This Hilton Garden Inn just opened in February.  It's a very nice smaller hotel. The location is very close to the Convention Center, but fairly handy for other downtown places as well, and only three blocks from my new favorite restaurant in the world, Hell's Kitchen.   It is not on the skyway, though it's pretty close.   Rooms are spacious, come with a small fridge and microwave and a flat-screen TV.  The internet access is free and fast -- you have the option of wired, with a handy Ethernet cable and many power outlets built into the desktop, wireless from the hotel, or wireless from the free city network.  The beds were excellent -- when I first sat down on one I thought it was going to be too firm, but it wasn't; extremely comfortable.  Heating and cooling are good, the windows, alas, don't open, but that may be because they're triple-glazed because of the freeway nearby -- which I didn't hear at all.   The lobby has a small business center alcove where you can use a computer or printer if you didn't bring one; an adequate bar and restaurant with room service; and a little convenience store so you can get microwave spaghetti or juice bars for your fridge.   The selection is very small, though, so you're better off going to the nearby downtown Target or elsewhere.   Valet parking at $24 a night is not a great value -- maybe use it just on your arrival day when you're tired and getting your bearings, and then park at the city ramp at 11th and 3rd for $13.50 a night.   I found the place to be very quiet, but I was there very soon after it opened -- so there were not many other people on my floor.   The staff are friendly and seem to enjoy their jobs, although they were still working out a few kinks -- how to deal with the valet parking area when several large cars arrived at once, etc.  I got a great deal booking through AAA.

Stayed here for junior nationals volleyball July 2-5. Rooms are great, very comfortable.  Indoor pool was small and had way too much chlorine.  Workout room was very small. Food and bar was middle of the road, too many other choices around the area that makes it easier to eat at.  Close to convention center where we were playing---walking distance. Would stay here again if attending something at the conference center.

I would give the room 3 1/2 stars but the bar 1.  The drinks were outrageously over priced and unlike the other two Hilton's in town there was no happy hour.  The rooms were fine (mattresses a little too firm) but there was no real road noise and the size was pretty standard.  Would stay here in a pinch but the other Hilton's (especially the Hilton Marquette) are in a better location.

They should get 2 stars but I will give them a break since they are relatively new.  I booked through travelocity and got a room on a Thursday night for $99.  The reason they get less stars is because the girl at the desk told me I didn't get "miles" because it is a GARDEN INN and not a full fledged Hilton.  Also parking is $24.  Lucklily I am cheap and rolled around the block , found parking across from the church down the way for $5.50.

Clean, nice rooms.  I would stay again.
Downtown is a ghost town at night on any night other than Friday or Saturday

For the value, this hotel exceeded my expectations greatly, and I would strongly recommend the place for anyone visiting Minneapolis, particularly the convention center, which is 1 block away. The staff is FANTASTIC - as friendly as any I've ever come across. The front desk staff in particular was marvelous; Heidi and Lindsay in particular. I switched rooms twice in a four-night stay (for reasons that had nothing to do with the hotel) and they were so gracious and accommodating each time. Simply marvelous. Rooms are comfortable and clean, the soap/shampoo dispensers in the shower are a great idea, everything worked well, including the FREE wi-fi. The breakfast was very good, and I had a pizza for dinner at the bar that was also terrific. I almost want to invent a reason to come back to Minneapolis so I can stay here again.

This place isn't bad.  Yes, you can hear a little road noise from the highway.  Yes, it's a little on the small side.  But it's clean, the staff is friendly and knowledgeable, and I was able to get a decent night's rest.

Bathroom: everything still has that "just built" freshness to it.
Bed: ditto.  Was very comfy
TV: New flat screen with good picture quality.
Air conditioning: quiet and very effective.
Fitness center: it's tiny.  Functional, but that's about it.
Pool: I didn't use it, but it looks pretty nice!  Has a lot of purplish-blue lights giving it a very different feel.

