Great area of town. Live brass bands in every other bar and on the street. Great if you don't want to be on Bourbon.

I was very surprised at how BIG the room was. Yes, it's definitely a condo. You could easily have a family or a group of friends stay here comfortably. It's very convenient to the French Quarter (but just barely out of the French Quarter). The walk down Decatur every day was very nice, and the riverfront street car is a convenient way to get to the convention center. It was clean enough...but not great. There was peeling paint and the shower curtain was full of mildew. No bugs, no weird stains, but not 'nice'. But good enough. I think they came and cleaned every day, but I cannot say for sure. One day the bed was fully made and the next it was as I had left it (mostly made...but not tight and neat). One day I had new towels, and the next day I did not. I did hang them up each day though, so it wasn't like they left them crumpled on the floor. Overall, good deal. I'd stay here again.

Location: AMAZING. Right on Frenchmen, a great place to hear live music without even leaving the hotel.
Room: ehhh.....the air conditioning in room 105 ws non-existent and on our final day we were finally switched to a new room. Also in 105, I found a slug in the shower (not their fault but still gross), the couch cushions were stained, and one of the bathroom sinks did not work. The shower LOOKED amazing, but none of the jets worked except the handheld showerhead. Lots of issues with 105 but I will say the bed was comfortable.
Hotel: Very nice people, relatively clean, nice little pool out back with a hot tub. Parking lot ($12/day) was clutch. All rooms are like condos with a full kitchen, 2 BR, bath.

We wandered around The French Quarters and were directed to Frenchman Street for more blues bars. We found ourselves outside of Spotted Cat (with a long line) and DBA (with a $20 cover) and noticed that there was a cute night market taking place across the street so we spent the night browsing for souvenirs and chatting it up with the local artists. It was a fabulous and fun night!

I LOVE this Place!! Has a more local feel. Very more down to earth & chill spot to hang out at night. They have abunch of live music down the short strip, a sort of art walk more during earlier hours, awesome food all around, amazing people. It's a great experience. You truly feel like your IN Louisiana when you trek here. Don't be scared as you walk here either. It's quiet from Bourbon but you'll here all the music as you get closer.
