Great place to stay, esp. with younger kids. Suites are big enough to give everyone their own space. Free breakfast is average, as is supper, but BOTH are free, so it helps if you're looking to save some $. Staff are very friendly. You can walk to Bloomingdale's entrance to MoA w/in 5 min.

I am a Hilton brand fan but rarely stay at Homewood Suites as these are typically for extended stays. However local rates being high, this was a bargain. Bonus is that this is a really nice hotel. I was told that I was receiving an upgrade and was surprised at how large the room was. It was nice enough but my "upgrade" consisted of a two bedroom suite. Not much of a bonus for a lone business travel. Regardless, room was nice, people are nice and free breakfast and dinner!

This is our normal stop at the Mall of America, and this was the first time I have been disappointed.  While a nice clean hotel, quiet, with friendly staff, I was disappointed in the breakfast spread variety.  The chicken and egg biscuits were tasty, but there was not much in the way of fruit or pastries.  Our room was standard, but the blanket for the hidabed felt more like foam than a blanket and was really kind of gross.  We like Homewood Suites for the family because it gives us 2 tvs and the adults can put kids to bed in hide a bed and stay up later, but this was the first time I have truly been disappointed in the hotel.

I am a business traveler and Homewood Suites are one of my first choices for a place to stay.  Generally they are spacious, clean and they offer a lot of amenities to make your stay comfortable.

The appeal to this place is that it is right across the street from Mall of America and the rooms are spacious as advertised.  No argument there.

On the downside, this has to be the dirtiest Homewood I've ever stayed at, hallway carpets stained, pool water was cloudy and murky, rooms in a slight state of disarray and bathroom was dark and unappealing.  Also, the food is about the worst food I've ever seen, especially the so-called managers reception.  Breakfast was this dried up breakfast burrito crap and stale breads (I stayed with the cereal) and the managers reception served the worst excuse for a caesars salad I've ever seen.  They tried to make caesar salad with spring mix.  Just a wilted mess.  And no beer!  The first and only managers reception I've been at where there was no beer.

If you're looking for a flop to crash at after spending the mortgage payment at Mall of America, this is your place.  If you want a decent hotel, try someplace else.

Nicer than your typical homewood.  very quick pickup by the shuttle at 10:30 pm at the airport.  and an ihop in the parking lot open 24/7 - what more can i ask?

I used this for a quick business trip last Thursday.   Chose this hotel mainly due to price in the area.  It's located right across the street from the Mall of America.

Not sure if they have airport pick-up but they definitely have an hourly shuttle to both the airport and the mall.

Since I was only there for a few hours of sleep I didn't experience too much of the hotel.  Night staff was very courteous and quick to check us in.  Bed was really comfortable.   Both of my two other co-workers all mentioned how comfortable the beds were at breakfast the next morning.

Breakfast was decent.  Eggs, sausage, oatmeal and waffle machine.  Your usual hotel buffet.

I had a very comfortable 3 night stay. Free hot breakfast, excellent coffee around the clock, and free dinner as well! My room was clean and spacious. An easy walk across the street to the Mall of America. I felt safe coming and going alone. Free Wi-Fi, and I won a free item from the Suite Shop, which was fun and much appreciated (picked up a bag of ring pops to bring home to my son). Staff were kind and seemed genuinely happy. Free shuttle to and from airport - almost no wait at all! The light rail is close by and goes all the way to downtown Minneapolis for $2.25. Would definitely stay here again.

I stayed here for 4 weeks.... quite a stay, so I feel I got a great impression of how things always are here...
Great location right across the street from the Mall of America.
Nice hotel. Great staff. Good breakfast, and good dinners.
The rooms are nice and updated (see my pics).
The only problem I have with the hotel is the hall noise. The door must be paper thin. You can hear everything!!!  Not to mention everyone seems to slam their doors which make the rest of the nearby doors rattle. Very annoying.
There has to be something that can be done to keep the doors from slamming and better soundproofing them.
If it weren't for that, I could easily give this place 4 stars.... But the hall noise is a real disappointment.

This hotel is directly across the Mall of America.  I was here for business for 3 days and received a $129/night rate. The hotel is nice, rooms clean and full kitchen updated.

The food is ok, and for those of you who plan with this - no beer/wine in the evening.

If I was traveling with my family on vacation here this would be a great location.  For business it's good too.  Why the 3? Nothing blows me away about the property but nothing bad so it's not a bad 3.

