Right next to the airport with a fantastic view of the Boston skyline.  I came here and toured the facilities while looking for a semi-formal venue for my sorority.  The bell hop who took us around was so hot and we were soooo the typical, immature girls giggling and staring at his butt...anyway, the catering director, Amy, left a beautiful packet of all the information and was so sweet during all of our correspondance.  The event rooms were beautiful although lacking in decor (made up for by the view).  The terrace overlooking the Boston harbor was stunningly beautiful.  The whole place made me feel sexy and happy!  The modern decor matched with the awesome level of service and attention of the event staff (and let's not forget cute-butt bell hop who ran around looking for keys to get us into the rooms and gave us free parking) made the Hyatt Harborside a definite contender in our search.

Nice hotel, nice room - nice exercise equipment - small pool - gorgeous view - only one restaurant and it is ridiculously expensive, especially breakfast.  The buffet is $25!!!!!!!!!!!!!  Imagine a family of 4 spending ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS on breakfast alone!?  If you order off the menu PANCAKES will cost you $17!!!  We got a bagel for $5 (cheapest thing) and even had to go get it and toast it ourselves for that price.  Trouble is there is nothing else nearby but you could take the water taxi for $10 and walk to a lot of different types of places and get something cheap for less than eating there.  Dinner for 4 with only 2 alcohol drinks and one ordering off children's menu was $137 (we did get dessert).  Again, cheaper to take the water taxi which is RIGHT next door and walk somewhere.  I have to say though that the view was GORGEOUS (watched the sunset over the city skyline and harbor during dinner).

Went here for a wedding, as they have an area where you can have a sunset wedding overlooking the harbor and downtown Boston.  A nice tent was out there for the reception, I don't know if the tent was set up for the wedding or if it's normally part of the hotel.  Anyways, the place was nice and romantic.

The only issue is if you come here for one of these leet sunset weddings, you really need to bring one of those space helmets the astronauts use because you'll be staring into the sun for about 45 mins to an hour.  Fried eyeballs are optional.

If you like crashing weddings, this would probably be a great place to do so.  The area is rather opened up and random people are walking through...so if it's a big wedding, you may very easily blend in if you're wearing a suit.

TERRIBLE!!!!  I would give it zero stars if possible.
This hotel is a huge rip off.
I was attempting to pick up several clients that were staying at the hotel this week .  I arrived a bit early and they were not down from their room yet.  I was told by the bellhop that I could leave my car in the circle for 18 dollars for the first hour or park it myself in the lot with the broken gate for 12 dollars an hour.  Is this downtown crossing?  There are 400 spots and they are going to charge 12 dollars for park yourself?  RIPOFF!!  There is no street parking around here, and they will force you to pay for parking even if you just need to hang out to pick somebody up.
Then, after parking my car I decided to have coffee and an english muffin with the people I was picking up to get my hours worth of parking.  They charged 3.50 for burnt coffee and my muffin took over half  an hour to come and then when it came it was rock hard and burned and cost me 4.00.  DO NOT GIVE THIS HOTEL YOUR BUSINESS.  You will be greatly disappointed.  It definitely lacks the Hyatt standard.  Plus.  all the soap despensers in the bathroom were empty.  Nasty!

Although I normally stay Hilton, I have enjoyed many quality stays at the Hyatt Harborside. Its close to the airport and has a great view of downtown. Room was clean and spacious, with all amenities functioning properly. Great place for a good nights sleep.

Yes, I'm a tad behind on my Yelping!  This was a wonderful room.  Aimee, Crys and I were staying in this hotel for Jenn's wedding.  I could not have asked for a better view!  It was a wonderful setting for Jenn's wedding.  There's no way that anyone could have been depressed with that view!  The digital thermometers definitely came in handy.  My allergies were killing me because of someone's perfume on the plane.  (allergies suck!)  Thankfully after sleeping half the day and night...I was feeling MUCH better!   I would love to go back very soon!

A surprisingly nice airport hotel!  Hyatt runs some very nice hotels and this is a great one, with very nice facilities, and if your room is facing the right way, a great view of Boston harbor and the skyline.  Very quiet as well - we weren't disturbed by the nearby airport at all.

I sit at my desk confused, courser floating from one star to another and back down again. I waiver. I select. I question it, but decide to let it settle there.

My cousin chose this as the site for his wedding this past weekend. Overall, it was phenomenal and went off with very few hitches. The ceremony was lovely, but that wasn't the Hyatt's doing.

So here's the wedding run down -
The view is spectacular. Your guests can watch as you perform you nuptials against a backdrop of Boston's skyline. (setting sun optional) If you do chose to hold the ceremony during sunset, you run the risk of blinding your guests, and not just with the beauty of the bride. (awwwww cheez) Unfortunately, the ceremony will also have to pause every 5-10 minutes or risk going unheard due to planes flying overhead. Another drawback is the potential for wind - but any site on the water would hold the same issue. Jews beware though, this past Sunday was too windy to put up the chupah. The last oops of the ceremony portion came when one guest fainted due to the sun and heat and the wedding coordinator was slow to move at the request of the bride and others to aid the guest and get some water. But still, the ceremony was lovely - including the setting.

Now for the party. (and that's really what you came for anyway, right?) Cocktail hour was standard. The passed apps were very good. The open bar was great as well. The reception in the tent allowed us to continue enjoying the setting sun and the skyline throughout the evening. There was even an unexpected fireworks show near the Zachem Bridge we were able to watch. Seriously, the view is tough to beat. The food was surprisingly good for a hotel catered wedding. A minor mix up with my dinner was quickly fixed.  The staff was lovely and personable without being intrusive. Raspberries in the champagne glasses was a nice touch. But the dance floor. For shame, Hyatt Harborside. It's a bit too small if your guests are the sort to get up and dance. (either with or without the assistance of that open bar) And I know it's often a problem - but the horah was especially difficult given the size constraints of this particular floor.

So. Good food! But wind! But pretty view! But blindness! But well executed event! But small-ish dance floor! In the end I leave it at 4 stars because it really was a great location and a wonderful wedding.

Stayed here the night before leaving for our honeymoon. The view was unbelievable! Spend the extra money and get a harbor view room - SO worth it.
Check in was quick and easy, the bellhop took us and our bags up to the room right away. The decor is modern and the beds are comfortable. They have a small indoor pool and decent gym that both have a skyline view.
We went to dinner downstairs at the lounge, it was pretty good. The clam chowder was yummy but not the best I've had. After dinner, we walked a long the water, they offer a water taxi to go across the harbor to Faniuel Hall etc., for only $12 per person. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who wants a nice night away or even just laying over while traveling, as it is less than 10 minutes to Logan.

We flew into Boston from LA and got a rental car and just wanted to get our room and order some food and get some rest before heading out of town on a long road trip the next day.  The bellman /valet greeted us right away and was charming and smart and efficient.  The Front desk did the "I see you booked a king bed on hotels.com but we are very full tonight so we only have two double beds or a king with a handicap bath.". NOT a great way feel welcome for a room you have booked and paid for in advance! The phone in the room was broken and  there was no room service menu.  Called down to get one and 30 minutes later went down myself to get one and they wouldn't hand one to me saying "the housekeeper has to  bring it up.". Three desk clerks behind the desk and they can't hand me a menu that should have been in the room already. The handicap bath reminds me of a shower at summer camp in its style and I'm tired of hotels giving my room to someone else because I flew across the country and arrived late.   I am certain Hyatt does not want this to be the way their hotels operate.

Pretty hotel, great view of the harbor and the glass elevator faces a runway of the airport which make for another interesting sight, however never in all of my 20+ years of traveling have I ever been in a hotel with walls this THIN!  I checked in and left the TV on in my room while I went to the fitness center.  When I came back to the room the TV and a radio were both on...  but no when I turn the TV off I realized it was a couple in the next room talking to each other!  I could hear them like their door was open OMG.  I changed rooms and got an end unit w/ no one ajoining me.

