Finally I have time to write this review.

What a place!  This was our first experience in a B&B - wasn't sure if I wanted to stay in someone elses home however BW is not a typical B&B.  Its decorated in beautiful louis XV style throughout the main house.  Each room is outside in the creole servant style, railroaded to an adjacent room - each having it's own glorious courtyard full of live plants and running fountains (which is wonderful to fall asleep to along with the comfy beds).
The breakfast which Kevin (who is a licenced massues) prepares, consists of fresh fruit and fresh pastry along with coffee/tea.  All food is served on mismatched china in gorgeous wordly patterns.
Rob is the colorful owner who has an idea about what to do in NOLA on your visit.  Read and obey his list - you will not be sorry.
This B&B is located four streets away from the french quarter which is safely walkable.  Its two streets away from the live music.
We will definitely be back for some nola glamour.

We spent our honeymoon here 9 years ago. The fact we drove by today and nothing has changed says a lot.  We loved it then and tnis place is a place of happiness

Breakfast was yummy and the conversation was mutually engaging. Kevin and Rob did an excellent job in making our vacation wonderful. My other and I aren't married but it feels like we are on a honeymoon! Rob gave us wonderful and useful pointers on places to see and things to do. I hope we can make this a yearly trip and stay here again.

It's impossible to count the number of times I've seen a magazine or newspaper article headlined, "Fifty _____s You Should ____ Before You Die." The B&W Courtyards does not belong on one of those lists. Rather, it is a place you must visit before you can claim to have lived.

During our week in New Orleans we learned that the city is a place that celebrates all things, including food, music, art and, most notably, human diversity. Rob and Kevin embody this spirit. Having spent five days as their guests in mid-October 2011, we can attest that our stay with them was one of the highlights of our trip.

Upon our arrival, Rob spent nearly an hour with us reviewing a map on which he'd highlighted places to visit, eat and listen to music. His monologue (do NOT interrupt Rob) was hysterically funny and, more importantly, his recommendations proved to be spot on.

We had an opportunity to interact with our hosts each morning over an extraordinary "continental breakfast" (in quotes because it was more like consuming a continent) prepared by Kevin, an artist with fruit. As Kevin worked in the kitchen, Rob presided over the table, where up to eight guests held their sides while he shared his over-the-top tales of life, love, and wretched excess in The Big Easy.

Our room was in the main house, situated above the dining room. It featured a good-sized bedroom with King bed, a separate sitting room, a bathroom with shower, and absolute spotlessness every single day of our stay. In short, it was everything we wanted and more.

I strongly recommend B&W to anyone who wants to live New Orleans not just in its eateries, drinking establishments or music halls, but even before stepping out into its streets.

Great owners and absolutely experts when it comes to the area....We loved their company and really appreciated how they went over and above when it came to returning my ipod when I stupidly left it behind. Classy and entertaining all the way.

I am truly amazed that there is only one other review for the B & W on Yelp.  Rob and Kevin have been welcoming visitors to NOLA for quite some time and you can see the evidence of their good work by the hundreds of 5 star reviews on Tripadvisor.  If you are looking for a place where you can be within walking distance of the quarter and the great live music on Frenchman St., this is your place.  Rob is full of some great suggestions and his passion for NOLA's food, music, culture and people comes through.  B&W Courtyards is a great stay if you want to enjoy what New Orleans has to offer, but actually would like to get some sleep at night.

Hands down, the best B&B experience I have ever had.  The other two reviews here pretty much cover it all - but, I can't say enough about the owners!  Rob and Kevin were SO wonderful. They bent over backwards to be accommodating (we missed our connecting flight and got in late, for starters - they couldn't have been more gracious).  I knew from the minute I spoke to Rob on the phone when we booked the reservation that I would like him - and I was right.  Rob and Kevin make you feel at home and are genuinely nice, welcoming hosts without any pretense whatsoever.  Colorful characters with impeccable taste? You bet!

The love and care they have put into creating this charming property is evident from the minute you step through the front gate.  The gardens, the decor, the attention to detail in making your stay comfortable are all part of what makes this a little slice of heaven.  I love the neighborhood, too - you're easily within walking distance of the French Quarter, live music on Frenchman Street, great shopping on Royal St. too.  And Rob's helpful tips on things to do (and NOT do) are spot on - trust him, he knows what he is talking about!   There's a great place for breakfast/lunch (should you opt to sleep in and miss Rob & Kevin's early morning hospitality - a shame, but it happens!) right across the street on the corner called the Cake Cafe and Bakery.

We miss it already and can't wait to go back!

