The rooms are very spacious and if you get on the east side you can get a fantastic sunrise view. Wifi is free in rooms. The gym is much better than most hotel gyms, I would definitely stay here again. The reason it's not 5 stars for me is parking (not included and not easy) and the receptionist was rude when I checked in.

Great location to downtown with easy access to plenty of great restaurants and shopping.  The parking was not so great having to have your ticket validate every time you left and VERY limited handicap spots. Two to be exact. There was a problem with the hot water and was without for 4 hours in the morning. Buffet breakfast was ok for being part of the price of the room but not outstanding. Overall the staff was very accommodating and the rooms were clean and we'll maintained.

This hotel was recently renovated. All the construction is complete, so disregard reviews on this place from other sites complaining about noise. Staff was very professional and courteous. It is one and a half blocks from the light rail so you can get there from the airport in about 25 minutes for a few dollars. The area around the building felt safe, even when I was walking around after midnight.

Location was perfect for those wanting to tour downtown or have business there. Many excellent restaurants within walking distance. Nicollete Mall is only 4 blocks away with a plethora of shopping and restaurant options. Zelo is on that strip, highly recommended by locals. The Metrodome is a 10 minute walk for those going to a Viking game. The 16 Bus, stop on 4th & 4th will get you to the University of Minnesota campus in 10-15 minutes.

Free breakfast was great. There are many options including fruit salad, yogurt, cottage cheese, assortment of cereals, French toast, pancakes, egg/sausage/cheese muffins, coffee, Tazo tea, juices; also fresh whole fruit, and, of course, the generic sugar-carb-loaded pastries and donuts.

There is a great gym with everything you need, which is open 24hrs, unlike other hotels that restrict access. Indoor pool and spa is sufficient.

If you are looking for a place for a large group to stay the common areas and breakfast area itself appears capable of accommodating several hundred people without difficulty.

The single rooms are large with separated areas for office space/lounging and sleeping. A television conveniently located in each section. Personally, it was too much space, but definitely not a complaint. The hotel is located on floors 8-14 of the building so the views are great of downtown. The bed was very comfortable and room clean.

There is a full bar with a couple of local draft beer options. The 24/7 cafe has decent food. I had a late night, and had an appetite when I returned. Chicken nachos were surprisingly tasty.

This is a great hotel that will satisfy anyone's needs for a place to stay in downtown Minneapolis. My advice though is to book through Priceline or Southwest to get the best rates.

Friendly front desk, suite for the room, free WiFi.

No room service, restaurant menu is unimpressive (if I'm picking up my own food, it should be worth it), parking needs daily validation, and staff in the "restaurant" is minimal.

Convenient and clean location. The large rooms and having the extra space is just great. It is the near downtown so easy to get to. There is parking down below for $20. If ur coming on the weekend. Sunday parking is free down below. They have a pool with a great view as they are on the seventh floor.

I didn't get to stay there every long (two nights), however, I was impressed with the room and the staff. The morning breakfast was exceptional.

There would be no hesitation to recommend this hotel to friends or family and i would be happy to stay there again.

It's facing some growing pains.

The GOOD

* Spacious rooms

* Friendly front desk staff (though it appears to be staffed by UofM students)

* Nice downtown location.

* 24/7 dining service (but no room service)

* Complimentary breakfast in spacious cafe/atrium location

* Solid workout facilities with impressive selection of free weights.

The BAD

* No room service. Sucks to have to go "pick up" your food at the bar.

* Housekeeping didn't clean my room. First time that's ever happened to me.

* In-and-out parking privileges require you to get your parking pass validated at the front desk every time you leave. inconvenient and annoying. They should give you a bar coded keycard or something at check-in.

The UGLY

* My room was hot and stuffy; thermostat didn't work (something to do w/ the hotel "naturally cooling" rooms during winter months?)

* Hot water pressure in the shower was almost non-existent. Very frustrating and disappointing.

OVERALL

Clean, spacious mid-level hotel with well-meaning staff that will need to work hard to overcome significant flaws in standard amenities,

I just spent the first night of three here, and I have to say that I am impressed....so much so that I am writing from my room! The reception/gallery attendants were polite and helpful, the room is perfect...great space to work, lounge with a book, and the bed was excellent.