Well-run place, that's for sure. Classy.  
Went to a wedding there, had a few problems that could've been major.
A purse was left in a public area, for a long time, yet nothing was disturbed or taken from it by the time it was found.
A reservation was accidentally cancelled by Front Desk but they made good & a water view room was made available.
The parking fee: $22/day, $25/overnight was going to eat up my wallet but they had a discounted "event" fee of $15. It really helped.
Driving there is weird. Airport roads, w/o names, make me crazy though the signage was adequate.
And it was totally quiet in what's gotta be that odd mix of low-rent airport real estate vs high-power view. Very clever, Hyatt people, v. clever.
Front people at door + concierge = super helpful.
If they had only been able to change the brisk wind down to a light breeze!
Oh well, they would have if they could have!
Would highly recommend.

If  you have the opportunity, pay extra for a room with a view of the harbor.  Completely worth it.  The other side overlooks the FedEx terminal at the airport.  Definitely go with the harbor.  

If you're looking for a place to stay that's close to the airport, this is a better choice than the Logan Hilton, as long as you don't mind taking the airport shuttle to get around.  Cab rides into downtown will exceed $20 one way, and you have to take the airport shuttle to the airport to get on the Silverline of the T.

The restaurant has decent food, but I wouldn't seek this place out to eat there.

Tracey, Crys and I stayed in this hotel the last two nights we were in Boston for Jenn's wedding.  We were on the 6th floor had a view of the water and the city.  This was by far the most gorgeous view I've ever seen from a Hotel Room.

What a gorgeous hotel and what a gorgeous setting for a wedding.  The food served at the wedding was awesome... and I loved that the there was not one sliver of iceberg lettuce anywhere on the Salad station so that I could eat all I wanted... thanks Jenn!

I also loved the digital thermostats in each room because I was apparently having Hot Flashes all weekend while  everyone else was freezing.

They lost a star from me because they still haven't applied our stay to my Passport account.  They had the account number when I made the reservations in April.  I need to find my folio and call and see what the issue is.

In need of serious renovations and upgrade starting with the TV service and too expensive buffet. West-facing windows have views of downtown, East windows on the FedEx terminal. Wait, I just saw a plane crash. Oh no, just someone burning their trash at the end of the runway!?!

Ok hotel.  At the end of the airport but no jet noise at all.  There is however significant noise at all other times of the day - maids up all hours working and in general just a bit too noisy for a Hyatt.  Rooms were fine, beds a bit below average for a business hotel.  Gym good.  Small indoor pool with a hot tub but hot tub was out of order during our stay.  Breakfast was excellent.  Location is not bad - there's an on demand water taxi that will take you across to everything downtown for $10 one way.  Overall I would stay there if the price is reasonable.

I really like the Hyatt as a chain.  For business travel, it's great, and super accommodating.  

This location was on the harborside, and the fact that my room had a view made it wonderful in the morning to wake up to even if I was only half there!  

You can taxi around from the hotel, there is a 24 hour shuttle, and there are also plenty of water taxis right in the back of the hotel on the bay.  Wonderful.  For $12 you get a round trip ticket on the water taxis, which I think ends up being cheaper than a regular cab.  

The food is hotel food, and for me, by the time I stayed here after the 2 weeks  at the Hyatt in Dallas, I was over the food.  Had it been new to me though I would say it's pretty good for hotel, mass produced food for groups of 50-100 people.  

Our group had all of our meals in a tent which made it feel like I was constantly going to a wedding or something, but at least now we know they have the capabilities to handle wedding parties in tents.  

Service was good, the people were friendly, the business center is 24 hours and the gym, though tiny, works if you don't go when everyone else goes.  Or do what we did and run around the bay.  

If coming back to the Boston area, I would be so happy to stay here anytime.

Excellent and very comfortable hotel. Very close to Logan airport. It provides shuttle from and to the airport ( to your flight of departure). Make sure that you asked for a room with a Harbor side view. The view is amazing and makes the stay so much pleasant. The pool is a little small for a 4-star hotel. Only spent one night but excellent stay. They also have a sauna though quite small.
The concierges are very friendly and courteous. Checking in and checking out was done very fast. The elevators to the rooms are quite fancy. Not too much to do in the area but it is a nice and quiet hotel.
There was a wedding reception when I was there. I guess because of the view, it makes a reception very pleasant. Would definitely stay there again.

Nicer than the Logan Hilton, at the same price. Better beds, nicer employees, prettier lobby, tastier food, more-comfortable aiport shuttle, and higher-quality amenities... a better, nicer hotel all around.

Ask for a Harbor View room -- the unobstructed view of the Boston skyline is worth the additional cost. And the water taxi dock is right out the back door of the hotel. If you have to stay at Logan, the location simply couldn't be better for getting into Boston.

Lunch service at the restaurant, and afternoon cocktail service at the bar, were both terrible and very slow; room service dinner service was actually better and faster.

I travel a lot and this is one of my favorite hotels.
The man gave me a free upgrade because he had it available. I loveeeeeeed facing the Boston harbor and skyline!! It is so pretty and an amazing view.

I love all the large windows in this place. The restaurant is decent.

THE POOL IS GREAT. I love to swim, so I loved how the room made me feel like I was outside. The fitness center is one of the best I have ever been in in a hotel.

The shuttle is great too. It's 24 hours and they don't keep you waiting for more than 15 minutes!

They make you feel special when you stay here - the staff is so friendly, and polite, that it is almost a dream. And the view of the city it spectacular.

Fitness center is decent, there is an indoor pool, and round trip on the water taxi is $17 (a cab from the city is at least $25 one way - beware I think they had a fare increase). They have a free shuttle to/from the airport and its only a 5 minute ride.

This is a great property and I love staying here!!

Total - $299.00 for the night (before taxes)

With a nice view of the Boston Skyline, this is a great place to stay if you want to look at the Boston Skyline, get to the airport with minimum hassle, and have a random Boston experience (like taking the water taxi).

The room was really nice, but I was a wee bit annoyed that they make it sound like you get free wifi in your room, when actually the will charge you $9.99 plus tax.  Not an outrageous sum of money, I know, but it was one of those principle things.

Didn't eat at the restaurant, but the menu was nice and there were a fair amount of people watching the NFL playoffs.  Compared to staying in downtown Boston, the hotel rates are "wicked awesome".

loved it. staff were all nice-must have been Canadians! if you stay best to use their web site to book. much cheaper than kayak or hotels.com , as you can use aaa, AARP, govt rates. got a aaa rate and free breakfast!  parking is expensive at $34 per day.

One visit.  Assisted by the most easy-going, professional, and courteous front-door-valet-person I have ever met.  Perfect check-in personnel.  Took the elevator to the 5th floor and found my room to be pleasant and pretty much exactly what you would expect or hope for at a Hyatt at the airport.  Public spaces are impressive and filled with people,  and the shuttle service prompt and friendly.  It was all good, especially when your flight was leaving at five in the morning.

The one star is for the lady that runs the weddings hosted at the Hyatt Harborside in Boston. She was very rude and argumentative with many of the wedding guests and I would certainly not recommend hosting a wedding here.

Poorly run and managed hotel which is very unlike most Hyatts. I have stayed here on several occasions and each time my experience is similar. Service in the bar area is slow, they make a lousy martini (that alone is enough to give the place one star) and the seats uncomfortable as well as worn. About the only redeeming feature is the view but for all the draw backs even that does not make up for the faults.

The views are awesomefrom the room & restaurant of Boston Harbor.   The rooms are nice.  One star away from perfect, but we had trouble with our keys getting in after several attempts of re-programming them.  We turned the tv on and we could not change the channels.  We ended up changing rooms, but ended up by the noisy ice machine and elevator.  The drivers who take you back and forth from the hotel were great, hard workers!  A great convenience....  The food at the Grille was great, especially the lobster roll.  The bun made the difference!
Worth a stay!

We had a wonderful stay here. Our checkin was delayed by 2 hrs due to air travel. We arrived at 12:30am. That particular night their key card system was down. James, the front desk person at that time was extremely courteous and good natured about the event. He upgraded us to a junior suite(which was lovely) and escorted us to our room.
We returned 2 days later for another overnight stay. Again, it was a very pleasant experience. Have no plans to return to Boston anytime soon but highly recommend staying here. There is a water taxi right at the hotely that transports people across the harbor. $17 round trip for one person.

