Just opened as the AC Marriot. Totally remodeled! Beautiful and very contemporary!  Great location! Need to update photos!

Stayed here for St. Patrick's Day.  The recent upgrades were wonderful.  The front desk staff were not just accommodating, but true ambassadors of the city.  The only criticism (minor) is this.  In an attempt to make the rooms appear sleek and modern.  They have left out a lot of drawer space in exchange for shelving in the closest.  Two adults staying a week in the humidity of NOLA have a lot of clothes.  Again this in minor.  We loved our stay and will return!

Bring your own hot water source!!! They say to let it run and you'll get "lukewarm". Never happened. Shut the cold water off under the sink and got the "lukewarm". Ran the blow dryer on the floor to prevent hypothermia ;) ALSO: Security Latch your door...they knock and try to enter at 8am!!!!!

Loved everything about my stay at AC Hotel. Modern decor and comfortable beds. Walking distance to everything in French Quarter. The breakfast is amazing and so is the bar/lounge. Staff was very accommodating, especially the manager Kevin. Will definitely be back.

This is a contemporary hotel with an excellent location to bourbon street. The staff is great and the front desk staff and food service staff are outstanding. The hotel has a top notch European style breakfast. The hotel falls short for a marriott. The beds are disappointing and not the legendary marriott beds. We did not like the bathroom as their is no privacy. The bathroom door has no lock and the shower has a partial glass wall with no curtain and you end up with water on the floor. The housekeeping service is sloppy and does not do a good job. We had no towels in the room.

Great new hotel. Very nice and friendly staff. Bartender, Allan, very nice and a perfect bartender for an upscale hotel bar. Kept everyone involved and interacted well.
Johnny, bellman, very friendly and helpful.
Remember people like Johnny get a tip for local knowledge as well as actual baggage assistance.

Excellent customer service . Beautiful hotel and the most comfortable beds, very modern . The only bad part is they gave thin walls. You could hear room doors being open and shut and toilets flushing, running water Atleast on the 2nd floor that's

We had an excellent stay at this hotel; we got a great deal through Hotel Tonight. The room was nice with a comfortable bed and the shower facilities were quite nice. The staff was excellent! The bartender, Dwayne, treated us very well on several occasions. We also got good recommendations from Kevin when we checked in. He also arranged for us to have a king bed -- much better for us than two doubles! The location was great, convenient to the French Quarter but not quite in the middle of everything. Would happily stay here again!

A gem in the French Quarter for breakfast.  European style buffet with fresh baked croissants, fresh fruit, cereal, and lots of other healthy, tasty choices.  Highlight is the self operated Prosciutto slicer.  We ate a good deal, but don't feel over stuffed.  Just the right thing to fortify you for a great day in NO.

Great hotel, short walk to canal and Bourbon. Staff is extremely friendly and helpful. We love the bar and especially Alan the bartender he really knows his liquor and is willing to make you anything from the bar. First time at this hotel and will come back.

Although the location is excellent (2 blocks away from Bourbon St and all the public transportation) I will never stay at this hotel again.  It has a nice lobby and bar with fancy futuristic furniture.  When you get to the room it goes downhill.  The room was small by Marriott's normal standards.  we had a fourth of a small circular window which looked out into the side of another building.  The bathroom, also small, did not have a door, but two sliding glass panes that meet but don't shut closed.

They have a breakfast which I thought would be free.  It turned out to be $15 per person for what amounted to a continental breakfast.   It's a better deal to eat  somewhere else.

My biggest problem with this hotel is that when we slept late they never cleaned our room, even though we made special requests at the front desk.  We stayed for 4 nights and for 3 nights our room was not cleaned.  Late night staff had to bring us towels and toiletries and empty our trash.  As a rewards member for over 20 years, I have never had such a bad experience at a Marriott affiliated hotel.  When I complained to Marriott Customer Service, the Manager of the hotel sent me an apologetic email, saying that the housing staff was spoken to.  No discount coupons or any bonus points or anything tangible to make up for the bad service.  I don't recommend AC Hotels and I will never stay there again.

Love the bar, upscale and swank with a daily five o'clock toast for everyone at the bar. Friday night a DJ comes in and it turns into a Euro feel nightclub, great music.  But what stood out to me were the exceptional bar tenders, particularly Allen, personable, professional...clearly takes pride in his profession and an awesome ambassador for the hotel and the city.

Great location, if you like being close to the French quarter. Only thing is at night, it's unsafe to walk down even to the lobby. Pretty dangerous I'm surrounding areas. That being said if your staying here for your entire trip, don't bother with a car. Everything is in walking distance.
Another con is the bathroom. Door doesn't shut because of its modern theme. Kind of annoying when you plan on taking a shower and other people are in the room. Other than the bathroom door the fitness center is pretty small and limited as all hotel gyms are.
Otherwise, service is pretty great service. Workers are always asking how your doing. Overall, satisfaction.

This place is nice and it's in a great location with all the sights and wonders of New Orleans right at your fingertips. I thought the price was decent too at $150 for a two-person room. Everything is new and fancy. The restaurant below is nice but breakfast is not free! I tried grabbing an orange juice that morning and walking out with it. They caught me and made me pay, and I promised them I wasn't trying to get away with anything funny. They were nice about it. Later though, my friends and I were sitting in the dining area while the hotel staff cleaned up after the breakfast rush. I asked them for more juice, and they went in the back and made me a blend of orange and grapefruit. The lady said it'd be great if I wanted to put some everclear into it later. It was not that kind of morning for me though! She gave me this juice for free and was very nice and personable, which was a good touch to my good experience there.

