I stay at several different Holiday Inns and Holiday Inn Expresses every year and this one was ok, but I wouldn't stay there again.  It's easy to locate and can be found right off the interstate.  If you want something to eat, I was told that a shuttle runs back and forth to the Mall of America.  I had a car and avoided the mall and can't say what it's like.  No food is walking distance, with the exception of the Green Mill (attached to the hotel).  The hotel was towards the end of renovations and was bustling with construction workers, but this wasn't an issue.  The room was clean and the hotel had a great pool area.  The work out room's treadmill and elliptical were not working.  I reported this to the front desk, but never went back to check on it.  Wireless Internet worked well (a rarity it seems lately).  There was usually two or more front desk people, a plus if you've ever stayed somewhere where the attendant was never available.  I even saw the staff greet customers by name (aka Mr. so-and-so, etc.).  Why say all these positive things and three stars.  It started with breakfast and realizing I was charged $1.89 for a cup of coffee.  Not a big deal, except for the hotel provided it for FREE, 15 feet away!  Coffee snob that I am didn't care for the coffee much anyway.  I asked my server about it and he said "That's the way it is".  Frustrated by the lack of concern I asked someone at the front desk and they also said "That's the way it is".  This is not about the $1.89, it's about being nicked and dimed and two staff members that blew me off.

Clean, fairly new hotel with large convention facilities. Beautifully landscaped inner courtyard is enclosed so pool and spa are indoors. Room is large and comfortable. Good internet connection in room. What else can one say about a motel?  In this one, we found our room lacked a remote control. It also lacked a chair at the desk, although it also had a comfortable easy chair with ottoman. We went to the front desk and asked about the deficiencies. A charming desk clerk named Stephanie informed us that the room's TV had just been upgraded to a flat screen and the remotes hadn't come. She arranged delivery of the missing chair and gave us an $80 reduction for our two nights stay in compensation for the missing remote. Good customer service.

Excellent employees, restaurant and location.  The only thing that kept it from 5 stars, is there is no vent in bathroom for the steam.  It had a very bad smell. And window only opened an inch.  Otherwise i will stay here again.

Part of my Memorial Day Minneapolis experience.

Near the Mall of America and IKEA; you can walk if you want.  Morning breakfast is typical fare and they did a nice job.  WI-FI was not strong and we kept losing signal; frustrating.  Maybe we were on when the rest of the guests were.  Get a stronger signal to send!

Free airport shuttle and also to the Mall.

If you want to be in this part of town, you could do worse, and maybe not much better.

The man and I visited this hotel for a wedding. It was clean, and looked very classy for a Holiday Inn. The staff was lovely. Sadly, we pouted when we realized there was no such continental breakfast. I love me some cereal, bagels, juice, and the like! The choice of firm or soft pillow was nice too!

Prices were a little high (then again, it was the weekend and close to the MOA). Our room walked right out into the indoor courtyard/pool area which seemed nice until we realized that children would be hooting and hollering until the pool closed and bright and early in the morning. Ack!

Overall, a decent updated hotel that was nothing spectacular nor disappointing.

LOVE the chain. Everything that you need for a night on the road with employees that try to go out of their way to make you feel like a valued guest.

Free parking.  Conveniently located off a major highway. WiFi was free, but I had poor connection.  The staff was nice, but that was it.  The rooms were suppose to be smoke-free, but mine had lingering smoke smell to it.  I felt like gagging, but I dealt with it.  Bathroom was clean.  Very limited counter space.  Due to the smoke smelled room, I would not stay here again.

One expects to be able to get a good nite sleep when they stay in a hotel.   While I can't speak about the mattresses in EVERY room, I can say the mattress in the room I stayed in was horrible.  Lumpy & saggy.  Couldn't find a comfortable position, in a 3-nite stay.  Gave my back a knot that I still have, days after returning home.
Also, The HVAC system is either always on or off, in either AC or heat mode (it was winter, so we were using the heat). No thermostat.  And it is LOUD, and HOT.  So we chose to blast the heat, and then turn it off for sleeping, only to wake up in the nite, shivering, having to blast the heat again for 15min.
Kids wanted to use the pool.  Small but clean.  And they do have a hot tub.
    Didn't eat at the restaurant.

Typical Holiday Inn fare - nothing disappointing or exciting.

Free airport shuttle also runs to Mall of America if you're so inclined.  Clean, with friendly staff.  We booked with points, so I can't speak to the price.
