What's that you say?  Warm cookies upon arrival?  Oh yes, it's true.  And while that fact alone is enough to keep me coming back, there is also an indoor pool, spa, and a small fitness center. (Perfect for working off the multitude of hot dogs and beer inevitably consumed at a Cardinals' game!)
Another handy fact: the rooms are almost assuredly sound proof.  I know this after hosting a fairly loud private dance party (invitees: myself), then hosting an entire band/party later that night until sometime after 4:30 in the morning.  I'm talking guitars and self-written tunes belted through the commotion usually associated with a hotel party.  For fear of tainting my pristine reputation, all I'll say is that very acrobatic extracurricluar activites also went uninterrupted at all hours.
The night shift staff was very cool about the assortment of characters I brought through; they have to be the most good natured tired people I've ever met.  In fact, the entire staff was really helpful from cabs to late-night delivery, to dealing with 4 AM drunken ramblings......I think I love it here.  You should go.  No, really.  Get into your car, drive to the airport and get on a St. Louie-bound flight RIGHT THIS INSTANT!!

real nice place.
i live in hotels, at least 15 nites out of the month.
service here was AWESOME, the bartender was real nice as well.
this is a popular spot for a lot of airline emp's, and customers/employees for the many businesses around
they run a 24 hour shuttle to the airport, and since they're owned by the same group that owns the Sheraton at Westpoint, run that shuttle 24hrs too!
got the room at corporate rate, so price was super good.
they also gave me a breakfast coupon (but i lost it).
room was comfy, kinda trendy/modern/boutiqey decor...the only mismatch in the room was the 1992 TV...LCD on the wall would have made it even better.
definitely be staying here the next time im in town...

Very nice hotel. Very clean, great staff, very helpful. I got a room for $54 a night so it was a steal. Housekeeping was not the best, they forgot to leave a plastic liner for the ice bucket but thats nothing major. Its a really quiet place to unwind. I highly recommend it and will be booking again.

I found a room in this hotel for $86 on kayak.com and was very happy with it. For the price and 3 star status, it's an exceptionally nice hotel. The location wasn't very good for our purposes, though. We had to drive 15-30 minutes to get anywhere we wanted to go. Still, I would consider staying there again, if the price were right.

This place would have gotten 5 stars except that it is not the easiest place to find. Once you are there however, it is a very nice hotel. Great lobby bar, work-out facility, pool and rooms!.

Typical Doubletree hotel; but the location is horrible if one doesn't have a car and wants to visit the sites and attractions of St. Louis.  There wasn't even a Starbucks or a convenience store anywhere within walking distance of the hotel.  Too isolated..  Going to see the Arch required waiting to take the hotel shuttle to the airport, then catching the light rail and taking it downtown...about an hour-long journey.

Hotel itself was just ok but every single person I dealt with was incredibly nice and helpful. Front desk, room service, breakfast staff, everyone was great. Bed very comfy. No central air, the rooms have individual units so that's not great. I was near elevator but very quiet.

The hotel itself is very convenient to west St. Louis and the airport.  Parking was ample.  The hotel bar was very nice although a little too loud to try and work in.

My room rate was very reasonable and the heat worked well.

Room service was good and relatively prompt.

The only two issues I had were the fact the maid seemed to clean every other day (I was there for a week) and the high cost of wireless internet access.  Never replaced the water glasses and emptied the trash once.  She did make the bed every day and that was the extent of it. I did not confirm that this wasn't some sort of green initiative on their part, but it made coming back after a long day of training almost a chore.

I probably should have said something after the third day, but I didn't want to complain.

This place is alright. Nice lobby bar with plenty of TVs to catch whatever game you're interested in. Friendly staff. Good and free breakfast if you've got HHonors status. Same goes with the wifi. They have an omelet bar! It's right next to the freeway but it's deceivingly actually a good few minutes off driving. Yet again at a Hilton property, no upgrades available for me...lame. Nothing to do within walking distance that I saw so make sure you've got a car or be prepared to taxi it.

Pretty standard DT property with downsides:
-  A/C wouldn't cool the room past 74 degrees
-  Difficult to find off the 270 ramp
-  No restaurants / stores within walking distance
-  No Executive Lounge (although they offer free breakfast for Diamonds)

That being said, it has a nice bar area with some big screen TVs and the rooms are decent.  The temperature problems were probably the biggest problem, it was only a problem a couple nights but then again it was only hot a couple days I was there.

I ended up staying at the Frontenac after a couple weeks here - nicer location, rooms, and facilities (gym is way bigger), but the rates are higher as well.

