I have to agree with Kate. The room was fine. Free internet. Free coffee. All good. The circa-1990 television was kinda cute. But the location was awful. We did a lot of walking to the T at considerable personal risk.

Too far from the fun parts of town and too close to the ghetto. Homeless people lurking in this area. Pool table in the lobby is cool. They have a bar too. Cabs can take up to 35 minutes to come get you so call ahead and pay attention so other people don't snake your taxi because they will.

Great price, all the amenities of the more expensive hotels in downtown Boston. Extremely clean, quiet, and a friendly staff. About a 5 minute drive into downtown. What more could you ask for?

I neglected to book my hotel for the American Psychological Association convention in Boston before the rooms were all sold out, and I ended up outside the city in the ONLY affordable alternative, the Boston Courtyard by Marriott South Boston. Upon arriving at this hotel, I really wanted to kick myself for not making the deadline for booking at a conference hotel in the city. This hotel is in the middle of NOWHERE, I really felt like I was in hell, and it was only about to get worse...

When I was checking in, there was a woman in front of me at the desk complaining about her room and asking to be moved to another room, I did not think anything of it, until I arrived at my room with key in hand. The door was open! There were people inside! The same woman was inside and informed me "Don't worry, we'll be out of here in a minute, we're just moving to another room!!" I marched back downstairs and requested to be moved to a new, clean, and UNINHABITED room!! How bizarre that their computer would place a new customer in a room that had not been fully processed (i.e., vacated and cleaned) before booking again?!?!

The young man at the desk was very helpful and IMMEDIATELY moved me to a new room that was actually quite nice. The room itself was very clean, updated, large fridge, wireless internet, cozy bed, clean bathroom...I really have no complaints about the room itself.

The location of the hotel itself really sucks if you are expecting to be close to the city. The hotel is RIGHT NEXT DOOR to a giant big box shopping center with all the major retailers (Target, Old Navy, etc). From my window, I had a view of the Home Depot every morning! This is a really scary thought especially for someone who is expecting to come to the city to get AWAY from that crap. But alas, like I said, I got screwed because I waited too long to book my hotel and got shut out of every available hotel room not priced above 400bucks a night in the city!!

After calling every imaginable hotel in the city to inquire about availabilities, I was finally resigned to staying here for the entirety of my conference. I was forced to reappraise and see some positive in the situation including:

    * Free wireless Internet service
    * Within walking distance to a T stop
    * Free airport shuttle (to and from hotel)
    * Clean and updated guest rooms
    * One good locally owned and operated restaurant within walking distance (see yelp.com/biz/224-boston-… )

One last thing that really ticked me off...When I arrived, I asked about how to get to the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center. The man at the desk told me how to take the train to get there. I asked if the complimentary shuttle could take me and he said no because it is reserved for trips to/from the airport and nearby. On the LAST DAY that I was in the hotel, I called down for the front desk to get a cab for me to the exhibition center. The young man at the desk informed me that the complimentary shuttle would be leaving for the convention center in FIVE MINUTES! WTH?!?! A fellow traveler on the shuttle informed me that he had been taking the shuttle EVERY DAY to the conference.  This inconsistency in the information that I received really annoyed me. I don't think the right hand knows what the left hand is doing in this hotel.

If you really don't care about the location and are content with taking the train in and out of the city, then this hotel will be just fine for you. But if you are like me and prefer to not feel like you're in the suburbs even if you're just there for work, then I would recommend that you don't make my mistake -- BOOK IN ADVANCE, especially when there are about to be 16,000 psychologists descending on the city.

Slow service, there's usually only one concerige even during prime hours and they're pretty nasty.  If you need a cab you should probably just call yourself.  I'll give it two stars because it's close to the train and it was clean.

The place is decent. The rooms are clean and surprisingly quiet on New Year's Eve, and there's a fridge in the room. However, the negatives outweigh the positives here.

I checked into the room, and there were no pillows. I went right back to the front desk and let them know, and they arrived in about an hour -- not a huge deal, but I was ready to take a nap right when I got there but had to stay awake to wait for the pillows.

Second, the TV didn't work, so I called the front desk, who gave me quick instructions on what to try, then hung up. Luckily I was able to figure it out by myself.
Next was when I decided to take a dip in the postage-stamp-sized pool...(which was about 86 degrees and the water felt slimy) and I went to hop into the jacuzzi, which didn't turn on. I went out to the front desk where I was told the jacuzzi was out of order. No apologies, nothing. This bothered me because I specifically chose this hotel because of the jacuzzi.

