Ramada Inn Boston is one of the cheaper rooms you can find in Boston or the immediate area.  There is definatley a reason it is the cheapisest, but I would hardly say it's bad place to stay.  The neighborhood is not the best in Boston, but it's not terrible.  If your looking to do something by the hotel there are 2 restaurants and a bowling alley on the property.  The hotel hallways look awful and make it look like your staying at a cheap motel.  However I was pleasently suprised to see the rooms were very clean and confortable.  They offer breakfast in the morning which is a pretty standard hotel breakfast.  Free wifi in all the rooms and there is a computer in the lobby with internet and a printer all free to use.  My biggest problem with the hotel is that they advertise themselves as by Fenway when in actuallity they are about a 10 minute ride, but still not terrible I just wouldn't say it is by Fenway.  In short if you are looking for a 5 star hotel you came to the wrong place, but if you are looking for a clean and cheap room then check out Ramada Inn Boston.

Can't say anything really bad about this place. The price was right for Boston and the free shuttle was amazing. The hotel is older, but has a free continental breakfast and is close to mass transit. Also has free WIFI.

Our stay here was decent. Checking in was quick and easy. We thought the hallways were kind of creepy, but whatever. There's a safe in the room so make sure you use it, because previous reviews report of thief. I stored my laptop and money in there just in case. The bed was clean and comfy. Our room did not have enough wall outlets, which sucked because we would have to charge our phones by taking out the TV or the lamp. The bathroom was pretty old and outdated..something was leaking and there was small amounts of water in the corner. Our door was so weird, I could not get it to open without some pushing and shoving.

They provide airport shuttle as well as a shuttle to the JFK/UMASS shuttle which is fantastic! The location is about 4 miles from Downtown Boston, and only takes maybe about 15 minutes to get there (more or less, I wasn't counting).

For a hotel near Boston, this one was pretty good. I was satisfied with the cleanliness of the room for the most part (which is saying a lot because I am a total germaphobe). The best part for me was the staff. Jahmel at the front desk was so friendly to my group and went the extra mile to help us! Even though he was the only person answering phones and checking people in at the same time he provided exceptional customer service. The shuttle service is nice, the only bad part is that if you want to go out late the subway stops running at 12:30 and you have to take a taxi (but that is more on the city of Boston for that one). The breakfast was fine and on par with what is typical of hotel breakfasts (waffle makers, bagels, cereal, eggs). The elevator is one thing I really didn't like: it sounded like it was death rattling. Also, I had a difficult time accessing the wi-fi which was super annoying and inconvenient. Thank god I did not have to send anything in for work or I would have lost it.

The service is great. The breakfast is yummy, including the waffle makers! They offer a shuttle to and from the airport and the local "T" station very frequently. The staff has been super courteous.

However, the room was a thumbs down. The beds were hard and uncomfortable. The bathroom was tiny. There was a bit of a 'moldy' odor. They cleaned it just fine every day. It will do but do not come here expecting any type of luxury.

Not a huge fan.  The hallways are run-down and like someone said below, "semi-indoors".  Very strange.  The sound of other room's ACs in the hallways is almost deafening.  Our door was REALLY hard to open, most of the time our room key didn't give the green light, and when it did, the 2 of us had to act like a battering ram to slam it open.  The shuttle to the T stop didn't go exactly as scheduled.  Also, you are supposed to be able to call any time to get someone to pick you up, and it took 15 minutes to even get someone to answer the phone at the front desk.  After that, the shuttle took over 1/2 an hour to get to the stop (literally a 5 minute drive away.)

On the plus side, the staff seemed pleasant and the continental breakfast was good.

My colleagues and I were forced to stay here (by our company)  for the Natural Products East Expo in October 2010.

Without question this was one of, if not the worst hotels I have ever stayed at.  Actually, it's not a hotel.  I wouldn't even call it an inn.  It's a motel.

    To put things in perspective;

    1. The hallways are "semi-indoors" (you'll have to see it to believe it)
    2. The sheets were dirty
    3. There were bugs in my colleague's room
    4. The furniture was dirty and old
    5. There's a secret "trick" to opening some of the doors (jiggle then lift up)

To cap it off....on our last night there the police were called because some guy was running through the halls naked harassing a maid.

Not a good place.  Not a safe place. Not a clean place.

Deceivingly run down. People have commented on the hallways and that was the first thing I noticed. This place looks like it had it's outdoor hallways enclosed with shoddy craftsmanship to make the hallways a part of the buidling. The hallways are enclosed in multiple mismatched window-like walls, so it gets hot in the hallways when the sun is out and super cold when it's cloudy. The rooms themselved are alright. The bed was creaky and the carpet and chairs were dirty from the years. The linens were clean, but I was still worried about finding roaches in this place (never actually saw one though). The rest of the room was unremarkable, but be careful in the shower because there are no foot grips, so you can easily fall in the slick tub.