I stayed at this hotel for three nights and enjoyed my time there. It was well kept, and quiet. The rooms were large and up to date. The staff was helpful and the roomservice was quite tasty yet far from cheap. The biggest perk however, were their delicious chocolate chip cookies.

I'd stay here again.

Nice hotel not so great location.  Good van service to the airport..  Doubletree hotels have always provided good clean rooms in all their hotels I stay in.

Oh, Doubletree. I wanted to like you, I did. Especially given that I was clearly given some sort of free upgrade at check-in, which was really nice of your people.

But... that room upgrade, which was huge - hell, I had a conference table and 3 sofas in my room - wasn't all that. Luckily I was here for a total of 10 hours so I didn't have to deal with this place too terribly long.

- The ceiling had really obvious water damage. It was super gross.
- One HVAC system was on cold, the other was on warm. I must be a moron, because I saw no buttons (just a blank panel) to adjust the setting and my bed was on the cold side of the room. BRRR.
- The TV volume wouldn't go up loud enough for me to actually hear what they were saying. Correction: it went up on the screen, but the actual volume never increased.
- The open shower concept was fine, except I spent more time trying not to spray water all over the bathroom floor than I did showering.
- Terrible bathroom lighting + no full length mirror = this hotel is clearly geared towards businessMEN and not women.
- The bed wasn't that comfy.
- The temperature in the fridge was so cold my bottled water turned to ice overnight. Just what I wanted when I woke up freezing thanks to the a/c issue.

Free parking. Free WiFi. So, not all is lost.

Just okay overall.

It was a cold, wintry night.  I'm talking it was so cold I nearly tried to work out a deal with the United employees to let me sleep on the plane because I didn't want to even be in the jet bridge of the aircraft.

Nonetheless, despite the snow and unrelenting winds, a hotel shuttle picked me up and drove ever so cautiously to our destination.  From the moment I walked in, service was very good.  I was offered warm chocolate chip cookies (which I simultaneously politely declined and bit my tongue at the same time) and told there were two bottle of water waiting for me in the room.

Get to the room and its spacious, clean and comfortable.  Got situated and then went down to the bar/restaurant, Cooperfields.  It was the night of the big game (the one Venu F. went to Pasadena to see) and Cooperfields was packed.  However, the lone server, Ginger G., did such an awesome job of taking care of everyone and handling the orders as best she could.  She did great!  I ordered a glass of Sauvignon Blanc and the triple decker club.  That sammich must've been as tall as an encyclopedia.  It was huge and I, not wanting to injure or embarrass myself, had to deconstruct it somewhat just to take a bite of it.  It was very good, though.

Breakfast was complimentary for Diamond members and it was a nice spread.  I liked that they had organic foil packs of milk and chocolate milk.  I asked to take an extra chocolate milk to my room as a post jump rope drink and was told to take two if I wanted.

I'd absolutely stay at this hotel again and would hope to have the same people serve me next time as much as the last time; they were really, really professional all the way around.

I was here for a convention of sorts.  We used the conference rooms/banquet rooms.  The staff was all very nice.  The rooms were large and seemed to be maintained very well.  I was not a fan of the food however.  The wings had very little chicken on them.  The wing sauce was passable but not anything to write home about.  The Toasted Ravs kept on coming out cold and tasted frozen (they most likely were).  The fruit all tasted fresh and they had some very large strawberries.  I did not spend the night here so I don't know how the rooms are but the hotel seemed to be very clean and as I said earlier the staff were all very nice.

Went to a packed airport on a Friday afternoon and the airline offered me a voucher to fly the next morning. They put me up in this hotel for the night.  The shuttle driver to the hotel was friendly and helpful with his tips about restaurants and things to do around the area. Although, there is nothing in walking distance, there is a shuttle that will take you to the dining options. Shuttle service to the airport is available every half hour. The check-in staff however left much to be desired. Presenting my voucher, I suddenly heard, "here's another one." Not sure if the airline voucher was the cause of their confused and somewhat unhelpful attitude but it was disappointing after such a friendly shuttle driver. After asking about a hotel restaurant, they pointed down the hall and when asking about the food voucher given to me by the airline, they actually quipped " I have no idea." I wouldn't mind so much, except isn't that your job? 2 Stars for subpar check in staff.

The rest of the hotel is nice though, with upscale lobby, bar and the rooms are modern, spacious, and clean. There is free parking and a mini-fridge. Ate at the bar and the bartenders blew the check in staff out of the water. Friendly, fun, helpful and never left me thirsty. They give 2 stars back for a 4 star review. Check out staff in the morning was much nicer and definitely made up for the prior experience.