I head back to my room hoping to take a nice hot shower... but to no avail. The water was lukewarm at best, even after letting it run for about a minute before getting in. However, as I was about to get out, the hot water suddenly kicked in on a scalding temperature.

I decided to go out to get some food, only to return to no parking. I drove around the lot, literally, a dozen times. Finally I went inside and asked what they would suggest, or if I can leave it in one of the many vacant handicap spots. The front desk clerk was very rude, she took 2 phone calls while I was in mid-conversation with her! She told me to "make up a spot" but that if security comes around, I'll be towed. After an hour of looking for a spot, I finally went out onto the street in the really crappy neighborhood behind the hotel and parked there. Luckily, my car was still there and unscathed in the morning.

Overall, this hotel sucks. For what I paid, I could have stayed at a much nicer place.

The rooms are clean, everyone that works there is polite and helpful...until you're in your room. I called the front desk for some silverware and it took half an hour and my food was cold by the time it came. The location isn't the greatest and I regret cancelling my reservation at the Hilton to save a few bucks.

This is the email I sent to the General Manager of this property. You read it and decide. Keep in mind, I have never needed to contact a GM to complain before. As a Platinum Marriott Rewards member, I would have expected better treatment even though you should receive quality service regardless of tier status. Here's the email:

    Thank you for your email.

I just wanted to get in touch with you to let you know that my experience at
your hotel was very poor. To begin, I had reserved 2 nights under 2 separate
reservations for one night each. The reason for that is the first night I
used my points and made a reward reservation and the second night I was
paying. When I arrived at the hotel, I asked the front desk agent if he
could combine the two reservations so that I would not have to check out and
check back in or if he could make the keys valid for both nights to save me
a trip to the front desk again. His attitude was very non-caring as if I was
asking him to go above and beyond his normal duties and he replied, "NO,
you'll need to check out and check back in." In addition, in case he didn't
see it on my preferences, I asked him for a room on a higher floor away from
the elevator, in which no reply was given. When he assigned me to room 215 I
thought, ok...maybe nothing else was available. But when I arrived to my
room, 215 was across from the elevator bank as well, as if he intentionally
assigned me to a room in which I specifically asked to stay away from. My
girlfriend headed back downstairs to ask for a comb from the same front desk
agent. He was more concerned with his phone conversation, making plans for
after work, and made her stand there and wait while he finished his phone
call. When she came back upstairs and explained to me what just happened, I
had no intentions of going back to the front desk and requesting to be
reassigned another room or to argue with your front desk agent. I
immediately canceled my reservation for the next night and decided to move
    immediately the next day.

To compound matters, later at night there was no hot water...slightly warm.
When I called the front desk, the response I received from the clerk was
that's normal just wait for awhile. A little later, my girlfriend comes to
find that the hair dryer didn't work and she called the front desk, but this
time, there was no answer even after calling a few times.

Throughout the night, we constantly heard the banging of the door from the
laundry room across from us and the elevators. I'm sure at this point, you
get the picture of what I am trying to convey to you as to my experience at
    your hotel.

I understand you can't please 100% of the people 100% of the time, but I
believe I wasn't that demanding. These were just normal expectations that I
would assume anyone would have when staying at any hotel. I hope you'll be
able to take my concerns into consideration with your staff and maybe be
    more customer service oriented.

after reading all the reviews i had my doubts going to the hotel. knowing its a bit hard to find, i called the hotel as soon as we got off the high way, and followed their directions and found it in no time.
the place is also not sketchy. i mean if you are from the middle of nowhere then yes this place may look shady, but coming from new york. i didn't feel unsafe at all. even the people on between the highways asking for money were nice!
also driving to the city center was like a close 10 min drive. we had dinner in south boston toward the water. along broadway. alot of restaurants and bars.
also drove around boston for sightseeing. didn't take the T once. yes parking is hard to find, but it's one of those things where you just give a little time, i always found parking. and even the none free 2 hour ones, i was okey with. cause downtown boston is so small... each neighborhood is so walkable. once ur done u can just hop back in ur car n go to another spot. not a problem at all.
hotel wise... sorry! very clean hotel, clean rooms. which is more important to me than anything else. super big beds. slept well. no problems.

