Had to stay here for work. Where to begin - big red stain on the floor - paint, soda, blood? Who knows.  Next, sand paper towels. Finally - sheets that don't fit the bed - how annoying. If you can, look elsewhere.

One of the best Marriotts have stayed so far.  Great service friendly staff. Awesome hotel. free wifi is slow. Didnt want to pay $10 for the faster Internet.

Great facility, well managed, excellent service. But do not accept a room near the elevators, they are loud an will wake you.  i.e. Any or many time(s) per night. There isn't a coffee carafe in room 318!!!!!!!!

Awesome hotel, I stayed overnight for a flight delay. Staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, rooms were large and modern, I really enjoyed the bathroom (walk in shower stall), the fitness center was very large and had a lot of machines/amenities.  One of my favorite hotels I've been to so far.

The Louisville Marroitt East in Jtown is the best hotel to stay at in the East End! The staff is friendly, restaurant is top notch and it is conveniently located near Hurstbourne Lane and the I64 Hwy.

Great hotel. Pleasantly surprised at how friendly all the staff are. Plenty of easy parking all around the hotel. Nice lobby area. Rooms are clean and beds are comfy with nice comfortable sheets and pillows. The washroom is a bit small but was not an issue. I love the shower stalls with the glass doors. The only negative is that there is a large gap under the door to the hallway so anyone in the hallway talking sounds like they are inside the room. There is also the same large gap under the door to the adjoining room and so there was some people in that room and I could hear every word they as if they were right inside the room with me. There should be some sort of weather strip or something there so that there is more privacy. But for the most part it wasn't a bother.

We're staying here during our time in Louisville...I felt the need to give this place five stars. This place looks like it's new, so spacious and so clean! We had booked our stay ahead of time and check-in was quick and service was great! There is no card swiping for the room lock, just beep your card against the lock to unlock. It probably helps that my sister is a platinum elite member so we have access to the concierge lounge on the tenth floor, which is always nice. Overall, great experience, they know hospitality!

Travel a lot for work and stay in many Marriott properties.  This is one of the best.  A little off the beaten path, but the beds are the best!    Staff is friendly, but everybody in Kentucky is friendly.     Modern decor in the lobby and the bar seems to be a regular gathering spot for many.   Easy in and out with no parking problems like you get downtown.    No places to walk to, but for a place to stay its a good choice.

Excellent, friendly service. The room was clean and modern with an excellent bed and shower. The restaurant was excellent and room service was prompt and tasty. The desk staff went out of the way to be helpful. The wifi was free with adequate speed. Highly recommended even compared to other Marriott hotels. Top Notch.

Great experience at Louisville Marriott East.  All the staff we encountered was very friendly.  Quick check in that was able to meet our requests for high floor and early check in.  Room 703 was clean and well laid out.  Breakfast at the restaurant was worth the extra 10 dollars when booking the room.  Pool / Whirlpool / Workout facility area is clean and well equipped with modern workout equipment.  There were plenty of towels in the pool area and refrigerated towels in the workout area.

At the bar for dinner. Chop is awesome, one of the best. Service is 5 star. Too bad I booked the Fairfield this trip. These guys even remember me from my last trip 4 months ago. One of the best bourbon bars I've been to. Close out your meal with your favorite burbon an the chocolate cake. It does a body good.

Just stayed at this hotel and was pleasantly surprised. Rooms are good and spacious. The lobby is nice and the bar has a large selection of bourbon.  I am not a bourbon drinker but I was impress with the wall of bourbon. Lastly, the front desk staff were so friendly. Great service!

Don't let the location throw you off. The hotel is actually very clean, cozy, and classy. The price for the night was very reasonable. Wish I had time to enjoy the pool and gym - these also looked very nice. Free wifi and parking is a plus too!

If you want to eat the best burger of your life, stop by the hotel's restaurant. Seriously. THE best burger ever. Like ever.

As genteel as it is hospitable, the praise heaped on Louisville Marriott East by TripAdvisor users (who currently place this property among the top 5 hotels in town) is well founded. Even Marriott corporate lists the location among its top 5. Though the staff don't brag about the accolades, it's clear that this hotel runs like it's one of the best in Kentucky.

Redeveloped beautifully by Musselman Hotels only a few years ago, guests can expect almost every (if not every) Marriott brand perk in a new, meticulously clean environment. App-based check-in? Sure. Keys that you tap on the door to access your room? Yes. WiFi that works (admittedly, not the 'newest' perk in the industry, but one that I never take for granted on the road...)? Of course.

Guest rooms here are fairly standard in size and appointment: comfortable but unremarkable. Tiled showers, bright vanities and gooseneck reading lights on the bed's headboard were all nicely done.

The only complaint that I might've had when planned a trip through town turned out to be a non-issue. If you're thinking of staying here and reading up on the collective opinion, you've surely learned that the hotel is outside of the city center and is surrounded by car lots. The Marriott East is not exciting to walk around, but is close to the highway and a major thoroughfare. A short drive (under-10 minutes) will get you to Whole Foods, fast food or the very popular restaurant Havana Rumba. In 20 minutes, without traffic, you're easily downtown.

* The sunrise or sunset from the upper floors is nice and can offer a nice view of the city.

* The Concierge Floor is on 10. Lounge hours are fairly standard with a Saturday close and Sunday evening re-open for the week. Light appetizers are offered in the evening, breakfast is available in the morning and there is an honor bar with wine/spirits. Light snacks (cereal bars, fruit, etc). and soda/juice are available.

The hotel appears to have undergone a facelift recently; it's fairly modern and really nice inside. The rooms are large and very well appointed.
The staff is quite friendly and very helpful. We staged a business meeting here, and found the conference room extremely spacious and well setup.
However, if you are in a hurry for something to drink or something to eat, go elsewhere. Four of us ordered salads for lunch. It took an hour for them to arrive. It took another 45 minutes to get our bill. The same night we ate dinner here. Again, an hour passed between placing our order and seeing our meal. A second round of drinks took 45 minutes.
The next night, we went somewhere else to eat.
All the while our server was pleasant and nice, just didn't seem concerned about the time it took to fill an order.

I travel a lot and this is one of my fave hotels! We get a room here just as a getaway in Louisville even though I live here..It's like staying in a resort!! The lobby is modern, they have a luxe bar area and a great feature is the large fireplace outside for all to enjoy, with plush outdoor seating. The rooms are very clean, spacious and well-appointed. The small refrigerator is a plus. The views are very pretty as well. Great service, upscale Concierge floor and yummy perks. They also have a huge whirlpool and a very clean, large workout center with free bottled water, rolled-up towels. Nice touches everywhere...Love it here.

My future husband and I stay here every year for our anniversary.  The past three years have been wonderful.  We live about 45 minutes away so this seems
Like a small vacation when we are here.  The staff is friendly, the rooms
Are clean and we never have any complaints.  We even asked to have our checkout time extended and the were happy to oblige.  We get the romance package and have yet to be disappointed.  The breakfast bar downstairs is ok, if you get down there early enough.  The restaurant/bar is AWESOME.  Really
Can't wait till we can stay there again