I have stayed here a couple of times during my travels to St. Louis. Overall, I believe this hotel is solid. Let me break it down:

The goods:
The lobby is gorgeous. For a moment on my first arrival, I felt underdressed and had to double check my room rate.

The price of the room was very reasonable com paired to some of the other places I've been around town.

The front desk folks are very professional and helpful. I have never witnessed any sort of "Problem", nor have I had any myself.

The rooms I had were a decent size with a massive desk, and a flat screen tv that int hotel locked (ie you can plug an xbox into it without having to bend the rules)

The king beds are fantastic, best sleep I've had in a hotel room.

The soaps and lotions provided don't make you smell like you're living in a hotel, which is a weird plus for me.

The rooms I had came with either a very comfortable couch or chair. Which is another thing I am funny about.

Free internet

The bads:
Climate control is a little funny, the wall thermostat controls the under window unit, but I feel like it lies to me. It says 70 when it's feels much more like 50. Not a big problem when I sleep, as I like my room to be cold. But when I'm at the desk, it's bloody chilly.

The internet is spotty sometimes. Granted I am a gamer and a bandwidth bandit, but it Is important to me. Office folk will find it ok... Gamers will be a bit PO'd. But you get what you pay for, and it was free.

Unless you are gold status or above, breakfast is not free. But to top it off the cooked food is mediocre at best. Stick to the bananas and yogurt.

That invigorating hot morning shower is not guaranteed... Sometimes the hot water doesn't get there very fast while other times it fades to lukewarm. This is my biggest complaint.

In summary:
Like I said, it's a solid place. I wasn't blown away, but I wasn't disappointed either. The pros and cons smooth each other out. But I would still recommend it for the weary traveller who would like a good night sleep.

Spent the weekend here for my bachelorette party and the hotel was ok. They put us in rooms next to each other, which is what we requested and the cookies are good, but the showers had VERY little pressure and the pool is pretty tired. The hot tub was fine until you try to turn on the jets... OMG! it's like it's going to explode. We had to get out of it until the timer went off. Oh and no free breakfast fyi.

Hilton standards always seem to be a little higher than the rest. This hotel has all the standard amenities like fridge, toiletries, lobby bar, business center, ect. However, the staff really seems to be running on all cylinders. They were very helpful, courteous, and efficient. Highly recommended..

Ginger in the bar is the best bartender I have ever had serve me drinks or work for me at my former bar. She handled. Full bar of 50 people solo and performed amazingly. Promote her and hire people she can train.
The rooms are a little musty

I love Doubletree.  This was clean and staff very courteous.  I have no complaints.  No Free WiFi, which would have gotten them that last star.  It was a quiet room and I presented there and the conference rooms were well maintained and audio visual was without problems.

Great service. Example: We ordered a cab but it didn't come for 40 minutes (not the hotel's fault). The front desk employee noticed our long wait and gave us free drink tickets for the hotel bar. Booyah!

Clean rooms and common areas, very comfortable beds, great service, and c'mon, warm cookies of course!

Going to hold back just one star for this property due to its age starting to show a little bit. Nothing major, just a little scuffed paint here and there.

The staff is absolutely tops like most Hilton properties.

Plenty of parking, very easy access, shuttles to the airport.

Attractive lobby and bar area. Approved!

Nice and clean hotel. Beds were not as comfortable as I would have liked, but the staff was friendly and the hotel was pretty nice overall. Free wifi, free cookies, a nice lobby and bar area and plenty of parking. Can't ask for a whole lot more.

This hotel was really good, and this is coming from a guy who stays in a lot of hotels. The classic Doubletree chocolate chip cookie is always a delightful welcome treat. The beds are the absolute best: Serta Perfect Sleepers with a Fairview mattress topper for extra padding. And the pillows are the best, simply the best... This is huge leg up for this hotel over competitors because a good, deep sleep is a primary necessity at a hotel.

The front desk staff were very friendly and accommodating. They had a good breakfast in the morning: A buffet for about $12 and you could have a tasty omelette made for you for an extra $3. And they have hot sauce!

The only qualms with my room and my friend staying in a another room was that the bathroom could have used a little more attention to detail in cleaning. There were some hairs on the floor and the shower. Also, the lining of the toilet and the floor showed some unsightly stains. They need to put a new type of lining there. Inspecting my mattress for the name, because I am going to buy one for myself, I did discover a gross looking stain which I will include in a picture.

Overall, you can't really go wrong with a Doubletree. They are up to Hilton standards of guest service and the beds are incredible.