I had my wedding at the Hyatt Harborside this April and only have positive things to say about the location and staff.  The hotel is beautiful, well-maintained, and has the most spectacular view in all of Boston.  Since half of the guests were coming from out of town, it was nice to be located so close to Logan airport.

Working with Megan and Lara was fun and easy.  They really worked hard with me to make the wedding a memorable event.  The wedding day went very smoothly and I can't thank them enough for that.

The front desk, concierge, bellboys, and waitstaff are also very courteous and welcoming.  All in all, this is a great venue!

I was just in a wedding that was held here, and while the view was spectacular, the event room was beautiful and the food was great - the service was awful.

From the second we got there, they did not provide the service I would expect from any hotel let alone one that we were having a wedding at. We were told the bridal suite would be ready at 1pm - when we got there at 1:30 it was not ready and were told it would just be a few minutes. 30 minutes later, we were still waiting and got a whole song and dance about why the room wasn't ready. At one point when were inquiring what the hold up was, the desk man told us "check-in isn't even until 3pm," which is a totally unacceptable response, considering we were having a wedding there in 3 hours. We were put in a temporary room but not till after 30+ mins.

The wedding was at 5:30, and my boyfriend went down to the ceremony room at 5pm and it was not ready yet, which is not a huge deal, but not ideal considering people were there and waiting.

The wedding itself was beautiful, the food was good, and the view is truly amazing. I was a little annoyed that the wedding party was not brought enough hor d'erves or drinks (as we were in a separate area taking pictures). The timing between the meals was a little too long, and they were quick to push us out the door the second it turned 11pm. But overall the actual wedding part went well, and I probably wouldn't have cared as much about the aforementioned issues had the rest of the day gone smoothly.

After the reception, the bridal party went to the bridal suite to hang out...and the managers showed up to tell us to quiet down no sooner did we get there. So, we did. They showed up again...saying we were still being too loud....but.this time they had the state police with them. Absolutely unnecessary. While I do understand there are other guests that paid for their rooms and wish to have peace and quiet, but to call the state police was excessive. And for the rest of the night, the staff made our night a living hell...we tried to go outside to the waterfront to hang out and they followed us there, trying to shoo us into our rooms.

I understand that other guests are important too, but the way the whole thing was handled on top of the mediocre service provided when we first got there was not acceptable considering how much the bride's family spent (and how much I spent on my room, too!).

I would advise anyone against having their wedding here. But, if you are looking for a place to stay for business or a lay-over- this might be the place for you.

I stayed here as a convenient hotel to the airport and booked through Hotwire.  The location was great, close to airport and shuttle was easily arranged.  Service seemed a little sniffy when I was checking in ... I think some places resent the Hotwire traveller, but service seemed ok once I was just the average guest walking around. Views are amazing of the Boston harbor.  

My hotel room was standard Hyatt, but with dirty towels on the back of the bathroom door ... yuck!  It was VERY difficult to sleep with noise coming NOT from the airport but from the room next door ... walls are paper thin, I guess ... I'll give you three guesses as to what the people next door were doing loudly not once but TWICE within the space of two hours ... (that guy was just showing off methinks.)  Okay, you only get one guess.

My husband and I had a great time at the Harborside this week.  It was the night of the big storm, and we were automatically upgraded to a harborview room on the 5th floor.  Granted, we couldn't see much the first night given the white-out conditions, but we had a gorgeous view of the Boston skyline the following morning.  The room itself was beautiful, and the bed was super comfy.  We had spent the holidays in northern MA, and since the Harborside was so close to the airport, and I had stayed here years earlier with my family, we thought it would be the perfect place to wrap up our vacation.  They also offer a free shuttle to and from the airport terminals/airport T stop 24 hours a day!  This was perfect for us given our arrival time was up in the air due to the storm.  

Our flight wasn't until 6PM the next day, and they were happy to hold our bags so we could spend the day in the city.  

Overall we had a great stay. They were extremely accommodating to not only my husband and I, but from what I saw, they did their best to make comfortable many travelers who were stranded in the city because of the storm.

Whether you're looking for a vacation spot, a wedding location, or a one night stay in between flights, this is the perfect choice.

Why do I continue to spend hard earned money on Hyatt hotels? They brand themselves as a high-end hotel but they are anything but. I pay $350+ per night and I get:

- a nice view of Boston
- a decent restaurant  
- a wake-up call from a real live person (are you kidding me?)

What I don't get is:

- An efficient airport shuttle. I called twice and yet I wait 30 minutes outside at Logan airport for the shuttle. The hotel is like 2 mins away - in fact I can see it from the airport.

- Complimentary wireless. $10 per day Internet access? Was my room fee not enough? The Comfort Inn I stayed at for a fraction of the price had free wireless. Come on.

Look, I'm not asking for a bunch of free stuff.  I just don't expect or appreciate being nickel and dimed when you are paying almost $400 a night for a room. What a joke. Never again do I stay at a Hyatt. Word of advice to management - automate the wake up calls and with the money you save by removing a real live person currently making wake-up calls provide free wireless and coffee - make me feel like you are actually glad to see me instead of viewing me like a big fat wallet.

I have to preface this by saying I worked in hotels for years (2 different high profile establishments), and I know what good service should be, and how rarely you acually get it. We booked our room here through Priceline and got it for $100. We chose this hotel for it's close proximity to Logan airport because for some reason I put us on a 6:00am flight back to SD monday morning. Ugh.

My husband and I stayed here for the first time on Sunday night and I was monumentally impressed. While on vacation in Boston I broke my ankle and because I was unable to explore the city as previously planned, I needed an early check in to rest my lameness. My husband had gone to meet up with family for a bit, and I would be riding solo until early evening.

Regular check in time is 3:00pm, so at 10:00am figured I would call and beg for 1:00pm. Emily at the front desk answered and I gave her the short version of my situation and asked if an early check in was possible. She was very professonal, extremely pleasant and genuinely expressed her regret that our vacation had not turned out as we planned. She explanied that a room would be ready for me whenever I could make it over. I said...like right now? She said of course.

I arrived at about 11:00am and as I approached the front desk hobbling on crutches the woman working behind the counter greets me with a smile...by my name. She said it was her that I spoke with on the phone and sincerely apologized again for my situation and told me since she imagined I would most likely be spending all my time in the room with my leg elevated, she took the liberty of upgrading me to a high level, harbor facing room to ensure I at least had a nice view.

She put me on the 10th floor, and I must say the view was breathtaking! I was just getting settled and a knock at the door came. I asked who it was and the voice said "In-Room Dining". I said through the door that I just checked in and hadn't ordered anything so they must have the wrong room. The voice said "I have some amenities sent up from the front desk for you". I open the door to see a bottle of wine, a glass and a greeting card addressed to me. The lady told me Emily thought this would make my stay a little more pleasant and allow me to relax until my husband arrived. She opened the bottle and poured me a glass and said if I needed anything else at all to call 54 and she would assist me personally.

After she left I opened the card, it was a get well message from Emily, AGAIN expressing how sorry she was that I was hurt.


I took a hot bath and changed into some comfies and decided I needed a little something to eat to tide me over until dinner with the hubby later so I ordered a cobb salad. They quoted me a half hour but it arrived in about 15 minutes and was probably the best cobb salad I've ever had in my life. Everything was noticably very fresh, bacon was perfectly crispy, and the dressing was a lemony vinagrette that rocked my sox off.

I should mention at this point too that the room itself was large enough for a couch and coffee table sitting area, a business desk and the furniture and decor was of good quality and current style. The bedding/pillows were very plush and comfortable. Bathroom fixtures/amenities were top quality as well. Loved the iHome on the night table, which came in so handy since I had lost my iPhone charger earlier in the trip.

I highly recommend this hotel. There is a lobby level restaurant that has a wall of windows with a gorgeous view of the harbor and entire Boston skyline. They also offered free shuttle service to/from the airport. We were treated as if we were guests staying in someone's home. Nothing forced or fake, all staff members we encountered were clearly trained in excellent service, and enjoyed delivering it. All around, a SUPERB hotel experience.