I have to say that I would have given this hotel 4 stars if not for the location. The registration desk people there were extremely friendly and helpful. My contacts told me not to go out at night in this area, but it wasn't bad. Also, this place was kind of expensive $239 a nite which the Marriott in Waikiki was 10 times nicer and costs less. This place is a few miles from downtown Boston, a little far from all the places you would go and visit. The other plus....free wi-fi for the internet.

I would really give this hotel 3.5 stars if I could.  The hotel itself was clean, had a fridge in the room as well as a flat screen TV, had a friendly and helpful staff, a shuttle to the airport for $5 a person, and two computers with free internet. It was also close to a shopping center.
It was a few blocks' walk to the nearest T stop.  My friend and I went out both nights that we stayed there, and just to be on the safe side, took cabs back instead of walking late at night.
It was about a $10 cab ride from the city to the hotel, which we thought was reasonable.  It's not the best or most happening location, but considering we only booked a week in advance, this option worked just fine.
Overall, a nice hotel that would be better if it were a little closer to downtown or in a little bit of a safer neighborhood.

I took a trip to Boston alone to explore the city. I wasn't interested in paying the high prices of the Wharf Marriott so I chose this location.  I thought the room was very nice and clean and quiet.  I only have one minor complaint that the TV was in an awkward location and hard to see from the bed.

The T station was relatively close.  I didn't feel 100% safe walking there alone and I avoided doing that walk at night.  But I think if you aren't alone, it would be fine.

The staff was friendly to me and the free internet was a good bonus.  I also liked that there were good stores very close (Best Buy, Target)

Yowza! Customers have had some rough experiences at this Courtyard. Maybe this will turn people away and eventually lower the prices. Two years ago it was almost always less than $175 to stay in this hotel. I would usually land a stay for around $135, but it appears that the prices have skyrocketed to around $225. Over the years my Courtyard stays have always been positive. As a Hilton member I'm pretty loyal to their brand, but I do make an exception for this Courtyard. The free outdoor parking and proximity to the Andrew Square T stop is a major bonus. If you're not familiar with driving in the Boston area, this hotel can be particularly difficult to drive to, especially during rush hour. The South Boston Courtyard can be a bargain if you can book it for less than $190.00.

I would rate this higher, seeing that the rooms were clean and the hotel was located next to shops and restaurants. However, the customer service was extremely lacking. I went I the desk to buy a soda, and was clearly waiting in line behind the only customer at the desk. I was then passed over my the woman working he desk for 3 customers that came into the hotel after I had placed myself in line to pay for my drink. I asked if I could just pay, an was told to wait until she was done. This is not the kind of treatment a guest deserves, and if I was in town for more than one night, I would have booked another hotel and left this one immediately.

I really have a few things I use to rate a hotel. I really don't care about the friendliness of the staff, and usually don't judge based on service on check-in.  For me, it is more about how fast the Internet is, the quality of the television, whether or not there is a fridge, price of parking and how easy it is to get to where I want to go.

For this hotel, the Internet (wired) was fast enough for me, the hotel is close enough to the T (subway) for me to easily get downtown or over to cambridge, and the TV was adequate.  Free parking.  No fridge (not all courtyards have them).  I don't like that their breakfasts costs so much -- so I just got my food from somewhere else.  This hotel is also not the easiest to get to (the mapped location on Google Maps is off just a little) and there is a one way street to get to it, so getting back to the shopping area is easier to walk than drive.

I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel.  The room was clean, fridge was large and cold, free wifi was great.  Walking distance to the T is nice, though parts of town are a bit sketchy. Convenient in case you need some groceries or forgotten items that Target and other stores are right there, though it is easier to walk to those stores than drive!!!
Staff was super friendly. We requested service for our room (couldn't figure out the TV) and they were VERY prompt!! Less than 5 minutes!
Only two things holding this hotel back from 5 stars:
-Blankets should be thicker in the winter time at least
-Free continential breakfast would be fantastic, not crazy about paying $11.95 for basic breakfast, might as well upgrade for another $1.

Relatively good location and walking distance from the T. We stayed here for 7 nights in mid October of 2012 and it was pretty good for what it is, a location for wash up and get shuteye. Even though they provide shuttle service every 30min to the nearest red line T station, we didn't even use it once during our stay. The walk was only 10 to 15min max so we opted to walk rather than wait. The walk is not exactly through the friendliest neighborhood and cleanest streets, although it is relatively busy with passing cars, so I'd suggest to walk in a group in the wee hours of late night. When we stayed there they were asking for mid 200's per night which is pretty budget friendly for access to Boston/Cambridge. Overall they had everything we needed for a reasonable price.

