Nice little (relatively) place in the heart of the French Quarters.  It's especially nice in comparison to Marriott next door or should I say rite around the corner.  We did not like Marriott (and it's prices) so we searched online and found this timeshare place.  Welcoming, helpful, down to earth staff.  No they don't stand behind a fortification of a sort that's called a front desk at Marriott, thy just provide best service.  My wife is allergic (or hyper sensitive) to a smell of the cigar.cigarette smoke.  The first room they offered us smelled like a smoke lounge, they apologized and said they suppose to be non-smoking but people still smoke in them :(    The second room was perfect.  Nice queen size bed, two! TVs, kitchenette, huge bathroom with jacuzzi  :) :)  living room with couple of couches and a Murphy bed.   They have taken our bags into a bell room for storage and gave us a tags for it, recommended a restaurant next door and sent us on our way with a smile.  If I want to pick anything negative about the place (that depends on perspective) - it's pretty old, I think one of the oldest buildings in the French Quarters so it has some kind of efflorescence on the walls that I think they tried incorporating it into decor, I think quite successfully :)
When we were done they even let us get online in the foyer and print our plane tickets using local printer.
They don't have their own gym but offer a key-card for nearby place for $10 - we did not use it (trying to conserve the calories from Cajun food) so we can't rate the gym.

Just spent 8 days and 7 nights at Club La Pension and had an AMAZING time! We had 9 people in our party so we had two 2-bedroom units and both were great; very comfortable. One had a full kitchen and living room and the second had a kitchenette. The beds were queen size but very comfy. The place is very uniquely decorated and very pretty. We even think we had a haunted room (so much fun since we were there for Halloween!). Chanelle and Will at the front desk were SO FANTASTIC!! They absolutely made our stay wonderful! Our first day there we didn't have very hot water; I called the front desk and within literally minutes we had 2 maintenance men there to take care of it. Other than the hot water issue (which was super minor) our stay was PERFECT!

This is our second stay here.  The location can't be beat, the staff is friendly and helpful.  The rooms are unique, clean and comfy.  My only negative is my bed last time was much more comfortable.  A different type mattress I guess.  Also this time we could hear the people above us walking around....at 6am and our windows are frosted over.  Next time we come, which we will , I hope to get a room like our first one.  P.s. The showers are great!

If I could, I'd give this hotel a 3.5 star rating, but because I can't, I'll give them the benefit of the doubt. But before that, let me start with the positives:

The room was fantastic. Clean, spacious, and very nicely made. The living room was big and the pullout couch was decent for a couple of nights to sleep on. The kitchenette had it's uses, stocked with plates, glasses, cutlery, cutting board, mixing bowl, etc...The bathroom was modern clean, and probably more spacious than my bathroom back home. And the main bedroom was comfortable and well decorated.

The location was perfect. Just off Canal Street, it's walking distances to nice restaurants in the business district, hole-in-the-walls in the French Quarter, and all other attractions in between. Really, the location should get 6 stars alone.

But now we get to the not so goods:

The staff may have been friendly, but they were really slow. When we arrived for check-in an hour early, we were told our room was not ready. We left our luggage their and went to get some po boys. When we returned at check-in time, we first waited for 30-40 minutes in line, and then when we got to the counter, the person upfront still said our room was not ready. After a bit of frustration and a bit more waiting, a room was made available and roughly an hour and a half after check-in, we got into our room.

The other issue, and this as I said above is not the hotel's fault, but just very bad experience, was the noise. For the first three nights of our stay, it was quiet and I slept well in the living room. On the last night, I have reason to believe a group of people got very drunk on Bourbon Street and decided they didn't feel like sleeping that night. They were up until 3 am making as much loud noise as one can make, meaning I couldn't sleep that night. Again, not the hotel's fault so much as it is New Orleans and I shouldn't have that many high expectations.

Overall, not a bad hotel. In fact, quite good. I probably won't come back to the Big Easy anytime soon, but I may consider this hotel again if the price is good.

