Very nice, new hotel in great location for a Red Sox game which I stayed for on 8/16/13.  Staff was very friendly.  A couple of compaints though.  Toiletries in the bathroom consisted of shampoo, conditioner and soap.  Nothing else.  No body wash or lotion which as a platinum member, I take as an absolute given no matter what class of hotel (Courtyard, Fairfield Inn, etc.).  Things like mouthwash, cotton balls, q-tips, etc. would have also been appreciated.  When I asked housekeeping, they told me'd I'd need to get these from the fron desk.  Come on guy's, this is basic stuff you shouldn't skimp on.  Also, about midnight I had to call the front desk because of all the noise on the floor above me (I was in 717).  It sounded like furniture being moved around.  I know the deck was closed at that time so it had to be hotel staff.  Problem was resolved within minutes of my call however.  So hotel has great potential if they can adjust these few kinks.

Stayed here last Thursday after a holiday party in the city. The location was perfect and the hotel itself is great - new, clean, and everything you may need. We made sure to check out the roof deck after seeing reviews online and a card about it in the room.

We stayed here overnight and for a Boston hotel, it was very reasonably priced.  The eating area was very clean and the breakfast was a cut above the usual (e.g., an eggs benedict-like muffin).  The room was a little small, but again very clean.  Unfortunately, it was only valet parking, and this was an extra $40, so be warned.

I just called for a reservation and asked to speak to someone on the hotel premises. I was told by a gentleman at the front desk that their reservationists were at the hotel, but when I was transferred, the reservationists was unfamiliar with Boston & said she was not located at the hotel. Don't you just hate it when someone whose job is customer service outright lies to you?

This hotel looks brand new.  It is close to Fenway park and a few clubs. Since we checked in on Saturday night, there were lots of club-goers around. But we felt safe around the area. The studio room we got has a small kitchen with everything you need and the bed was very comfy. Everything was clean and neat. You can park at the Standard parking garage down the block for less than half the rate of the hotel parking. I would definitely recommend this for anyone looking to stay around this area.

My buddy Steve and I drove from Long Island to catch a few Red Sox games to watch the Boston Marathon and from the moment we pulled up to the moment we checked out, the service was fantastic, friendly and professional. From Ryan the manager to Audrey who checked us in was a great experience. Check in took all of 3 minutes then Audrey spent about 10 minutes with us going over where to eat and places to visit. The hotel has a great rooftop bar overlooking Boston and Fenway Park and was a great place to throw back a few pops. The hotel was clean and very cared for. When we wanted to extend our stay one extra night at the last minute, Dottie came to our rescue by securing us one of the last rooms and she did it at the best price she could. She also spent time with us helping us with dinner choices for the evening. I will stay only at the Residence Inn Back Bay/Fenway whenever I visit my beloved Red Sox and I HIGHLY suggest all of you do the same-you wont be disappointed!!

I highly recommend this hotel  especially if the Red Sox are your thing.  Literally less than a 5 minute slow walk from Fenway.  The hotel is less than a 10 minute walk from the Fenway T station and just a few minutes more to the Kenmore T stop.  Felt perfectly safe in the area.  Lots of restaurants in an easy walk.  Cab ride from airport was $35 with tip.  Riding the T to the airport from the hotel took about 40 minutes from Kenmore Station since you have to backtrack a bit because Government Center station is shut down for another year or two.  Another tip on riding the T to this hotel ... you can ride from the airport to  the Fenway station but you can't easily ride the T from the Fenway station TO the airport.  The breakfast was free and much better than what I've experienced at other Residence Inns.  Additionally the  Manager's Reception in the evening actually had real food so if you're on a budget you could actually make a dinner of it.  We had a room that had zero view and faced the non-street side.  The bad news of course was no view but the good news is I think it was quieter because there were no sirens or traffic noise.  Staff was nice and allowed us a little later checkout since our flight was late and we had more to see in Boston.  Room was nice and of course had the small kitchen and a full size refrigerator.  My only small complaint was there were no sheets, blankets or pillows for the sofabed.  I guess you have to request those whereas in most cases those are already in the room.

Caution: I had two rings stolen from my room when I stayed here. Every time I called to see if they had been returned to the Lost and Found, I was directed to an answering machine so it took numerous calls to confirm that they had not been returned. I would not recommend staying here if you can avoid it.

This place was wonderful! We were in town visiting our daughter who attends BU! Got a Sox game in and lots of shopping. The location is perfect! Many new places for great food and drinks are all super close! The room was great! The service was great and the roof top bar was great! We will stay here again! We used Hotel Tonight app as that is how we found this great place!

we thoroughly enjoyed the 5 nights we spent at this new residence inn in august.  the location is fantastic - basically across the street from fenway in the back bay area.  since boston has (arguably, by me) the US's best public transportation system, you can easily get to anywhere from this hotel.  in fact, don't bring or rent a car or, if you have a car, park it and forget about it until you're ready to leave boston - because a car is just a hassle and the T makes getting anywhere a piece of cake.

speaking of pieces of cake, this residence inn is close to a couple of awesome restaurants.  get up in the morning and stroll over to neighborhoods (that's the name of the place) to enjoy the coffees and crepes, and remember - as long as you put fruit in it, it's healthy! (said after eating a strawberry/banana/NUTELLA crepe as big as my head one morning for breakfast, but i digress)...have awesome italian for dinner at tiny, charming trattoria toscana.  and yeah, i'm not reviewing those places here but it is important to know there's good stuff right around the hotel (also a grocery store within walking distance).

this is an all-suite hotel.  our 1-bedroom suite was very small - almost like they took a regular sized (US) hotel room and put a wall down the middle to make it 2 rooms.  by european standards, the suite was just right.  we really liked having the kitchenette with full sized fridge so we could stock up on snacks and beverages and not feel the need to go out for every meal (as if i'd ever need to eat again after that crepe...).  the suite was clean and comfortable.

hotel staff was outstanding - super friendly, attentive, and helpful.

one of my favorite things about the hotel is the balcony up on the 8th floor where they have a bar that opens, i think, around 4:30 each day - nothing fancy, just a small walk up bar.  not sure why the bar is not mentioned on their website, but it made the balcony our happy hour spot every day.  the balcony is long and narrow, and includes several seating areas with different options (tables and chairs, loungers, etc.  one of the nights we were there, JT and Jay Z were performing at fenway and so we got to enjoy a little of that, although sure it was a bit muffled and we couldn't actually see anything.

they also have an adequate fitness center up there, and a small indoor pool, in case you want to work off some of the indulgence.

we would not hesitate to stay here again.

