Nice! Great Hotwire deal for $60 a night (day of). Clean, visually appealing and great customer service. Beds are nice too!

Like Amanda, I was here for a meeting. I love the location, and have not been to this part of Plymouth. The intersection on 55 west before you turn off has some good looking eateries as well. Next time I will take advantage of this rather then do the hotel buffet at $22. a day. It just wasn't that great. They did go out of their way for my friend who couldn't eat anything off it, and they gave her a nice white fish. The conference room downstairs is awesome. The lobby is very bright with a great view, and roomy, comfortable chairs all over. I was not thrilled that such a classy hotel left a full tray out for all to see the next morning. But I called them and they took care of it immediately. The sound is good. I was with the Learning Strategies Corp. and they do all their events here. The most impressive thing is all the chandeliers in the room. Not only do they give plenty of light, but are just gorgeous, and I want one in my dining room. The main lobby has nice furniture, not too old, not ultra modern. A welcoming hang out. However when I come back, I will stay at the hotel for a weekend. Driving home to the cities is very creepy.

This time, room dirty. Was here a month ago for about a week. Liked the room and comfy bed. Came back a month later and had dirty room: bloody tissue found next to one bed, and a lost cell phone found next to the other one. Old contact lense found in bathroom sink. No bathroom garbage can. The clock did not work, even the maintenance man, whom i called to come and get the other stuff, could not set the time on the clock. Did they bring me a new clock? No. The food at this hotel has always been bad but I knew this , but the room being less than clean was a big surprise and disappointment. My company uses this hotel frequently so I've been coming for over 18 years...I stay at several alternate hotels in the area so I will simply call another hotel the next time I'm in town.

If you're looking to host a meeting ... this is the place for you!
I was hosting a training class for for 20 people and ended up choosing the Crowne Plaza Plymouth and could not have been more impressed! I run training classes several times a year and have them hosting at locations all around the United States and Canada. The meeting & sales staff was top notch. I was very impressed that they called me about a week before my meeting to go through the details of the meeting to make sure they were ready for everything I needed.
I really liked that they offered "shared breaks" with other meetings going on outside of our meeting room, so we did not have to deal with the smell of food in our room ... but we had more selection for breakfast and afternoon breaks because there were people from several meetings eating off of the same breakout bar. It was replenished regularly so we never ran out of food and it was always fresh. They have a soda cooler, so my trainees could choose any flavor of soda, and drink as much as they wanted, instead of being charged on a per-usage basis. It really helped me manage my budget better!
Someone from the banquet staff checked in on me every morning to see if I needed anything before the class started, and also checked on me each night to ask how the day went. WOW!
I also stayed over in the hotel so it would be a short commute for me. While the hotel is about 30 minutes from the airport (I arrived on a Sunday, probably a longer commute during weekday rush hours) - there were many restaurants, grocery stores, shopping and a Target within 1 mile of the hotel. It's in a great residential neighborhood, so I went out for a jog several nights and it was nice running through a quiet neighborhood and felt very safe. There is a Caribou and Starbucks within a few blocks and the hotel has a beautiful decor.
The restaurant is a great value offering a lunch buffet with your choice of a cold, build your own sandwich and soup ... or add on a hot entree and dessert for just a few dollars more. It was a GREAT value. When could you ever get a lunch in a hotel restaurant for under $12?! The staff is VERY friendly and greeted me every time I walked past the desk.
The rooms were very comfortable, big flat screen tv's, nice and quiet, and tremendously comfortable beds! I have a Sleep Number bed at home, so I often don't look forward to hotel beds, but this one was great!
I would absolutely book another meeting or training class at this Crowne Plaza! In fact, if I was in town for personal travel, I would stay there too!
Room Tip: I booked a suite and it was VERY comfortable, but if you're in a suite ... make sure you look in the 2nd room, the couch is comfortable and the desk is in the "living room" side. I originally thought my room didn't have a desk since it was not in the "bedroom" portion of the room.

