The best place to stay in P-Town.

Found this place online in a last minute ditch effort to shoot a nor' easter in Provincetown. Stayed in the Olivia room and it had every amenity you could think of including mini LCD tv's in the kitchen and bathroom, full kitchen, jacuzzi and gas fireplace.  The staff was wonderful and the owner was accommodating and very helpful. She even checked in with us after we got settled to see if everything was to our liking and suggested places to eat locally. A huge plus when everything shuts down in off season a few days before Christmas. Totally LOVE this place and we'll be back!

Gabriel's is a cute little Inn, very centrally located in Provincetown.

We had a somewhat mixed experience though, so I'm going with a little rundown:

+Location, woo!
+Gas "woodstove" - great ambiance and kicked out the heat!
+Tempurpedic!  I almost can't admit this because I love my bed so much, but it was better than mine!
+Got to bring the pup!
+Pup got a cute little bed, two dishes, and poo bags to use during our stay!
-Someone else brought theirs and it literally barked non-stop from 7pm on Friday until almost midnight and then took up again at 6am on Saturday morning.  Not the Inn's fault, but it really put a damper on our time there.
+Tasty breakfast! (Not continental, yay!)
-Breakfast staff were unhelpful and a little chilly.
+Kitchenette for all of our wine glass, wine opener, and theoretical kitchen-ette-ing needs.
-Jacuzzi Tub...was disappointing, not one to write home about and we didn't end up using it.  We had a bigger one in one of our old apartments....good for a one person soak, but not of the romantic variety.
-Hot water in the shower took FOREVER to get warm.
- (ish) No parking...which in the summer would be a PITA, but as it was, not a big issue...more of a "be warned" situation.

So, some things to be aware of, but generally a pleasant experience.

Wonderful setting, great accommodations, excellent staff, warm and friendly atmosphere.

We've stayed at Gabriel's numerous times and the experience is consistently superb.

For all of what you get when you stay at Gabriel's, right down to the fresh and warm cookies each afternoon, the value is excellent for the over and above service and accommodations.

We have stayed in many to the rooms. Willow and Ariel were very luxurious. Jane Goodall was cozy and warm. No detail left unattended. They have done a beautiful job running the inn over they years and being part of the Provincetlwn community. We have recommended Gabriel's to many friends over the years. And we always look forward to going back.

And - the owners (the Elizabeths) are wonderful hosts.

Just got back from a wonderful weekend in Provincetown and we absolutely loved Gabriel's. I'm always on the search for a well-priced weekend getaway, so we decided to head to Provincetown in the off season and try Gabriel's. It was lovely.

When we arrived, we were told that our room had actually been given to someone else. I was pretty perturbed, but it ended up being a blessing in disguise because we got a wonderful upgrade. We had tea and cookies in the great room before settling in our room, which was large, beautifully decorated and equipped with the most amazing tub i have ever been in. Between the bottle of wine we brought, the tub and steam room combination, and the free movie rental collection at the front desk, Gabriel's was bliss.

This was also our first time travelling with our little puppy, and Gabriel's was perfectly pet-friendly.

This is a wonderful B & B.  I have stayed at many bed and breakfasts in my travels and generally you trade  modern extras for charm and hospitality.  Not so at Gabriel's.  I stayed in a fabulous top floor suite that was spacious, light and beautiful.  It had a glass enclosed fireplace at the foot of the king size bed, a living room area, a kitchen with granite counters but the bathroom(!) - a two person hot tub and a huge shower with about 10 nozzles including a rainshower head and steam!  The towels were thick and soft (don't you hate scratchy hotel towels?). It also had it's own private deck on the third floor.
Okay, so I loved the room, but the home itself was wonderful, offering a terrific breakfast with lots of variety (eggs, waffles, pancakes, oatmeal, cereals, etc.) daily.  Cookies, teas and coffee were always available.  Extra thoughtful touches like umbrellas (it rained every day of my stay!) A terrific great room with movies, books games etc.  The location is dead center in town.  We never used the car after arrival in our five day stay.  And the Elizabeth's really tend to every last detail and provide warm, gracious hospitality.  If you are heading in this direction, this is the place to stay.

Love, love, love this place!
Inside:
Lovely, tasteful rooms in a range of sizes and prices, meticulously clean and it's true that the beds are amazing.
Breakfast was spectacular, period. The staff were not only warm and gracious, but also a hoot-they were the cherry on top of our wonderful stay at Gabriel's. There is a great hall, with seating area and beverages available at other times and you can pretty much help yourself to hot drinks, and a number of cold drinks as well, which is a really nice perk and something you don't find in other places.
Outside:
Location, location, location. After you unload your bags, you are given a pass to park your car at a lot about 2 blocks away. But you won't miss it. Gabriel's is less than a block from the town hall and wharf and everything is close by. There is also a nice landscaped garden sitting area in the back which is very welcoming and great for chatting with other visitors. The only thing that could have been better is if we could have stayed longer.