I've only stayed at this hotel once and just for one night but the service was excellent and the room was great.  I've stayed at the closer Hilton and I'd pick the Hyatt again any day.  The Hilton was waaay too noisy from all the planes coming in and out of the airport.  I'd rather stay at the Hyatt and take the shuttle to the airport.  Would do that again.

I have no idea what it would usually cost to stay here...but if the price was not reasonable I would rather stay in downtown Boston.

This hotel was given to me by American Airlines because my flight was bumped to the next day. The best thing about this hotel was the view (photos). It is truly amazing here. Let's get down to all the good stuff.

+Location - Provides free shuttles to the airport and the Blue Line - which takes you to Boston within 10 minutes.
+Room - the room was very comfortable and quiet ( I heard its sound proof, so you can't hear the planes flying by the hotel)
+Friendly staff
+View - I was on the 14th Floor and was located at the last room of the hallway.
+Service - Shuttle runs 24 hours a day and will pick you up at the Blue Line (Blue Line stops running at 12:30 A.M).

For a business hotel, how can you at least not offer free Wi-Fi in the lobby area. I paid $10 to use it, only because I had to book a Hotel for my dad.

Price - Although I didn't pay for this room, I don't see myself paying over $175 a night here. The prices online for next month (Aug'10) are averaging $200 a night. Something to consider if it is within your budget.

This is now my favorite Boston Hotel.  

I spent a long time fighting even staying here (who wants to stay at an airport hotel!!) but really, awesome view of the city, super easy access to subway (free shuttle to silver line), beautiful restaurant, strolling paths with great views, great room.  I wish I had scheduled my whole trip here rather than just the last night.

If only there were some way to give a place ZERO stars.  This venue is an atrocity.  I have never written a review on yelp because i love yelp and normally even if something sucks, i still don't think its worth it to spend my time pissing on something, but this place made me so mad i can't help it.  

1. i was attending a high profile event for work which i drove in for from NY and the only reason i even went to an airport hotel was because everyone else who flew in was staying there.  We all finally ended up at the "bar" (which was under construction) at about 10:30pm after the event in the real part of Boston.  I was in a great mood, and was happy to show my ID to the bartender as he sneered over his glasses at me.  I am in my mid-thirties, and yes, i look young, so i am used to it, but did not appreciate being glared at for showing my ridiculously valid ID.  Nevertheless, he poured me a club soda instead of the "grey goose soda with 2 limes" that i ordered.  this drink cost $10 plus i stupidly tipped him $2 before i tasted it.  Annoyed but still wanting to give the benefit o the doubt, i ordered a Jack Daniels on the rocks. I wanted to see if maybe he just made a mistake.  But he rudely and loudly refused and asked for my ID again because he said he just didn't think it was real.  I showed it to him again and he again rudely and loudly announced that he just couldn't believe that I was thirty _____.   Not wanting to make  a further scene in front of my colleagues, I left the area, said my goodbyes and prepared to leave the hotel.  

2.  I had gotten a ride to the hotel and had already planned to take a taxi back to where I was staying in Harvard Square with a friend.  I asked the front desk to call me a taxi.  The one person at the desk, who -- speaking of young -- looked as though he must have been dropped off at work by his mommy, reacted as though i had asked for heroin.  He said all of the taxis outside were not actually able to pick up passengers and "at this hour" (11:30pm) he really didn't know if there would be any way to call a taxi.  I waited for 30 minutes and nothing happened.  Finally i went outside to fend for myself, and after another 20 minutes, a taxi pulled up and asked if I was ok.  This is more than i can say for the hotel employee who never once came to see if i had been picked up.   This taxi did take me, but it was not a taxi called by the hotel.

Look if you plan to stay here, be sure to get a sworn affidavit that you can actually sleep in your room, and you may need a police escort to use the bathroom.  This hotel is perfect if you are being transferred from Guantanamo and missed your flight from Logan back to Afghanistan.

I came here for an event and the views are WOW! I wish I had my SLR with me so I could take pictures of the Boston skyline. Event parking here is just $5.

I was not happy to pay $4.50 for a can of Pepsi but it's an event so I'm guessing the prices are a bit higher than if I went to the bar downstairs. I still think it's a bit outrageous tho. Is it really necessary to have that huge profit margin?

There were a couple items passed around - chicken satay and stuffed mushrooms which was OK. Same goes for the cheese and cracker station. Pretty standard.

We just had our wedding here and had a fabulous experience. I highly recommend it for those interested in planning a large meeting/event.

As for the hotel rooms - they were great! The water view is fabulous, but the airport view is also pretty cool. Nicely-appointed bathrooms and very comfortable beds (no mini fridge). The restaurant downstairs just won best clam chowder in Boston and has great seating outside with fire pits. Would only recommend they get rid of the terrible muzak playing out on the patio. This place is far too trendy and awesome for such bad music.

In terms of being far from Boston - water taxis are your best friend! Only $10 each from right outside the hotel and takes 8 minutes to get anywhere along the Harbor. Such a fun trip, as well!

Very helpful hotel staff at every turn. Check out the AAA rate, too

My husband and I stayed here while we were on vacation for two nights. I'm not sure if it's worth the price (I used Hyatt points) but we had a great stay. The location was great and we easily took the train to downtown Boston for dinner and sightseeing. The hotel and airport have shuttles you can take to get to the stop.
The room was very nice and the staff was friendly and helpful. We didn't want to pay the high parking fees at the hotel so we parked at the airports economy lot. It was half the price, but I probably should have asked the hotel staff if they could match the price before I did this.

I walked into the Hyatt Harborside in a panic.  I was trying to get my dog on a United flight and they were giving me grief about the lack of a date on my pet health certificate.  They demanded that I fax them the form - and I had less than 25 minutes.  I hopped in the car and found the nearest hotel - ran in and asked for help.  The gracious concierge went out of his way to help me fax and copy the needed certificates - and my dog made it on the flight.  All this and I wasn't charged a penny and wasn't even a hotel guest.  Congrats on the service - and I will recommend this hotel to friends!

This review is solely based on my one night stay at the Hyatt. (I did not eat at the restaurant so I can't speak to that)

The service was standard and met my expectations - polite and helpful. I don't think they went above and beyond in any way, but certainly acceptable.

Unfortunately, I think the Hyatt Harborside is relying on the stunning views of the skyline and the harbor to carry the outdated rooms. It certainly seems as if they opted out of simple amenities in the room and went in favor of being cheap.

1) the cable tv is technically digital, but the signal is coming in analog. The picture quality was fuzzy and there was no HD.
2) no full length mirror in the room
3) bathroom in general looked a little cheap with the hardware fixtures they chose and the soaps and towels they provided.
4) The double beds were smaller than standard size it seemed
5) If there was a switch for the bathroom vent, it wasn't in an obvious location
6) no mini-fridge
7) not soundproof - while i couldn't hear the airplanes from outside the window, I could hear the room next door as they woke up, used the restroom, coughed, etc.

For a hotel located in East Boston (not in actual downtown boston or in any of the nicer neighborhoods of greater boston) the price that they set on the room did not match up with the room/hotel amenities. I was very disappointed by my stay here as the room fell short of my expectations.

The common areas in the hotel are really very well done, but it almost seems as if they spent all their money on those areas and not in the individual rooms. While the rooms were clean and the location convenient for going to and from the airport only, the price for what you get certainly is not justifiable considering the better quality of nearby competition.

I will not return or recommend this hotel as a result.

I'm not sure how I feel about this hotel. I have mixed feelings and here is why...

- The view of the harbor is amazing. No matter if you are looking across the way during the day or at night it's breathtaking.
- The restaurant / catering is very good for "hotel" food. I actually enjoyed all of my meals. The food was fresh, they had a good variety, and good flavor.
- They offer complimentary shuttle service to the airport and subway (T). They also offer water taxies which I highly recommend.
- Friendly and helpful staff, especially the concierge.