Book this one to be on the west end of the city. the hotel was everything I was expecting, and a little bit more. We found the overall look and feel of the place to be very comfortable. The fitness centre that is part of the hotel, but available for locals was not what we where expecting but very nice none the less. Overall a nice place a little out of the way.
Since Sunday was our last day we decided to try the Sunday brunch at Europa, in the end we found selection of food to cover the basics, however the omelet they make for you must have been cook in a lot of oil as it was almost uneatable as it sat in the plate oozing oil, was it worth the $13.95 each, depend what you are looking for.
If we needed to stay out here again this is definitely a place we would consider staying , but not eating here.

I've stayed at a few Crowne Plaza hotels while on business travel and this one has to one of the nicest I've been to. Everything from the general décor of the hotel to the service provided by the staff was excellent. Even though I live not too far from the hotel I decided to stay here since friends of mine where having their wedding reception at the CP event center. I'm not usually a fan of hotel food but the dishes served were all great from the steak to the starter salad.
Although the hotel and service were both outstanding there were a few things about it that prevent me from rating it higher than 3 stars. The first would have to be the whole parking situation which is a good 5 minute walk away from the hotel entrance. Plymouth is far from being a bad place to walk around at night but the walk to the hotel might not be as pleasant when it's raining or freezing cold out. The second would have to be the ambient temperature in the hotel and rooms. I know it's not typical to have 80 degree temperatures in October but it seemed like they didn't turn up the A/C to account for the change in weather. The A/C unit in the room I stayed in also was set to the lowest temperature but still seemed to have a difficult time keeping the room relatively cool.
Parking and temperature aside, this Crowne Plaza location is still an awesome hotel to stay and/or have your next big event at.

I am very disappointed in this place. I am here for a healing and meditation class and conference so was looking forward to this time. I got a freezing cold room with a broken tv. Keep getting request to send maintenance guy but he says he can't do anything and am told lies and runaround by staff. Am told they only have smoking rooms and that I would get a new room tomorrow, then MAYBE I will get a new room tomorrow, told they would send a space heater, then housekeeping shows up later with stiff blankets. On top of that the sink drains poorly and the toilet keeps making noise.

We have stayed at this location a number of times. It is in a really nice and quiet area. Off of the freeway, but shopping and restaurants are easily accessible within in a short decent. Also, Maple Grove is about ten minutes away with tons of nice shopping and restaurants. This CP is right along a trail that winds through a really nice neighborhood across the street. Perfect for running in an unfamiliar area.
The hotel itself is very nice. The employees are friendly. The beds and pillows? Out of this world. So comfortable - it's like sinking into a comfy cocoon =) There is a bar/lounge area that seems very nice. I believe there are two restaurants, though I may be wrong about that. We have eaten dinner at one of the restaurants once and weren't incredibly impressed. I had the Caesar salad with salmon and it was good. I don't remember what my husband had.
The rooms are all very nice. We've stayed in several different types of rooms and have been pleased with all of the rooms themselves. Here comes the complaint. I believe we've stayed at this location maybe five or six times. Maybe seven times. Our earliest stay was in February. In Minnesota. Know what that means? It means it is damn cold outside. In fact our last stay over this past weekend was during a cool front, meaning that it was technically chilly outside (60s). Every single time we've stayed at this location our rooms have been warm to the point of us needing to open the window to try to combat the heat. No matter how low we have set the temp setting (in each room) it never cooled off. This last time I finally said something because it was just HOT in the room. Like, step outside into the hall and we were like "Ahh!!! A reprieve!" So I stopped at the front desk one day on my way through and mentioned it to an employee. Was told that a maintenance person would come up and look at the a/c. Went back to the room to wait for him/her and no one showed up. The front desk called to make sure the issue had been resolved and said that they would check on the maintenance person when I told them no one had shown up. No one ever did. So the next day I had an employee who I happened to see in the hallway physically step into the room so that he would understand how hot it truly was in the room. Within 20 minutes a tech was there to check on the a/c. According to him the central hotel a/c wasn't turned on. What? He said they would turn it on but in the meantime brought me a box fan that had been sitting down the hall in front of another room since we had checked in two days earlier (probably because their room was stinkin' hot too.) A box fan. A box fan that we used for the next three days because it never cooled off in the damn room. Upon checking out I mentioned that the box fan was still in the room and explained WHY we had needed a fan. According to THIS employee the central a/c unit basically doesn't kick on until it reaches a certain temperature outside. Which is crazy because THE ROOMS ARE HOT inside even if it is 60 degrees outside (which isn't even cold!!!) Honestly, we are not picky people, but this is a deal breaker for us. When you are spending a nice amount each night at the freakin' Crowne Plaza you shouldn't be depending in a janky box fan sitting on the desk to cool you and your room off.
My three stars take into consideration everything - the hotel, the staff (Greg at the front concierge desk is so incredibly nice.), the amazing beds/pillows, and the a/c issues. There are so many positives but that whole box fan deal brings their rating down for me.