Clean, updated and friendly staff. Lots of ++ with airport shuttle, MOA shuttle, and transit station station. Very close to MOA, airport, and transit station.  Standard morning breakfast offerings and was surprised they also offered dinner.  Fresh salads with dinner which was nice. Would definitely recommend!

Lovely place to stay. Right next to Mall of America so I got to shop. Chevy's, IHOP, and Friday's are all right by it as well so you can grab a bite to eat. Front desk staff was very helpful with getting me to Mall of America and knowing where things were. If I ever get a chance to come back to Minneapolis I will be staying here!

Dated, Dirty, Going Downhill fast! We had reserved a room for 12 days and after 4 we just had to switch to something nicer. We found it to be a bit peculiar that there are signs in the parking lot that read "owner assumes all risk" and there happen to be broken window glass right next to one of the signs.

The elevators are extremely slow and always smell like the last person(s) who rode in it forgot to bath for a week or so!

As mentioned the rooms are dated and not very clean, the breakfast isn't too bad if you're in a huge hurry, you're starving and just don't have time to stop anywhere else. oh; FYI at any given time you will find a shady looking stranger at either the front entrance or hanging out and one of the side doors.

We give this hotel two stars because the hot water is reliable and there is an app you can download that controls the TVs instead of sharing three billion germs that are imbedded onto the remotes. At this point we may change this to one star if we think of anything else! Sorry but we won't be back, it's pretty gross!

I ended up at this hotel since my other go-to hotel was booked.  I was pleasantly surprised.  Elyse at the front desk was very bubbly and helpful.  The room had great amenities, and actually had serve ware and paper towels.  Many suites I stay at do not have these in the room.  Extra bath towels, which is always a plus.  Neutrogena bath amenities.  The beds were comfortable.

The manager reception is pretty much a full dinner.  It actually wasn't bad tasting.  Breakfast is pretty continental but there is also a waffle machine to make your own.

There is a small "convenience" shop is you need anything else quick.  Across the parking lot is an IHOP and a TGI Fridays.  Across the street is the Mall of America.  Easy to walk to if you go through the Radisson, or Homewood Suites has a shuttle that runs there every hour.

Since it is so close to MoA, supposedly it can get booked pretty quickly during key seasons, so make sure you book ahead of time.

I was pleasantly surprised with my experience and will keep this Homewood Suites on my radar for the next time I'm in the Minneapolis/St. Paul area.

I stayed here for about three weeks and really enjoyed it.  It's located near several restaurants and right across from Mall of America. The complementary shuttle makes trips to the MoA and to and from the airport. It also has complimentary breakfast and dinner most days. It has an indoor pool, which is a great idea considering that it snows outside half of the time.

Staff is great and very responsive. Rooms are always clean and this time I was greeted with candies and a coffee mug. The dinner isn't bad for being at a hotel and the breakfast is a great perk as well.

I have never met such an unaccommodating group of people.   Other reviews talk about the poor service at the front desk.    I am a regular at Hilton and have decided to avoid this hotel at all costs.

Cancelled reservation.   Days later charged me for the room anyway.   (5 days later).    Hotel never showed up on my itinerary after I cancelled it.    Found front desk and general manager to be combative and unyielding.   Stay at Hilton 200 nights per year - NEVER again at this location.    On previous stay - somebody had smoked in the room prior to my arrival and the hotel attempted to accuse me of smoking (non-smoker).   You would have thought that I learned my lesson.

Great hotel. I am a Hilton fan though. If you stay at Homewood for free happy hour, you won't find it here but the grocery store is 7 bucks uber and you can fix that yourself. Great staff, clean, loved it. Walk right across the street to Mall of America and light rail is a short walk also.

Homewood Suites is my home away from home.  I would give this five stars but had a mishap at the beginning when I made my reservations.  When I first called, the guy at the front desk said no availability.  No more than one day later, another coworker said he got in.  So I called back and got a female who said they could accommodate me.  Not sure what happen but the first night, I had to stay another hotel and then come back to stay here fore the remaining 15 days.  So try again if you don't get in the first time.

Overall, I was happy that I got Homewood Suites.  Friendly staff and it was nice to know how convenient it was from the airport and Mall of America with the shuttle to take you to MOA.  It is nice to have a hot breakfast and a nice relaxing dinner when you get off of work.  I had to stay here over the Thanksgiving holiday, it was already hard to be away from family and friends during the holiday; however, the front manager and staff made my stay as smooth as possible and even got a few surprises in my room.  Loved the Duckapalooza game that they have every night that dinner was served.  It made you feel like a kid for moment.  Thank you, Hilton and thank you, Homewood Suites.  You have always come through to make me feel welcome.