My wife and I have wanted to take a trip to Provincetown for a couple years now. After doing a lot of reading of reviews I decided that we would stay here for the weekend. I am VERY happy I did. This was by far the best place we have stayed. We stayed in "Christopher". We brought our dog with us after reading how dog friendly the area was. This is one of the rooms that is dog friendly. It is probably the best room for dogs as it is a 50' walk to the grass park next door. The room itself is great. There is a LOT of light from huge windows, the kitchenette looks beautiful with nice finishes and the tempurpedic bed was GREAT. The only down sides to the room are the tiny bathroom (we're not small people and managed fine, its just a little cramped) and the street noise. I am a very light sleeper and woke up a few times each night when loud people, cars or the street sweeper went by (we also went to bed at 9-10pm). If you need a quiet place and do not have a dog, chose one of the rooms further back on the property. When you get up in the morning, the best thing ever is breakfast in the great room (or outside on the back deck). Their staff does an incredible job with the food and friendliness. We generally are not "inn" people because most of them are old, with no sound proofing and cramped so you feel forced to be very close to people you might not have anything in common with. This is the perfect place for us. With the property so spread out, the rooms all updated and quiet and the size of the great room and gardens we could spend time with who we wanted and when or just relax in the room in peace. To top it off, the owners are great people. They're genuine people who obviously take a lot of pride in their property and just want to make you enjoy your stay. I can't imagine anyone doing these things better than they do. This is the only place we will ever stay in the area again.

My wife and I stayed in the Laurel suite and could not have possibly been more satisfied with our choice.  We could easily have lived in this suite for a month.  The Elizabeths have thought of everything and were extremely welcoming.  Everything from a wine opener to a pet watering bowl has been thought of and placed in your room.  The fireplace heating was very romantic and the spa bathroom needs to be experienced because my description won't do it justice.  We had an amazing stay at Gabriels.

What a wonderful place!  We just left after Bear Week and we couldn't have been more satisfied!  The Elizabeth's, Chris & entire staff were absolutely amazing and we felt like members of their family!  The Colette Room was amazing with a semi private deck & the breakfast was made to order, not just your standard Continental Breakfast.
If you're looking for a centrally located, non pretentious Inn with a gracious staff, look no further.  And if you're Bears, tell the Elizabeth's Matt & Michael and Max the dog sent you!!
We checked out and put out reservation in for the same space for next year it's that good!

You won't do better than Gabriel's. This is one of those places that redefines hospitality. It was personable, comfortable and went beyond the extra mile to create a great experience. The included breakfast was outstanding with great fresh fruit, coffee, baked goods and a cook who made us delicious omelets made to order. Pancakes and other options were also offered.

The little extras that go a long way: greeted us at the door at breakfast and everyone introduced themselves, free little surprises throughout the unit including a tin of chocolates, dog treats, a shower with two shower heads, bathtub with jets, a Keurig with little coffee pods...it goes on.

Very dog friendly at the inn and we walked a little ways to a really fantastic dog park nearby to let the little guy run around for a while.

We'll be back!

I took my mom here for Mother's Day and we had the best time.  It was the off season at the Cape, but you wouldn't know it at Gabriel's.  If you want clean, homey rooms with friendly owners then this is it.  I would definitely go back.

my husband and I went to Provincetown for our anniversary, we were looking to visit somewhere near to home and we found review of Gabriels online- they didn't disappoint. We stayed in the room named Grace and for 3 days, and had a very nice relaxing time. The hotel is the perfect spot, right next to the main strip and nestled in a quiet area. The room was clean and charming, a nice full kitchen and little living room and then tv and bed, our ONLY complaint was the size of the bathroom - we are both tall and not so thin and the shower and bathroom was pretty hard to get around in, if we had the chance we would have asked for another room but we didn't have the heart to complain. Not sure if they would have even be able to offer a different room anyway. The morning breakfast was delicious and its a lovely layout with the koi pond in the entrance. The nearby strip is full of shops, restaurants (def try the Lobster Pot!!) and gift shops. We were also a block away from a little cove on the shore so we were able to do beach days but we were 10 minutes from the main park/beach and that was also wonderful. We really enjoyed our stay, everyone was helpful and nice and we would visit again!

Full disclosure: I do know the owners.