I have stayed at better Hilton Garden Inn hotels before, but this certainly isn't the worst.  This location was by far the most convenient for me as I could easily walk to the convention center and to my client just 2 blocks away.

Pretty good hotel in a strange location near the freeway and a church. The church bells were ringing loudly enough upon arrival to cause me some concern as to whether they would be an issue but I didn't hear them again. The hotel isn't easy to get to although I find the streets in downtown Minneapolis to be confusing. Valet parking is the only choice and as a result, it's spendy. The Nicollet Mall area is within 6-8 blocks with a lot of shopping and restaurant choices. The rooms are comfortable as are the beds. Nice lobby with a fireplace, restaurant and bar. Also a shuttle service can take you short distances as a complimentary service. Good choice as business hotel as are most Hilton Garden Inns.

So, the first three nights of my stay at this hotel were wonderful.  Then, at 12 am the morning of the day that I'm driving 14 hours cross country, Vikings fans descend on the city and specifically this hotel.  There was banging and yelling and LOTS of partying.

Now, I can appreciate a good party.  However, when I pay a fair amount of money to stay at a hotel (one that's nicer than, say, the Super 8), I expect a quiet nights sleep; one that leaves me rested and ready to start the day.  And, at the very least, I expect hotel customer service to quiet the peeps that are acting all kinds of crazy.  Apparently, my expectations were way too high for the Hilton...

Instead, after speaking with the customer service rep (who might I add acted horribly towards me and was obviously enjoying the party) three times about the situation and him insisting there was nothing he could do about it, we decided to check out...AT 3 AM.  I demanded a refund and he said that since we booked our stay through Expedia that we'd have to get the refund from Expedia.  I left.  Royally pissed off.

So, after returning from our trip, I called to try to negotiate with the manager for a refund or a free night's stay.  I used to work in hospitality, I know the drill.  The "customer service supervisor" told me they could offer me a 20% discount.  Totally not satisfied, I spoke with the actual Manager and he offered me the employee discount (what amounted to not quite $15 off).   Then, I left a message for the General Manager and he hasn't returned my phone call.  So much for their "Customer Really Matters" Relationship Management.

What their actions told me is that they want all the noise makers in the Minneapolis area to stay at their hotel.  And, they prefer those who are considerate, and respectful to stay far, far away.  Heard, Hilton.  Heard.

P.S.  I spoke with Expedia, who without the help of Hilton (who *strongly* denied even their request at the refund) offered me a travel voucher.  They also informed me that Hilton could have offered me the refund from the get-go.

They also neglect to make sure you are fully aware of the fact that there is no parking on site.  Additionally, they charge $24 a day for valet parking.

Nice hotel - just like any other Hilton Garden Inn. Service is great here. Place is only very expensive valet parking ($24 night). I stay here anytime I visit.

PS. Minneapolis traffic at rush hour time is terrible. Don't try to get to the hotel between 430p and 6 local time. It'll take you an hour to go 2 miles.

Very nice hotel. I would definitely come back for the following reasons.
- easy to get to from the airport
- extremely friendly staff from the valet, the check-in staff, the house-keeping staff, to the bar tender
- hotel and rooms has a bright modern feel
- lots of electrical outlets (at the desk top level!!!!!)
- fast and FREE Internet service - both wired and wireless. Not like other hotels that charge $12/day

Only downside
- away from the downtown core (so depending on where you need to be)

The next time I am Minneapolis, I wil definitely consider HGI.

Chris (the GM) greated me as I came in and welcomed me to the hotel.  The entire staff helped me find a Sushi restaurant with their opinions and what they had heard about each restaurant on their list.

The breakfast staff was helpful, and efficient.  The servers were all very friendly.

I wish I could have stayed longer instead of moving to the Renaissance (Marriot) for a conference.  The Renaissance was a big dissapointment, whereas this Hilton Garden Inn was the great.

