We just had our second stay here. Great location and beautiful home, furnished with lovely antiques. Close to restaurants and right on the street car line. Excellent breakfast, and the owners are very congenial and great to talk with. We will return for sure!

    Beware!  Do NOT stay here!

I approached Hubbard Mansion with a reservation in hand.  Because I was staying for an extended period of time, I wanted to see the place before I made a final reservation.  Apparently, the Hubbard Mansion frowns upon this.

I asked to see a room and a rate list.  I was told by the man that greeted me, "You can go do that on the Internet."  I told him that there were no pictures of the room I was interested in.  He then told me that I was in "too much of a hurry" and then I should probably just leave because he didn't understand why I even needed to "check it out."

This was extremely inhospitable and a waste of time, especially since all I needed was a quick tour to give them thousands of dollars in business, and I told him so as I headed for the door.

As I was leaving, he said, "Ya know what, kiss my a**!"  And then, amazingly, he added "F*** you!"

If this is the kind of service they expect even potential guests to put up with, I don't know how they treat paying guests.  Horrible experience.

Beautiful mansion in the lower garden district. Just what we were looking for. We stayed in the Queen Dell room and it was great, nice big bathroom and jacuzzi tub. We slept past the complimentary breakfast (only from 8-9am) but were still able to get some good coffee, fruit and yogurt. Only stayed a night, but we did get to chat with the owner and he was super friendly and seemed like a cool guy. All and all this was the perfect introduction to the city. Also, the street car goes right in front so was very convenient to get around.