Super friendly staff, clean rooms with great amenities and fixtures (that were designed really well), comfy beds, excellent complimentary services like free WiFi that is actually pretty fast, a swimming pool with great hours (7am-10pm), a 24 hour gym, and, best of all, an excellent location. Parking may be kind of tough because it is in Boston, so be prepared to pay for your car to stay in the Fenway garage, or I think they have a valet service for $40 or so. I was lucky enough to find parking right in front when the Red Sox weren't playing, but other than that I really love this hotel. Cannot recommend this place enough and the breakfast is really good; lots of healthy options, which I appreciate.

Can't say enough great things about this hotel. I have stayed here a few times now and every time I stay it is a great experience. The rooms are beautiful, clean, and very spacious. The service is always good. And the roofttop lounge they have is amazing! They have a bar open from 5-9 up there as well. It is nice to relax up there and look out at the city. The complimentary breakfast is yummy as well. Will definately keep staying here whenever I want a mini getaway.

Just returned from our trip to Boston yesterday. Very good location within walking distance from Kenmore subway station, Marshalls, grocery stores, restaurants and Fenway but staff ruined it for me. My family had an extremely long day traveling and continued to have a bad day when we were greeted by silent doormen staring up and down at us without smiles on their faces or they were on their phones/surfing the Internet in the computers next to them. The front desk lady who helped us did not smile at all and looked troubled when she realized she actually had to do something. We asked if we could have a room facing Brookline and she looked at her computer for about 2 seconds before saying no, everything is booked. We called another lady the front desk a few minutes later from our initial room and instantly got placed in a room facing Brookline. In the morning, the breakfast manager (boss?) an older woman looked extremely irritated and grouchy and gave a hearty sigh whenever someone asked her something. Later she was yelling at her employee in the middle of the breakfast buffet for everyone to obstacle around. Be a little more professional? The men who came to pick up our plates just swooped up the plates and ran off without asking if we were finished with the food. However, our housekeeper (Ena I believe) was very kind and courteous and a man at the front desk was also nice in giving us directions. For the most part, the terrible service from most of the employees ruined our trip to Boston. Tip-Brookline has better views but can be noisy in the morning with honking cars and street workers.

Love it's close proximity to Fenway Park. Really enjoyed my stay. Hotel is really new and it shows. Uber Modern version of this chain by Marriott yet it gives you the comfort of home.

And when you stay make sure you head up to the roof top patio it's an awesome view and if you head to end of patio the CITCO sign is there for you to stare at for hours. So grab a drink or bring some food up and enjoy a summer night.

Not the Hotels fault but we arrived and they were booked and the only room left that they had was next to a flooded room that had monster fans blarring.

Needless to say they were kind and made arraignments to stay at another Residence Inn. They picked up the first night, the taxi ride over, and the parking of my car....In my book that is pretty stellar service.

Location is top notch. Right across from Fenway. You can walk to loads of shopping, dinning, and drinking establishments.

This neighborhood, Back Bay has an amazing vibrancy to it.

If you are coming as a tourist this would be a great place to stay as the location is pretty stellar.

Thank you Dottie for all your help and the amazing service. I am a loyal Marriott  fan because of wonderful people like you!!!!

    Amazing.

Location cannot be beat, breakfast is terrific (and I normally don't even EAT breakfast) and there is dinner 3x week (Mon-Wed) in the lobby.  My room is about the size of a studio condo but 10x nicer; really, I would live here if I could.

Everyone who works here is INCREDIBLY nice, and a huge shout-out to Jerrill at the Front Desk.  Give this man a raise, day-off AND a promotion!

Lastly, folks, please do not complain about valet parking for $40 in Boston:  either don't drive to the city, or you can pay OR you can park at a meter for free overnight (a "why didn't I think of that" moment!) and then the garage at the Buckminster Hotel has an $11 ALL DAY deal for you.  Do that.  But really, $40 is still cheaper than DC, NY and you cannot see the Citgo sign from there!!!

The location is the closest Marriott property to Dana Farber Cancer Institute, if that's important to you.

    Pros:
    The staff is nice.
The property seems really clean and well kept

    Cons:
Since it's so close to Fenway, it's noisy on game nights
    Gets pricey on game nights

    Fantastic hotel!  GREAT VALUE!
The property was wonderful with a warm inviting lobby.  My room beautifully decorated... spacious, modern, clean and had a full kitchen!
The property is centrally located, easy to get everywhere.
The best part of my stay was the staff... everyone was so gracious, and welcoming.  Audrey at the front desk is fantastic!.
The complimentary breakfast was exceptional and the choices change every day.  They also offer complimentary happy hour/dinner socials a few days per week... a nice touch when traveling alone.
I cannot say enough how wonderful this hotel is... I travel constantly and really appreciate finding such great and affordable place to stay in the heart of Boston.
I will absolutely stay here again.
Thanks to all the staff for an amazing experience!