This could possibly be the worst chain hotel experience I ever had. The ambiance of the hotel was creepy and dingy. The  room was cold and the heat didn't work properly. There were people coming and going and slamming doors all night and laughing in the hallways so it was very loud and impossible to sleep. Many things in the room did not work properly including the safe, which hung open sadly its batteries missing. I was required to go back out in the snow to put a sign in my window that marked me as a guest -- a first in my experience. When I woke up in the morning and went to the breakfast area to get some coffee, standing there sleepy and disoriented after a terrible loud and cold night,  I was immediately accosted by the person who runs the breakfast and told in a harsh voice that "bare feet aren't allowed in here." I was in my stocking feet, so my feet weren't bare. But I promise you, that is no way to greet a guest, a customer, or any human being first thing in the morning. Especially someone who has paid 100 bucks for a terrible experience. If she had said, "Good morning. How'd you sleep? We have a lot of nice things for breakfast. But unfortunately, you need to have shoes to come in here. if you could just go back to your rom and get some shoes on..." I dunno. I can't tell people how to talk to other people. I just know that yelling at disgruntled customers first thing in the morning is bad business. I will never stay here again, that is  certain. PS: The guys at the desk were both (night and morning) pretty nice.

The hotel may not look all that great, but we really enjoyed our stay here.  The staff are very friendly and had no problem extending us a 2 hour late check out, which I thought was awesome.

The desk & chair were very comfortable and they gave us a refrigerator (you do have to request this) and tons of extra pillows, I think I ended up sleeping with 10 pillows.   The beds were comfortable and The Freeport Tavern is just seconds away (walking distance easily) loved that place.  We would stay here again for sure.

Free:  Parking & Fast Internet! :)

So happy it's just one night stand, this is a proof that one can't trust pictures, bad service, misleading ads, on line through orbits said no extra fee for dogs when got here they charge me $15, hotel made me signed waiver that I wouldn't smoke in room or I would have to paid a $260 fine when a got to room which was old and depressing the rooms smelled so bad, that I have to request a room change, I was told hotel was booked, (I guess I wasn't the only victim) they change me to another room that I could walk without shoes because the carpet was soaking wet, and I didn't many ion how old and awful the elevator and hallways are, never again

Somewhere between a two & a three rating. When I called to make the reservation I was told it was less than a mile & about a five minute walk to the T station. It is well over a mile & not the nicest area. There is, however, a shuttle that runs every half hour until 11 pm. I was also told that there was plenty of parking on-site, which seemed to be true. There was something wrong with the elevator button. The concierges were civil but not all that helpful. The room was clean, but the A/C system was glitchy. Continental breakfast was pretty good. Quick & easy check-out. Oh, and there was a homeless man hanging out on the emergency exit staircase outside our room for hours that maintenance saw & did nothing about.

Nothing about this stay was pleasant.  They were nasty and thieves.

Part 1: Showed up to the hotel in the night, couldn't find our room and none of the staff we found seemed willing to help us find it.  Also, all the hallways smelled like mold and the carpeting was all soaking wet (weren't near pool either and it wasn't even open).  Staff didn't seem at all friendly during check-in.

Part 2: Woke up by the maid in the morning and went to get breakfast.  The continental breakfast was PITIFUL.  We were one of the first people to get there and we still weren't at all impressed.  Also noticed how dirty and dingy our room was in the light.  None of us wanted to touch anything or walk around without shoes on.

Part 3: THE BIG FINALE!  Maid stole my credit card and tried returning it to my room before I got back.  Fortunately, she was busted and just spent several hundred dollars in a trip to Boston to go to court over it.  At no point during or after all the events did the hotel seem at all apologetic.  I know it wouldn't have changed anything but they didn't seem to take any action at all.

Never going to stay at a Ramada again if they're all like this.  First experience with Ramada Inns and Boston... both terrible first impressions and won't be back to either.

Crappy hotel in a crappy location. Rooms are sub- par, with doors facing out to open walkways. Towel propping open an indoor door. Located right next to highway. Heating cooling unit was loud going off and on during the night waking us up(besides hearing the sound of cars on the highway). Rusty ironing board. No separate  area for sink in bathroom-just a door for shower and toilet(except a wall- so someone else sleeping in room can hear hair dryer etc.)
Fine if you want to eat at a so-so restaurant next door and go bowling 24/7 (alley next door on other side). To think we paid $200.00 -could have had 4 star room on hotwire for that price-

Very poor customer service at front desk!Room heater/ air conditioner controls on wall prevent you from making the room comfortable. Very small room. This place has seen better days. Carpets really worn and dirty. very noisy location. They gave me a comment card but I doubt they will read it.  I have stayed at other Ramada's and this is by far the worst!