Standard Courtyard rooms and amenities. Older style lobby-- which I actually prefer-- and it has a pool table. Parking is free and it's actually only a 10 minute drive to downtown once you figure out the route. Seems overpriced at about 175/night but it's a bargain with comparable hotels downtown running over 300.

I stayed at this Courtyard a couple of weeks ago for 2 overnights for a business trip. I always stay at Marriott family hotels because they are always at least decent and I get points.  This Courtyard was very clean and they had a cafe on premises which is always convenient. However the best part was the awesome customer service I received at the front desk. Chester, Bobby and Andy were very kind and helpful. I would definitely recommend this hotel to other travelers.

Fantastic location, service, room, and overall experience. would certainly stay here again. There is a shuttle that will take you to the Andrew Redline to get to the fun stuff, or you can burn some calories with the safe 5 min walk. Also nearby is a bunch of chain restaurants and a target, which is convenient for travelers for a late bite or emergency items.

I had a really great experience staying at this hotel. I probably dealt with 4 or 5 different employees at the front, and all were extremely pleasant and helpful. They helped accommodate my requests for early check in and late check out. They helped me arrange for a cab, and helped me access the nearest public transportation. My room was clean and updated. I would suggest asking for a room not near the elevator; mine was by the elevator and across from the ice machine, which is why I give this place a 4, instead of 5. That was rowdy. I suggest enclosing the ice machine area with a door to cut back on the noise. There's a decent selection of snacks and beverages for purchase. I accessed the fitness room, which was clean and all machines seemed to be working. Two different employees checked on the equipment/area while I was in there. Fyi- full length mirror is behind the bathroom door. You do have to go through a shady part of town to get here. Is 0.4 miles from the red line.

If driving google maps may take you to the one way exit off of Boston road! Check that out in advance! Price is right. Not the best location but if you are traveling for work  and don't need to be right downtown works perfectly fine. Fitness center is too small. Otherwise what you would expect for a courtyard.

Stayed here over the weekend.  Hotel was in a good location - a few minute walk to the Andrew St "T" station that I used all weekend and there is a shopping plaza just behind the hotel in case you forgot anything and they also offer free parking, they allow you to keep your car there until 2:30 the day that you check out so it is a great time to take advantage of a few extra hours of site seeing.  I didn't spend much time in the room exept for sleeping but the room was nice, clean, and the bed was comfortable.  I would defintiely stay here again.

Confession: When we drove into Boston and into this hotel, I was bummed out by its location.  I was not familiar with the city when I was booking it and had no idea where it was.

Yes, the area is a little sketchy BUT the hotel is actually pretty nice.  The staff was very professional and kind.  The rooms were pretty big even though we had two queens (a rarity).  The fridge was clean but a bit noisy (we turned it off).  It was pretty quiet.  The best part?  Free wifi and Free parking!!!!  However, due to the Boston Marathon we paid $299 a night.  I feel it is a $199 value.

Extra tip:  GPS and maps don't find it easily.  After 4 days, we still were turning wrong.  It is not hidden just off beat.  Drive through the Target parking lot.

I'm currently staying in the hotel and haven't had the best experience so far. I've stayed in many Marriott hotels and hotels in general since I travel quite often, so I'm very disappointed with this experience. When I checked-in, the staff wasn't very friendly and the room assigned to me smelled of smoke. I'm glad it was easy to switch rooms, but  now this new room's fridge was making whistling noises and I had to unplug it. The heater is very loud and there is a constant whirring sound that is bothersome. It sounds like a shower vent/fan is on somewhere next to me or above me. I called to have a blanket sent to my room and all I got was an "ok" and still no blanket. I hope when I come back on Monday, it will be a better experience.

I've stayed here a few times and found that this Courtyard Marriott is the perfect place for what I need.

First & foremost, this Marriott is NOT inside the city Its slightly on the outskirts, in industrial South Boston, and a bit far from the Boston hot spots (via public transportation). If its your first time visiting Boston and you don't have a car, I wouldn't really recommend this location. That being said, I will still here every time I go to boston because:

I went to school in Boston and I have a car. There is no need for me to pay $200+ to stay inside the city when I can easily navigate myself there in a quick 5 min. drive. Anyway, there is a free shuttle to the T stop even if I don' want to drive.

You can beat the price (for this quality hotel). The most I ever paid was $169 (+tax) and that was on New Years Eve. I've paid under $100 previously.

