I'm giving this four star rating on the basis that this is the nicest two star hotel I've stayed at. When I first walked in I was nervous because this is an old hotel and everything is dark wood, floral, green marble, etc. Not exactly what I look for in hotel decor. However, what the decor lacks, the hotel staff and amenities makes up for!
The room was what I expected with floral decor, green carpet, and older furnishings but the bed was comfortable, there was FREE wifi, and the bathroom was just fine.
I checked out both the happy hour and continental breakfast and both were good. They had decent wines at the happy hour (for free) and the breakfast was a hot breakfast which you don't see at too many two star hotels.
Finally, what really pushed my rating to four stars, was the hotel staff. EVERYONE was friendly and went out of their way to make your experience as nice as possible. They even called after you checked in to see if there was anything they could do. Nice touch for sure.

Just stayed here with a Girl Scout troop and the service was awesome! Great location, free food at breakfast and at 5:30pm, self serve soft drinks and popcorn from 3pm-10pm.  Clean rooms, smallish pool but the girls still enjoyed it.  Walk to everything from here and if it's a little too far for you, take the very clean and reliable Metrolink that is located about a block from the front door. Would definetely stay here again!

for what it is, this is seriously the best place i have stayed.  sure, i have stayed in some of the nicest, most hip places around but for a night in st. louis where all we needed was a place to crash, this was it!

    it was very reasonably priced.
the staff was nice and accommodating beyond words.
there is free popcorn and fountain soda in the lobby!
you get 3 free drinks during happy hour!
you also get an hour of long distance calling for free.

bottom line, if you are in town for a wedding like we were, or a concert, ballgame or something similar, book your stay here!  they are so nice and great that you will feel right at home.

Like staying here.  The rooms/baths are always clean. Theres in room refridgerator.  No problems in getting extra towesl or pillows.  Pool also provide towels.  Breakfast is always a hit with waffles and hot items like biscuts and gravy, sausages, eggs, and fresh fruit.  Go early for breakfast because the lines get long for the waffles.  They also have happy hour cocktails one free drink per person per night along with horderves.

The Drury Inn at Union Station is the best hotel in Downtown St. Louis. It's located directly across from Union Station and there's always something to do within waking distance. As with all Drury Inn's, the have the 500pm free happy hour which is really nice considering they pour top shelf drinks. This location also offers free parking which is somewhat of a rarity.

Nearly choked on the cloud of toxic chemicals they used to clean the room. Sure enough, I woke with a headache the next morning. Glad some people like it. For $109, I expect some attention to this aspect in this day and age.

    Nice room.

Coming from Chicago, I appreciate free garage parking!

Yummy line of free food nightly. Complete with 3 free drinks! Make a meal out of this and spend the rest of your money on drinks.

    Pool area looks nice.

    Great location.

Great hotel! Free breakfast, free happy hour/dinner, free popcorn, free soda from the soda machine in the lobby! More tv channels than most hotels! Sparking structure that is locked down pretty good. You need your room key to get in or out. The staff is really nice too! We really enjoyed our short stay here!

What an absolutely beautiful hotel! The staff are incredible. Included in the price of the hotel are free breakfast & dinner buffets. The hotel is very convenient to the MetroLink. I stayed here when U2 was in town. The hotel was filled & I could not have been happier with where i stayed. I would definitely recommend.

Thumbs up!  Stayed here the night before the Rock N Roll marathon.  Fantastic location in the historic former Railroad YMCA, very cute lobby, decent pool and nice big whirpool.  Free parking made in and out a breeze.

Ditto to what others have said about the breakfast and dinner buffets.  I was very impressed with the friendly staff, and especially grateful the  opening of breakfast an hour early on Sunday to accomodate the runners.  Very cool!

Room 419 was a little weird....we had no window at all.  However, the room was spacious with a king bed, large sofa bed and reclining chair.  The bathroom was the tiniest I've been in outside of Hong Kong (and it may be a tie!)

We had an easy walk to the starting line and back from the finish line.I will definitely book a room here next year for the race.

For a weekend trip to St. Louis, this turned out to be the best place.

Good: The location is across the street from Union Station, one of the attractions in town I planned to visit. The location is about a two minute walk to an LRT station (at Union Station). Awesome, free, hot breakfast. I've enjoyed many free (included in the price of the room) hotel breakfasts over the years. This is the best I've experienced based on the variety of hot meats, eggs, waffles, cereals, biscuits, gravy... I could go on and on. The style/decor of the hotel is great. It is an older building completely restored and up to date (it was originally a YMCA back in the day). There is plenty of parking in an attached, multi-level garage.

Bad: Not much was bad. It wasn't the cheapest price in down, but I felt it was not that expensive and a good value.

