I figured I better write a review for the Hampton Inn since iv'e stayed here the last two times i've been in Shreveport and they helped me out in a BIG way on my recent stay in Shreveport.

The hotel is in a good location close to the casino's and the Louisiana Boardwalk. It's not walking distance close but it's a short drive. The hotel itself is a nice place, great lobby and breakfast in the morning. The rooms are nice and the staff is great.

I'm a Hilton Honors person so I try to stay in Hilton Hotels when possible and the Hampton is the best deal on a Hilton Hotel in Shreveport.  Prices are reasonable for Shreveport, you can get better prices at the casino's during the week but the weekends tend to be a bit much and if you don't really want to stay IN  the casino this is a nice alternative.

There is also a Texas Roadhouse resaurant litteraly across the parking lot which is great for just walking over for dinner and not worrying about going out in town.

I was pleasantly surprised when I stayed! Rooms are very clean and the hotel offers a breakfast from 0600-1000 every morning (even Sunday!) Careful...you have to take this goofy back road to get to the hotel, but other than that, I'd say it's the best low cost option in the area -- recommend.

We stayed at this hotel for a tennis tournament.  We were expecting a typical free continental breakfast (bagels, muffins, etc), but the breakfast is more than that!  They had waffles, potatoes, and sausage in a addition to cold items.  Couldn't have been happier with the breakfast.

Also, the staff was really great in terms of flexibility checking out.  We were able to end our stay early (due to not making it farther in our tournament) without any penalties.

The Texas Roadhouse is a 2 minute walk from the hotel.  Great if you don't feel like getting in your car for a quick dinner.  Otherwise, you'll need to drive for meals and entertainment.  Not in a pedestrian friendly area.  However, the drive to Louisiana Boardwalk and the casinos is maybe 10 minutes.

The room didn't have a microwave, which is a real bummer, since the fridge did have a real freezer. Since I like to shop and eat in rather than go out, this was a minus for me. My room was right off the elevator, and that was also a real bummer in the mornings, as were the trains that went by. HOWEVER, the rooms were clean and the staff was the friendliest and most helpful of any hotel I've ever been to. I'd likely stay here again!

We stayed at this hotel during the week. Room was clean! Everyone was very courteous and would greet you. Good coffee was available along with liquid flavored creamer instead of the yucky packaged half and half.  Breakfast was the usual continental.   Also, location is not bad.  A Texas Roadhouse is conveniently located close by. I would stay here again.

Extremely courteous, personable and helpful staff. Rooms were clean comfortable and high-quality. One of the best hotels I've stayed in for the price. An exceptional value.

The only potential downside (or upside depending on who you are) is that it is near A country themed nightclub. You can definitely hear the nightclub when you stay the night there on a Saturday night.