I actually really like the location of this hotel. There is a large free parking lot, and the hotel is located in the back end of South Bay shopping center. You can walk over to the Target if you need basically, anything... and there's also an Olive Garden, Applebees, and Panera for a quick cheap breakfast or a late bite.

The hotel itself is pretty nice. Its definitely not 4 star, but the rooms are big (the standard room with king size bed includes a small couch, desk, table, and huge bathroom). The beds are super comfortable, and everything is clean and fresh. There is also a mini fridge and keurig in each room (with K-cups). In the lobby they have free coffee 24 hours, a cozy fireplace, pool table, and a bar (although I've never seen it open). There is also a pool and hot tub. Internet is free and very easy to set up.

I definitely wouldn't get the breakfast. I think its $12 p/person and its just not worth it. Convenient, but not good. Also, the front desk service is a little slow. They always seem slightly understaffed, so if you need something it takes a while to get it.

Came to Boston to meet an old friend and decided to both stay at this marriot. The rooms were clean and there was free wifi! The location is about 3 blocks from the nearest subway (Andrew Station) which easily took us to the major attractions on the red line. Will definitely recommend this place in the future!

Clean, staff were nice, not too far from center And free wifi!

We booked early, got in one time.
They have a shuttle bus to pick you up and get you to the convention center and the head office will even call you a taxi. The room was better than most other rooms I've stayed in across dozens of hotels and the staff was nice as well.
2 beds, a fridge, a microwave (free upon request), and a wired internet connection. Were it not for this place, I'd have hated my stay in boston
3 stars though because the staff recommended this pizza joint that gave us a terrible pizza. (They specifically gave us a brochure and said it was good food.) Might have been my misfortune, but you must take everything into consideration.

This Courtyard is getting all of the stars because of their excellent staff. Unfortunately, they had to call me just over an hour before I arrived to let me know that my room had a leak and that they were going to have to move me to the Holiday Inn across the street. It was late, & I was frustrated, but they were very kind and apologetic in explaining the situation and did everything that they could to make that transition smooth and easy.

When I arrived, they also offered me extra points because of the inconvenience for having to check back into this hotel the following morning. Fortunately, as they were finalizing the paperwork to move me over to the Holiday Inn, their cleaning staff, who had stayed several extra hours because of this emergency, was able to clean a vacate in room and they were able to keep me at this location without having to send me to the Holiday Inn.

On a separate note, the room is up to snuff to Marriott standards. It is clean, comfortable, and has the standard amenities (kudos to housekeeping for a good job under pressure).

They would have received the stars even if I had had to move over to the other hotel, as they were doing everything they could to make a bad situation as good as it could be. Free points and free wine and a free transfer to the hotel next door is about all you can ask for in a situation like this.

Oh Marriott, how you disappoint. This hotel is very clean and the rooms are new and very comfortable. Unfortunetely, while this hotel is close to a redline T, it is on the outskirts of town. The area is very industrial and "sketchy" as my husband described it. Our view was of the back of a shopping plaza. Other than a Marshall's, TJ Maxx and Bed, Bath and Beyond, there is nothing close to this hotel. They have a shuttle that runs every 30min-hour to the T-stop and possible the airport. Unfortunately, the shuttle won't pick you up unless you call them first, and it seems easier to just walk from the T to the hotel than to wait for a pickup.

The hotel staff were not friendly, polite or informative. It would have been nice to be informed of hotel amenities or local events.

    Stayed here in January.
Had a great stay. Staff was very friendly and informative. One of the managers took 20 minutes out of her day to show us a map and highlight all the places we should visit in  Boston before our stay was over.
The hotel is very clean and up to date.
Our room was very spacious and comfortable. Nice big clean bathroom. Plenty of storage space! if your staying there for a while it won't feel like you're living out of a suitcase.
Our beds were very comfortable and clean.
They have a mini market where you can grab a few necessities.
They have a large lounge area with a little cafe.
Only downfall is the shuttle is not very reliable.
    Will definitely stay here again.

The Boston Marriott South Boston was perfect for what I needed while attending a recent conference at the Boston Convention & Exhibition Center. The hotels suggested by the conference were all well over the budget of my program, but thanks to the power of internet searching, I discovered the more affordable South Boston Courtyard Marriott and was overall very pleased with my stay.