My husband and I wouldn't think of staying anywhere else on our visits to NOLA other than B & W Courtyards!

Kevin and Rob are wonderful, gracious hosts.

The rooms are spotless, and each presenting their own decor.

We just love the location. Nestled in a nice quiet neighborhood, it is within walking distance to Frenchman Street and the French Quarter.

If you choose to stay with them, please take the time to listen to their suggestions. They won't steer you wrong!

Also, Kevin's breakfast is breath taking! Rob's stories are delightful.

    Enjoy!

So when I came here and saw nothing but six 5-star reviews on yelp (at the time) I thought "right, the fix is in."  So I went over to Trip Advisor and subsequently took the time to read all 280 5-star reviews there.  Surely it must be the most elaborate scheme ever devised to bump up ratings.

Nope, it is the real deal.  Rob and Kevin run a great inn and will show you a great time.  I am not sure what to add to all of the praise.  It was my first time in NOLA and the Courtyards was a great place to stay.  A couple of blocks off Frenchmen street, it is residential so you do not get a lot of street noise or crowds.  We stayed in the Font Carriage House room and even though it is facing the street we were not bothered by anything going on out there.  Rob made a big deal about the funky bathroom, but you get used to it.  I mean, you do know that you are not booking a weekend with some retired granny for a B&B getaway in Northern Michigan to see the colors -- you know that, don't you?

You are booking a New Orleans visit, right in a residential neighborhood, a few blocks away from cool places to eat and hear music.  Listen to the detailed orientation when you get there, I usually like being on my own but they steered us well for our limited days in the city.  We had a great time, loved the room and appreciated the degree to which Rob and Kevin take care of the place and pay attention to details.  The room was comfortable and we immediately felt at home -- no, at home we feel surround by work and kids and stress -- we immediately felt far from home and were in a very Happy Place.

I should be embarrassed by all of the gushing, but I give few 5-star ratings so feel pretty strongly about the place.  Go there, and be sure to start each day around the community breakfast table for shared story telling and more local insights into how to have great experiences there.

Rob & Kevin are fantastic hosts--their morning chats and tales provided daily entertainment.  They are full of advice for a day's agenda and are well-connected and can hook you up to most anything.  We stayed in the second floor suite--private, comfortable and cozy.  The room was made up each morning while we lingered over morning coffee entranced by Rob's wit and charm.  The inn is just a short walk from French Quarter--really not far at all unless you are lazy.  Definitely worth a repeat visit.

B&W Courtyards is a great place to stay when in NOLA. It's not in the middle of the French District which can be very busy yet close enough so you can access all the places you want to go to very easily. It's also a few blocks from Frenchmen Street which has a great selection of bars and clubs and some great music. A great place to end the evening on your way home.

But the greatest thing about B&W are the owners, Rob and Kevin. Rob sent me a confirmation email after booking the inn that included a "Things To Do In New Orleans"
that he personally wrote about this very fine city. It gave us a head start as to what we wanted to do as well as a look into the many fine restaurants in NOLA.

But the greatest part was meeting Rob and Kevin. They were so accomodating to all our needs throughout our stay. Kevin even helped my wife with her injured knee. She had severly hurt herself prior to our trip and he gave her some patches that helped subside some of the pain. I must say the Vodka in town also helped with that as well...

And Rob was so helpful and full of great ideas. He sat us down when we arrived and showed us a map and descibed all the sites we should see and explained it in great detail. But the best part is in when Rob "holds court" at breakfast. His stories about his life in New Orleans were fantastic and he had me laughing so hard that I had tears running down my face.

Rob and Kevin are truly two of the best and they made our stay in New Orleans one we will never forget.

Tom is the new owner of B & W and doing an excellent job.  He was very helpful in assisting me with coordinating a reservation and accommodating requests.  All calls and emails were returned within 24 hours and he was extremely helpful.
    UPDATE
The rooms were excellent and very clean, the grounds lovely, and the food very good. This is a must stay for a B & B in New Orleans!

Me and parents really enjoyed our stay here. I have been to 2 B&B in New Orleans before B&W Courtyards, no doubt B&W is the best.

Tom and Dana were very welcoming and hospitable, they told us about the local events and restaurants, and we really enjoyed their life story as well.

Highlight is the breakfast, so many B&Bs just buy stuffs from the grocery stores and put on the table, very few of them take time to cook for the guests. However, Tom and Dana always offer delicious hand made fresh breakfast from the their kitchen as you sit down, and the table setting is very beautiful and elegant, which is unbeatable. Def recommend to stay with them!