Stayed on a Wednesday through Saturday night. If your room is on the parking garage side you will be woken around 4:15am with the sound of what seems to be dumpsters being picked up and slammed to the ground for about an hour. You will not be able to sleep. Changed rooms on Friday night and was much better.

Rooms are pretty nice but kind of small.
Front desk staff **
Bellman ****
Lounge staff *****

Being Marriott Platinum is no help at this location. No upgrade. No concierge lounge. No free breakfast.

Too many nice places in New Orleans for this type of mediocrity especially for the price.

In all fairness, the hotel's location is great and it truly is in walking distance to Bourbon st and close enough to all the bars.  Looks pretty new and staff was nice but as for the overall experience, I can't give more than 3 stars.
First, i reserved a room w/king size bed, ended up w/2x double.  Found out from the front desk the original reservation was changed by an AC staff without confirming with me.  Was told breakfast was complimentary when booking the room but was charged $14.99 for what's called European style buffet with no eggs or hams, etc.. not your traditional 'breakfast buffet'.
In the guestroom, bathroom door did not fully close and it keeps sliding open.  Size of the guestroom was pretty small that any business done in the bathroom can make you pretty uncomfortable if you are there with another person.  Oh yeah, there's no fan in the bathroom either..  so retro.
Guestroom had a coffee & coffee maker but there no cups so it was not usable.  Small fridge was a plus.
They did have a nice bar and complimentary wifi, which was present in the guestroom and in lobby.

Nice. Newly renovated rooms. Friendly staff.

But, hard to sleep! Tons of street noise from the street cars etc. I live in NYC and it was still loud for me.

Seems nice with their up-to-date decor but also seems sort of flimsy. The location is great, our room has no view though, we are on 6th floor. Rooms are very small. Bathrooms have absolutely no privacy...
Staff very friendly!

So,  I  specifically asked NOT to be near the elevator, requested a higher floor room with a king bed.  What I got was a room right next to the elevator where you could hear clicking and the running of the elevator right on the other side of my room wall...constantly dinging every few minutes.  Nice!  When I brought this to their attention they of course said they were booked to capacity,  moved me to another room with double beds for the night with a guarantee it would be fixed first thing in the morning.  Morning comes,  and I get moved to a room with double beds again...seriously???

Beautiful hotel,  but room 631 that's right next to the elevator needs to be turned into a broom closet. Room 812 needs a quieter AC unit. Beautiful hotel, but valet is too slow, especially when you're paying $34 a day.  Rooms are noisy with noise from the AC units and way too much hallway noise. For what they charge here,  you can go to Le Meridian or somewhere that's a little more serious with their service.  I love the Marriott brand but this hotel falls way short, it's more like a swanky Motel 6 or Extended Stay. Little disappointed,  especially since this was my first encounter with the AC brand. I was suppose to be there for three nights,  I think not. ..check please.  Checked out after my first night of drama after no rest and no sleep.  Going to another hotel that takes customer service serious and values their guests patronage and actually pays attention.

The hotel itself is okay, but I wouldn't stay here again or recommend it to anyone.  It's a Marriott, but it falls short.  The place didn't have the Marriott feel, but rather, more of a boutique hotel vibe.  It's trendy, but only on a small scale.

Stayed in a two double beds room and the rooms are of descent size.  Rooms are plain and somewhat empty, pretty much just beds and a TV.  Bathroom is a descent size too, but it lacks counter space and ventilation.  The bathroom door is also annoying since it's see through and you can see shadows and movements.  For tissue, they give you a tiny packet of it, which consists of 4 maybe 5 pieces.  Pretty cheap right?  This was the first time I've been to a hotel that doesn't give you a box of tissues.

I booked our reservations through a third party website, but I checked in with my Marriott rewards number and although my preferences transferred over; it was not accommodated.  Everyday, I had to ask for extra towels.  House keeping also didn't get to our room until late afternoon so every day I had to check to make sure our room wasn't forgotten.  Rooms didn't feel that clean either.

Your Marriott reward status also means nothing here.  There's no concierge.

Location was okay, roughly 2 blocks from the French Quarters; totally walkable, but I'd still prefer to be closer.

Also annoying/ frustrating was that this was booked and prepaid through a third party website so nothing should have been charged.  My bill also had a $0 balance.  But a few days later when I checked my credit card transactions, roughly $400 was charged.  I called and they said they will fix it and they have, but it's still ridiculous and worth mentioning.

First of all, the Marriott booking website is faulty and doesn't necessarily book the hotel pulled up on the screen.
Second, I CANCELLED MY RESERVATION and they lost my cancellation!!! SO BAD! Now I get a message that they're expecting my stay and they won't refund my fully paid room because they said I didn't cancel in time WHICH I DID, MONTHS AGO! They're just too incompetent to keep track of the cancellations. Completely irresponsible. They're basically stealing from me. I will never deal with them again. Kevin the manager has no business holding that job.

Excellent hotel! Got a great deal through Hotel Tonight and we were right near the action. Just cross Canal St and you're on Bourbon Street!  So close to the parties, and when we came back to the hotel, it was nice and quiet... hangover prevented!

Hardwood floors
Comfy beds
Excellent and modern bathroom
Location (so close... just a hop and skip away!)
Free breakfast!
Complimentary wine tasting at 5 pm

Just a little more lighting (vanity lighting would be great)

I will definitely come back and stay here again. And if you like to party but sleep quietly... this is your place!