The Hilton Garden Inn is very clean and inexpensive but a little out of the way for a downtown hotel. The bars and restaurants on Nicollet Mall are at least a five minute walk away, which isn't bad but there's nothing within a block or two from the hotel in case you were lazy or the weather sucked. Downtown Minneapolis is a ghost town at night so the walk back from Nicollet Mall isn't the most comfortable.

Free internet is nice. Parking is valet-only but public lots abound in downtown Minneapolis.

Stayed here one night coming into town for a friend's wedding.  I'd say it was a pretty good quality/price ratio.  Our room was huge, for under $100 so we were quite happy.  Walking distance to Hell's Kitchen (very good brunch) and other downtown areas.  Friendly staff.  Would stay again.

We normally stay at Hampton Inns and when we could not find one decided on this as part of the Hilton Honors family.  We were pleasantly surprised.  Staff were fantastic, friendly, helpful, nice.  Rooms were up to Hampton Inn standards.  Pool was great and the kids were happy there were toys in there. Eat in the on site restaurant and the food was great, loved the booths with the personal TV, kept the kids occupied. No included breakfast as in all Hampton's we have stayed it, but fridge in the room totally made up for it so we could have food at any time.  Yes valet parking, but it was only two blocks from the conference centre and that was super helpful.  its an easy walk.  starbucks is three blocks to the north!  Thank you very much, we will be back.

Albeit it akwardly located in downtown, this is a really beautiful hotel with a great staff! My bf and I stayed here for 4 nights last week and had zero complaints while we were here. The front staff was very helpful with our requests (dry cleaning, laundry room, car service, etc), our room  after cleaning and the rest of the hotel was spotless, and the amenities were pretty good for the price. We had their breakfast one morning which wasn't extraordinary, but we didn't really expect much. But if/when I'm back in the area, I'll definitely consider this hotel again .

Very clean rooms, a nice restaurant/bar in the lobby and located conveniently off the highway right in the middle of the city, close to everywhere. One of my favorite places to stay in Minneapolis, next only to the Commons Hotel located on the UMN campus.

I purchased my two-day stay here through hotels.com for my friends' wedding. I don't expect much from hotels except a clean bathroom and bedsheets and those needs were met.

One cool thing about this hotel has dispensers for their shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. I truly appreciate the eco-friendly approach to hotel luxury.

The staff is nice, but I'd suggest bringing your own snacks. A $2.50 Clif Bar is crazy.

Stayed here for 1 night in July.  We took the light rail from O'hare to downtown Minneapolis (totally worth it).  The hotel offered to pick us up in their complimentary van from the train station!! I called the hotel when we arrived and they were there within 10 minutes.  Friendly staff, clean rooms, and amazing accommodations.  Although we didn't go to the bar or restaurant in the hotel, prices didn't look to out of hand.

Due to the fact that we took the light rail in, we didn't drive; but it didn't look like there was much parking available.  I will certainly be back to this Hilton Garden Inn next time I'm in Minneapolis.

When I am on vacation, I look for a spot that is easy to get to and still close enough to everything that I can just walk.  I look for a spot that is warm, inviting, comfortable, but not homely.  I found it this past weekend at this property.  Olwen in the restaurant and Ira at the main desk were especially helpful.  The hotel always has fresh coffee as well as I discovered fresh baked chocolate chip cookies in the afternoon.  I didn't get a chance to try their fitness room, but there pool is stocked with plenty of towels and the water was great.
Free Wi-fi was great, rooms were spacious and the beds were comfortable.
Awesome value, look no further then this spot for a great experience.

I didn't use the complimentary car service, maybe next time

This place was absolutely amazing!!  They greeted me with warm smiles everyday, they knew my name from the first day, and they helped me get reservations at a super fancy restaurant.

The staff completely blew my mind with their unbelievable service, and let me just tell you about the beds, they were the most amazing beds I've ever slept it, and I get to sleep in a lot of hotel beds.

All in all this was the very best experience I've had at any hotel yet and I highly recommend that if you're traveling, that you make plans to stay here.