My wife and I, along with our four kids ages 6 to 15, spent several months at the Crowne Plaza Minneapolis West while our flooded house was being repaired. We chose the hotel because of its location and amenities, and ended up being spoiled by the staff who consistently delivered beyond excellent service.
We first received great service from Elisa at the front desk, who helped us find connecting rooms on a moment's notice that would work for our family. Matt, one of the hotel administrators, worked with us to make sure our needs were being met, and with the insurance company to help us seamlessly cover our expenses while staying at the hotel. We were amazed at the great service we received from Ryan at the desk, who always made us feel welcome, kept up with our kids sports and activities, and made our Christmas Eve celebration at the hotel a success. We had two birthdays while staying there, and the desk staff (thanks Bryan!) bought my son and daughter nice birthday presents and made a sign in the lobby wishing him a happy birthday. The night desk clerks, Lloyd and Robert, were friendly and helpful and always willing to provide toothbrushes and replace lost keycards.
The desk staff provided coffee, fruit, breakfast bars, cookies, and ice water with fresh lemons at various times of the day. The kids enjoyed stopping by the desk for an after-school snack, and often made several trips to the cookie tray...
At the bell desk the service was top-notch, as well. Ryan (Bell Desk Ryan) gave consistent great service, and even gave the kids a ride when we were in a pinch. He, Zach, Greg, and Abdul always greeted us with a smile and helped us with whatever we needed, including hiding Christmas presents in the bell closet.
Our kids loved "Mr. Lonny", the hotel stylist, who was responsible for the beautiful holiday decorations in and outside of the hotel. We are grateful to Lonny, who delivered Christmas trees to our rooms to help brighten the holiday for our kids.
We appreciated Irma, Stephanie, and Sau (spelling?) and the other housekeeping staff who worked hard to keep our rooms clean and stocked.
Mark, the evening manager, made it a point to make us and our kids feel welcome. He was always there to make sure everything was going as it should, and often would provide treats and beverages for the kids, and Diet Coke for the adults.
We ate at the Creekside Cafe nearly every day for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The food was always prepared well, and the restaurant and bar staff constantly went out of their way to make our visit enjoyable. We looked forward to seeing Kaye, Christy, Jen, Chrissy, Kristi, and Maria and Maria during breakfast every morning, as well as Cassie, Josh, Trenton, Penny, Kue, Paul, Chi, and bartender Ron. The manager, John, was always friendly and helped us with whatever we needed.
We really enjoyed the health club and appreciated the help we received from Heidi, who made us feel welcome and made sure we had everything we needed. We used the pool, racquetball courts, workout equipment, and hung out in the lounge area.
The Director of Operations, Jerrod Simkins, checked in with us several times during our stay to make sure everything was going well.
On Christmas morning, when the restaurant was closed, we received a note under our door saying there was something under the tree in the Creekside Café for our family. The hotel staff had left stockings full of wonderful toys, candy, and goodies for each of the children. They put much thought into things each of the kids would like. In addition, they filled a large basket with candies, food, and jellies for us. We are amazed at how much the staff went "over-and-above" to give our family a great experience.
Over our time there we stayed in 5 different rooms, all of which were updated, clean, and comfortable. The oversize chairs, huge flat-screen TV, and Keurig in-room coffee added to the experience. We enjoyed the beds, pillows, and linens, which helped us all to sleep well. We appreciated the beautiful open spaces in the hotel and the live green plants--especially during this cold winter.
We watched as the hotel hosted businessmen and women, conferences, parties, corporate events, weddings, youth hockey tournaments, a huge teen conference, and a sold-out New Year's Eve party. In every case, the staff rose to the occasion and provided excellent service (even to some very challenging guests).
The Crowne Plaza Minneapolis West has a good location, excellent rooms, and many great amenities. However, its greatest asset is the quality staff and management. They consistently went out of their way to make us feel at home, and alleviated much of the stress for our family during the time we were displaced from our home. For this we will always be grateful.