Do not go to this hotel.

While every individual staff member we encountered was pleasant and polite, the larger structure they were working in failed us in nearly every way. Their Hotels.com listing noted that they had a courtesy airport shuttle, the main reason we picked this hotel: when we arrived at the airport, we had to call the hotel twice before getting information on how to find the shuttle. After checking in, we went back and forth to the desk 3 times because our card keys weren't working: the desk staff suggested that we "must not be doing it right," as if their cards were somehow different from the card keys at every other hotel in the US.

After a poor night's sleep because of the noisy hall traffic, we attempted to take the shuttle back to the airport to get our rental car and proceed with our trip. After over an hour's wait and being turned away by at least 6 shuttles traveling everywhere but the airport, we returned to the front desk and asked to talk to a manager. We were told that the manager wasn't available, we'd have to wait another half hour for a shuttle back to the airport, and that there was nothing more they could do for us.

At this point, we are sitting in the hotel lobby after almost 90 minutes, still waiting for our shuttle back to the airport (advertised as running every half hour).

This is the last time I book a hotel without looking at Yelp reviews first. I have learned my lesson. Don't make the same mistake!

Hotel is to  be expected .. Not bad but not great. Close to town and cheap.  Hotel staff entered our room twice this morning after knocking we shouted that we were here and they still opened the door .. First time at 8am!! Second time at 11 and after the closes it I hear "it's a female" from a male worker! My husband looked out and saw that it was a ramada employee the first time for sure . I called the front and they said they'll talk to them.  I would think entering a room twice would get a discount or something but nope! Glad we're leaving today!!  Also wifi didn't work half the time and tv onky had kid channels

If I could give this rat trap negative stars, I would without hesitation. I had a 4 night stay booked there. When I arrive, the front desk actually told me they'd put me in a room on "the safer, quieter side of the hotel". I was literally told that, which is obviously not a good sign. The room itself was dirty, severely outdated, lights not working, broken chair. To make matters worse, there were all kinds of people loitering outside the hotel with open cans of alcohol, making noise.

I left after first night, the place was disgusting and borderline unsafe. Avoid at all costs.

Not many options around Dorchester, but this place certainly has some room for improvement. Our room was down an obscure hallway that was so cold it felt like it was outside - picture an old outdoor motel situation where they have put in a wall here and a door there and called it a hotel. The walls were paper thin, so I was awoken multiple times during the night by voices in the hallway. The highlight was the hot breakfast, with a lot of options, waffle maker, bagels, oatmeal, eggs, fruit, etc. Water pressure in the shower was great and the bed was comfy, but the shower was not very clean and the shower head was too short for my 5'7 frame. I might be inclined to just spring for a room in the city in the future and get out here on transit. This place is not where it's at.

Pro: At least there is a free shuttle.
    Con: Breakfast was mediocre.

This hotel had everything we needed for our one night stay. Clean and friendly staff. We missed breakfast, so I can't comment on how good or bad it was. Parking was way and free. My only issue was that when we got back to the hotel very late, we asked if they knew of anyone that was delivering still. The concierge gave us a menu to a place that was delivering pizza. Perfect! We thought....
It turns out that this company is a scam and takes advantage of their customers. I do not think the hotel should be promoting this type of restaurant to people who are not familiar with the area...

I checked in last night. Lobby looks ok. The rest of the hotel should be demo and rebuild. My room is by the highway and doesn't have internet service because it's so far from the center of the hotel - I was told. The only wedding machines are on first floor and only takes dollar or coins. I had a dollar but everything costs 2 dollars. No ATM no money changer or anything.
Bathroom so tiny almost can't fit in it. Hallways smells bad and looks terrible. The elevator so loud sounds like it's wants to fall down. This is was my first (and last) experience with Ramada

What an absolute disgrace!  This is by far the worst hotel that I have ever stayed at! The only good thing about this place was how comfortable the beds were!

A lot of shady people from the lobby to the hallways. I found a homeless woman charging her cell phone sitting down in the hallway on my way to my room. You do not need your card for most of the exterior doors because they are broken and do not secure. The computer in the lobby is always taken at all hours of the night.

I later found out that the hotel takes in section 8 people and drug addicts. Know wonder I felt like I was at a hallway house.

This is a very unsafe place to stay.

Ramada Inn should be ashamed of themselves!

Service - Everyone is really helpful. The shuttle drivers are really jovial.

Ambience - Not a great layoutm Corridors are really narrow and most rooms have no windows. The house cleaning cart generally blocks the hallway and it becomes a pain to move your luggage. Check your keys work at the reception itself. I had to run back and forth to the reception due to some faulty keys.

Cost - At $110 per room for a night, I expected far better.