Priceline was being uncooperative for 2 nights of our 4 night stay so i reached in to the bag of Hilton points and ended up at the Garden Inn. It is on the edge of downtown, but that makes it closer to the uptown area and Lake Calhoun.

We had a great two nights here. We were on the tenth floor in the corner and had a great view of the city. Room had a fridge and microwave and was wonderfully clean.

Breakfast at the restaurant was buffet style of sorts, with omelet, french toast, pancake orders placed at the window along with sides like potatoes or bacon. i was happy with the breakfast, not sure if it was worth $13 but thought it was great for the Hilton Honors voucher price of free. Didn't think there was an issue being close to the road or too many roads....it's downtown, there are a lot of roads and if you are concerned about crossing the roads, utilize the stop lights for pedestrians.

Staff was very friendly, had a nice workout center, and a little pool.  Not sure if free wifi was just for Hilton Honors members or not.

#1 on Tripadvisor is pretty convincing as well.

Beautiful, Clean and Friendly Staff!

I stayed here on a long business trip. If here for a weekend or a couple days I would say, fabulous pick!

Con - Was disappointing that they did not have a hot tub, they do however have a Scalene Water Pool. It was new and refreshing to me...

Con - The parking was a huge issue for me. $24 Valet or $6-$9 parking at a garage a couple blocks down the street. Being a lone female traveler, often coming back after dark I found this bothersome. Safe area though... Also, when I checked in, it was very unclear where to park or unload. There are 3- 15 minute spots and they were all full. I felt pretty awkward as I unpacked my life's belongings (seeing as how I was staying 3 weeks) as the people in the Hotel restaurant gawked out the window directly in front of me.

Con - Their is no late night food close that I could find (late night meaning after 2am) and room service ends early. They have a convenient Pantry downstairs with inexpensive snacks and microwave items, I took advantage of a late night Ice Cream sandwich a couple times...

Pro - The evening cookies that they put out are UNBELIEVABLE.

Pro - House Keeping was top notch... They folded my clothes for me, lined my shoes, straightened my messy bathroom. Some may find it invasive... I thought it was fabulous.

Tip - Half way through my trip I realized that my cardboard stiff bed was adjustable! It's one of those sleep number mattress! There is a panel on the side of the mattress to adjust.

WOW!  The staff of the Hilton Garden Inn Minneapolis are the best. The rooms are great.  The food is delicious.  The location is convenient.  My experience at this hotel saved my trip!

I traveled to the Twin Cities to receive a regional Emmy with the Minnesota National Guard's 34th Infantry Division, the unit I deployed with in 2009.  After a less-than-enjoyable travel experience, which included a three-hour delay on the tarmac in DC, a convoluted flight connection in LaGuardia, and a stolen work laptop at MSP), my boyfriend Karl and I finally arrived at the hotel.

Now, Minnesotans are known for being nice, but Hayley, the clerk at the front desk, with her kindness, generosity, and compassion transcended my definition of nice.  After hearing our tale of travel hell, she helped us replace the lost charging cables for our phones,  gave us complimentary breakfasts during our stay, and she gave us complimentary drinks to take the edge off.  I couldn't wait to soak in the whirlpool tub in our room. Sadly, the hotel had overbooked, and we were put in a regular king room.

This normally would have impacted my rating of my stay, but Thea, the hospitality manager came to the rescue and offered us complimentary dinner, reduced our rate to the regular King rate, and promised to move us to a whirlpool suite the next morning.

The hotel is a couple blocks from a CVS, a Target, and a grocery store.  Very convenient for all the things we lost in the laptop bag.  I left Karl in the bar to order dinner while I headed off to the CVS.  The hotel is located in a very nice area, next to a park.

The dinner was delicious -- try the chicken sandwich and the garlic, brie mashed potatoes. When we finally went to sleep, the beds were amazing.  While Karl likes sleeping on mattress as hard as a slab of concrete, I like pillow tops.  We had the best of both worlds with the adjustable mattress.