Overall the hotel is nice, but as anyone wants to do when they stay at a hotel is sit back relax and watch a movie.. well the crowne plaza is the first hotel I've ever been to that doesn't offer pay per view or any movie service. Not even a DVD player! Got stuck watching little people big world on my vacation instead of guardians of the galaxy. Not vacation ruining, but disappointing, bring your own DVD player.

This is a review of the conference facilities and dining only. I was here for a local conference and the lobby areas have a lot of natural light, lots of seating, and feels cozy yet spacious. The red brick walls everywhere give it a somewhat old-fashioned feel.
The Regency Ballroom had comfortable seating. Finding the smaller meeting rooms was a challenge - you have to find your way to the specific stairs that take you down to a maze of windowless corridors and ultimately to the meeting room you are looking for.
Lunch was decent, and the desserts had quite a lot of variety plus taste, from key lime pie to pecan tarts.
Walking from the main parking lot to the hotel entrance is via a pathway that winds around and later, I found out that there was a shortcut, which is not very well marked at all. The parking is weird, tucked away to the side of the entrance. Doesn't make sense for a place with long winters with a lot of snow.
Everything was fine but nothing was wow. It's a large hotel without a signature or style to make it memorable.

This is a great hotel! I have to say I am very impressed with how clean and quiet and luxurious my room was. Had a great stay here a week ago and I am already yearning to go back. The huge flat screen TVs make lounging around watching movies so relaxing and I love the comfortable beds and pillows. Sad I had to leave! They even have an on site restaurant and work out facility. Great hotel! Great staff!

I was initially here for a convention. (Room review follows below, too.)Finding parking was difficult only because the convention was so popular. Trying to find the entrance could have been better labeled from the overflow lot but it was not too far to walk outside. This is a large hotel and has lots of space in the lobby, meeting room, conferences spaces, restaurant, etc. In other words, once inside, you may have to walk a bit.
The lobby space and meeting room were well appointed and very comfortable. Every employee not engaged with another guest greeted my happily when they would see me pass by, even when I was not approaching them. I was so impressed by the hotel that I spontaneously booked a room for the night. And I am not usually spontaneous. But the outside feel of the hallways in the room area were endearing, warm and welcoming.
The very gracious front desk personnel gave me the convention rate even for my last minute booking. The king room was very spacious, spotless and comfortable. I have never been in a hotel room that was so quiet. I heard only a single door open once, despite the fact that I could see so many guests in the halls.
We were provided with a complimentary toothbrush and toothpaste. Such a great service when they knew we had made a super last minute decision to stay!
The bed was incredibly comfortable. I would stay here again anytime! !
The room includes a very comfortable leather (or like leather) chair and ottoman, desk and desk chair, a closet area with a door, a refrigerator, an ironing board and iron, blow dryer, plenty of towels up front, and of course, flat screen tv. Small awesome detail: the person in the bathroom and making coffee can have lights on, while the person sleeping can remain in the dark.
There is always room for improvement. .. in this case, the coffee service. There is a Keurig in the room but it is built for service for one instead of two. While 2 pods were provided, one was regular and one was decaf. Additional pods are $.75. While not expensive it is a little frustrating to have to order more, just to get 2 regular cups of coffee.
But truly, the hotel design, the friendly staff, the incredible comfortable and beyond belief quiet in the room, make up for the single drawback.

It was our 28th Anniversary weekend and I had scheduled back to back concerts at the Medina Entertainment center so we needed a place to stay in the area. I believe we picked the best place for location and value and atmosphere. The girls at the front desk gave us two free cocktails and complimentary breakfast upon hearing we were celebrating which was such a nice gesture!
The rooms and hotel itself were very clean and tasteful. My husband and I both commented on how comfortable the bed was--it was like sleeping on a cloud. The water pressure was good and hot!
The room had it's own little Keurig and a mini-fridge--I could hear some shenanigans going on in another room so if you are expecting no noise at all or sensitive to that perhaps ask for a quiet room when booking--so they put you off by yourself if at all possible.
