I stayed at the Minneapolis Boulevard Hotel the other night and all I can say is please don't waste your time or money staying here. I figured if a room there is almost $200 a night, it can't be too bad. I was wrong. The hotel is not very well marked so you have no idea if the building you are walking in is in fact the Minneapolis Boulevard Hotel and the parking lot is not very well lit. Walking in, the entrance is very nice so I didn't really think our room could be that bad. We got to our room, tried to turn on the light switch by the door and no lights came on. We tried another night. Nothing. Finally, we found a light switch that worked. There was rust in the bathroom. The carpets were disgusting and old. I tried calling down to the front desk and our phone didn't work. We got into bed and there were little hairs all over our sheets. I thought about calling the front desk to request a different room, but at this point, I was afraid of what else we would get. Such an awful hotel.

While I didn't have high expectations when my wife found this on groupon, I figured it was just for a couple days so it shouldn't be too bad. Wow! To start off, we had reserved a room with 2 beds as we were traveling with or kids. We get there and they tell us they don't have any (while there were only 2 cars in the entire parking lot). They put us into a room with a king and a pullout. We go to open the pullout, and it literally falls apart. We immediately call down, and they move us to another room. SAME THING IN THE SECOND ROOM! When they tell us they will just move again, we had to insist multiple times that they send someone to make sure everything works as we are tired of running around this surprisingly dirty hotel. They finally found us a room, again not what we had reserved, but at least or children would have a bed to sleep in. The next morning, more family members show up, and one in the room next to us has the 2 double beds we had asked for from the beginning (he had requested a room with a king bed, but I guess they had shoved us into the room be should have gotten). For 2 days they didn't clean the room, leaving us with no clean towels for shower before a family wedding. Overall, a horrible experience and hopefully no one else has to go through the same mistreatment.

I had a good two night stay at the Boulevard. It's a basic business hotel--the room was reasonably large, the bed comfortable, and I got a good night's sleep. The restaurant is a hidden gem. I had a great steak for dinner, and they had a surprisingly good wine list. My server got overwhelmed with locals who seemed to be coming for a celebration, and the manager stepped in to wait on me personally. The food was hearty, and prepared with a flair I didn't expect.
The staff is friendly and I'd stay here again.

I stayed here awhile back and wasn't very pleased, but my stay this time was AMAZING!..all the staff was very professional and with all the new rooms going in it was a BARGAIN!...Tasheika at the front desk was amazing, and the housekeeping staff was so friendly and my room was perfect!..
my wife and I will be coming back again and again!

This place is terrible. My gf attempted to stay here but couldn't last more than 15 minutes because of the terrible conditions. She had crap in her toilet, yellow sheets, crackers and toe nails on her carpet and was given a room with two queens instead of a single bed.

Horrible place! If you want to stay at a truck stop motel but pay Doubletree prices, then this is the place for you! No housekeeping service, poor front desk, and no manager to be found. The WiFi is so bad, it is almost impossible to do any work during business travel. The toilet is biblical, in that it is a miracle if it flushes. I had to beg to get someone to clean the room and replace the towels after my second day, and still nothing. Avoid this place like the plague.

To my fellow traveler out there. This is Double Tree and by far the worst one I've stayed in. It's also the cheapest I've stayed in, so I got what I deserved. Let me list the pros & cons:
- Sketchy Area
- Nearest Gas station is 6 min drive (don't go at night)
- Nearest restaurant/bar is down the street (again, I wouldn't go at night)
- furniture is worn
- The shower curtain may have brown stains (it is making contact with the toilet...)
- Internet service is terrible (I can't email anyone because I keep getting kicked off and my remote access doesn't like that)
- Other unknowns? (I'm about ready to hit the gym, thank goodness I just got my tetanus shot)
Please pay just a little money more to stay in a better hotel. I'm sure every Hilton property in the Minneapolis area could beat this one. It will save you time, headaches, and potentially money if you have important Internet conference call with a large client (thank goodness I had my hotspot, I was the host of the meeting!)
This is coming from a Diamond member. I'm still a fan of the Hilton brand but not this location. I'm never coming back and hope you avoid it all together.

I booked this place based and hoping that it would live up to the hilton standards. To my surprise this place was the exact opposite.
1- Hotel was booked up with obnoxious teenagers who were loud and rowdy the whole time they were there. When we made hotel staff aware of this they had nothing to offer. Not even an apology.
2-The room itself was very out dated. The bathroom door wouldn't even close.
3- The toilet was beyond disgusting. I was afraid even using it looking at the filth around the rim.
4-The room was super tiny for King standards. The carpet was full of stains
5- WIFI NEVER WORKED! .. Being on a trip for business this was essential and it was always down. They did not even have a ethernet connection. NON EXISTENT.
Only reason i gave this place two stars is for the DT Cookies.
