In town for a wedding that's in Minnetonka? I was. So hubs and I stayed at the Country Inn & Suites. It's pretty cut and dry with this hotel: it's clean, it's decently appointed for the price and, hey, there are free cookies at the front desk.

The Good: nice LCD flat screen in the room, microwave and mini fridge in the room. The shuttle (used for the wedding) was quick and staffed with a super friendly guy.

The Meh: There's really nothing walkable besides Woody's...so you're "landlocked" to this semi-boring hotel. The workout room has a treadmill - and that's it. The hot breakfast buffet looks fine...but I passed for something a bit more creative.

The Weird: The front desk staff kept using the word "dirty" to describe the my room that wasn't ready. Really? You could have just said they weren't quite ready.

So, if you have to stay in the area, the Country Inn & Suites is a fine option.

Country Inn and Suites in Plymouth is a great choice if you have friends or business in the area.  It's about 8 miles from downtown Minneapolis, so if you're wanting to do any site-seeing, I suggest you stay elsewhere.

The staff of this property that I encountered were all really friendly and made you feel welcome.  The rooms were clean and spacious and my room had a microwave and mini-fridge.

- Great Staff
- Spacious Rooms
- Quiet Location
- In room microwave and refrigerator
- Two Pools
- Nice restaurant next door with outdoor patio

- Far away from the action
- I've had a better shower experience with other brands; cheap shower head

If I had to come back to Plymouth, I'd stay here again.

I want to start of by being clear - our bad experience dealt with blocking off a specific set of rooms for our wedding guests to stay at the evening of our wedding.

We got married at the carlson towers down the street.  It was phenomenal and a beautiful location.  The closest hotel was this hotel.  Our complications started to arrive as we grew close to the wedding date.  The hotel had been recently bought.  The new buyer was doing renovations to the hotel.  The hotel had a party room/breakfast area that was designated as our after reception location to hang out with friends, guests, etc.  Literally two weeks before, the hotel did not know whether they would have that available or not anymore. (different than they had promised)  Furthermore I had to keep calling them to find out if it was going to be available.

As common with hotel guests attending a wedding, we decided to offer check-in gifts to our guests.  Keep in mind, this was the hotel's idea and was not cheap for us to provide.  We found out shortly after our wedding  only about 40% of our guests actually were offered our gift.  The remaining guests were not even made aware of the gift.  When we confronted our sales manager, she said, "the guests refused the gift and said they would come back later."

My point is, this hotel clearly is not well organized nor well managed.

Cookies are inconsistent, but I was okay with this because I like hard cookies but my boyfriend likes soft cookies.

The free breakfast is awesome.  We had breakfast sausage, egg wraps (eggs with peppers and bacon and cheese in a tortilla), waffles, fruit, donuts, and cereal (with two kinds of milk), and cranberry juice.  There was a lot more.

The indoor pool surprisingly does not smell strongly of chlorine and the hot tub is pretty big.