Location is great - close to lots of restaurants, pubs etc., as well as Union Station.
The price encompases free parking, breakfast, happy hour (3 free drinks, finger food) - and while not the least expensive hotel, you get value for the money.
The staff are fantastic - very friendly, happy to help.
The area is safe to walk around in.
The rooms are clean, and everything is in good repair.
All in all, happy with our choice.

The on-site restaurant gets good ratings on yelp (rightly so) which is one more plus.

    Would I return:  yes
    Woudl I recommend:  yes

Dog stays free. Car stays free. Free breakfast. Free happy hour and apps (hot dogs, mac and cheese, nachos). Good location, nice rooms, friendly staff. Indoor pool and hot tub.
The freebies saved us a couple hundred dollars for the weekend. If you have a dog and a car, there is no better place.

I've never stayed at a hotel in 30 years as spectacular as this one.

It was almost as if I was warped back in time back to the good old days of the 1980's or better yet, early 1990's. Back then, things and life were complimentary, before greed set in and everyone was nickled and dimed.

Several things impressed me about Drury Inn. I would stay here again without even thinking about it. Rooms were clean and big for what I spent for the night. Beds were big and the bathrooms had shampoo dispensers as well.

Most impressive was the complimentary service. Free parking, free breakfast buffet. I don't mean the shit breakfast buffet everyone is used to, with bread, processed juice from 18 years ago, and a glass of water. Waffles, toast, bagels, syrup, cereal, you name it, they had it. Customer service was excellent, helping me to navigate around the city. They were excellent.

One can only wish others followed Drury's lead, but then again, life is just not that simple.

Whaaaat? This place is AWESOME! And I'm a Four Seasons kinda girl. I actually considered cancelling my upcoming Four Seasons STL stay for Drury Inn because IT WAS THAT GOOD. (I didn't cancel... I mean, it's the Four Seasons... but I did consider it!)

This was the perfect spot for a Blues Game because it is so close to Scottrade.
The parking is free, I oved the free popcorn and soda, the "kickback" and breakfast in the morning was a pretty solid selection. The pantry closet with all sorts of treats was a nice touch. Reasonable pricing.

The pool and hot tub looked so inviting after being out in the cold but I didn't bring my suit. Fail. The decor in the lobby is lovely... dark but grand and very clean.
Everyone was happy; guests and staff alike. I smile thinking about my stay here.

We woke up at 9:45 (long night) and asked for late check out because I didn't feel like getting out of bed anytime soon. They pushed back checkout 2 hours, to 1pm, no questions asked. Oh the little things make such an impact on an experience. I left that hotel with a smile on my face, mentally planning my next trip.

All of this for around 110/night. Seriously affordable vs other options in the area, and you get SO MUCH MORE.

I snagged a Drury Inn at the Arch stay for 3 days for the Opening Day Cards series and I'm thrilled. Can't wait to try another location.

This is by far one of the best hotels I have ever stayed at. The beds were comfortable and the staff was very friendly. The pool is large and there is free parking! It is right across from union station and the Hard Rock Cafe. This is an overall great hotel and I would definitely recommend this to anyone!

I never never write reviews, but this hotel's accommodations are horrible! The hotel was full, so I was put in a smoking room, even thought reservations had been well in advance by the organizers of the convention. The front desk was rude and even annoyed that asked to be switched out of the room, if they didn't have enough rooms to accommodate everyone in a clean smoking free room they shouldn't have hosted the convention.

Drury Inn will throw your ass out in the cold at 3:30 in the morning in the middle of one of the most dangerous cities in the country when all you're doing is standing right inside the front door waiting for a cab (not even in the lobby). F U, Drury Inn

The place is beautiful. They offer great service and clean rooms!!! Plus, they offer breakfast, dinner, and 3 drinks for free. The only down fall is the gym is real small with very little equipment. But other than that they have a awesome pool!!! Trust me guys its a great stay!!!

!Clarifier - this is only a review of their breakfast buffet.

This might be my favorite breakfast in St. Louis. My sister, mom, aunts, and grandparents were in town visiting and I had the buffet twice. The service was amazing - their staff was friendly, conscious to filling your cups and catering to your needs without obtruding.

The buffet costs $15 and comes with complimentary, unlimited great coffee and fresh orange juice. I'm a snob for both beverages and was absolutely pleased. On top of this there is a fresh fruit bar (watermelon, melon, strawberries, and blueberries that had a Whole Foods quality measure about them), micro smoothies next to that,

And an oatmeal station with all the fixings (pecans, walnuts, apricots, golden raisins, dried cranberries, brown sugar, honey, dot dot dot).
And then their are croissants, pastries, donuts, bagels, bread...
    And an omelet bar...
And a prosciutto, cheese, I never seen this at a buffet but I love that it is here kinda station...
    And
    And
    And

    And when are you going?