- How far away it is from downtown. Although it was nice to take the water taxi, I wish we were in the heart of Boston. Each trip took about 30 minutes each way.
- The rooms were nice, however they were a bit run down for being a "newer" hotel
- The gym lacked water, towels, and the kicker...air conditioning. I guess it was on the frizz when I attempted to work out.
- Parking is close to $30 a day

I had my wedding at this hotel and overall it was fantastic. I would probably give 4.5 stars if I could - there were a few small glitches that keep me from giving it a 5, but overall it was fabulous.

The event planning staff: Kara was a life saver and tended to all my needs the entire wedding weekend. Sarah was also amazing and super helpful (if you ever read this, Sarah I hope you got your scissors back!!). Megan did most of the prep work for my wedding but was out for the actual event because she got married the same weekend :)

The bellmen were all fantastic and did everything they could to make my and my guests weekend as easy as possible.

The venues - Ceremony and Cocktail hour: We originally planned to have our ceremony on the lawn, but ended up having it in the tent because while it was a gorgeous SUNNY day the wind was almost bitterly cold. We had a small-ish wedding so we were able to have the ceremony on one end of the tent and the cocktail hour on the other side. The view was amazing (pretty much just like being outside) and the guests loved it.

Reception: I fell in love with the skyline ballroom the minute I set foot in it and when I walked in to check it out after the ceremony it was exactly what I pictured when I fell in love with it that moment. The lighting was perfect, set up was perfect, the layout looked amazing, I can go on and on, but I'll sum it up with PERFECT.

Food: I have heard many times that our food was the BEST food people had ever had at a wedding. and I agree, but I was thinking I might be biased since I picked it all out, but with all the comments I've gotten I think it just might be true! The Hyatt worked with me to create my own menu by customizing one of the menus they offered with a different entree that I requests. I liked that they were flexible about it.

Drinks: The bartender was very nice, but no one gave him the notice that I wanted the specialty drinks available to my guests so when I tried to order one he was like I have no idea what you are talking about and I had to have Kara take care of it. I'm not sure where this glitch happened since you'd think because these drinks are $10 and that's $2 more than regular drinks they would have tried to push these on people more, but they did have it resolved with 15 min or so so I'll give credit there :)

Rooms: I got upgraded to a suite since I was the bride so of course my room was INSANELY fabulous. I have no idea what it would cost a night, but if you can get it then go for it! I think it was the presidential suite or something. Gorgeous. Flat Screen TV in the bathroom so you can watch it from the jacuzzi tub. Yup.. that's right. Loved it! And it never really felt crowded even when we had myself, 4 bridesmaids, a flower girl, 2 moms, and a couple other friends stopping in along with 2 hairdressers and a makeup artist. That's a heck of a suite I'd say. Everyone else was impressed with their rooms also and they just had regular rooms :) Overall - Highly recommended for a wedding or even just for a short visit. Definitely get the Harbor-View though TOTALLY worth it.

The hubby surprised me for a night at the Hyatt for Valentines Weekend. We were treated so well from the bellhop and front desk. Everyone was super friendly.

The room was spacious and very clean. The bed was on the firmer side but plenty of comfy pillows. Nice big flat screen TV. Bathroom was very clean and the shower had great pressure.

The room had a view of the airport, not really pretty. Wasn't a problem... I figured since we were so close to the airport.

We had late night food and drinks at the bar lounge. Great view of the Boston Harbor from the restaurant. The prices were high but hey, We were celebrating love right!? :)

Although I didn't know how much he actually paid for the night but he did mention he got a great deal through price line.

Excellent Hyatt!

My experience here pretty much sums up why I gave it five stars, and why I decided to now stay loyal to Hyatt instead of my old runner the Hilton.

I arrived at Logan around 7 in the morning, coming from Los Angeles on a red-eye flight. I called Hyatt Harborside's pick-up service as I was approaching the baggage claim, 15 minutes later the van was outside to take me.

Upon arrival at the Hotel I asked if I could possibly check in early (8:30 am instead of 3pm). No problem. They also offered me late check out the next day (which I did not need, but it was still nice to know I could).

I got to the room, it was nice and large, and had an awesome view of Boston. There were two King beds, I only needed one, but it was nice having an option. The bathroom was also very large and clean, with plenty of soap and razers and anything you could have forgotten at home.

I then went back down to the Lobby to inquire about how much the Internet was going to cost me, and to set it up for both my room, and another room. He said it usually runs $14.95 but he will just give me a free access code, SCORE!

Then it gets better. The guy at the front desk asked me how I like the Hyatt. And I got into talking about how I have stayed at various ones from time to time, but usually am loyal to the Hilton Chain. Anyway he said I should consider Hyatt for my travels and business, and then said I can chose a complimentary meal and bottle. I thought he was kidding he as kidding first as all the bottles seemed to be $90+ (not that they were worth that much, but Hotel prices).

Anyway ended up scoring a free bottle of wine, and some prosciutto finger-food plate.

I recommend this place highly, not only did they get me to switch over and become loyal to the Hyatt chain, but also have kept me as a very happy customer.

Restaurants are available in the lobby, great breakfast and dinner, very nice view of Boston as well. Nice to walk outside as well, and free shuttle services to and from airport, as well as into the city to a train/bus hub.

Very friendly staff and beautiful view of the harbor. Enjoyed a short stay with my family at this hotel. It is a little difficult to get to but worth it. The staff was the best. I took my mother and grandmother to Mother's Day brunch on the final day of the stay and they loved it. The food was amazing. I would recommend getting reservation but well worth the cost. You will not be left hungry! I would return to this location if Boston travel is in my future.

I am so in love with this hotel.  I don't know what it is.  Maybe it's the wonderful memories of my brother's wedding weekend.  We all had such a blast sitting downstairs at the bar, and outside staring at the gorgeous view that I will never in my entire life forget.  I arrived by plane at the wee hours of the morning, and was picked up by a shuttle bus.  I was even able to check in just half an hour later, and all before the sun rose for the morning.  

Staring through the window, you can watch the city literally waking up.   You can see the beautiful calm water all of a sudden move with all the little boats.  

The Hyatt is very clean.  I mean clean in the lobby, in the restaurant, at the bar, in the rooms.  The rooms have really nice bedding, and you can't miss the wonderful smelling toiletries.  I loved the toiletries so much I ordered more online.  

If you plan on having a wedding here, you'll have a wonderful outdoor scene, and the reception room facing the water/skyline is amazing.  Like I said...one of the most wonderful times of my life was at this Hotel, and I look forward to coming back again.

Hyatt Boston Harbor is very close to Logan Airport, but very far from the rest of Boston. It's located on the east side of the Harbor and, to get across, there are water taxis (as others have mentioned), or traditional land-based cabs.
I looked through the reviews, looking for information about the workout room, and didn't come up with much, so that's what I'd like to focus on.
The workout room is on the first floor. It has 3 treadmills, 1 elliptical, 1 old recumbent bike and a handful of nautilus machines.
I thought it odd that there weren't any fans to circulate the air, or speakers to play music. So, it's a very quiet workout room.
If you're looking to go for a run outside, you can use the path along the harbor. The path ends by the hotel, so you're force to run toward East Boston. I ran into town and then moved to sidewalks. Not really a great place to run. You're probably better off running in on the treadmill in silence.

Stayed here in November for a friend's wedding. I arrived at 5 a.m. from a red-eye and  called the hotel for a shuttle. The shuttle arrived promptly and drove all of two minutes to the front of the hotel. I had arrived incredibly early and was incredibly tired, and the nice gentleman at the desk checked me in right away. I was thrilled I didn't have to store my bags and find a few hours to kill before check in time.

The best thing this hotel has going for it is the views. The restaurant downstairs has floor to ceiling windows that face the Boston harbor and it is just gorgeous. My room also faced the harbor so it was a nice experience. Room size was decent as well as the bathroom.

It was an incredibly long ride to the actual city and I was kind of annoyed at having to pay $35 in cab fare to get across the water. This, however, is not really the hotel's fault.

Had I paid $350 a night like some other reviewers I may not have such a high rating but for the price I paid the experience was totally worth it.

The lobster roll in the restaurant downstairs - oh my gah so good.

Ever feel like the critic in Oceans 13...you know, the one that they jack with to make sure he has a miserable experience. I feel like him.