To costly for what you get....Nuisance not having your car.Valet parking @ $45.00 a day on top of rental rate! Average of 15-20 min. to get your car then a tip every time, all adds up to a lot of money.
Where's the pool? THERE IS NO POOL! You just sit on the patio and bake! Saw two rats rummaging the overstuffed trash cans on the 4th floor patio!
Rooms are small and again over priced!
Man was stabbed in front of hotel about 3 am our last day . need I say more.
I feel a lot was left out of the hotels description.I probably won't stay here again! It would be my last option!

May be biased since we are owners here but its just a fantastic place! The staff has always been helpful and friendly no matter who it was- from bellman to sales or housekeeping. The location cant be beat. Just far enough away from the hustle and bustle to be a tad bit quieter. We had a room with small balcony our last visit 2-6 to 2-13 and loved being able to open the doors to let in some fresh air. Charmain at the front desk is a gem and become a welcome smile whenever we stop by, even when we arent staying there we still drop in to say hello. Cant wait til we go down again.

The good:
Location is great, rooms are nice and big.

The bad:
$35/day to park is steep. The maids won't change sheets or anything. Checkout at 10am is early, especially if you had a long night on bourbon. Valet takes 25 minutes to get your car.

Just stay at the Marriott next door, it's cleaner, quieter, and they will clean your sheets and make your bed.

I loved this place. Very clean and modern. Walking distance to Bourbon St. and the heart of the French Quarter. The hotel staff was very hospitable and professional. Fresh coffee in the lobby every morning and fruit infused water during the afternoon.

Parking in the French Quarter is a major pain. Be sure to park at Harrah's gamble for 30 minutes and get your buzz on) and over night parking is FREE. We did this 5 nights in a row and saved $35 each night in valet fees. Some may call me cheap, but I'm from Los Angeles and refuse to pay any parking lot to a baby sit my car!

Boutique hotel on the edge of the French Quarter.  It's a great location in that its close but not right in the rowdy loud part of town - everything was walk able from here for us.  The rooms are really fun and quite entertaining - having only seen ours I am guessing that they are all slightly different.  We had a once bedroom suite with the bedroom on the street side (included a balcony) - a small kitchenette and nice sized bathroom - and a living room (with a sofa bed) right when you enter the suite.  Exposed brick wall and a hand painted chair hung upside-down from the ceiling gives the space a real sense of fun! I will totally stay here again next time we are in town!

Very clean and elegant. Costumer service on point and fast. No delays on check in or check out. Just the wifi a little slow but other than that me I am very happy with the hotel!!

I had seen other reviews and photos of Blue Green Le Pension but believe me when I say they did not do this fabulous establishment justice. The ambiance, decor and service = spectacular!
Our room was perfection! Meticulously clean, uniquely  decorated with all the amenities you could want! The bed was very comfortable, linens and towels were luxurious! We had a balcony that we absolutely loved! The location is absolutely perfect! We honestly did not have any problems with noise. We have stayed in several high-end hotels in New Orleans they do not hold a candle to Blue Green!

This is one of the convenient properties of Bluegreen time share. The location located at the heart of New Orleans. It locates on Decatur near Canal Street. It is easy access to the French Quarter and the river walk area. The Mardi Gras parade is pass by the Canal street where we are two building behind the Canal street. We can push the door to see if the parade is arrived yet then go to the street to watch. During the cold weather, it good that you don't need wait on the street.

The lobby is well decorated. The entry is scanned access and the elevators also have the same system. Very secure. Nighttime guard is present if anything happen. The seven floors have sun deck. We have the one bedroom at the third floor. Since this is the historic building, our room have tiny window. This is the only down fall.

The building is easy access to nearby restaurant. It is a few block to Royal and Bourbon Street. You can party with drink and walk home to your building easily.

+ not super central, but close enough to Bourbon Street (albeit the sketchy part), Jackson Square and Frenchman Street

- Room next to the elevator so heard it coming up and down
- Thin walls so can hear people talking and doors slamming in the hallways

Cute hotel! I loved the decor in our room. Unfortunately, the pull out sofa bed was so horrible!! So much discomfort for the body. They need to replace the mattress for that! The rooms are small but super adorbs! We had a kitchen area (minus the stove top) that was nice for late night cup o noodles!!  I loved the location we were in and how convenient it was to get around Nola. Valet could move a lil faster. We waited nearly 20 minutes after calling from our room to get out car.

I would stay here, again. :)