The next morning, Mars, the breakfast chef, made for us the most amazing omelettes.  The breakfast buffet had Belgian waffles!  I ate too much, but it was delicious.

After breakfast, putting my hair in pin curls and moving to our new room, we decided to venture out to the Mall of America.  The hotel offers a shuttle to the light rail (be sure to tip Carlos - he is an excellent driver).  For $1.75 each, we arrived at MOA in 40 minutes on the light rail.

The hotel offered us a ride to the Hennepin Performing Arts Center in a limousine for $10, and we arrived at the Midwest Regional Emmys in style.    When we returned to the hotel, Hayley and the staff had put in our room a bottle of champagne, a bouquet of lilies, an assortment of candy, a Minnesota mug, and the sweetest note.  They thanked me for my military service and wished they could do more in return.  I almost cried.

Though I'm not much of a hugger, I couldn't wait to embrace Hayley for all she had done to save our trip.  Karl said, "Normally, when I stay at a hotel, I would rather be at home.  This time, I wished we could have stayed longer."

Next time I go back to Minneapolis, I will only stay at the Hilton Garden Inn.

This is an acceptable option for an overnight downtown. I have stayed a couple of times for different events. It is clean, usually have good deals. My one complaint is the parking situation. There isn't much for street around there and it was $25 for their lot. Would have been nice to know before arriving.

Really love this hotel. We stayed 3 nights while moving our son out of his dorm at the Univ. of Minn.. We have stayed at three or four other hotels in the area and this is by far our favorite. The staff is extremely helpful and always seems to be looking for ways to make the stay more pleasant. The location was great for everything we wanted to do. Walking distance to Nicollet Mall and lots of great bars and restaurants. We had tickets to a twins game and were delighted to find that there is a shuttle to and from the game. Coming home we mentioned we were hungry and the driver (John) dropped us at a restaurant and came in with us to make sure the kitchen was still open. We had great food and walked the 3 blocks back to the hotel. Valet parking was included in our reservation so parking wasn't an issue at all. We will definitely be staying here in August when we bring our son back to school.
Room was clean, quiet and had comfortable beds. We had a view of the church across the street that was lovely. Can't wait to come back!

What can you say?  It's a Hilton Garden Inn.  It's fine.  It's Downtown.  The rooms are clean & the service is good.

But here are the 'bleahs':  There is no parking.  You will pay the valet/day.  If you catch a great rate, they will include the parking, otherwise expect to pay top dollar for the room and pay to park.

This hotel is built on the idea of real estate costs money.  So they use every bit of it they have to try and save cash - but still pass the costs to you.

The funniest thing about this hotel?  I have never seen a building built so close to the road.  get an upper floor room or die...

I stayed here for the weekend when visiting MSP. The room was clean, bed was comfortable, the bathroom was updated & had nice smelling soap & shampoo. The service was good.

It is in kind of a weird location. On the plus side, you can park in the public garage right around the corner for 8 or 9 dollars overnight instead of paying the $24 valet fee at the hotel (in case you're into saving $$ like me).

I would stay here again.

I was really surprised and impressed by this Hilton Garden Inn.  I was in town for a wedding and I got a special wedding party rate at this hotel.  The staff were super friendly and very responsive.  I had a problem with the heater in my room (very important in Minneapolis!) and the maintenance guy fixed it right away when I called the front desk at 10:00 PM.

The bed and furnishings were great and my room was especially clean. I made sure to tip the hotel maid as my room was so well prepared.  The location has easy access to the freeways and is right near downtown.

The only thing that keeps me from giving it five stars is that the staff at the restaurant were a little grouchy (nothing out of line) and they didn't get my order quite right.  They also seemed to be rushing me.

I'd definitely stay there again if I have to go to Minneapolis.

The Hilton Garden Inn is a wonderful place to stay... especially if you are travelling by use of public transit and need a hotel close to the Minneapolis Convention Center.