I arrive to a capacity of maybe 50% and get told "no" to a room overlooking the bay. I know it was a low capacity because an employee was walking the hall, knocking on the doors and updating the menu in all the rooms- she never had a room that wasn't vacant. She ultimately had to help me get in my room cause the card keys didn't open the door immediately, they needed fanessing. I'm a business traveler, so I'm not new to hotel doors- this one was particularly strange...she tried to explain...

I registered for the conference 4 months ago- so it's not like I didn't get in early enough for the rooming preference. BTW- the other view (even numbered rooms) is on par with a Motel 6- an airport runway and the hotel parking lot. I snapped a shot from my window if you think I'm kidding. I know, there are some airplane buffs out there- the primary runway is on the other side of the field, so it's only decent some of the time- stay at the Logan Hilton for the good view.

I gotta give props to the triple pained glass, the planes are virtually silent- but the view is lousy. So, if you're like me and would like a decent view, bank up your Hyatt miles so you can get some love on the other side. If the view means nothing to you- read on.

I think it was the way they handled it- they checked the computer to check my status, and I gotta be honest, I typically stay at Hilton's- so I'm used to a higher standard I guess. but I couldn't get a bay side view no matter how many times I went to the front desk and told them I wanted to switch (three). The desk manager tried to make it better with a free meal- please, it's a business trip...making me comfortable is more important than a free meal on my expense report!

There's a mirror on the wall- it's crooked.

The pool has so much scum around the water line- I can't believe no one has taken the initiative to clean it, it's not unnoticable.

The cute little sash at the foot of the bed is visably dirty- and that's just nasty! I know, take it off and throw it in the corner- I did.

These are nit picky...unless you ask yourself, "what other details are they not paying attention to?" Well, I'll tell you-

I ate at the one and only restaraunt tonight- sent it back because there was a hair in my scallops. I didn't plant it, it was just there. I started playing the "am I paranoid?" game...But the table behind me sent their crab cake back because it didn't taste right. My scallops were alright tasting- I can't complain about the taste, but after a hair- a perfect round two is on par with a lousy round one.

Location- man, one night, ok. But a prolonged stay...I dunno about you but a $17 round trip water taxi isn't going to sit too well on an expense report. Otherwise, it's a 2 mile walk (one way) to the slum of East Boston for some pretty good Columbian food, mom and pop pizza (I'll let you know later) or Burger King....that's about it!  I'm a pretty daring man- I will venture into uncharter territory looking for excellent local food. I'm not kidding when I say, only 5% of those reading this will venture into East Boston...for those 5%, they will enjoy the culture change and food, the other 95% should avoid it at all costs- it ain't for you!!

I had a $50 meal in the lobby (after the scallops were comped)- those are your options.

It's not the worst place I've stayed- but close. The view (on one side of the building) is awesome! The rates were acceptable (I'm here for a conference, so it's location more than anything). The staff has been friendly enough, but suck at telling you "you don't have status, so enjoy the view from the restaraunt while you give us more money"

If my wife wanted to come to Boston on a personal trip- I'd NEVER stay here. I'd pick the Hilton at Logan and enjoy more food options, or cross the bay to Boston proper. The ONLY reason I'd stay here is for a conference and I'd seriously consider skipping it all together. I will let the staff of this conference know what I think...and they are conference/tradeshow planning folks- so I hope the old theory of a disgruntled persons voice will be heard by more than those with a good comment will be true!

Five stars.  Not like an "airport" hotel.  Beautiful views.  I've stayed twice.  Book a water view room, if you can. Lovely view restaurant with nice options and good food.  Very friendly staff. Lim at guest services is quite helpful.  Clean rooms.  Nice bar.

It is also quiet. Water taxis to Boston are close, and they have a quick shuttle from Logan back and forth.

I have never stayed at this hotel but I have gone to the harborside grill and patio. The view is amazing. I would defiantly recommend this place if you are looking for drinks outside on the water. The food is pretty good and reasonably priced. At night they have fire pits which adds to the night.

At the bar I ordered a burger and two Dewar's White with soda. So simple but for $41 with a 15% tip the buns should be fresh and the soda should be Schweppes. My rule is if it costs this much it should be better than my home cooking. My first DST, (Dewar's Soda Twist) tasted sweet I drank it but told the bar tender the second tasted sweet too but to no avail. I'm at the airport a few times a week for business but won't waste my money at the Harbor View again.

I was in town for a two day meeting and they had it set up at this hotel.  Being this close to the airport, I wondered if I was going to have to buy some ear plugs to fall asleep, but that was not the case.

I checked in and was immediately given my room key so up to the room I went.  Very nice room, clean, temperature was a little colder just as I like it.  The only thing that would have been better would have been a mini fridge in the room.  After about 30 min in the room I realized that I had not heard a single plane.  Nothing.  It was extremely quite.  I have no idea how much insulation was built into this hotel, but it had to be a ton.  I can see the runway from my window, yet not a single plane could be heard.

Our meeting room was nice, close to the elevator and the second floor windows overlooked the harbor.  

Our final morning we decided to eat at the restaurant which was extremely good.  All and all, I was very impressed and would stay again if returning to Boston.  Well done Hyatt!

I can't believe I have never reviewed this hotel!  This is my "go to" hotel when I visit Boston.  The location is so close to the airport, but also an easy water taxi or cab ride into the city.  The staff is always extremely professional and helpful and the views are what sell this place!  Request a room overlooking the city and enjoy the beautiful water and skyline views...who knows, you might even get lucky enough to see fireworks from your hotel room too!

This hotel is great!! Beautiful view of the city!! The staff was also polite, friendly and very helpful! The complimentary shuttle is also very convenient it runs every 15mins on a 24hr basis. The shuttle goes to the airport and also to the blue line T station (airport stop). The rooms are a good size and very clean, i would have given 5 stars but we were not able to get a room with the gorgeous view of the city but overall great experience and we will definitely go back!!

This place was beautiful. I booked it on the Hotel Tonight app and got a great deal. Upon checking in, they upgraded us to a Bay View room- without even asking! The view of Boston was amazing! They had a beautiful seating area outside, right on the waterfront. The place was so clean and the staff was very accommodating. They even have a free shuttle that takes you to the airport or the T train. Yes it's not IN the city of Boston per-see, but its so easy to get into town. I recommend staying here!

I did not find my stay at this hotel very pleasant. The only thing I liked about it was the view, which was spectacular.
The wifi did not work so I had to rely on a 3g/4g signal from my phone to try and get any work accomplished. The bedding under sheets was very stained and disgusting. There is a no noise policy after 10 pm, however, there were children running up and down the hallway until way after 11.
Also, I was on a direct bill credit card and they also charged my personal card and when I called to inquire, no one was helpful.
I will not stay at this location again.

Boston at the Hyatt
Great hotel very friendly people awesome room.
When we arrive at the Hyatt our room was ready even though we arrive 4 hrs earlier than check in time and when I asked to Louis at the front desk when he was checking us in if it was possible to get a room in the higher levels and with the view of the city, he already has put us in a room with the exact specifications because he said every body like those rooms so when available he always offer them  ( smart man ) I posted a few pictures of the view from our room, the hotel is kept very clean and it has a restaurant with a big patio overlooking the city with the ocean in between, everybody was very friendly and eager to help with any information you could possibly need they also have a big parking lot and it's free, if you are driving if not you could walk outside and there is a taxi station next to the hotel so there was always one waiting for you, although it's next to the Logan airport it was so quiet we didn't even realize we were so close to it. Overall, great hotel experience definitely and highly recommend  it. ***The room number with uneven number at the end at least on the 7th floor are the ones facing the city.

We just had our wedding here this past weekend and the Hyatt Boston Harbor was a fantastic place to spend the wedding weekend.  The rooms are fantastic with views no matter where you are! Our ceremony was held on the lawn and reception in the a skyline Ballroom - which is the best view of Boston in the city - trust me!  We also held a brunch the day after the wedding in the Harborside Ballroom which was great as well.
Thank you Lara and the incredible Hyatt staff for your graciousness, help and accommodation! It's greatly appreciated!
If you are looking for a great wedding venue, with views of Boston unlike any other, reasonable rates for your guests, great service, fantastic food, and close to the airport for out of town guests, this is the place for you.