That being said, so many times the owner(s) of a business can have a lot to do with the quality of the experience. If I have friends coming into Ptown and they need a place to stay, Gabriel's is at the very top of my list. The grounds are beautiful, the location doesn't get any better, and their staff is amazing. Provincetown is an expensive place to stay at, but when you consider the quality and location, their pricing is amazingly reasonable.

Elizabeth and Elizabeth (yes... two different people) run a tight ship and keep the place immaculate. They've put together a wonderful business and are two of the warmest people in town.

Christopher, their son, who handles the front desk is amazingly mature for his age and  contributes a lot to the customer experience. He's one of those young people that other adults look at and say to themselves "I wish my kid was that well behaved!"

If you are looking for a place where you can stay while visiting P-town that is clean, affordable, and centrally located so that you don't need your car.... this is the place! As I said, I do know the owners, but if I didn't think they did a great job then I simply wouldn't have left a review.

Our 2nd stay here. Amazing pet friendly B&B. My birthday get away w/the hubby & pups. Not much excitement in Ptown in March but it's just what I needed.
Stayed in the Colette. Nice studio w/comfortable temperpedic bed, sitting TV area and kitchenette w/kurig coffee maker,  Quiet & private.
Only down side is the parking, hasn't stopped us from coming back and staying here off season it's not so big of an issue. The Inn is centrally located so once the car is parked you really won't need it again.
Nice breakfasts made to order for courteous staff.

I picked this place kind of last minute, just from their website. I was looking for something in Provincetown that was dog-friendly. I really lucked out. Even with reasonable expectations (their website does a good job showing the rooms, etc.), it was BEYOND. So lovely.

We arrived in the evening and just walking up through their garden courtyard kind of set the tone for the whole experience of being there - lights in the trees and along the walkways and patios. Really special, and kind of tucked away off the main street like a little secret garden.  Also - location, location location. Provincetown is a very walkable place anyway, but this really is RIGHT there in the middle and everything is walking distance.

The rate is affordable. We chose a suite because there were three of us and it was cozy, lovely and a perfect size. The fireplace was great, seeing that we were there in November, it was really nice to have. The beds were temperpedic and super comfortable. They even had a little dog bed, bowls and treats in the room for our pup! Super cute.

Also... the breakfast was phenomenal.  Good coffee and tea, muffins, fruit, yogurt, granola - alternatives to dairy (soy and almond milk), and special hot breakfasts made to order, omlettes, waffles and pancakes were offered when we were there.

I really cant say enough good things about this place. It was a special weekend and we will be back for a stay in the Spring!

Loved our room, and everyone was so friendly. There is a cook in the morning that makes different things for you to order. There is a pond and garden behind the office where you can enjoy your breakfast. My gf wants you to know that there are goldfish in the pond :). I would definitely recommend this place if you are staying in Provincetown. Our room had a shower that functioned as a steam room and a nice jacuzzi, two fireplaces, and plenty of space. It was a very relaxing time.

Location: We came during the Portuguese festival and we were right next to where everything was happening and we could barely hear the noise.

Service: Kay is just fantastic. She's helpful, courteous and friendly. She took our items and dog and put it in our room for us because we had to leave for an Outer Cape Sail trip. We couldn't wait for our room to be ready.

Room: Beautiful decoration, well maintained and immaculate. We loved the toiletries. We had our own room A/C, but the lobby has central A/C. It had super soft sheets.

Food: We had breakfast every day in their dinning room. Kirk is the cook. He is very friendly (of course, he's from Jamaica) and passionate about food. He made a delicious blueberry/coconut pancake and the next day breakfast sausage with peppers (all colors), plantains and cauliflower. Delicious!

I am a big fan of this place after my stay summer of 2014 in which 3 friends and I slept in 2 rooms of their cheapest rooms: Virginia Wolfe and Katharine Hepburn.
Highlights:
*Clean - like, really clean.
*Breakfast is beyond incredible
*We could lounge in their garden all day (and night) long
*Perfect location (near town, the town beach, great restaurants - highly recommend The Pointe Restaurant for dinner)
*Super accomodating - had beach chairs and umbrellas for us and a little goody bag with waters and chips the day we checked out.  Also an ice machine good for your cooler for the beach.

The only reason I nocked it down to 4 out of 5 stars is that the rooms were a little smelly. Not sure how to describe it.  My friends thought it smelled like dog pee, but i thought it was just a musty smell.  We all got over it and really enjoyed the weekend.  I tried to book a return trip for later this summer but they were sold out.