Arriving to the city late at night, I took the Metro Light Rail to Government Plaza where the hotel's shuttle drove my weary legs right to the hotel's front door.  Located only a handful of blocks from this station as it was, I felt safer taking this shuttle on my first night in.  From then on out, I was able to easily walk to most of the places I wanted to be in downtown... the Nicolett Mall area, Target Field, Minneapolis Sculpture Garden, etc are all easily reached from this location.  Having come to Minneapolis for Walden University's most recent commencement ceremonies, I was delighted to see a "Welcome Walden!" sign on entering this hotel's front doors.

Check-in was a breeze, I was given a room on the 4th floor, a couple room keys, and I was on my way.  Even at 11pm when I arrived, the lobby offered hot coffee and water for tea and hot chocolate.  The front desk helped offer some options in the way of late-night delivery but I opted to grab a quick snack from their small pantry adjacent to the main desk.  Overpriced for sure, but its the convenience your paying for.  A microwavable meal and bag of chips later, I trekked up to my room.

The room, very spacious, was extremely clean, updated, and comfortable.  Amenities included a sleep-number bed, microwave, small refrigerator, flat-screen television, hair dryer, arm chair, desk, coffee pot, etc.  There is a small gym and pool area which were usually empty on my visiting them.  Though the hotel itself appears to be placed on a very small lot of land, there is some outdoor seating as well as an outdoor fire pit/display.

My only gripe came from the one day we decided to have breakfast at the hotel's restaurant.  It being a busy Sunday morning, I understood when there was no one at the hostess stand immediately to greet me and explain the procedure for seating and retrieving breakfast.  After waiting awhile, I approached an employee who stated that I could simply order food if I desired from the kitchen window, take the number given to me, collect any other self-serve items I wanted, then sit anywhere and my food would be brought to me.  Having traveled with another person, my grumbling belly was happy to see her plate arrive as she had ordered right ahead of me.  By the time she finished her heaping plateful of food, I still had yet to receive mine.  Waitresses were flying around the breakfast area, creating an anxiety and rush that only heightened my frustration over my wait.  Others orders came and went before I finally received my plate.  NOT worth the $12 for this buffet.  Great place to stay.... just eat elsewhere.

This hotel is perfectly fine -- the rooms are clean and well-appointed, the staff is professional, and the decor is nice. The air conditioner works very well and keeps the room at a nice temperature -- plus, they don't turn the a/c off when it's cold outside, which is a nice feature since the windows don't open.

The restaurant is standard hotel fare -- nothing great, but acceptable.

My issue with the hotel is the same one I have with most hotels in the Hilton Garden Inn family. The beds are so uncomfortable! Each bed has this adjustment knob on each side that allows you to select from "firm" to "soft." The problem is that they don't seem to work! I set both sides of the king-sized bed all of the way to "soft," and the only variation was that one side was rock-hard, and the other was slightly softer. It was very difficult to sleep comfortably. I found the same thing to be true when I stayed at an HGI in Florida two weeks ago. I think the bed setting thing was a good idea when installed, but I suspect that the mattresses at these hotels are just worn out now and the selection switch just doesn't work anymore.

Because the bed thing is so critically important, I just can't rate this place higher than 2.

My wife and I spent a night at this hotel last night.  We stayed in a Deluxe Corner room.  The rates are more than reasonable for this hotel.  It is clean and the room was comfortable.  I wouldn't call it spacious, but it was nice. The furniture and decor is well done.  The bed was very comfortable.  The walk-in shower was a little small for me, but the shower head made up for it - I didn't want to get out.

My main comment is related to the staff.  Everyone was friendly and helpful.  It is a very well managed property with what appears to be a great culture.

We will return!

An amazing experience and customer service. When my baby fell asleep in my arms while at the restaurant, I took her to my room and the waitress, Lyvia brought all my food to my room without me knowing. On top of that I entered the room to find a note from the Guest Services Leader, Hayley thanking my family for our service in the military and wishing us a safe trip. It's little human touches such as these that make for an amazing stay at a hotel. Highly recommend this place if you're in downtown Minneapolis. Amazing staff.

