Wonderful place to stay. Neat and bug free. Amazing breakfast and treatment. such a nice place for very reasonable pricing. Book in advance for better deals. Very close to lot of places. PF changs, starbucks, indian restaurants n other restaurants are very close. Very good location and quiet place to stay. Most facilities are available including free breakfast and internet. There is a pool and work out area. I would stay again.

Clean and nice updated Springhill - seemed to be in better shape then the other couple of Marriott chains in the area, so I am glad we landed here.

Friendly staff, nice hot tub, small pool though. Easy access on and off the highway to get to downtown Louisville quickly without paying to stay downtown.

As a side note - you should be warned. The toilet has the handle on the LEFT SIDE!!! It doesn't seem bad now... but spend four nights there and you will understand my suffering. Its just weird!

Couldn't have been a better spot for a family with two twins under two. We arrived late on Thanksgiving and were warmly greeted and as we entered our room to our surprise they had already set up two high quality pack n plays for our girls to slumber in.  As we awake in the morning we went downstairs for the complimenatry breakfast which was actually pretty darned good and made our life much easier as there were great options for our girls including oatmeal, fresh fruit and yogurt. The only downside was that we didn't like the pillows on the bed but because the overall experience was so good we'll just bring out own next time as well as our bathing suits. Well done SpringHill! We'll be back!

Very clean and friendly staff at this hotel. Stayed here during the KY derby. It was about 12 miles away. I would stay here again if needed. Love Marriott.

I am currently staying at this hotel and, unfortunately, I must give it a bad review.  The primary reason for this is that this is another one of those hotels that gives you nice-looking big lumpy pillows that are practically impossible to sleep on because they keep you neck & head at a minimum 45 deg. angle.

When I entered the room, the light did not work so I had to fumble around in the dark to find a light.  The air conditioner was on cool (and the room really cold) even though it is below freezing outside.

The shower was good at least and all the plumbing functioned well.  The shower head plumbing was not well fixed to the wall studs so it moved around way too much (maintenance issue).

Lastly, the breakfast was not brought out on time.  It was 5 minutes late, but that should not happen.

I was disappointed.  The hotel is nice enough, but it falls short in a few key areas.

The hotel looks very nice.  It seems the hotel was renovated to modernize the look and feel.  The problem is the modern looks are fighting the function of a hotel room.  My wife and I were baffled by a few key points:

1. There is no dresser.  You have no place to unpack clothes to.

2. There is nowhere to set anything - no counter in the bathroom, no dresser, no coffee table, etc.

3. The TV was positioned such that it could not be comfortably viewed from the couch or the bed.  In fact, we moved the entire TV stand as far the cable would allow (maybe 4 or 5 feet) and it still wasn't enjoyable.

4. The breakfast area was far too small and didn't have enough space for more than a small handful of people to eat.  The breakfast was mediocre at best

The hotel simply didn't feel comfortable.  We had no desire to stay and checked out early to go check into another hotel the next night.

This is particularly disappointing as a Marriott Rewards member considering the hotel was just bumped up to Category 5 when it should probably rate at Category 3.

This is a fine hotel located in a nice garden setting within quick driving distance of many major attractions, malls, and restaurants in Louisville.  Our lodging here during a two-night stay was in a very fine one-bedroom king suite, which boasted a contemporary flat-screen TV, comfortable sofa, writing desk, and wet bar.  On the ground floor was a fairly large indoor swimming pool and separate hot whirlpool spa with vigorous back-soothing jets.  A daily hot breakfast was also included in the reasonable room price.

Hotel staff were helpful and accommodating.  The printer in the community lounge area was broken and a new one still on order, so an attendant at the front desk graciously printed our boarding passes for us without charge.  I will readily stay here again when next traveling to Louisville, which I found to be a city imbued with a thoroughbred's high level of breeding, and remarkable dining that embraces both fine and humble fare.