    This hotel is great!

    MY ABSOLUTE FAVORITE...

+FREE (COVERED) PARKING: OMG. This is why I am writing a review of this hotel on Yelp. The garage is FREE and  EXTREMELY SAFE. You need a hotel room card to park inside the garage, AND  there is limited entrance into the garage from 7 PM to 7 AM if you don't have your hotel card.

At night time, the garage is completely closed to the outside; they even have those metal chain dividers, IN ADDITION to the room key activated bars. I felt SO safe leaving my car in the garage, and even if I did leave any valuables in my car, I would be able to sleep soundlessly through the night because I know they will still be there the next morning! I don't see how any intruders will be able to get in.

    The extra's:

+Complimentary, HOT breakfast: No worries. You won't find the continental type of breakfast here where all they serve is dry cereal...there are sausages, tater tots, cereal, bread, juices, waffles, oatmeal, etc -you name it! There are also PLENTY of tables to situate everyone, so you don't have to worry about arriving too late to breakfast and scrambling to find seats.

+Complimentary, DINNER & DRINKS: It's a rarity that hotels serve dinner, but this Drury Inn does! The menu can be found on their website, but it's pretty much a rotating selection of pasta and chicken tenders, along with soup, potatoes, etc. They also provide free alcoholic beverages!! Sit back and relax!

+Clean Rooms: The rooms smell great; beds were comfortable; HD TV; free wi-fi.

+Friendly Staff: Staff were extremely friendly in providing directions to attractions, numbers to rental cars, and anything you need help with.

THANK YOU DRURY INN UNION STATION for providing these impeccable services! Money well spent.

My husband and I used the Drury for our May 2014 wedding. They were more than accommodating to us and our guests, especially given that we had to keep enlarging the number of rooms in our 'block'. Breakfast, FREE PARKING and location were great amenities for our guests and we were able to rent a room the morning after our wedding for gifts. We heard no complaints about the rooms as all were cleaned well regularly and the suites were all spacious (be cautious of the one in the basement though - while it's great that you have privacy because it's the only room down there, there are no windows). The hotel is also historical and a good change of pace from the usual hotel feel. The staff were professional and easy to get ahold of with any concerns - I would definitely recommend them for any stay in St. Louis or bridal party.

What an awesome place to stay!! My boyfriend and I made a last minute decision to visit STL for a concert that happened to be the same weekend as Mardi Gras. While the rest of the hotels in the area were either sold out or way over priced, we found this one for $130 a night. The man who checked us in was very welcoming, he joked with us and didn't seem stressed by how busy it was. Fortunately we arrived during happy hour so we sat down and had some snacks and drinks, all for free. They had a pretty good variety of snacks- popcorn, hotdogs, nachos and to drink I had a cranberry & vodka and a tequilla sunrise. It took us a while to find our room.. This hotel is HUGE. Our room was clean, beds were comfy. My only complaint was the noise, we were woken up the next morning by kids running around and screaming. I think there may have been a ball tournament because kids were EVERYWHERE, I know it's hard for the hotel staff to control so it wasn't a big deal! Overall, our stay was very nice. Wish we could have stayed longer to enjoy the pool and more happy hours :) Thinking of visiting STL again in July and definitely will stay here!

Very clean. Friendly and helpful staff. Any staff you would see always said hi asked if your stay is Ok if you need anything.

The room was nice. Clean, quiet. Beds were comfy. Wish the pillows were a tad fluffy. The maids were quick and very nice made our kids beds with their blankets and pillows.

The pool was Ok temp could be a tad warmer. Hot tub was good. Was busy after 6. Lots of towels they were always bringing in more.

The food was great. We had dinner twice each night was a tad different. And breakfast. As for the dinner it was amazing and nice to come back and kickback like the signs say and that's what we did. The food isn't anything special but we liked it all. The bonus to dinner the drinks and the late snack of popcorn that was awesome. Thank you. Breakfast was good. I would like to see hard boiled eggs. The eggs were good and biscuits and gravy yumm.

    This is a great hotel.

I decided to take a break and get away from Chicago for the weekend. St. Louis was the closest option that has some things to offer.
I was little skeptical before booking this hotel. This hotel definitely made my weekend trip.
What you get for the price is really good, and can not be beaten by other places. I always Airbnb where I travel somewhere but this place offers way more than Airbnb hosts in St.Louis.
    - Free parking in the down town of STL, right next to the Union Station.
    - Free hot breakfast and it was good! (Eggs, biscuits, yogurts, cereal, waffles, cupcakes etc...)
    - Free evening snacks with 3 drinks! Wow
    - Free wifi
    - A small swimming pool...All included in the price. I will be back.
Hallways and elevators needed some cleaning but I will not cut a start off for that.