We enjoyed every minute of our Labor Day weekend stay. Gabriel's Inn has a friendly accommodating staff. Our room was clean, thoughtfully decorated, and quite comfortable all around. We were in the perfect place to be in Provincetown, literally steps from the center of town, and adjacent to the Pilgrim's Monument and Cape Cod museum. Directly across the street is the Provincetown Town Hall. Every restaurant, specialty shop, and entertainment is close walking distance.

Breakfast was prepared in house each morning, including made to order specials such as blueberry pancakes straight from the kitchen. An added bonus were the fresh baked pastries and muffins. The appeal of this hotel is everywhere from the casual elegant decor and tasteful furnishings to the outdoor seating and lush landscaping. Each staff person we encountered treated us attentively with sincere interest in making our stay comfortable and memorable. We have visited P-Town before and stayed at other hotels, but this is the one to which we will return. That's one decision that's a no-brainer for our next visit. In fact, we enjoyed our stay so much, we are looking for reasons to return sooner than later. Why wait until next year? We'll probably be back again before year's end. It's much more fun exploring Provincetown when you have a comfortable, friendly place to stay.

A fabulous Bed and Breakfast in Provincetown!!!  I love it here!  Rooms are all themed with kit here's, fireplaces, beautiful bathrooms, jacuzzi, comfortable beds.  The staff is very friendly and accommodating & the gardens and koi pond are beautiful. The breakfast is the best and biggest I have had at any B & B.  I highly recommend Gabriel's to everyone coming to Provincetown!

I have been trying to find the words to express just how amazing this place is. My boyfriend and I chose this as our place to stay during our anniversary and we couldn't be happier! We stayed in the Virginia Wolf suite. The room was just what we needed. The bed was very comfortable and the fireplace was much needed and so romantic. Warning: The fireplace makes it REALLY hot so if you're going to sleep with it on you may wake up sweating a little. Everyone was so friendly at Gabriel's! The staff went above and beyond to make sure that we enjoyed our stay. From arranging reservations to finding a DVD player for us when ours didn't work, the staff made sure we were comfortable and enjoying our stay.

THE BREAKFAST. Yes, it gets its own paragraph because it was that damn good. Every day there was some variation on scrambled eggs, a choice of breakfast meat, and a breakfast bread (i.e. waffle, French toast, pancakes). Usually I am not a morning person but my boyfriend and I made sure we were awake and ready for breakfast each morning. This definitely is one of the gems of Gabriel's. Also, on Sundays they offer a little champagne for your OJ. Nothing can win my heart over like a mimosa!

My husband and I just returned from a long weekend in Provincetown. It was my first experience staying in the Cape (aside from visiting friends in Yarmouth) in the five years I have lived in Boston, so I was undoubtedly very excited to see what all the hype was about.

Aside from the food in Provincetown (which I found deeply disappointing and upsetting) except for Spiritus Pizza (which is just delicious pizza compared to anywhere) and Ceraldi's in Wellfleet, we had a wonderful time and stay.

Breakfast is included in your stay, and for hearty eaters like my husband and myself, we were more than satisfied. There are fresh baked goods every morning including chocolate or berry croissants, danishes, and muffins. There are foods made to order including waffles/pancakes, eggs, home fries, and pork flavored meats. There was cream of wheat every morning, which I indulged in, and freshly brewed coffees, juices, and milk (soy, almond, cow). There were also vanilla yogurt parfaits and fresh fruit. In the later morning and afternoon there were freshly baked cookies, hot apple cider (with hard alcohol if you wished to spike it), a wide selection of teas, Keurig coffee, and the canned juices and soy/almond milk. On our last morning there, we were even treated to live music in the great room during breakfast!

We stayed in Ariel, which was very spacious for the two of us. The kitchenette included a small stove and oven, microwave, refrigerator/freezer which was more than adequately equipped. I enjoyed the sky lights in the morning, which may bother some guests if they awake easily with ambient light.

I had a great time--the Cape is just not my jam.

Very cool hotel in the smack middle of Provincetown. We were greeted by a warm and customer oriented gentleman who guided us to our room and helped us make our experience warm and fuzzy. Our room was on the first floor and was two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a kitchen and common are with an electric fireplace. Our dog was welcomed with open arms and given wonderful treats to make her stay all that much better.

The morning breakfast was AMAZING. The customer service was unbelievable. The food was spectacular. I felt as though I was the President of the United States himself. Unbelievable treatment by all the staff. A staff member also came by to explain the daily activities in town and helped us identify what restaurants are open year around vs those that are open during the summertime.

If you looking to come to Ptown for five star treatment then this place is for you. Bring your family (ie dog) with you and enjoy all the fanfare the hotel has to offer. When you treat your guests the way they do, you will certainly be back for more. Thank you for a great experience for my boyfrnd and myself. Memorable to say the least!
