQuinta in Knoxville was cleaner and had a better breakfast spread compared to this one. I've never been given goody bags for my pups before so kudos to this hotel for the extra bonus!! It made me and my pups both smile!

Front desk clerk was very friendly when we checked in and gave me two treat bags for my two pups when I checked in which included pickup bags for them and two bones which was a nice guest ute I thought. She was friendly to them too and they are German Shepherds which most people are terrified of.

My room was clean and I had plenty of hot water (scalding hot water from my shower). I had one of the pet rooms on the first floor since I was traveling with my pups. No problems with smells or stains, my room smelled clean and fresh and I had plenty of towels. Wifi is free but unsecured (no password required).

Louiville had just had a foot of snow dumped on it and the parking lot had been plowed and was easy to navigate so the hotel clearly maintains the paking lot.

Overall: Better than most La Quintas I've stayed in but not the best.

My final impression: a good choice for a stay if you are traveling with your pups.
