Loved this hotel. The room was very comfy, from the full kitchen complete with a bag of microwavable popcorn to the ample closets and drawer space. The complimentary breakfasts were great and the staff was very friendly and helpful. Free Wi-Fi. No complaints at all.

This one is located by the Louisville Airport and the exposition center. It's about a 5 min drive from the airport and a stones throw from 4-5 other hotels in the area. Because of company policy, it was one of the few choices of places for us to stay. As they probably cater to long term clients (hence the name residence), all rooms are suites with living room / kitchen and a separate master bedroom. Pretty decent room for 1 person and definitely liveable for anything under a week.
The hotel is clean, the staff friendly and they have daily complimentary breakfasts and afternoon snacks. Not the most delicious hot food, but decent selection and very convenient in the AM. It's got cable so you can watch your uncensored HBO, catch the Laker's play off game or Law & Order which seems to be played on endless loop. They also have a mini mart on site (mostly glorified vending machine) which is convenient if you're hung over and need that gatorade.
Shower had good water pressure, decent bedding and room was kept clean. AC was very very loud as was the refridgerator. Biggest fault were the rooms facing the airport had terrible noise - so be sure to request a room facing away if available. With UPS operating out of Louisville Airport, you'd be hard pressed to get much shuteye if you are a light sleeper. I had a room facing away and didn't hear a thing ...

What a disappointment. When I booked a Marriott property, I did so with confidence and was really let down. I was working in the area for 6 days so I booked here because of the kitchen. The room was adequate but the furnishings were non descript and unattractive, that I can live with but if they updated the decor it would really improve the value for $$ perception.
My problem was that housekeeping removed my personal property! I had a paper bag of holiday gifts, gift wrapped cookies, unwrapped eggnog/bourbon liquor, so it was clear it wasn't highly valuable but also clear it wasn't trash. Disappeared. After I reported it, Housekeeping left me a note that said if I left eggnog out it should have been disposed of anyway. I feel it is my option to leave my items where I want in the room I pay for. As long as I don't damage anything or attract bugs or rodents, I can leave my suitcase on the kitchen counter if I want and it should be there when I return.
The manager sent someone out to replace my liquor. I received a partial credit to one nights stay, not a full night even though they removed my personal possessions...and threw them away, while cleaning. I had this bag next to my empty cooler, not near the trash.
Another guest was complaining because there was no accommodation for Jan 1st breakfast hours. She booked in to spend NYE night and breakfast was put away by 9am! The manager told her that Christmas is celebrated by many people and there is no Christmas holiday in America anymore.
He must have been stressed because we were there at New Year's. Eve and Day.
Marriott really disappointed at this facility. I went on to my stay with friends without my gifts and really soured on customer care at Marriott.

I was pleasantly happy with the stay at this hotel, if you don't like the sound of planes taking off than you may want to go elsewhere but I for the most part slept through it.
I would possibly stay here again... maybe, if everything else was sold out.

This facility was really disappointing. I stayed there two weeks, and I dreaded each day I pulled into the lot. First,there was never anyone at the front desk,to greet guests. This is important to me, because this sets the tone for a welcome atmosphere. I always had to holler for someone to come up if I needed anything. Next, most of the staff looks really disappointed about being there. There are a few exceptions, but I don't know any of the names because a rapport was never established. In each interaction during my stay I always greeted each staff member first. Most of the kitchen staff looked like they dreaded being there. There's one big lady who rarely smiles, and she always looked as though she was going to come toward you with a hatchet. Very creepy, Since I was there I only saw her interact positively with white guests. Other than that, her expression always conveyed that you'd better not ask for anything. She may be a pretty nice lady, but this was just my perception.
Also, the second floor smells like a 1970's attic. I dreaded ach time I walked down the hall. Rooms overall are pretty nice, and there are a few people who have a good understanding of Marriott standard hospitality. One young lady at the front desk is pretty exceptional. The night manager is very professional, and courteous. And there is one lady in the kitchen staff eho goes out of her way to greet guests and make them feel welcome. But even then it seems out of place because it is such a STARK contrast to the general vibe of this location. Each day, I felt more like an intruder than a guest. I will be back in Louisville next week, but I will definitely be staying at a Hilton brand hotel this time.

You could do far worse for an airport hotel. As befitting a Residence Inn, the rooms are large and have a living room/kitchen area in addition to the bedroom. WiFi is included and fast for a hotel.
They also go out of their way to make this more than just a layover. There's a social schedule in the lobby, where they have regular events like music, taco night, wine tastings, etc. For under $100 and 5 minutes from the airport, this is hard to beat.

This hotel is just across the Interstate from the airport thus it is a very convenient location if coming in at the airport. Upon entering the parking lot and entrance area one might notice the parking area needed some paper and trash pickup. We were met by a 10-12 year old boy on a skate board, that wanted to know if we needed any help with our baggage. He apparently lives at the hotel, I assume with his family. The reception area gives the impression of disorganization and was not well organized. It was late in the day however the floor could have stood some cleaning. The check in was courteous and accurate. We immediately went to our second floor suite.
The elevator floor needed a quick vacuum. The room was very good although somewhat sparse and not that much in quality decorations. We have noticed that the Residence Inn brand does not appear to have put a lot of thought into building construction or room decorations. The bed was a medium softness and we would have prepared a hard mattress. Since we have a two bedroom suite we had two of everything from beds to bathrooms. Everything worked and the room was much cleaner that the areas we had just left. Let's chalk those areas up to it being late in the day and lots of customer had come in.
We don't often get a fireplace in a hotel room and unfortunately since it was spring time we could not use the fireplace. What a bummer!
The breakfast the next morning was very good. There was available both the USA Today and the Louisville Courier Journal. This we like! We arrived just 10 minutes after opening and there were already a dozen men in the place. There were scrambled eggs and Canadian bacon, waffles and oatmeal. The bacon was cold. There were plenty of breads and sweets, plus juice and coffee. The fresh fruit was on the small side.
We noticed two employees talking in the kitchen area. We ate breakfast and they never once came out to check on the food however they were still standing in the kitchen area talking as we left.
Bottom line is that this could be a nice hotel if management would pay a little attention to some of the details like the cleanliness and the breakfast area. Bedroom housekeeping seems to be the really plus area for this location. Lastly, if you need to find a place to eat dinner close by forget it. You are going to have to drive a little distance.Close by are industrial site, hotels and the state fair grounds.While I have given this location 4 stars, those are conditional upon the hotel management getting the necessary cleaning down. Otherwise this is a three star property. The reception area just gives a first impression that is hard to forget.Thank goodness it did not prevail in the bedrooms. Just tidy up your reception area including behind the desk to make this look like a professionally managed hotel.