I showed up the day before my birthday o a very friendly front desk and valet employees. They upgraded my room to a ocean view without me asking for it for the same low price. They also gave me one free gift of my choosing and it was delivered at the exact time I had asked for it. Honestly I loved everything about this hotel and would recommend it to anyone and will return there in the future.

Very decent place to stay. It is a bit off path so you have to plan carefully if you're taking public transportation. The free shuttle can take up to 20 minutes  from hotel to airport blue line station.  Amenities are nice.  Clearly the hotel is older.  However, they've done an excellent job continuously updating the rooms and common areas.  I would recommend this only with the reservation of proximity to Boston tourist and eating locations.

Got a city view top floor room and what a great view.  Enjoyed the trips on the water taxis to the city.  The main bar prepared some very tasty vodka tonics with what is now my favorite vodka...Tito's.  Staff was friendly and helpful.  Workout facility is small but got the job done.  Nice and quiet location away from the city.  Recommended.

Million dollar view but you're in the middle of nowhere. It's a $25 cab ride to the North End which is one of the closer neighborhoods to the hotel. Be sure to ask for a room with a harbor view. There's complimentary shuttle service to/from the airport.

I had meetings all week here and the lunches were good. The restaurant, which has floor-to-ceiling windows, had surprisingly tasty clam chowder and lobster rolls (and this is coming from a New England native).

Rooms are spacious and clean and the housekeeper left me a note to have a nice day. Cute.

Cheap construction and a noisy hotel.  For what they charge I shouldn't have to hear the guy down the hall snoring.  Staff uniformly wonderful, but the hotel is seriously understaffed.  I waited over half an hour for hotel shuttle pickup at the T station one night, half an hour the other night - that won't be fun when it's twenty degrees out.  The one time I went to the restaurant (at 8 pm on a Tuesday) there was no room, it was so crowded at the bar I couldn't get anyone's attention to order off the menu, and I just gave up.  Room service took an hour.  

The water taxi is really nice.  

Unless you're flying in or out the next day, skip it.

This hotel experience will be one of my favorites. The room was clean, the hospitality was great,and we had an overall great experience.  The only con that I would talk about is the price of the food at the Grille. It is a bit overpriced.

As others have said, the view is awesome and it's right next to the airport.   This hotel served as my home base for a quick day and a half business trip.  

Here are the highlights for me:

1) View of the harbor is fantastic.  You need to get a room that faces the harbor.

2) Their staff is pleasant and effective.

3) Their bar is really good.   And the guys that work their are attentive and very friendly.  

4) I ran out of time to get into town for lunch, so I went to the bar had ordered a lobster roll.   This was probably one of the best I've ever had, and it was here at the hotel!   I didn't need to go into town to a seafood place for the lobster roll.   The hotel was just fine.  

5) Definitely use the free hotel shuttle.  When you call the main hotel number, the first person that answers the phone can send the shuttle to you.   It can pick up/drop from the hotel, the Boston T (aka subway stop, blue line), and rental car area. Very convenient.

The only downside I would say is that hotel needs an update.  It's a little old.  The rooms are just ok.

The drainage for the bathroom sink and showers was inconsistent.   Sometimes it drained just fine.   Other times it appears to be clogged up, then would all of a sudden drain quickly.    In the shower, they do need to clean the air vent.  That was disgusting with dust and gunk.   I made sure to take quick showers.

Otherwise, all in all, it's a decent hotel.

Want the best view of Boston close to Logan and just a minutes from downtown via water taxi? This is the place!

It is a great hotel even without those benefits. The staff was a pleasure to work with (got my city view just for asking). Had to host a couple events in their meeting rooms-  super helpful and accommodating event and support staff. Catering services were very good as well.

Rooms are quiet, clean, nicely furnished and decorated. Water taxi's stop at the dock right in front of the hotel and can get you downtown in a just a few minutes.

Normally I would stay right in the city, but if you need to stick close to the airport this is an excellent option.

Tips if staying here.  Get a room overlooking the harbor, the view is great.  Go to the concierge if using the water taxi,  They have discounted tickets. Getting back to hotel from the seaport district you can use the silverline to the terminal, then call the hotel for their shuttle.
Call directly to the hotel when making reservations.  If driving try to get a deal on the parking rates.  Their lot is right in front and never full.
There is a nice walking path in back along the water.  Santarpios is a must for the best pizza and lamb in Boston.  It is within walking distance.

Arrived early (really early) and my room wasn't available. Louie at the front desk apologized ( which wasn't necessary) and gave me two tickets for the water taxi.
They called me around 9 a.m. to tell me my room was ready.
If given the option when you book, pay for the business plan upgrade. For $12/day you get free internet and free breakfast. Also a room with a spectacular view of the harbor.
Breakfast was awesome. Fresh fruit, lox, prosciutto, oatmeal, waffles, eggs and omelets made to order. This costs $25 otherwise, so upgrade at booking!
My only negative was housekeeping. I came back to my room around 3 one afternoon, the garbage wasn't taken out, in fact the can was left in the entryway. The floor of the bathroom was covered in someone elses footprints. (I don't have chuck taylors, and I didn't wear my
shoes in the bathroom).
I stayed here for a conference at BCEC, and it was very convienient for that. Fair warning, water taxi stops at 10pm, I found that out the hard way.

In thoroughly impressed with the entire experience here. If you've read anything about my profile you'll know that I always travel with birds, props, and anything else that makes life difficult. In this case, a kid too.

Checked in at 1am and the brought up a crib. Birds arrived the following day and the manager approached me and addresses some concerns. At the end of the day everyone is happy and I'm excited about how amazing they've been!

Worth the price.

Great food for a hotel! Drinks at the bar are great too, and I love the harbor view. Downside, it's by the airport and as is expected there's not a lot within walking distance. Also disappointing is the fact that their 'hypoallergenic rooms' have numerous feather pillows on the bed. overall, i had a good stay and the staff was very accommodating.

This is a review of the overall experience of the hotel & restaurant. Great place to stay & worth $20 upgrade for harbor view. If you just want to stay it is right next to airport & they shuttle you to & from the airport. Shuttle also available to places all around town. Rooms are very nice & quiet (we never heard an airplane). Hotel staff very friendly & accommodating. Had evening meals in beautiful setting overlooking the harbor. We just used the tapas menu but it was just smaller portions of regular menu & was varied & tasteful & included very nice wine & beer selections.
Good dining & great place to stay.

Great view of harbor from room. Spacious and clean. A skip and a jump from Boston Logan airport. Shuttle service available to train and airport. Taxi hub is right next to hotel so high traffic area. On the other hand easy getting a cab.

The hotel was booked last minute and seemed to be a good deal. It was terrible. Still expensive. The room had no closet railing. Just holes in the closet wall. No place to hang clothing for a business meeting the next day. The bathroom had no place to put out cosmetics to get ready in the morning. Was stunned by the lack of amenities at that price when there are so many alternatives at the airport.

Great experience and very helpful staff. The room was clean, comfortable and gorgeous. Even more amazing was the view of the harbor at all times of the day.

The only 50/50 critique I have is how thin the walls "seem" to be. You can hear people talking and passing by, but it wasn't ridiculously loud like some of these other reviews may have experienced during their stays. It's only slightly annoying if you're tired and trying to sleep. But really good for safety in case some trouble may happen, people can intervene and help if we can hear someone in their room.

Overall a great experience and a gorgeous hotel. Be sure to find the "Finding Nemo" tank located up the staircase!

We got in at 2am and our check in process was fast and smooth. Friendly and attentive service and they brought a crib for our daughter right up to our room for us within minutes. Free apples at the front desk!

The room was spacious, comfortable and clean. Awesome bathroom, lots of amenities and amazing housekeeping staff. Beautiful views - even in the elevators!

Continental breakfast was sparse but we arrived later in the morning.

Walked along outside the water with our daughter and loved it. Super close to the airport, like a five minute drive!