Four words sum up this experience: I don't think so.

1. They screwed up our reservation to start with. Most hotels know how to turn that into a non issue. This reception clerk was not all that sympathetic at all. She prattled on about how the computer shows a 1 night reservation only...blah blah blah. Yes I know that. Please fix it. Oh and there was no apology.  A manager finally intervened and all went well thereafter. They get dinged because of the poor handling.

2. Rooms are out of date and overly plain. Wear and tear is quite evident.

3. Room service is not available all day. They have these odd hours with a large break in the middle of the day. What?

4. The Garden Grille and Bar downstairs has some seriously sad service. Service is slow and no one's paying attention to the podium. It is not clear whether you should wait for a host or seat yourself. Were that clear, there likely would be no issue.

Bottom line this hotel needs some redecorating, better service and overall service training. I do love, love, love the bed and if all I'm there for is to sleep all the rest of this stuff isn't a big deal. But for a girls' weekend or something where you don't want to go out much, go elsewhere.

We only stayed one night, but our stay was great! The breakfast was delicious (although make sure you know all of your options--I guess I missed the list and would have loved the eggs benedict that the table next to me ordered). The room was quiet, clean and the beds totally comfortable. Everything looks new. The staff was helpful and the plate of fresh cookies and flavored water when we arrived hit the spot. Getting to the hotel can be a bit tricky with all of the one way roads and fortunately our valet parking was included with the package we purchased--$24 is a bit steep for me in that location.

This is a perfectly acceptable chain hotel. The rooms are clean, the staff is friendly, there is DirecTV in the room. For barely being out of the heart of downtown, the rates are more than reasonable. I really enjoyed everything about staying here with the exception of the bed, it really is not a very comfortable mattress. Really firm and the knob to make it softer just deflates it like an air mattress.

Hilton Garden Inn is one of my go-to hotel chains when traveling - so I was looking forward to my week in Minneapolis.

I checked in on a Monday afternoon and departed Friday morning.

My room was on the 4th floor at the very end of the hallway, so it was quiet overall. My room was clean, had an HD TV, a mini fridge, free internet access, and AC that worked.

- There are not many HD TV channels available on the HD TV
- The AC unit,, while it worked well, it was rather noisy. C'mon HGI, upgrade to modern, quiet units!
- The pillows flattened down to the thickness of pizza boxes. I really wanted some thicker, more substantial pillows!
- Upon arrival, I was unaware that my Mini-fridge was turned off. I had to turn it on and call down to the front desk to tell me what setting to set the thermostat. So my bottled water and V-8 was not cold a few hours after I stuck it in the fridge.
- The free internet access was rather slow. Slow enough that each day I opted to upgrade for an additional $4.95 to the much faster service.

The valet staff was efficient when requested to retrieve my vehicle. There is only valet parking here ($24.00 per day) - no personal parking.

Hotel staff was friendly and efficient.

I'd probably stay here again.

My friends and I really loved this hotel.  It's very close to the Minneapolis Convention Center and it's close to some great restaurants. Also, the view from my hotel window was beautiful.

I think what I liked the best about this hotel was the great service.   The front desk ladies were warm and inviting, the valet guys were friendly, and the guy I had deliver my room service was totally professional and efficient.  I highly recommend this hotel's room service as well because they are quick with the order, the presentation is elegant, and the food is delicious. I can guarantee to you that it will be cheaper than some of the restaurants you could go to nearby.

As for the rooms, I thought they were quite comfortable.  The beds were nice, the room was clean, and it had a nice relaxing atmosphere.  There is a mini fridge, microwave, and other amenities in the room. While I'm speaking about the room, I would like to compliment the great housekeeping staff.  The lady who came to our door was very quick at changing the towels and trash out.  She was so nice!

Thanks for the great stay!
