We saw this hotel on Groupon for cheap, so we decided to purchase a one night stay for our visit to Louisville. The building smells right when you walk in and throughout the hallways. Luckily, when we walked in the room it just smelled like laundry detergent instead of the gross smell in the rest of the building. The room was obviously very old and it was very humid. It was one of those rooms that feels dirty and dinghy-the kind that you don't see any bugs, but you assume they are probably there somewhere... The shower had some mildew around the caulking. Next time we'll splurge a little for a nicer hotel.

Eew and eew. The room looked clean until I got a close look at the heat/ac unit. It is disgusting. The coverlet on the bed was really wrinkled. It smelled musty and of chemicals. I walked out to the court yard and I got the distinct feeling that there had possibly been a horrendous crime committed here at some point. I'm only staying one night but I doubt I will find sleep. I think the boogey man lives in the closet of my room.

DO NOT GET A ROOM ON THE POOLSIDE IF YOU WANT TO SLEEP. We were woken up on a Sunday morning at 7am to kids screaming and playing at the pool. The hotel management didn't do anything about it after we politely requested some silence. If quiet hours are after 11pm then they should be at 7am as well. The hotel matches its price point - you get what you pay for. Worst sleep I've ever had at a hotel.

I admit that I don't stay at Ramada very often. This hotel and ones like it may be why. Armed security was in the lobby when we checked in. The security officer escorted us to the elevator way in the back of the building. Hallways are cold and sterile, lit by fluorescent light. Rooms are stark with 1970s furniture, limited bedside power outlets, small LCD television. Bathrooms in need of a refresh.

Bed was comfortable but pillows were extremely low quality... Kind of I like they bought a bunch of cotton balls and stuffed them into a pillow case.

Do not disturb sign was on the door and yet housekeeping knocked... Repeatedly!!? Not cool.

Very old property. Needs a major renovation. Front lobby looks promising and then you walk down the halls that haven't been vacuumed in ages. In the rooms it gets worse. Broken, old and in disrepair. Cleanliness is a real issue. Looks like they spent 10 min at most. Walls are dirty, carpet dirty, bathroom is disgusting with dilapidated mirrors and counters in such bad need of replacing. I would not spend more than 30$ to stay here.

For 44 bucks a night its pretty good. The shower is a little mildewy and could use a few non - slip stickies in the tub. Also the tv connection seems to be totally different than what listed in the little book thingy
Those are my only complaints.  Additionally they have a TROPIDOME!   Welcome to the TROPIDOME!

I have to say I failed to read reviews before checking in. I should have though. I'd have gone somewhere else.

Let me start off by saying I went to a hotel because my apartment complex wasn't going to have hot water today, and I worked night shift last night and needed to work again tonight so I needed to get some sleep and all I wanted was a hot tub bath and that's why went to a hotel.

The first room they gave me .., eeeew gross! I wouldn't pay $35 for that, let alone the $70 i did pay.

So, I did complain. ( politely of course), and they did give me another room, whose bathroom was what it should have been in the first room.

I'm also glad they did say they would put that room out of order so they could get it fixed up. Although they made an effort to make it right, the water is still nothing to rave about. It marginally warmer than the tepid water I get at home.  What is up with Louisville that you can't get a shower hot enough to fog the mirror? I'm talking no steam or even a hint of steam, the water isn't even hot enough to turn your skin pink.

So yeah, the staff were friendly enough, but some things should NEVER happen in a hotel, and that gnarly bathroom was one of them.  I read some reviews on another site that reported roaches recently.  God, I hope not!

Well, pray for me. I'm going to sleep now...

So from the outside this hotel looks like a run down, over used hotel.  And the inside does as well.  But the staff is courteous and the rooms are clean, the bed is comfortable and the AC works well.  There are rumors that it is haunted but I doubt it.  It's super spread out, it takes 6 minutes to walk from the back rooms to the lobby.