    The highlights:
-Shuttle available upon request to and from the airport for only $5. It's like a 15 minute drive without traffic.
-Free shuttle to the Boston Convention & Exhibition Center (BCEC). The shuttle is available to the BCEC daily every half-hour from 7am to 11am and then from the BCEC at 5:30pm, 6:30pm and 7:30pm. It's about a 5 minute drive.
-Just a 5 minute walk to the train station. Short ride to most major points of interest.
    -Free WiFi.
    -Mini fridge in room.
-Clean and modern rooms with comfortable beds.
-Directly adjacent to a mall that features, among other stores, a Target, Applebees, Panera and Olive Garden.

As other reviewers have mentioned, the surrounding area is a bit sketchy. I felt that it was fine for daytime walking but questionable for nighttime walking.

The staff was overall very helpful and professional, but a few members need a little refinement in customer service. There is a small cafe on-site that provides a small but satisfying menu. Wait times can be long as it seemed to always only be staffed by two people, but it was a decent place to have a meal after returning from a long day of conferencing. Other than the offerings at the mall, there really isn't anything else nearby.

Not as cheap as others around here.
Room smelt like smoke. Front desk said it may be the AC.
Small glass of wine over $14
    HBO did not work.
Would not break up bill into two parts.
    Shuttle only ran hourly

Good part: walking distance from RedLine
Nice shuttle driver J. J. was very helpful.

Perfect for what we needed. A descent place to stay for a weekend in Boston. Wish they had a bar or restaurant. They offer coffee all day and you can buy bottles of wine after & some food after 5. There's a nice lobby area to sit.

3.5 stars. Luckily, I spot this Courtyard by Marriott off the highway (right behind huge Holiday Inn sign) b/c I seriously don't know where my GPS was taking us lol. I guess other yelpers were having the same problem too? The staff at front desk explained that b/c there are new building and road constructions, hence GPS can be a bit out of whacked. But by the next day, we were getting around pretty easily :)

The room we stayed at was so spacious! It had nice modern red/wood furniture, and beautiful Japanese floral decors - from paintings, wallpaper, plants, to shower curtains too! Yes, quite girly hehehe... I was also happy to see that they supply Paul Mitchell shampoo and conditioner! That's my fave brand, and it smells so nice :D!! The cleansing & makeup remover towelette was a very nice touch too, thanks :)

Overall, a great experience at this Courtyard by Marriott. Comfy bed, fast wifi connection, a small "market" to get your essentials (plus a microwave!), a large lounging area to watch TV or enjoy a coffee or beer, working station with computers and printer, boarding pass station, and they serve Starbucks :) This hotel is also walking distance to South Bay Centre for shopping and groceries, and T station to conveniently hop on the subway system. I will be sure to come back next time when I'm in Boston again!

    Do not stay this hotel.
Front staff gave up to help a customer to arrange a taxi.
I usually stay hotel 60 days a year and it's 80%are Marriott group. I am a platinum member and overall they were ok.
I hope only this hotel's quality is poor.

Knowing that I had to be at Boston Medical Center at an insanely early hour, I decided to stay here the night before because I got a cheap rate.  And for your out-of-towners, I am a Boston girl and knew in advance that - as many other Yelpers have said - that the neighborhood is, indeed, "sketchy".

Tip #1, if driving:  pull up right out front, check in, AND THEN GO PARK.  Why?  Because I made the mistake of parking way the hell away from the door on a frigid night with a heavy bag, only to be told I needed to schlep back out and put a parking pass in my window.  And the guy at the Front Desk had ZERO personality.

Rooms are nice (at least mine was, but I am a Marriott Gold Member, so who knows), but I would have to say that my best tip is just to stay elsewhere.  So many other Marriotts nearby.

We arrived Saturday afternoon and had trouble checking in. It took two and a half hours to check-in, which was extremely frustrating. After being able to check in, we settled into the room which was neatly arranged and aesthetically appealing.

Pros: great wireless connection, comfortable bed, decent fitness center and hot tub, complimentary shuttle service to T and within walking distance to shopping plaza (Target, Best Buy, Stop & Shop).

Cons: we had to ask three times for towels, small cafe ok customer service and no complimentary breakfast.

Overall, not a terrible place to stay, if not for the lack of cafe variety and ok customer service, would have given four stars.

We've stayed many times at this Courtyard Marriott, since the location is perfect to visit our Dorchester family.  We are always delighted with how friendly and accomodating the staff is to our needs.  Recently I left a computer cord in the room, and Andy on the staff was kind enough to ship it to us to Chicago.  The  rooms are pleasant, well appointed, and always spotless.  Great stays!