The bartender made a great bloody mary, the complimentary breakfast was above and beyond good, and the 24/7 gallery menu has high quality food for reasonable prices---I don't mind having to go down to the lobby to pick it up.

Also, the WIFI is fast and has a good connection---and if you forget your cell phone, they have a universal charger you can use---how cool is that?

I checked in last week and the window in my room was cracked which made the room drafty. They were nice enough to put me in a better room so all was forgiven. I came in this week and the bathroom is filthy. The sink is clogged and there is red stuff on the walls and counter.

Nice hotel, large room, modern bathroom, free wifi, in/out parking privileges.

This hotel could be great if the staff paid attention to detail such as cleaning the rooms (I had to ask 3 times for housekeeping to clean and leave towels).  There is the early signs of mold in the beautiful shower and signs of wear and tear on the lamps.  The mattress was pretty soft if you like that.  The free breakfast has great possibilities but again, details such as cleaning up the mess from patrons and refilling the empty milk, juices, breads, pastries, newspapers.  Poor guy who was working the breakfast area, he was running around without any help with a large breakfast crowd.

For this price, everything was above and beyond what we expected! We usually go with the mid priced chains out in the 'burbs but going to a NBA game at Target Center we thought we'd give downtown a try. The location- walking distance to the venue using the skywalk (a little confusing but not bad and not Hyatt's fault) The staff- professional and friendly. The room- spacious, modern and up to date, and CLEAN. The bar/kitchen open late/24-7(these are all things I expect and assume I will get anywhere I stay but am disappointed so many times even at a higher price!!) We never gave Hyatt much of a chance but we will now look for a Hyatt Place when we travel!  Let's hope they continue to deliver!

I'm really not sure what to say. The king room was large, and quite empty. Almost spartan actually. A small sectional sofa in the sitting area, with a desk and tv on the opposite wall. A chair, bed and armoire in the sleeping area with a couple floating shelves as night stands. Another TV in the sleeping area on a large dresser.

Turns out the sectional folds out to another bed, possibly a queen size.

There is an audible alarm on the door, activated by a switch inside the unit. Nice feature really.

Other than the armoire, there isn't a single hook or hanging bar anywhere in the unit outside of a single hook in the bathroom.

Bathroom has a sliding frosted glass door. So when you turn on the lights in the bathroom (which aren't terribly bright by themselves) all the light ends up lighting the sleeping area to the point that I woke up my spouse in the middle of the night with the lights.

No door to desperate the sleeping area from anything else.

SPARTAN.  Did I say that already?

Now to the little things. This place is supposed to be newly renovated. We'll, explains the mold an dirt in the shower then please? Oh, fire the tile layer. They are all crooked and uneven, including the floor.

Reasonably quite stay, of course the hotel seemed to be misty empty. The bar was quite loud though, and the noise echoed around the open atrium area between the floors.

The buffet breakfast in the morning was honestly just nasty. Hot food that ha long gone cold, and was either undercooked or burnt to begin with. The milk and juice pitchers weren't kept very cold, milk just tasted odd. Very slim selection of foods over all. You'd get better at a restaurant anywhere in the area obviously. But you'd also get better food at a gas station as well.

All in all, I wouldn't stay here again. It quite simply isn't worth the cost, and it honestly wasn't very convenient.

Front desk staff is pleasant enough and our room was very comfortable and spacious. The complimentary breakfast was decent as well and the pool area has two separate whirlpools for adults which was nice. (Very small pool though!)

The bar area and bartender were nice and had a good happy hour. The food from the hotel though was NOT worth the money. Over $8 for a cheese plate that came with 2 slices each of cheese, runny red peppers, canned artichokes and no olives that were promised. Also the mozzarella sticks were cold. Don't waste your money on the food.

Lastly, I felt that I was lied to about their parking. When we first got their an associate explained to me how I could validate but the next morning we had a bill under our door for over $20 for parking.

I felt that the price of our stay + parking + taxes was not really worth it.