Ordered food to go downstairs and it was delicious!! Perfectly cooked salmon, chicken and broccolini (best I've had) delicious! The waitstaff - I think she was actually just the hostess, she was Egyptian - was so amazing!! She was very sweet to us and even better to my 15 month old daughter. She waited on my husband while he wakes for our food and gave us a free apple juice and meal for my daughter along with a couple waters. She was so awesome - it's people like her that make you feel special and want to stay loyal to a company for it. She didn't have to do that but she did and to us that's above and beyond. And unexpected.

Everyone at this hotel has been awesome. I look forward to staying here again.

We stayed in this hotel on a Tuesday through Saturday.  My husband had a class in the hotel so we decided to stay there.  

The hotel is right by the airport which is very convenient and you do not hear plane noise which is even better. There is a free shuttle 24 hours a day.  It is an older hotel but they have done a great job keeping up with the times.

There were a lot of good things about the hotel and then some so/so so I am just going to give you the good and the not so good.

The Good

1.) Close to the airport (although if you decide to not take shuttle and cab it make sure you tell the cab driver Hyatt Airport and not Harborside) I guess it used to be called harborside and the cabbie took us to the wrong Hyatt because we did not refer to it as the airport Hyatt.

2.) The View- You cannot find a more beautiful view of Boston than from this hotel.
3.) The concierge staff (Johnny/ Brendan) and the front desk (Gabriel). They all go out of their way to help you with directions, restaurants, and tickets.  They are always friendly!
4.) The patio for drinks has fire pits and that view
5.) Location if you take the free shuttle to the airport you can catch the subway

The Not So Good

1.)Housekeeping- My hubby had classes early every morning so i tried to sleep in.  Every morning around 7 the housekeeping crew would start cleaning LOUDLY.  There was no way to sleep in.  Then when I would go get breakfast I would let them know I was leaving my room so they could clean only to come back hours later to it not cleaned.  Our room did not get cleaned until about 2:30 every day. If I would try to ask them to clean it sooner they said they did not speak English.  In hindsight I should have called the front desk to see if they could get it cleaned faster.

2.) There is no pool which is kind of a bummer if you are a spouse of someone attending a conference.  And if you want to take the water taxi it is 17.00 round trip which gets expensive after awhile.  Now that I feel safe in the subway I would take the shuttle (free) to the airport and catch the subway but at the time I didn't feel comfortable.

3.) The food is very good but the menu is very limited

All in all, it was a nice place to stay but it is kind of out of the way.  The thing that makes it a good place to stay is definitely the front desk, drivers, and concierge staff.

This hotel is at the airport and it is clearly the best airport property hotel.   The Hilton here is also good and a little more convenient to the terminals.   The Hyatt has beautiful views of the harbor.   The harbor view rooms look over Boston inner harbor.  The airport view rooms look over the runways then out to the outer harbor and islands.   Easy access to downtown via the water taxi.  All that is great but I really love about this hotel is the is clearly much higher quality than the other airport hotels.   The clam chowder maybe the best in the city and other menu items are equally as good.

One star for beautiful view.  Hotel needs to get hip on how other hotels are operating these days.  Old school crap Internet with enormous fees,  no coffee bar (have to stand at restaurant & wait for someone to take your order to pour you a small 3.75 plain coffee) and $40 parking when there's nothing around there.  Also no frig in room and no Cable movie channels.  Wake up - provide free internet, free morning coffees where you pour yourself and free parking.

My son (9) and I visited the Hyatt April 3-5th this year (2015). What a gorgeous hotel.

This hotel is situated next to Logan airport. It is across the Boston harbor from downtown Boston and is accessible by car or by (more fun) a water taxi.  More on that later.

First, it is very reasonable, which surprised me bc it is a Hyatt after all.  They have a concierge, attendants who help you out of your taxi and insist on getting your bags so you can get right in to check in. Who cares if they do it for the tips......their job is to assist and they do it gladly, which is what matters, not the $5 or $10 you are going to part with.

We checked in, and the woman informs us that we could either have a room that we paid in advance for which faces the airport, or for $30 more per night, we could have a room that faces downtown Boston, across the harbor.  I didn't think $30 was outrageous considering the view, so we took it. She put us on the highest floor, 15.

Glass elevators which looked out on the city. Just real classy.  Everything, extremely clean and anyone you meet is smiling, said hello and is eager to assist.

The restaurant across the lobby is fantastic. We went there for dinner that night. We went to the room, and it was BEAUTIFUL. And the view!!  Out of this world.

I decided to call the restaurant and ask if we could make reservations for that night, and the gentleman explained he just came in, could he call me back. I said sure, not expecting a call as usual wi everywhere else.

Ten minutes later, the room phone rings, I get a "hello Mr. Young. You are all set."  Amazing service.

We get to the restaurant, which of course overlooks downtown. They lead us over to a table next to the window with a "Reserved" sign on it. He removes it and pulls out the chair for my son. He was treated like a king.

Dinner was amazing. Food was incredible. Sure, expensive, but this is where the hotel makes their money especially considering the only other food source is taking a water taxi all the way downtown.

This is also whee your room service comes from, so expect much higher prices than other hotels. But, everything, including breakfast, was 100% amazing and hot and delicious. I set the breakfast for 8am, and 8am the knock came. Literally on the dot.  The only thing I didn't like was there was a $10 surcharge added to any room service order. I know that the meal prices are considerably higher than other places, but adding that surcharge is like Disneyland charging for ice in water. Like, enough.....

Anyway, the water taxi. You buy tickets at the front desk. Each round trip is $20 (STEEP). There are child prices, but I believe the child cutoff age is 11. Sharply lower for children. The plus is that if you don't use the tickets, you can save them for another trip or cash them back in. And, they are good for ANY water taxi, not just from the Hyatt to downtown. The taxi tickets are taxi tickets, not hotel tickets FOR the taxis.

There are ALWAYS at least one water taxi waiting at the Hyatt wharf and a.so at the corresponding Hyatt port on the downtown side. Always. When one leaves, there is the other to take its place.

The captains are totally nice. Amazingly. They are locals, they speak to you. It's a nice 5-10 minute ride across the harbor.

I think that is about it for the Hyatt. Oh and some would say "oh, but it is by the airport". I didn't hear or get awakened by one single airplane. Not one. So don't worry about it.

When we come back to Boston, I wouldn't hesitate, in fact I'd insist on staying here.  Keep up the good work.

I was a bit surprised no refrigerator in the room. When we arrived the people that worked for the hotel were very helpful. At least most of them, the person that checked us in was not very helpful nor was she very pleasant. I had asked for more coffee
For the room along with creamers ( one package is not nearly enough to lighten the coffee at all I think the packages shrunk)., however the women cleaning the rooms didn't understand English, so she told someone she worked with they called and said they'd bring it up to the room we waited for a little while but no one shows up. If you go down for coffee in the lobby they charge $5 for a small cup.
It was expensive between being charged for parking per day, then taking the water taxi over to the North end. But if you want to stay some place with a view over Boston Harbor this is the place to go.

I've never encountered a hotel staff more dedicated to outstanding customer service than the staff at the Hyatt here at the Boston Harborside.

From the front desk to the valet to the restaurant staff... Incidentally, the restaurant has a breathtaking view of the Boston Harbor... The staff is fully committed to getting everything perfect. There are so many examples to cite: The person in the elevator who wanted to make sure that my stay was excellent; the front desk staff and restaurant staff who did everything they could to expedite my check out and get me to the airport when I realized that my flight was earlier than I had thought, even offering me a cab to shuttle me from the car rental service station to the airport... I could go on and on with the many instances of friendliness I encountered.

In addition, the food in the restaurant was outstanding, and my hotel guestroom had a view of the harbor similar to that in the restaurant. I really loved my stay at this hotel.

Stayed here recently for a weekend trip. Nothing extravagant, but the rooms are clean and newly updated. Only downfall was that the walls are very thin! I thought it was funny they had earplugs in the room and at first I thought it was because it's located near the airport (I never heard a plane btw) but you can hear your neighbors cough the walls are so thin.
They have a 24 hour shuttle to and from the airport which was very convenient.
Hotel staff is friendly and the view from this hotel of the Boston harbor is postcard worthy :)
